Name:Kiza Bay
Age: 20
Appearance:
Personality: Kiza, while not quite a wallflower, is kind of timid for lack of a better description. It would be best to say that he does not have a very strong personality. He is pleasant and outgoing enough in familiar settings or around those he trusts, but outside the walls of the guild or interacting with loud strangers he can quickly wilt into a fidgety state of nervousness or even mild exasperation at times. quite an amusing site, given his noble features and decent height, really. It not conflict that he shy's away from, given that he will always find his voice and courage for a friend in need, so much as it is the unknown or overtly loud things. Always quicker to defend other rather than himself. If there is one thing Kiza is really sensitive about, its the fact that he's a second generation dragon slayer and unlike his counter part in the guild, has never met or seen a dragon.
History:
Kiza is the bustard child of a low born woman and a highborn man. He lived the first few years with his mother, who passed due to a sickness in her lungs. He was still only a child then, and holds no memories of living with his mother save for the occasional dream like flashes of a warm, caring touch or the soft signing voice lulling him to sleep. Afterwards his father, Sir Hightower, took him in to his house hold, though did not openly recognize him as his child in any official form and rarely even in private. To this day he does not truly know if his father ever really loved his mother. Was that is why he took him in when she passed? or if it was simply because he wanted her out of the public spotlight, where a bastard child would be easy to keep under wraps and would not harm his public image. A mystery he'd never solve.
He lived, more or less, as a house servant. Most of his raising and caring was given to him by the others servants of the house. He was a diligent worker, hoping that being so would garner attention from his father, and perhaps even praise. But Sir Hightower was a very busy man dealing with both politics and business kept him off the estate most of the time.
One of his chief duties was to care for and provide company to the legitimate heir to the family. A girl only a year or so older than himself. This had him interacting quite often with her as well as Sir Hightower's wife, who knew of Kiza's scandalous origins. She was the kind of prideful noble lady that had a hard enough time dealing with the blow to her honor that her husband would conceive a child with a commoner, much less the unforgivable insult of bringing that child into their home. The woman didn't make life easy on Kiza. She was a talent mage and schemer, and did many things to make Kiza's life hard and treat him with disdain and vile contempt. Kiza and the daughter had started out as something close to friends, but children are known to imitate the parents and it wasn't too long before the girl was just as spiteful to him as the mother was.
While doing his best to keep tabs on his father, around the time she turned 10, he noted a pattern of sorts. She had heard his mother had been a magic user of some sort, a humble but respect specialist among the local guilds. His father's Wife was a talented magic user from a long family of highborn, well bred, mages. Much of the time he was home was spent admiring his daughters progress in developing magical skills. Clearly his father loved magic, he thought if he could use magic like his mother had, perhaps he could get the attention and love he craved from his distant father.
He took to studying under one of the servants, the one who had most closely raised and cared for him. He was an elderly man, but had studied magic in his youth and had enough know-how to teach him the basics. Kiza's natural affinity seemed to be with water magic. 5 years passed and though his skills steadily grew, especially given he had taken to sneaking into Lady Hightowers library and reading some of her magic books, he felt he paled in comparison to his half sister who had a more proper teacher and had been practicing longer.
Then one day, he heard some servant talking about some sort of major purchase the Hightower family had made. Of some sort of rare and powerful magical item. A Larcime filled a lost kind of magic. He felt this was his chance to do something incredible and get her father's attention and acceptance. If he could make it so he could use the lost magic in that Larcime he'd surely prove to be a good enough mage for her father's approval. He snuck into the storage room late one night and after much searching found what he was looking for.
It hadn't quite been like other Larcime he had seen before. It was more rough shaped, jagged and more opaque. It was the most brilliant green-blue he had ever seen, as if someone had turned the sea into a shard of glass. Gingerly he reached out to take hold of it, but as soon as his fingers touched it he blacked out. He wasn't sure what happened, but he remembered a great deal of pain.
next thing he knew, he had woken up in a bed, and most of the household standing about it, including his father, the wife wife, and her half-sister. He was informed that he had stolen something meant for her half-sister, and such theft could not be tolerated, not even from him. So as punishment, as soon as he was well, he was to leave the household and never return. Delirious, in pain, and utterly heartbroken by this news Kiza could do little other than weep in response. The crowd left, save for those servant closest to him and most like his family to care and comfort him. Eventually it was just him and the servant who had acted as his magic teacher.
When they were alone, he asked her to try to use magic. While it took some coaxing for him to even attempt anything, he got a very unique surprise. His magic type before had been a water casting type, but he ended up producing was something like a claw of swirling, green-blue, salt water about his hand rather than the clear blue little ball he had tried to make. It seems he had successfully absorbed the Larcime of a Sea Dragon. He told him not everyone could have done such a thing, and that doing so meant that he was a great mage indeed, or at least had the potential to be.
The praise felt like a hollow victory to him at this point, he asked him where could he go or what he could do. All he had ever known was living in this estate with him and the other servants.
He told him that when he was younger he had studied magic so that he may one day join a guild, and live a life of freedom and adventure. For various reasons he never ended up persueing such lofty dreams, but with this new power and nothing to hold him down here anymore, He recomened that Kiza at least go check it out so guilds, perhaps he'd find one he liked. Around others who would see him as an equal, as a comrades, a new family.
Apprehensive and nervous, but with no other real option he did just that. Once he recovered and was discharged from the Hightower estate he made his way to the home of Fairy Tail. And, much to his surprise, found a new place to call home and a new, much more real, family. 5 years later and he had never felt more at home anywhere in his life.
Magic Type: Sea Dragon Slayer Magic
Considered the 'mirror' of sky dragon slayer magic. While the user can demonstrate the ability to attack by generating sea water it is not their only ability. As they Sky dragon slayer is able to enhance their allies abilities, the sea dragon slayer, conversely, is able to weaken and disable opponents.
