Gabriel glanced at Morthos, as he extended his hand out for the handshake. "G-gabriel Knotts, "The Laughing Scorpion", Professional Entertainer, Freelance Adventurer, and I will now add Fantastic Fist-Fighter, to my introduction." Gabriel turned back to glance at the chef, "Y-yeah." Gabriel turned his head to the side and coughed, before glancing back at Morthos, "Nice ta meet ya." Gabriel peered towards the Tavern for a moment, before returning his attention to Morthos. "A-and thanks for liking the material." He then focused upon Taliesin, who just blinked at Gabriel. Then Gabriel focused at the tavern for a little bit, before looking back to Morthos, "So uh... what do you do?" Gabriel's face continued having blood come down, dripping onto the ground below.

"Uhm... thanks, I guess?," Lily replied, not exactly sure if Morthos' comment was supposed to be an insult or a compliment. One way or another though, something else worthy of more immediate attention caught her eye. Namely, Gabriel bleeding all over the floor.
"Oh, hey, let me take care of that," the sprite said, gesturing at Gabriel's injuries. With that, she removed the lid from her bottle, allowing her to slowly move a gentle stream toward the halfling's face -- of course making sure that the sap wouldn't suffocate in the process. "This might sting a little, but it's good for you," she told her new comrade. "By the way, does anyone have a healing potion? I can apply it directly to his injuries; it's much more effective that way." As for the chef, Lily completely ignored the jerk.

Gabriel mouth curled into a frown, as the stream moved towards his face and began its work. "Ah jeez! That stings!" Gabriel glanced at Billy, as he patted him. "T-thanks, and I will only fist fight when necessary." Gabriel gurgled, as the healing water continued towards his face. Please tell me I can't drown in this stuf- Well, I'm starting a bit better, I suppose. Gabriel's nose began cleaning up proper. Is this gonna reset my nose to? He thought to himself.

"Hand to hand is the basis of all combat." James stated, pulling Gabriel's nose into place with a wet pop. "You shouldn't neglect it. Even your sword's knocked from your hands, you should be ready to knock your opponent down and drown him in the mud."

"If you knew this, I would have bet on your side in the first place." he explained.

Gabriel yelped out, "SHIT!", as his nose was pulled back into place. "... You never asked if I fought in hand to hand combat! I mean, just because my primary fighting is using my wondrous throwing blades, doesn't mean that I don't have plenty of other tricks!" Gabriel's face began clearing up from the various bruises due to the healing stream of water. "I totally looked heroic during that fight."

"Throwing knives are generally left for parlor tricks and whittling away time." James retorted. "Most soldiers just grab a crossbow nowadays. If you have a knife, it's usually just one long one, like this." he pointed to the dagger hanging from his belt.

"I am just upset that you bet on him is all." Gabriel frowned, as the waters continued doing their job. Gabriel peered towards the tavern, as he waited for the waters to keep mending him up. He then glanced towards James, "You have to admit it was a cool looking fight." Gabriel then returned his focus to the tavern building.

Kenneth stood to the side quietly as the fight went on. He wasn't a big fan of puns but things had gone better than he expected. Chef beaten down, halfling got the girl, no lynchmob, no horrible murder attempts yet. It had been an entertaining evening overall. "You know, Gabriel, I could've healed you sans the potion. If this ever happens again, you can ask me for a discreet little boost before the fight starts. Strahl doesn't mind. Less pain on your end that way and all. Of course, I wouldn't want to interrupt a duel between men otherwise".

Gabriel glanced at Kenneth as he gave a thumbs up. "Oh I think I'll keep that in mind for the next fist fight... That guy was tough." Gabriel smirked back at Kenneth, "Well it is good to know Strahl doesn't mind that," Gabriel glanced towards Taliesin who was idly pawing at some dirt. Gabriel shook his head as he returned his focus to Kenneth, "Anyway, yeah, whenever I do this again, I am SO going to ask you for a little discrete boost."

"I'm just a travelling wizard, nothing special like you seem to be," Morthos told Gabriel as everyone else sang his praises and helped clean him up. "If you don't mind my asking, what do you guys plan to do next? And would you mind if I joined your fair group?" Travelling around alone was fine and all, but if Morthos wanted to continue and be safe to learn all he could, he needed a group. Power in number, it was a concept he learned long ago and would never forget.

"Or maybe we could, like, not do this again in the first place?" Lily suggested, putting the final touches to healing Gabriel's facial injuries. "I don't know, it's just a suggestion. At the very least, don't go on handicapping yourself in dumb ways like that. For future reference, I can't heal death." That message being stated, the Sprite continued her healing work, now moving on the the many bruises on the Halfling's body -- in a fashion that was just a tad more rough than necessary.

Gabriel laughed, "It was totally worth it. Well from my perspective anyway." Gabriel wistfully noted, "Oh if only you knew how much it was worth doing it this way." Gabriel nodded his head. Totally worth it "Anyway how about you guys catch up on the supplies and logistics, well the original purpose of why we are here. And I'll take Taliesin to the tavern to get him acquainted with performing and people."

Gabriel glanced at Rue as he waved both of his hands, "B-but Rue, don't you want to find a way to go further down the Dungeon without going into the Tavern to a- Eh." He glanced towards Taliesin who was pawing at some dirt, he walked over there and removed Taliesin from his rope. "Alright buddy, we will go back into the tavern for a bit... Though if I need to, I will tie you out back again." Taliesin was licking his chops, as Gabriel walked into the tavern with him, before stopping. "Actually boy... Wait outside the tavern." Gabriel tied up Taliesin just outside the Tavern as he walked in.

As the crowds dispersed after the betting spree, people went back to their every day lives. People seemed to avoid the tavern, stepping over the chef's body. Some people even left the tavern, but high-fived Gabriel on the way out. The tavern was then left empty with Crystal leaning on the counter with a line of mugs behind her, waiting for people to come in.

"Well you can count me in on that adventure," Morthos said as he entered the tavern with the group. "Bottom of this place? Terrible monster? Sounds like an incredible opportunity to learn so many things." Morthos had already learned a great deal just from the distance he traveled from the surface to where he was now. He was just waiting for a group he could join so he could travel further with them and not fear for his life. Looking around he noticed everyone else had left the tavern after the fight, "do you always clear out places like this? Or is this a rare occurrence?"

Gabriel hopped up on the bar-stool as he glanced towards Crystal, "Ya know, if you want me to drum up a few customers, I am always up for an improvised show." He beamed a grin at her, "Or perhaps the less busy night may be a relaxing shift. Whichever one you are feeling of course."
