This rp will be a mixture between X-men and Heroes (but without the xmen or the heroes members)
Just as with Heroe's, we will first all have our own issues as we work with our powers, some might learn of them during the rp, some might know of them before the rp (and can be cause of the issues in a way), We all roam around, meeting each other from time to time and end up having to work together due to a bad event or evil wanting person of global or at least national danger level.
After that arc, it will be the idea that we all keep together and become a hero group.
BUT like with X-men, those with powers already exited in the general populations knowledge, this has been for nearly 20 years that 'gifted' or 'mutants' have appeared.
However, normal people hate mutants, see them as devil children (for the religious people) or freaks and so on, a 'freak hunt' has happened often before it the government said its illegal (mostly due to the fact that there were to many normal people hurt or killed during these hunts)
but its generally still an accepted matter for people to kill someone if they were deemed a 'mutant' IF they have proof.
perhaps I might be a bit too 'dark' with this?
in anyway, people generally hate those who are different, so in general, those with powers tend to stay hidden for their own safety.
furthermore,
I have a different style for the powers options:
there will be 5 basic slots for powers, but there are rules to use them
in order to fill the 5 powers:
-you can use a main power and add sub ability's to them
-the powers need to be connected someway
-set a theme
one exception of the 5 limit rule is to use a physical mutation (like Beast), the physical mutation would give a list of traits due to the physical difference (sense of smell, physical traits and so on) BUT as those with powers are hated, people like this will stand out like a neon blue spot of paint on a dark red floor.
so think carefully.
I wont use mutant levels for this rp, so we wont have alpha or omega class mutants.
It is not mandatory to add weaknesses but it is allowed and the stronger the person the more it is preferred.
then the rules for the amount of characters:
basically you can have as many characters as you can handle BUT after the first arc, there will be some rules to prevent total chaos.
-on missions you can only use a few members (depending on the amount of groups, what will be based on the amount of players and characters), this will be 2 on a normal situation (per group)
-the others will either join a different group or mission or remain on the base
-you can change between characters for missions each time the group returns to the base (so if you have 6 characters and all are active members, and only 2 groups, you can choose between 4 or 6 characters for each mission)
-there are exceptions to these rules that can basically be invoked at any time but try to refrain from doing so:
--even the ones not active on missions can be useful, base defense (if an attack would/ is allowed to take place), reinforcements, tactical support.
-you can post even from out the ones back in the base any time you want, so its not required to post only from the active missions group members perspectives, those staying in the base can also live during.
-you can add bad guys. just also add good guys and remember that we cant add our bad guys in every mission, it has to fit and would be weird of each mission has the same bad guy appearing, BUT even if we have a mission where a bad guy wont fit, they can still be used in a post if you want to, bad guys wont be villains just cause they attack the hero's each time, they can also just do a random act of evil or prepare a huge plan.
depending on the results and timing of such posts, we might even make that act a mission (for example, a bad guy attacking a mall due to boredom, if a group finish their mission and the bad guy is still active in the mall, then the free group might go to the mall, in some cases groups might need to be split or the home base group might need to go out if a bad guy is doing something bad enough that it requires action)
bad guys can also interact between each other and even form groups of there own of course
some good exceptions for these rules would be found in the members I would play/ add:
I got 3 active missions members all others are base group members (or civilians XD), one of which is a strategic person, so he would be tactical support like that, 2 would be children so they cant join any missions originally, one of them however is good for base defense and reinforcements, the other is the younger one and would be smarter to keep her at the base all the time (so no reinforcements or base defense) BUT she wants to be on missions and would from time to time try to join a mission group without everyone's knowledge (one of the exceptions of the rules I said that can be invoked at all times) and 2 others that while useful and powerful during the first arc, they dont want to be active and fight all the time, so they live in the base where its save but are just civilians, only in cases where they are needed would they use their powers
and I got one bad guy that might be the first arcs main problem and appear after that from time to time
also I might add an other char eventually as an other large arc and civilian (but with huge memory loss)
