Ianto swallowed pulling the blanket tight around his sickly thin body. He climbed out of the manhole with Jack and into the hub.

JAck was silent as he walked by him. He saw how thin Ianto was. He knew he had to lock Ianto up.

Ianto let Jack guide him down to the vaults. It was cold, wet and quiet down there. He kept his head down as he moved his bare feet padding against the ground.

JAck took him down to the vaults and opened up one of the cells. He didn't know what to do. He knew that Ianto had caused enough trouble though. He had made sure the man had blankets. He didn't want him sick.

Ianto did not need any prompting. He moved into the cell and curled up on the small mattress in the corner. Wrapped tightly in the blankets he closed his eyes tight waiting to hear the door lock.

Jack looked at him once he lay down. He stood there for awhile and sighed. He then walked out locking the door. He went to go and talk with the others for a few hours before he went back to talk with Ianto.

Ianto sat up when Jack returned. "Sir?"

Jack was looking at him. "Hungry?" He didn't know what to say at this point. The immortal was quiet for awhile. "Your only here till I know what I am going to do."

"'M not hungry," he lied keeping his eyes down. The fact that the cell was only a temporary measure was little comfort. "Give me to UNIT? Kill me?"

The immortal looked at him not believing that. "None of those are an option." He replied. Jack was worried really.

Ianto lowered his eyes. "So what, I am going to live out my days down here?"

"No," Jack replied. He wasnt sure what he was doing though. He sighed. "But have to punish you somehow and locking you up is my only choice right now that isn't killing you."

Ianto was silent. For a moment. "And in the future?"

Jack was looking at him. "Won't be in here." he replied.

"I don't know Ianto, but not locked up I hope." Jack sighed looking at him.

Ianto pulled his knees to his chest. "You hope. What does that mean? I have to prove myself to get out of here?"

The immortal sighed "That I can trust you... Yeah." He was looking at Ianto. Jack wasnt even sure how it had come to this.

Ianto ducked his head pulling his blankets tighter. "I can't say that I wouldn't do it again, I would do it for someone I love in a heart beat."

Jack was looking at him. He seemed unsure what to say. "Well hopefully nothing like that will happen again."
