"Let's eat first. We have the whole day to ourselves anyway," Hayley replied calmly and sauntered off to find a vacant seat in the park. Noticing an empty bench, she motioned to Isaac and sat down with him before unwrapping the BLT she was carrying and tearing it in half. "Here, give it a try," she said, offering him the half with the wrapping with the other unwrapped half for herself. "It smells good, but I can't exactly tell the taste from the smell alone though. Might as well dig in."

Before unwrapping his sandwich, he takes the half Hayley was offering him and tears the wrapping off of it. "You're right, it does smell good," he says before taking a bite of it. Letting out a pleased sound, he swallows and says, "And it tastes just as good, too!" Setting the sandwich on his lap, he unwraps his meatball marinara, tears it in half, and hands the wrapped half to Hayley, just like she did for him. As he eats the BLT, deciding to save his favorite for last, he accidentally lays his hand on top of Hayley's, but doesn't notice.

"Really?" Hayley asked after putting the other half of the meatball sandwich Isaac gave her for later, Hayley bit into the food and similarly mused with a pleasant surprise, "You're right. It's actually pretty good~!" Smiling softly, she felt something warm on her other hand and glanced aside to see Isaac's hand on hers. Despite the feeling of awkwardness that soon settled into her chest, she made no attempt to pry her hand off or alert him about it, as if she actually wanted it to begin with.

While he was eating, Isaac looked at Hayley to say something, but found her glancing down. Looking down, he sees that his hand was now on top of hers. Just as he was about to pull his hand away and apologize, Vincent locks his arm in place and says, Why do you wanna do that? If she hasn't said anything, maybe she doesn't mind it. You saw her notice it! After thinking it over for a few moments, Isaac founds that, surprisingly, his counterpart made at least a little bit of sense. Deciding to let Hayley ask him to move his hand or her move her own, he takes another bite out of his sandwich and, after swallowing, says, "We should come here more often. You know, just to enjoy everything."

"I'd love to, Isaac," Hayley replied, but her words had a tinge of uncertainty in them, rather unusual, given her personality. Looking up at the sky while being fully aware of where their hands were now, she softly said to Isaac, "Once I manage to land a job, we'll head out here more often. It is a nice place, I'll have to admit. I sometimes go out here once in a while just to clear my head. I feel more at home in places like this... Everything is so... open and real. It's a bit odd, coming from me, and I can't really explain it, but I really like it here."

Looking at Hayley as she explains how much she liked places like that park, Isaac can't help but feel something stir inside of him as he learns about yet another part of his friend. Shifting his hand slightly, so he was now actually holding Hayley's hand, he smiles and says, "I don't think its odd for you to think like that. In fact, I feel the same way. What I wouldn't give to live somewhere like this, the only difference being that I'd be miles away from big cities like this." It'd be even better if I could live there with you, he suddenly finds himself thinking.

Chuckling softly, Hayley took the last bite out of her share of the BLT sandwich and promptly moved onto the meatball one, then looked at Isaac with a light-hearted smile. "Would be nice to live anywhere but this concrete jungle. I'm honestly bored of it!" Taking in a deep breath, the blonde looked up and asked him jokingly, "When you look at those clouds, what do you see? Some people used to say that I have a vivid imagination, to the point where a few actually thought I was a total loon. Never thought much about it until now."

Isaac tilts his head at Hayley's question and looks up at the sky, chewing his sandwich thoughtfully as he looks at the clouds, having missed the joking tone in Hayley's voice. After awhile, he swallows and, pointing at a cloud, he says, "Well, that one kinda looks like a dog...then the one over there, the one the dog's drifting toward, looks like a fire hydrant." Looking back down, he then asks Hayley, "Why do you ask?"

"Eh, just wondering. Nothing you need to worry about," Hayley replied with a bemused grin as she took a bite out of her meatball sandwich, her eyes on the skies above. Pointing at a different cloud, she said to Isaac, "I think that one looks like a ship, sailing on the wavy sea of white ocean." Her steely blue eyes drifted back to the man beside her, a friendly glint shining in them. "I normally look at the clouds and let my mind run wild. That's how I de-stress myself after a violent day's work. Not exactly an image you'd find within the fight circuit, so I was just curious if I'm just being too imaginative. I hope it doesn't freak you out."

Smiling, Isaac replies, "No, it doesn't. Everyone needs a way to unwind and yours happens to be cloud-watching. I think that's a good way to relax." Then, his face flushed slightly out of embarrassment, he says, "Kinda like how mine is bird watching. Especially hummingbirds, just because the way they fly is so unique." Then, he chuckles and adds, "But, that's nothing compared to what Vincent does." Don't you dare, man, Vincent says. Even though he was told not to, Isaac says, "Vincent relaxes by cuddling with kittens. Imagine that, a guy who'd sooner kill someone than breathe, cuddling with a tiny little kitten, singing and using baby-talk."

Hayley nearly choked on her own food as a bark of laughter erupted from her lips. A few thumps on her chest helped solve her problem on time. "You're joking!! Are you serious?!" she asked with disbelief, her grin creasing from one end of her face to the other. "Imagine that! That psycho turns out to be a crazy cat psycho! Maybe he wasn't so bad after all!" Laughing at the more violent side's expense, the blonde had to held onto the bench railing to keep herself steady. "Man, and I thought I was a total cuckoo! At least I can confidently say that I enjoy cloud and bird watching, especially ravens. Yeah, they're a flock of smart bastards, but there is something about them and their negative stigma that I could relate to, to a great extent. They also happen to be my favorite animal."

Fuck you guys! Vincent cries as Isaac and Hayley laugh at him. Once he's calmed down enough to speak, Isaac says, "Ravens are pretty cool, but I've always preferred wolves. I guess it's because they're so misunderstood. They're constantly used as antagonists in movies and books, but that's only because of what they do to survive. In a way, I guess I'm the same way." Shaking his head, he takes a bite out of his sandwich and says, "But, that's only to be expected as long as people keep thinking the way they do, how they're constantly judging others. It kinda makes me sad, but there's nothing I can do about it, so why bother?"

"When there's an easy scapegoat to be used, why would they even bother thinking about it?" Hayley remarked, taking the last bite out of her meatball sandwich. "Ravens are also despised. They're considered an omen of death and disaster, messengers of Hell itself. Many cultures considered them to be evil as well. In my opinion, even though they do have an association to the darkness, I don't see them as evil, merely opportunistic like me. It's how we survive. Cats, wolves, ravens, they're all fascinating in their own way and none of them are of a lesser degree than the other animals." Closing her eyes, she noticed that the sun had begun to move again. "Well, we've stuffed ourselves silly. Why don't we move on and go around the city, just seeing what we could find?" she asked, waiting for Isaac to give his answer.

Isaac had just finished his sandwich when Hayley suggested that they go see if there's anything else to do around town. Nodding, his mouth full with the sandwich, he rises to his feet, only to stop once he realizes that he was still holding onto her hand. With a sheepish look, he, reluctantly, lets go of her hand after helping her to her feet. "So," he asks, "where should we go?"

Shrugging casually, she replied with no hint of worry whatsoever, "Honestly, I have no clue. Maybe we'll just walk around aimlessly and get lost. Maybe we'll find something interesting along the way. After all, the best trips are often the ones you don't normally plan ahead for!" Grinning from ear to ear, she looked at Isaac and teasingly asked, "Come on! Don't tell me you or cat psycho wants to chicken out! Where's your sense of adventure? I know a city would be the last place you'd go for an adventure, but live and let live for a bit."

Isaac chuckles and says, "Hey, I have no problem with wandering aimlessly. I agree with you that the best adventures are the unplanned ones." That said, he looks around for a moment before picking a random direction. Walking in said direction, he turns to Hayley and says, "Let's just hope we don't get lost. Considering the fact that we both know the city pretty well, it'd be pretty embarrassing to get lost, wouldn't it?"

With a hearty laughter, Hayley nodded and let Isaac lead the way once again, content to tail him close by behind. As they walked around, Hayley began to feel something strange. Something nagged on her mind and a cold, swirling sensation pooled inside her chest. They caused her no pain or discomfort, but their sudden presence made her feel wary. "Hey, Isaac. Is it just me or is it a bit... cool around here?" she asked, a brow cocked curiously.

Before Hayley even mentioned it, Isaac felt as if something dangerous were lurking close by. "I know what you mean," he says quietly, not giving any indication that anything was wrong, just in case someone was following them. "Something's gonna happen. I'm not sure what, but whatever it is, it's not gonna be good and it's gonna happen soon." That said, he takes her hand once more, saying, "We gotta get away from the crowds." He then pulls her into an alleyway, which he follows until they come out onto a large parking lot.

Hayley nodded and quickly followed Isaac, knowing that their collective chances for survival would be higher if they could isolate danger from a crowd of innocent people. Arriving at a large parking lot, the blonde turned around to see many sharply-dressed men, all of whom didn't look friendly. "Tch! Most likely Medicis' dogs," she hissed, feeling her urge to fight surfacing. "Isaac, what should we do?" she whispered as one of the men approached them. "Take the man alive, but make sure that the woman is disposed of," he said to the group as they began to surround them.

Let me out, Vincent pesters Isaac from inside his skull. Let me out, let me out, let me out! Ignoring him, Isaac whispers to Hayley, "I'm not sure. I wouldn't have any problem with them, but you can't make yourself bulletproof like I can. As soon as one of us moves, they'll open fire. I'll try to buy time and maybe create a distraction while you get away." Turning to the man who spoke, whom Isaac assumed was the leader, he asks, "Why do you need me alive? Why not kill me along with her?"
