Alexis had been dropped off around the base of the school. The school was currently in a lower orbit to allow students to get on campus if they were new. She was using the magic her father taught her. "Hyperstride." She ran and leapt higher not far from the school grounds. She threw her hand holfing the rope from her messanger bag. into the sky and yelled "Rope trick" her rope left her hand and wrapped around a tree on the grounds allowing her to climb up and the campus was amazing.

The Cloak had arrived early getting up to the school was a challenge, but it was a worthy achievement in his eyes, he stood in front of the school in the shade of an tree curious as to how they got something to grow up here without soil, but shrugged it off when he on accidentally leaned against the tree killing the thing. He walked off passing it off as something else and hid in the shade of another tree watching all of the new arrivals.

By the time Kyran reached the school campus he was panting. He really should have used magic but he hadn't. He had always loved challenges and at least he could say it was worth it. The school was absolutely gorgeous. He found himself a nice little spot under a tree and settled himself beneath it sighing in relief. As much as he loved it challenges were tiring.

Xander walked up to the school. Fear had rushed throughout his body after he glanced up at it. Why did his parents suddenly switch schools? His old school was so good. Xander made a lot of good friends, the staff there was super friendly to. He sighed, thinking about all his good memories of the school and walked in inside the school. He just had a bad feeling about the school. Xander looked at his ring, remembering what his parents told. Don't take it off unless he got in troblue. Why...he wondered

Quinn walked onto campus. She was excited, the students were unusual, and had abilities as well. Quinn still wouldn't fit in. One bad part about being a Succubus, is that all the guys love you, and so you tend to stick out. She noticed other people outside the school, on grounds.

Oh! Is this it?
Alexandrite looked towards what seemed like a floating island with a large building in the center. With a spring in her step, she ran up to get a closer look, and found herself in awe. It was something she hadn't seen before- and it certainly piqued her interest.

A comfortably familiar warmth spread around the soles of her feet, and she jumped. Synchronizing it, she released her concentrated flames just as she leaped and accelerated herself so that she rocketed into the sky, getting a clearer, overhead view of her new school. She could already spot little dots along the campus, and she assumed they were people. She fell back down towards the island and eased herself onto the ground with the help of her flames, all the while with a smile on her face. This is going to be so much fun!

While she was wandering about, she found another person who settled herself on a tree. Her eyes sparkled in excitement, and she jogged towards her, stopping around the base of the tree. Alexandrite looked up at her, and waved with a cheerful smile, "Hello!"

"What in the hell's bells is that?"

His slightly...I dunno. British? Scottish? European accent seemed to echo throughout the seemingly lively forest. Though, if you were in it like he was, it was sort of bland. Everything was either asleep, or out to feed their kin. And, that wasn't a bad thing. It was just a slightly boring one. He felt some small eyes, probably the fox cubs or baby birds, on him, but really, it was easy to ignore it.

He then remembered. The slightly legendary academy, at least by his standards, that FLOATED IN THE BLOODY SKY. Scoff. I mean, what if someone couldn't fly up there? What would they do then? Just try and jump up, but then fall all the way down because they're assing idiots? Probably. But, I digress, it was something he forgot quickly, the old-timey bugger. He just spent his time looking at (and sometimes helping) nature. And probably luring away a hunter or two using his ULTRA COOL powers of NATURE. He blinked once, maybe thrice. Oh thrice. The word used in the 13th century, an Old English word. He used lots of these, actually, even though he wasn't around for that long, he still liked to use those words.

Probably because he heard it just around the corner of the 20th century.

Kurtis decided to simply fly up to the school. The school, let me go into detail, was IN THE BLOODY SKY. AGAIN. I'LL KEEP SAYING THAT LOTS. Maybe it could be in the middle of the ocean? No? Okay. I mean, Humans would probably pass through it anyways, 'cause they couldn't see it, but oh well.

Ol' Alley didn't want ta show off, neither did he want to look boring. So, he did a mix. First, he simply flew up and onto the school grounds, and secondly, he made a few of the flowers that would inevitably be around his area bloom. Simply because, why not? People probably wouldn't get the fact that he was a bit of a god of nature, and that he did that, unless they had INCREDIBLE deducting abilities.

And he just sat down in the front of the school, near a tree that people weren't really going to.

Alexandrite shifted on her feet, waiting for a reaction from the girl. She waited a few minutes before the awkwardness of the situation became too much for her and she walked away, off to find something else of interest. She walked around the campus aimlessly, stopping every once in a while when she found something that proved to be mildly interesting. This continued for a while, until her feet brought her to the front of the school.

At that point, Alexandrite was considering playing with fire in the open fields until she caught sight of the bright colors of flowers, and she walked over with the sparkles in her eyes gleaming once again. These are so pretty! She crouched next to them, and a smile once again made its way onto her lips. She was perfectly content with sitting there for a while and admiring the gifts from nature. In fact, she was so engrossed in them that she hadn't realized there was someone else nearby.

Brann focused his energy towards the edge of the unfamiliar place in the sky. Steam seemed to appear for no where before causing a small explosion of fire, leaving behind only a figure clad in red. Brann looked around, unimpressed, thinking to himself, [i]This place will fall like all the others before, maybe.[i] He had seen the rise and fall of many civilizations and only a few have stood the test of time and chaos.

He approached the school, taking in as much detail as possible.

Surprised by the random explosion, Alexandrite jolted and looked up in surprise, to find a figure clad in red. Several seconds passed as she tried to process what had just happened, before she excitedly made her way towards the figure. Her dress fluttered around her as she jogged over to him, until she came to a stop a fair distance away from him. Alexandrite looked up at him with eyes of wonder.

"That was so cool! Do you control fire too?" she asked, slightly bouncing in place.

He studied the girl for a second as she ran excitedly toward him, too excitedly in his opinion. [i]This might be fun after all,[i] he thought to himself.

"Perhaps I do, perhaps I don," he said as his eyes flared red and he started to glow. "You might just have to find out."

Alexandrite blinked in confusion. She noticed his eyes turn red and the figure started to glow, "Oh, your eyes can turn red?! I wish mine could do that..."

She observed the interesting person a little more. She could contol fire, so that wasn't really anything new. Eyes flaring red, however, was something different. She wondered what other tricks he had up his sleeve. Maybe she could learn from him.

"Mister, what's your name?" Alexandrite asked while lightly rocking back-and-forth on her feet.

He released his energy, letting a ring of fire burn around the two of them. He let the fire burn red for a moment before he turned he orange and then blue. Brann's eyes glowed a brighter red.

"I am fire. I am heat," he smirked. "I am a fire god. One of many. Maybe the strongest, maybe the weakest, but definitely the hottest."

The wonder and amazement in Alexandrite's eyes evidently shone as she watched the flames dance around her. She wondered- what kind of warmth did they carry? What kind of feelings, what memories?

Memories.

Odd. An image flooded her mind.

The crackling of the surrounding fire, a bright red glow. There was a peculiar tugging on the back of her mind, and she desperately tried to grasp it.

What was it?

Soon, the feeling vanished into thin air, and Alexandrite felt as if she was in a daze. Her mind became blank, the image gone. She snapped out of her stupor at Brann's words, more than a little confused by his riddle.

"So you're a fire god," Alexandrite repeated, her cheer and excitement lost, as if the flames burned them away. "I still didn't get your name though, unless you're fine with me calling you Mr. Burns-A-Lot."

"Names have power. True Power." He frowned and he pulled the flames to his hand. She can be manipulated, it seems, he thought. "Sir Burns-a-lot? No i don't think that is what you should call me."

" You can call be Brann," he held out his hand and let the flames swirl around his arm.

Alexandrite "hmm-ed", before laughing, "You have an interesting way of talking!"

"Nice to meet you, Brann!" she greeted him, holding out her hand to shake. "My name's Alexandrite."

He took her hand and shook it, letting the fire swirl transfer to her. "You have potential, I see." He smiled at her, "Well, Alexandrite let us see what kind of trouble we can get into."

Brann looked around and spotted a person sitting under a tree. "Let's go see that person there." He walked off toward the tree.

Potential? What does he mean? Alexandrite tilted her head while playing with the swirl of fire. As expected, it felt a little different since it wasn't her's. but nevertheless she attuned herself to it and manipulated it so that it was a floating sphere beside her. She followed after Brann with a smile and a cheer of, "Alrighty!"

Brann approached the tree with the figure sitting at the base of it. "Hello there." He smiled, wondering what kind of person this was and what kind of trouble they could cause. Brann also kept a small bit of focus on Alexandrite.
