T’charrl felt disorientated and a little scared, but if he was going to prevent madness from setting in and his aggression towards his friends he was going to have to try and remain calm as much as he could. He didn’t want anyone to see him or find him, but now everyone apart from just a few were all staring at him. He tried to speak about his problems and desires, but he couldn’t think of the right words to say either and now everyone was probably going to think of him as primitive. He wanted to communicate with them, but his own scouter not being present made it awfully difficult for him. Struggling to open his eyes, he moved his head around to try and get a look at Yumi, letting out a hiss as he tried his best to sit up. His shoulder was in a lot of pain right now, so taking a second to figure that out meant he had to shift his body around to reach out with his other hand. Taking a moment of hesitation, he gently touched her with the end of his claw and drew out a small portion of energy before withdrawing again. He was able to get his eyes open some more, but his responses still appeared weak and slow, “T-Thank you…n-not good at speak…” he mumbled, his hand slowly moving up to his sore shoulder, “N-Not feel ssso good…”

Shu was getting a little worried over his friend, especially when he seemed to be getting more primitive rather than smart and happy. T’charrl didn’t look happy in the slightest and it was almost as if his friend didn’t want to have company, something very strange when he knew his friend to be happy around company. Frowning a little, he sighed and nodded at Takeshi, “We should help him get all clean and sleepy-sleep! Food too, maybe?” he asked curiously, tilting his head, “Some fruit…? You not feeling all, umm…afraidy, right?” He was a little concerned since Takeshi was scared of bugs and T’charrl did look more like a bug, just hoping T’charrl wouldn’t pick up on any fear just incase he was feeling it right now.

Viral knew a lot of the King’s tactics and having him in battle was the last thing he would want too, preferring his forces to go first. He didn’t have a lot to lose when it came to throwing men at them and a lot of them fought loyally no matter what Vegeta assumed from them. Looking to Vegeta, he sighed and shook his head, “You’re merely looking at this from the sidelines, but I’ve been a part of it”, he spoke, not finding the memories particularly easy to revisit, “They will fight loyally and proudly, a lot of them. You think they live in poverty or are scared that they will be tortured, but most of the King’s forces are not! Maybe if you defeat them they’ll switch sides, but that’s because they don’t want to be on the losing side. The soldiers you’ve encountered are the lesser forces that hold little loyalty other than survival, they’ll only change sides because you defeated them”. They really needed to get out of this naïve outlook that all the soldiers were suffering or being bossed around, but if they just looked at this ship and what a lot of them had then surely they’d realise the soldiers probably liked having all this at their disposal and Kabocha’s family should had been a sign of that. Feeling less than confident about meeting up against the King’s forces, he looked to Vegeta and frowned slightly, “Fine, you do that and just…get me a drink, or something”, he grumbled, rubbing his head a little, “Maybe something alcoholic if you packed anything…please say you did…”

Yumi had scarcely used any energy in training today so she figured she could lend some of hers. She had never done it before and had no idea what it would be like, but if it was what T'charrl needed she'd do her best to provide. Extending a hand out to him she watched as he laid a claw on it, nothing noticeable happening at first. When she could actually feel her Ki being sapped she nearly pulled away, a bit deterred by the unusual feeling. It passed fairly quick and was over within seconds, leaving her no worse for wear. Smiling a bit warily Yumi glanced down at her hand, making sure nothing weird had happened to her before looking back at T'charrl. "Don't mention it, happy to help," she answered, her smile warming. "What doesn't feel well? Do you need food? Or medicine?" They were all willing to help but nothing could be done if they didn't know what was wrong. Granted with how 'well' T'charrl was speaking it was a challenge and a half just for him to tell them.

Takeshi watched curiously as Yumi and T'charrl carried out that transfer of power. It was a bit weird taking other people's energy like that, handy, but weird. If nothing else it woke up their friend a little but he still seemed to be pretty out of it. Eh... Why was there that weird tone to the Kaesstrian's voice? It sounded kind of like a bug speaking, funny thing to notice considering that's basically what he was. It could be just him but the way T'charrl spoke was a bit off. Looking down at Shu he smiled slightly, nodding in agreement. They should get him some food, but then again hadn't that kid brought the Kaesstrian some earlier? Eh, he couldn't remember right now. "We can get him clean now and then bring him back to his room," Takeshi said, speaking to everyone in the room. Since he and Shu were arguably the closest to him it only seemed fair that they take care of him. Being called out by his brother for his fear the older boy's cheeks reddened slightly, and with a tight smile he placed a hand on Shu's head, rubbing it a bit annoyed. "What are you talking about? I'm not afraid," he mumbled, trying to convey the 'shut up' look to his brother.

Vegeta was skeptical about where loyalties lied for the King's armies, even with Viral's rebuttal. Most of his forces weren't even Saiyans but men and women likely conscripted from other planets. Sure, as time progressed some may have actually become loyal, but he doubted the vast majority were. "I still doubt most of them are as loyal as you think..." he retorted, shaking his head. "Most of the soldiers are too weak to fight against their commanders, let alone the King. They probably use threats and force or instill fear to ensure cooperation. I just can't see so many people whose homes have been taken over willingly pledging allegiance to someone like that." The Saiyans he didn't doubt for a second would be loyal, he expected that of them. Those were the ones that Vegeta was not thrilled to be fighting, especially the likes of Elites and whoever the King kept by his side personally. There were probably all sorts of different sides to this conflict, the world wasn't as black and white as he might like sometimes. All he knew was who their enemy was and that they had to be stopped. "You think I'm going to give someone who is struggling with depression and stress alcohol...?" Not a very good chance of that unfortunately for Viral. Sighing softly Vegeta rubbed at his head, "I packed a fair bit, for occasions, not for casual drinking. Besides, if you begin drinking now then what, I'll be training with an intoxicated Beastman? Later, okay?"

T’charrl didn’t like taking energy from other people, especially his friends. It was alright when he had to do it, he had to take the General’s energy for example, but to have to take it just because he was weak and unable to move was just a little mentally painful for him to complete. He didn’t want to have to end up becoming a parasite. Shifting onto other concerns, he gave Yumi a weak smile back before looking down again, finding it hard to get his point across. He still needed a scouter to talk, it seemed. He wasn’t smart enough to use their language on his own but he was definitely improving, just not enough. Trying to think of a way to word it, he groaned as he struggled to search for it like a kid getting stuck on a hard maths question, “Hurting! Hurting many here…” he spoke, lifting his claw towards the orb on his shoulder before to his chest and moving it down his abdomen. He was trying to make it simple by pointing to the worst part, but he really didn’t know if Yumi understood, but he sure was trying his best. Letting out a few clicking sounds, he soon rubbed his forearms sorely, feeling pretty uncomfortable, “Head funny! Maybe better later…but lot hurting…”

Shu couldn’t help but feel sympathetic towards T’charrl’s struggles, especially when he had the exact same struggle when he was taken in by that old couple. He had zero knowledge over the language, but after intense teaching and constant tutoring he was soon able to speak on a comprehensive level. T’charrl had only been trying to speak it for just over a week with a little bit of Vegeta’s help, so it was lucky that he had managed to pick up this much before their time together was over. Frowning a little, he looked to Takeshi before giving a nod, bouncing slightly on his feet, “Yeah! Friend T’charrl get all clean and…umm, dusty friends can get clean too”, he spoke, looking to Yumi and Choi; both of them were powdery, probably after carrying T’charrl from his room. Smiling a little, he lowered his head slightly when Takeshi placed his hand on his head, his eyes staring up at him before he smiled a little, “Are you sure…? Really-really?”

Viral knew what it was like being a part of the King’s army and even with his collar controlling his thoughts, everyone else around him were willing to say their feelings about the Empire and how much they enjoyed killing things; of course, he was around Elites a lot but even the soldiers would say sometimes. Looking to Vegeta, he grunted at his doubt, “Hmph, you’d think that, being an outsider”, he muttered, “Saiyans are natural killers, they even eat other races…” He was surprised they still managed to believe that he didn’t miss anything from his services for the King, but after all that torture and experimenting he was in his natural element and able to do what his natural instincts told him to do. He could fight, kill and terrorise and be praised for it, but now that he was away from all that he was in a depression where he could barely do anything. He didn’t know what he thought about his services with the King anymore, whether he actually liked it or was just lying to himself. Feeling pretty down just from his confusion and thinking that, he looked to Vegeta when he was denied his drink, frowning in annoyance, “You’d probably deny me some for whatever occasions we’ll have too”, he grumbled, looking away, “One drink wouldn’t intoxicate me, anyway…it’d just soften the blow…”

Hopefully sharing some energy helped, T'charrl looked to wake up a bit at the very least. It didn't help everything as he was in pain, and that was definitely something worth trying to fix. Yumi wasn't quite sure what she could do but she'd try, and they had other people present to lend a hand as well. So the orbs were causing him pain then? Well that was a real pain, literally and figuratively because there was nothing she could do to help that. "Do you think getting into the shower might help? Some nice warm water could help you relax." She really needed to get in herself, her skin felt all flaky because of all the dust on her. Not to mention it was still rather irritating to her nose, she felt like sneezing more than once since getting here. Glancing back at Takeshi, Shu and Kai she got to her feet, dusting herself off a bit before sighing. "We're going to get cleaned up, so unless you three are doing the same mind leaving? I don't want this to be a party in the showers or anything." It was going to be a chore enough just getting T'charrl in and showering with two boys, she didn't need it to be any more awkward than it already was.

Takeshi felt kind of useless not doing anything, but Yumi had it under control, no reason to get involved too. They had no reason to hang around if everything was under control so they could get back to their training, or some semblance of training. They'd be getting cleaned up then, Yumi and the others, and he had every intent on leaving before they got to that. "Relax Yumi, we're on our way out," he said defensively, putting his hands up with a smile. Shooting Shu a look when he mentioned being afraid of T'charrl the older boy put a hand on his brother's head, pushing him down slightly as his smile tightened. For all he knew the others already were aware of his phobia but that didn't mean he wanted anyone hearing it. Shu was having fun teasing him over it, the little punk. "Really-really, now hush up or you're not getting any fruit," he threatened, "I just don't like them sometimes, doesn't mean I'm afraid of them, you know?"

"Er... You're an outsider too you know. Unless you actually feel you belong in his army, which in that case..." Vegeta shrugged his shoulders at that, not too sure what to think. He knew the Saiyan were brutal just from interactions with them, so hearing they eat other races wasn't too farfetched. For a race that was supposed to be civilized they were remarkably brutish, either that or simply didn't care about how they acted. Counting himself among them, even if he was only half-Saiyan was a touch humiliating. "I think you're missing the point Viral. I don't want you to drink to ease the depression, because you might become dependent on it for that. I'm fine with you drinking if the moment suits it, but I don't want to give you drinks because you feel you need it, understand?" It only took the one drink to lead to another, the easiest way to avoid that was to not even begin. Sure the Beastman was going to be upset over that but they had to be careful. "If anyone else drinks then you can have a drink, but I don't want to find you sneaking them, alright? I know it's a pain but I'm supposed to be taking care of you, and if that means keeping you away from alcohol then I'll do that."

T’charrl could only hope they understood him because he was really not comfortable sitting like this and quite frankly it was painful, his body hurting all over with certain points being worse than others. He wanted to get out of here and elsewhere, but quite frankly he could use someone to talk to even if the language barrier was present for now. He could keep his mind together better when he had company, but quite frankly he felt ashamed of himself and embarrassed. He wished he could talk with his mother about now, but he was in no state to and this was probably not the best time either. Frowning as he stared up at Yumi, he looked down at himself slowly, kicking his legs out a little and looking at them, “Y-Yesss…yeah…” he spoke, staring down at himself before looking up at Yumi with a frown, “Not sssure how to…how to walk…? Heavy and-…I-I’m sorrrry…” He could barely move and with his energy being pretty low he didn’t know where he might find the strength to get on his feet. He felt awkwardly shaped and a little too heavy, his wonder being directed towards the thought of how he was supposed to move this muscular frame. His other form appeared to be speed-based while this was pure raw strength, but the form that mattered to him most was his original form and that didn’t appear to be happening anytime soon. He felt like a monster right now, like a cave painting from the ruins of his kind’s old civilisation.

Shu bounced a little on his toes, getting a little excited now that he knew his friend was okay. He was really worried that something happened to him, but all that did happen was he got a little fatter, hairier and looked like he had been training a ton. He still felt a little sad about him, he wasn’t happy at all and appeared to be struggling; but no wonder, he looked heavy and he was very tired. Looking up at Takeshi, he giggled a little but when he was threatened with the removal of fruit he let out a squeal, making a grab for Takeshi’s shirt and pulling when he got a hold of it, “Nooooo!! Fruit is mine for me! You no the boss of me!” he squealed before letting out a giggle, “We need to train more! Or eat…then train! Noooo wait! We should get sweet stuff for Friend T’charrl first!”

Viral glanced at Vegeta, a little suspicious over what he was saying for a moment before looking away again. He didn’t see Vegeta taking much interest in his own experiences or what he did during his time under the King’s rule, but it wasn’t as if anybody really cared and just wanted to pretend it didn’t happen. That was the case for a lot of the stuff he did, but it was probably because they all cared for was getting another fighter out on the field again without him being so utterly useless. Getting angry at Vegeta, he frowned at his reasoning before letting out an angry huff, “Fine! I get it! Fine…” he snapped before letting out a sigh, shaking his head. Vegeta implying that he might steal drinks was a bit much, especially when he was supposed to have a sense of honour, “I am not a thief so I won’t be sneaking around like a coward. I’m not supposed to be a child either, so don’t think you’re my nanny or something. Just…get me some ice or something…a cup of ice…”

"So... Remind me again why they need our help?"

The rebel fleet was pretty impressive to look at. Having grown quite a bit over the last few months what was a ragtag group of turncoats was now an actual military force, comprised of some dozen and a half ships, not counting the flagship. Inside each were a fair amount of troops, some former Saiyan militants and others having been freed from Saiyan control. Wherever these troops had come from they were all united under a singular goal now; bring down the King, free the remaining worlds and restore peace to the universe. It was no small order, Takeshi would give them that, and they had one heck of an uphill battle before them. Still, why did they need him and his friends? Korian was still stronger than them most likely, Sayomi was no push over either. While a bit goofy Leto was powerful in his own right, and those were only the ones whose names he recalled off hand. The sibling pair Sasha and Ricken were probably stronger now too, they could definitely take on Elites if they had to. So why drag them back into all of this? He knew they had agreed to lend their assistance, but now that they were coming to the point of no return he wasn't so enthusiastic.

Like it or not they were here, and they had a promise to keep. After settling up alongside the flagship and docking a small group was gathered, the typical sort that would be heading in. Shu, Takeshi, Yumi, Vegeta, Viral and T'charrl would all go see the rebels while the rest remained behind to relax and wait for the news. Since the former squad was still the enemy as far as the rebels might be concerned it was best they stay inside and wait, same with Haku. Crossing the bridge into the flagship they were greeted by a small contingent of rebels along with Leto who, much to everyone's chagrin was going to be their escort.

"Look at all of you, it's been so long!" Leto said happily, beaming beneath his impressive mustache. Stepping forward he tried to snatch the entire group into a hug at once, only managing to nab Takeshi in the process as Yumi had so graciously pushed him forward as a 'sacrifice'. After near squeezing the life out of the young Saiyan he sniffled a bit, rubbing at his eye before saluting. "Welcome to our ship everyone! Under the Commander's orders I'll be your escort for your time here, and I will be the manliest escort you ever had! How I wish I had the time to show you around, but alas, we've got a schedule to keep! So then..." Leto paused, flexing as he pointed down the hallway, "If you'll all follow me!"

Takeshi had absolutely no want to be hugged but still found himself in Leto's grip-like embrace. For a man who he didn't remember being that strong he could sure squeeze the crap out of someone. Gasping for air right up until the hug ended he stumbled back a bit, groaning as he rubbed at his shoulder. Looking over his shoulder at Yumi he stuck his tongue out at her childishly, turning away as she gave an innocent smile in turn. Man, why did they have to get stuck with the weirdo as an escort? Korian could have sent Sayomi, she was nice and not a weirdo. Not like they were going to be stuck with this guy for a long time anyways, right? "Next time you're the one getting hugged," Takeshi mumbled, looking at Shu, "I don't like hugs anymore, they hurt."

Yumi felt a bit sorry for forcing that on Takeshi, but it was pretty funny to watch. Rebuking his glare with an innocent smile she began to move with the rest of the group, folding her hands behind her back as they walked. So this was what a flagship looked like huh? It was larger than theirs, though designed much the same way as far as she could tell. She wondered how many people were on here alone, not even including the other ships around them. A thousand maybe? More? Last time they had seen the rebels they had maybe half as many ships, it was amazing to see how quickly this force had grown. Maybe because they were winning battles people were more willing to join, that must be it. Turning to Vegeta she raised an eyebrow, nodding towards their escort. "So what's the deal with these people again? I mean I get they're fighting the King but who are they exactly?"

"Well, rebels to put it simply. If I have to elaborate though... Mostly ex-Saiyan military personnel. Some of the people here were from planets that were liberated, and others have just been fighting from the beginning. People like Korian and Sayomi used to be some of the King's top soldiers until they left from what I remember." His stint with the rebellion may have been brief but Vegeta made it a point to retain the information. Everything that was the rebellion was either stolen from the Saiyans, built from Saiyan scraps or given to them by gracious aliens. That could be said for both the technology and troops. Speaking of the former... Vegeta couldn't help but hold this ship with an air of wonder. It was massive, much larger than anything he was on before. They had seen it briefly back on that other world but hadn't had a chance to properly inspect it. Being inside now hardly did it justice, he only saw so much from here. Perhaps with permission he could have Sayomi show the rest of it to him later.

After a few days T’charrl had managed to recover from his sudden bout of metamorphosis and recovered his energy, the change taking a lot more out of him than he thought it might. It was all for the good of his friends, he really wanted to help them get that wish but he couldn’t help but think he was going in the wrong direction somehow. He was strong now, but he looked more like a beast with his wild mane, large muscles and walking with the aid of his secondary arms. He may had been heavy, but his wings were strong enough to still allow flight. He had his scouter this time, but he didn’t really want to talk to people incase they questioned how he looked. He was scared of everything at this point, but he did wonder if that Saiyan that was poking at him before might have some way to help him. Keeping to the back of the pack, he kept his head low and backed off when Leto decided he’d try to grab them all in a hug.

Shu was pretty happy with himself and everything that had been happening lately, even if his friend in the back was a bit cowardly for good reason. He probably didn’t want to hurt anybody, he thought, but he was just assuming because he was a big cuddle-monster right now as opposed to a fluffy climbing frame like before. Going from a ship back to another ship was not the most ideal situation for him, he was missing his fresh air and the feeling of real dirt between his toes, even if Takeshi wasn’t someone who enjoyed that kind of thing. Smiling away at Leto, he squeaked when the big guy went in for a hug but Takeshi was unfortunately grabbed instead, his eyes staring at the pair before he giggled when Takeshi was left alone again. Looking up at him, he soon let out a squeal at his grumpiness before going in for a hug, “I want the hug I missed now!”

Viral, on the other hand, didn’t really want to be on this ship. He didn’t want to be surrounded by the rebels once again and he had no idea why he was even here. He didn’t need to be here, he wasn’t happy to be surrounded by these people and he still didn’t like being in space and not on the ground. Everything didn’t feel right and he was out of his natural environment completely. His progress over the last few days had been pretty varied, but he was pretty tired and hadn’t slept much. He couldn’t keep the nightmares and flashbacks away without the medicine, but he didn’t want to take it since it altered his mood and made him feel pretty lousy. He should have been able to handle it without the medicine like a normal warrior. Keeping quiet for now, he stepped back when the alien approached with the intentions of a hug, but with Takeshi taking the blow he was free to move on with all the hatred towards this man prevented for now. Frowning slightly, he looked to Vegeta as he explained what the rebels were before Viral grunted, “Tch! Liberated…sure…” he mumbled, “Liberate them…then demand ‘payment’ by allowing them to take control of their planet…”

Takeshi and his organs could really have done without the bear hug, though he supposed it was nice they were arriving under good terms. Considering how bad things had gotten between their group and the rebels before this was a positive change of light. Sending Leto to escort them wasn't the best thing, but at least the guy was pleasant, if nothing else. Breaking free of the vice grip of a hug he rubbed at his chest, inhaling to recover from near being squished in the man's grasp. How did someone so weak have so much raw strength? No more hugs for when he was here, that was the only one he wanted. In spite of that Shu was rather quick to follow up with one of his own, grabbing the older boy from behind and giving him a hug. It wasn't remotely painful nor uncomfortable but he was still being a bit of a sourpuss. Having his arms tied at his sides by the hug Takeshi looked down at his brother, smiling slightly as he stopped in his tracks. "So hug Leto then, not me," he said, rolling his eyes as he was only hugged harder. Breaking into an honest smile the Saiyan eased Shu's arms off of himself, chuckling as he poked his brother's forehead before continuing on with the group. "Hug me when we're not busy, alright?"

Vegeta would be lying if he said he was envious of Takeshi, a hug from Leto was not at all appealing. As their friend was squeezed within an inch of his life the rest moved on, save for Shu who wanted to repeat the gesture for whatever reason. Such a strange one, Shu, he still had a bit of trouble getting used to the kid's copious amounts of energy. At the moment Vegeta simply didn't have the desire or drive to be too energetic, feeling much too like they were on a business trip here. They were in essence making a partnership, or formally making one at the very least. The reason as to why the rebels had so vocally called for their assistance was a bit lost on him, certainly considering the size and power of the rebel forces already. They were here though and ready to hear the leaders out. "Demand payment...? I'm not aware of them ever doing such a thing," Vegeta remarked, glancing over at Viral as they walked. "Don't get the wrong idea, I'm not trying to defend them here, I don't know what their policies are. But from what I've witnessed they free a world and stay only to help rebuild, it doesn't seem like planets are trading one rule for another." Granted a lot of worlds did join or support the rebellion, but that seemed pretty obvious considering what was done for them. "Leto? I don't suppose you can just tell us why we're here, can you?"

"Afraid not, my young friends! The commander has made it very clear that he and Sayomi are the ones who are going to speak with all of you, I'm simply a messenger!" Leto replied, nodding his head. "I can, however, tell you that you will play a large part in the final battle, if you all accept. We've finally gotten to the point where we can win this war, but only with one last bit of aid. Being the outstanding men... And women that you are I know you won't deny us!" That probably didn't make the kids feel obligated whatsoever. Being awfully close to one of his infamous, heartfelt ramblings Leto flexed, a single tear dripping down his cheek as he did so. "We are so close to freeing this universe from the tyranny that is the Saiyan war machine! Every fiber of my being is pulsating from excitement! Soon we will see the dawn of a new day where people can travel without fear of those cruel overlords! Oh I want to weep just at the very thought of it!"

"Please don't..." Takeshi mumbled, rolling his eyes. This was exactly why he didn't want Leto as their escort, he was just so weird. It was one thing to be passionate about what you did and another to just be some nutjob. They hadn't even agreed to do whatever it was yet either so why was he getting all worked up? "Hey Shu... I think I found someone who's more silly than you are," he added, smiling as he pointed at Leto. It was weird to think this guy was a major in the rebellion, he just really didn't come across as a military man. Everyone else they had met had some idea of how to act and then this guy was... Well he was a clown. How many people had actually followed this guy willingly while he was still with the Saiyans, he wondered. Probably not a whole lot, his speeches got tiresome really quickly.

Shu was pretty excitable today and getting to hear about more possible battles and freedom being given was just making him all giddy to the point where hugging his brother was in order. He enjoyed hugging and hadn’t been getting it enough lately, especially with Yumi getting all close to one of the twins and all. Holding onto Takeshi, he clung onto him like butter on a knife before being slowly pushed away, giggling away when he was, “Okay! Not busy! Later!” he giggled, getting all bouncy around Takeshi before finally settling. He was pretty curious over what might be happening and whether he should be worried that they were being taken to the big people again, but he knew what it meant and he knew they might finally have proper freedom and be able to go wherever they wanted without someone hunting them down and trying to hurt them again. He really wanted to get stronger, but if he was going to be ambushed and beaten everytime then he didn’t see how he might end up getting stronger in experience; sure, he’d gain strength, but he was nothing without experience.

Viral was pretty bitter towards the rebels, but he knew it was conditioning by the Saiyans and even then he still couldn’t help but dislike them. They had done a lot to him too, even allowing torture towards him while coming close to killing him. He had a lot of built up hatred towards them and it would take a lot to take him out of that conditioned state. Staring down at Vegeta, he folded his arms, “Rebuild by taking over. Where do you think all these ships came from? Why are there so many soldiers under their lead? Are they fighting because they want to fight? Who knows”, he spoke, shaking his head, “The Elites they capture are on a ‘if you mess up, you’re dead’ policy. You saw how they treated me and they won’t pull any punches. They’re a democracy…but if you have a history at all they will gang up on you and control you under their own laws. Their leader is just another King in disguise…”

Shu wasn’t too sure what Viral and Vegeta were talking about, but he wasn’t going to butt into their conversation. He was definitely curious to whom these people actually were and what they were about, but he didn’t want to be rude. Staring at Leto, he tilted his head before looking to Takeshi, giving him a smile in return, “Nooo! I’m the most silly!” he spoke quickly before realising what he said, “Ooh! I’m not silly! You’re silly”.

Takeshi was all set on hugs for the day now, being crushed by Leto and subsequently attacked by Shu. Honestly, he didn't understand how his brother was always so cheerful and energetic. It probably didn't help his own case that he was tired from training and poor sleep, the only thing he actually felt like doing at the moment was taking a nap. Having to pry Shu off of himself the older boy smiled slightly, poking his brother's forehead to get him to back off a bit. They had more important business to discuss here anyways aside from hugs. This was probably the last meeting with the rebels before everyone was going to go fight the King, a pretty big deal for obvious reasons. Since they were being asked to help the group was going to be filled in on the battle plan, and probably where they were hoped to fill in. Takeshi still wasn't overly fond of the idea of having everyone in danger, it wasn't their fight. Having them going along with it wasn't making it any easier, not if they were willing to put themselves in harm's way. By now Takeshi was certain that the only ones who could fight their father was himself and Shu, they were the strongest after all. Korian too, and maybe Sayomi. Their friends were strong too, but not strong enough to fight a Super Saiyan, he really doubted that.

Viral certainly had a cynical outlook on the rebels and it wasn't completely unfounded. Korian had been less than gracious back on Narbu, nearly killing the Beastman himself then. Still... That was one man, not an entire organization. Sayomi had even gone as far to help, she was the reason they had gotten away at all. Factoring in his almost worship of the woman for her intellect and technological prowess it made Vegeta a touch resentful, but only just so. "They're not stealing these or taking them by force. A lot of them are Saiyan ships, ones they took from the real enemy. And I'm guessing so many people are here because, just maybe, people might be tired of the Saiyan empire pushing everyone around? Just a theory." Attacking the rebellion in of itself was a bit rash, as far as ideals went it was on the right track. Yes, some of the methods used by Korian and others weren't very thrilling, but one couldn't argue the good that had been done so far for the worlds freed. Vegeta wanted to try and argue Viral's points yet there were truth to them, without a doubt. "Maybe Korian is just another king waiting to happen..." he remarked, shrugging his shoulders. "Even so, the peace people are enjoying now must be nice. And should Korian turn out to be no better, well... Then it looks like we're removing two people from power, doesn't it?"

Shu might not want to eavesdrop, but Takeshi was all over it. He was curious to know what the others thought about the rebels, especially considering they were going to be fighting together. As for himself he rather liked most people here, even if his personal view of Korian was strained at best. Vegeta sounded to share sentiments, if a little bit strained. Viral on the other hand was completely opposed to them, not giving them any reprieve whatsoever. Considering all the Beastman had been through it would be more surprising if he did share their views, this was only normal. Hopefully though he could put aside that negativity while they were on the battlefield. If they couldn't fight together than they were in trouble. Eying Shu amused the corner's of Takeshi's lips pulled into a small smile, rolling his eyes. "I'm silly? Says the one bouncing around and hugging people like a goofball." Nah, Shu was definitely silly, but that was an endearing quality of his. Seeing their escort come to a stop he looked forward again, realizing they had come to a large set of doors with the word 'Bridge' posted in a luminescent sign over it. Well that was fast, unfortunately.

"We've arrived my young friends! Here we are, the bridge of our manly vessel!" Leto beamed as he opened up the doors, stepping inside first as the rebels following him fanned out to the sides to make room. Beyond the large Yulian was a rather busy room, filled with all sorts of aliens hurrying about. Monitors littered the walls and a few stations along the floor, crew members hurried to and fro delivering information to one another and checking on the ship's systems. It was a routine check-up, Leto noted, something they did almost daily. They were being very careful to ensure everything worked just how they wanted it to, not wanting to get to the final battle and have something fail. Spotting the commander hunched over a display with a few personnel Leto smiled, saluting before near-bellowing out; "Commander Korian, I've returned with our guests, sir! I was as prompt as I could be in retrieving them, and everyone you've requested has joined us!"

So intelligence suggested an enemy fleet of at least 8 more ships than they had, not to mention possible opposition on the ground. Even with their growing ranks it was looking like the odds were against them still. The Saiyans simply had too much military power, even after having been beaten back near to their home planet. The current rebel force might be able to win, but a 'might' wasn't something Korian was satisfied with. To ensure the least possible casualties on both sides he had to force the Saiyans to surrender, by show of force most likely. And to do that... "Agh, damn it..." Not having even noticed Leto returning when he was called for the Saiyan jumped slightly, knocking his head against a panel and wincing as he rubbed at the spot. Standing upright he looked across the room at the Major, and the group with him. Ah, so they all had come along after all, that was good. Smiling Korian left the station he was at, coming over to everyone and nodding to them in greeting. "I'm glad to see you all made it out here well, and thank you for agreeing to join us here. I'm sure I don't have to explain too much why I asked you to be here today?"

Shu hoped it was going to be a little less than worrying on their way to this meeting, but that Leto guy was definitely making things feel a little less stressful. He was definitely acting all happy and jolly, but he was anxious and it was giving him high energy. He was certainly excited and hoping he could quell that excitement with knowing the news they were going to be delivered. Looking up to his brother, he bounced around him a little bit before looking to Leto, certainly curious over what future they were going to face, “I hope we go to a planet…I like planets!” he squeaked, hoping he was going to finally breathe real air, even if there was a possible fight coming up, “I don’t know why we’re so important, though. Is it because we’re Princes? What even do Princes do…? I don’t know”. It was certainly a strange predicament they were in, especially when he thought Korian was a lot stronger than them. He was definitely happy to get back into the action, but he was still worried that it would involve people getting hurt or killed.

Viral wasn’t worried at all and knew that it was something drastic they were being pulled into, only hoping that this was going to be the last time the rebels contact them like this. He saw no reason for them being here other than being fodder or bait. Looking to Vegeta, he shook his head slightly and glanced towards Leto, “Or they’re brainwashed soldiers pulled into thinking they are doing good. All that’s happening is another empire is going to build up and these planets won’t be given independent control”, he spoke quietly, letting out a sigh, “How do you kill a Super Saiyan…short answer; you don’t”. Only by their own mistake would a Super Saiyan be killed and he knew that, but the others seemed to think it was completely possible. They would had been better bowing to their overlord and accepting their fate as lesser creatures to this powerhouse of a warrior, but he wasn’t going to accept that kind of defeat until he was dead himself. The others weren’t comfortable with dying in such a way and would continue to fight, but he still felt that he belonged in the battlefield and would die on the battlefield.

In the room, Sayomi was patiently waiting while tapping away on her computer all while Korian stressed out over their future, but despite looking distracted or bored she was sending instructions to other ships as they continued to wait around for the others arriving. She was looking deadpan, a bag slung over her shoulder with some data that couldn’t be sent digitally to the group as they made their way over. She had been hard at work, doing things that should have been considered less important but giving it all of her energy to complete as well. Looking up to Korian, she frowned slightly before realising the others had finally arrived, her eyes going straight to them before to T’charrl who was hanging around behind them. He was hard to miss but it looked like he had changed again, something that only fascinated her at that point but she had to wait before giving him some analysing again. She had found some interesting stuff in his DNA and blood and everything in the bag was in regards to that, something she felt the group really needed if her analysis was correct.

With Korian addressing the group and asking for their reasoning for being here and if they understood it, Viral just couldn’t help but feel as if his time was being wasted by pointless questions. He should had just gone straight into telling them what was going on, but instead he was wasting their time addressing them as if they were children, “Get to the point! We know you need us, so get to the point and quit wasting our time”, he snapped, already annoyed that he had to meet this man, “What do you want from us this time that you can’t complete yourself?”

"We're important because we're Princes, I guess. We're supposed to be pretty strong because of who our father is, at least that's the vibe I get from these guys." It was still pretty confusing as to why they were needed still though, considering how strong some of the rebels actually were. Takeshi was reluctant to admit that Korian was probably still stronger than him, that guy always seemed to be ahead of them whenever they met. In a way too he figured Viral was stronger than them as well when he changed, considering he had held his own against the rebel leader for a while. If that was the case than he and Shu were third and fourth strongest here, maybe even lower depending on just how strong Sayomi is. "I don't really get what being a Prince is all about either honestly, I never did figure it out. I mean I got stuff, and we did things for our father, but I don't know if that's what its all about." They did get a bit of respect too, even from Elites. Takeshi had anyways, Shu had been slightly... Indisposed while they were on Kortal. Shrugging his shoulders the older boy smiled slightly, placing his hands in his pockets as he looked over at Shu. "To be honest... I just want to go back to being us when this is all over. I don't care for any of this Prince crap, it's kind of annoying really. And it gets us way too much attention," he added, nodding in the direction of the rebels before them.

Vegeta would like to dispute Viral's cynicism, but he was agreeing with some of it he found. Fact of the matter was he didn't truly know what was going on here, he never did get a good glimpse behind the scenes of everything. In a way he supposed he was just hoping this was the real deal considering they were backing it. If it turned out to be just another dictatorship they could probably topple it, but then what? If the King was out of power and Korian couldn't lead than there would be a huge power gap for quite a while most likely. Being brought into the bridge of the flagship sent Vegeta through a bit of a loop for a moment, seeing all the displays and systems scattered about the room. He had thought their own ship was impressive, but this was downright awe inspiring. Those screens seemed so much more vivid than their own, and he was certain he couldn't move them like that. The crew in here was so much larger than their own as well, it must be such a simple matter running this vessel. He had to admit, he was jealous. Busy with staring at all of the machines he had scarcely noticed Korian coming over, looking up at the rebel leader and nodding politely. It didn't take long for Viral to get snappy, making Vegeta groan inwardly as he smacked his forehead. So much for being polite.

Korian had been skeptical whether or not the Princes and their group would show up, he figured they would have their own agenda. So seeing them here was a genuinely nice surprise, one he wasn't going to squander. Greeting them politely he was made to back off a bit as Viral was as hostile as ever, getting sour yet again. Smiling slightly the Saiyan looked at the Beastman, folding his hands at the small of his back. "Had I known you would be so impatient I'd just have sent my request over communications," he replied, taking a small jab at Viral before looking at the rest of the group. "He does have a fair point though, and we really don't have the time for chatter. The reason I asked you all here is to help us gather more forces. As it stands now we've got a sizable fleet, as I'm sure you noticed, but we're worried it may not be enough. We'll be hitting the main Saiyan forces going into Kortal and could use all of the help we can get. It's for that reason I would like to ask you to revisit worlds that you have previously been to and, if possible, recruit more help. Anyone you can muster would be greatly appreciated."

Ah, so that was the game then. Ask the Princes and their friends to call in favors on planets they had saved. It was kind of a dirty move, Vegeta thought, using their previous ventures like that. As he considered it he had trouble recalling any group of aliens that might even be helpful. The Kaesstrians did not have space travel, and while warriors he wasn't sure they could compete against Saiyans. There was that frozen tundra of a world as well, albeit he'd not even seen the resident aliens there. They might have space travel but their strength was questionable, would they be a factor? They certainly couldn't go back to the world where their ship had been remodeled, those people were much too primitive to be of any assistance. "So you want us to essentially guilt people into helping the war because we've helped them? Don't you think that's a little unfair to be doing? I can't imagine most worlds have recovered enough yet to really mount any kind of offensive."

"If I thought we had another option I wouldn't be asking for this. Unfortunately it's the only chance we have to bolster our forces, and we really don't have the luxury of time." Korian explained, turning away and looking to the center panel in the room. "Bring up the map please? Show our sector and Kortal." From the desk emerged a large projected screen, and quickly it filled up with a starry map, a few designated planets around the area. The rebel fleet was signified by a series of blue markers, a few good thousand kilometers from Kortal. Red markers littered the area around the Saiyan home world, numbering far more than what the rebels had. "We're outnumbered as things stand now. We may be able to get through their regular troops, but as far as Elites are concerned we've very few in number who can confront them. Of those currently present the only ones who can even hope to beat Elites are all of us, Sayomi included. If we're busy dealing with hordes of soldiers however we can't focus on the larger threats." Sighing softly Korian rubbed at his forehead, closing his eyes before glancing at everyone again. "I hate to say this, but we need more forces just so we can eliminate the more dangerous targets ourselves. We can't go anywhere with our current numbers, I'm worried our troops would get overwhelmed by the enemy's numbers."

So they were being asked to find cannon fodder then, that was how it sounded. Takeshi wasn't near as old or experienced as some people here but even he wasn't naive enough to ignore what this meant. They were going to bring other people here with them, to fight and probably die for the rebellion. It was a do or die situation for the Saiyans so they weren't going to hold back, and that meant the rebels couldn't either. The fact Korian was even suggesting endangering people who had only just been freed was actually pretty disgusting. Frowning deeply Takeshi looked up at the rebel leader, shaking his head angrily. "We can't do that to them, they don't have any part in this war! Besides, we only just freed them. What good is their freedom if they come out here and die? Then everything we did means nothing!"

"As I said Takeshi, I know it's not ideal. But we have to consider the larger picture here, the fate of the universe can rest on who wins this battle. We cannot allow the King and his soldiers to continue on like this, they have to be stopped. If these people truly want to be free then they'll be willing to risk what they have to ensure that freedom. After all... Nothing is gained without sacrifice, and people will die during this battle. That's something that we all have to accept however if we're to free everyone from this tyranny. Believe me when I say I'll be doing my best to ensure we take as few casualties as possible, but ultimately we will suffer some blows." Korian wasn't at all happy with his request himself, but it needed to be made. There was no way they could carry out this fight without at least matching the Saiyan numbers. Since acquiring new technology and troops the rebellion had certainly been bolstered, but even in its weakened state the Saiyan forces were superior. Looking a bit weary all of a sudden the commander glanced back at the map again, his mouth forming a hard line. "I am ready to die to protect everyone here, including all of you. That goes for whoever you can bring to us before the battle. I will gladly give my life if it means we win this war, I give you my word."

Viral didn’t like any of this and generally found it all too suspicious and rightly so seeing who was giving the instructions and asking for help. There was no way this was going to be a simple excursion and that much was true, especially with Korian’s quick remark directed towards him. Narrowing his gaze, he looked to Vegeta in annoyance before back to Korian, growling lowly. He was certain they were going to live up to their reputation and sure enough Korian came right out and said they needed to recruit more people, all because they had saved them too. How dare he request such a thing, he had no right to demand innocent people who probably don’t know how to fight to jump into battle and die. So disgusting; just what gave this man the right to demand work from them. Glaring at him, he looked to Vegeta as he unfolded his arms, hearing him share the same sentiments.

Korian had no argument here as far as he was concerned, the man just issuing orders and trying to make them feel sorry for his fleet. They didn’t need to attack Kortal, there was no reason to attack that planet just now and all they were doing was making up excuses to fight the King because he was too impatient to build up his own empire. Takeshi was very much opposed to it as well, getting just as angry as they all were. The people they had seen on the planets were not interplanetary warriors; even those lizards he had been taking previously were used for slavery and not fighting. Unless Korian thought the Narbu could fight exactly like the Elite they captured can then they might as well take the whole population instead of sending them out to all these other planets.

Viral had just about enough of this nonsense, the man clearly not understanding what it was like to be a normal civilian. He talked about sacrifice, but he didn’t know what that meant. Giving him an angry glare, he stepped forward, “No you wouldn’t. You would do anything to stay in control of the operation because you know no one will be able to do it”, he spoke quickly, Sayomi looking a little insulted out the corner of his eye, “You need more soldiers because you know you’ll have to put yourself on the line if you can’t get anymore! Those aliens on those planets can’t fight your battles, they’re not being drafted into this war because they don’t deserve it! They’re not warriors and you have to accept that and move on. If you can’t fight against the King, then you’re not going to! Maybe you can tone down your bloodthirst and not think sacrificing innocent civilians is the only answer to your ‘problem’…”

While Sayomi was a little annoyed at Viral, she understood the frustrations but it wasn’t as if she could do anything about it. It wasn’t her decision to make, she was just in charge of directing their people and making sure everything was correct. She didn’t agree with it in the first place, but she was one of the only ones who opposed to it. Letting out a sigh, she looked between them all before slowly making her way towards Vegeta, hoping to get a hold of him before things turned ugly, “I need to give you a few things I thought you should have regarding my research on…” she paused, looking towards T’charrl before back to Vegeta, “…well, I was given samples and these are definitely important”. Taking the bag off her shoulder, she opened it up a little showing a few vials inside of different colours and a strange disk of some kind, “Kaesstrians have the ability to inject a modified saliva agent identified as a venomous agent, but the antidote formula is on the disk with an immediate antidote available in the orange vial. Can I just…talk to you elsewhere first? Away from this commotion?”

Korian had anticipated backlash, but from Viral, Vegeta and Takeshi? A look at Yumi told him she wasn't overly thrilled either, and Shu was probably too lost to really understand his request. The young warriors took their turns picking apart his request, leaving him having to defend himself. "My intent here doesn't seem to be very clear. Yes I want to bring down the King, but I have no desire to rule myself. I'm a soldier, that's all I'll ever be. This coup isn't to gain power for myself, it's to protect people from continued terror. Don't you see inaction is only going to cause even more trouble? While we've gained so much ground we have to keep pushing, if we slow down now the Saiyans are liable to regain footing. All the effort we have put in for freeing planets, it will mean nothing if we don't ensure they remain free." In the depths of his person Korian firmly believed that the aliens would agree to lend their aid, even if not in the form of soldiers. They had to realize that not doing so was paramount to losing the war, this was the hardest battle coming up after all. Hearing all of this banter from Viral was making it difficult to retain any sense of calm, he didn't appreciate it at all.

"Viral... I want to be on the front lines. I've spent all my life on them and I intend to continue doing so. Do you think I enjoy this?" Korian asked, gesturing around himself. "Sitting at a desk, dictating the actions of men and women who may well not come back? The fact of the matter is that I was chosen by these people to lead them, for whatever reason that may be. I was a commander, yes, but never on a scale like this. If they have their faith in me to lead them then I'll do it, even if it means staying back." Should the opportunity arise however the Saiyan would find himself in the fray in a heartbeat. He wasn't cut out for this kind of work, it was more stressful than any battle. Giving the Beastman a hard stare the rebel leader shook his head, running a hand back through his hair with a sigh. "I'm not expecting those incapable of fighting to do battle, don't be absurd. And blood-thirst..? Don't you realize that's what I'm trying to prevent? I have been all along. Why do you suppose I was so enraged when I found what you had done, hm? It's because I don't want people to die. Battles can be won without taking lives, and I've practiced that throughout this entire conflict. As I said, I'm not thrilled with this myself, but the fact remains we need aid to win."

This back and forth wasn't getting them anywhere, Vegeta wondered if things might deteriorate entirely. While Viral was perhaps attacking Korian a bit much he still didn't agree with the notion of putting civilians in battle. Yes, each of the races they had encountered had warriors, but this was a different kind of fight. This wasn't a territorial dispute, or a fight for a singular power. This was an all out war, and people were going to die. He appreciated Korian's sentiment about straying away from lethal force but at best it was idealistic. The Saiyans wouldn't just be beaten into submission, they were trained not to do that. The fact Korian and Sayomi were able to rebuke those roots was impressive, and unlikely to become the norm. What a mess this all was, this whole war. Spotting Sayomi coming over to approach him Vegeta looked at her curiously, eying the bag on her shoulder. "Samples, hm...? Let's see them then." Glancing into the bag he frowned seeing the vials, not quite sure of what the disc was either. Venom, what did she mean by venom? He had never seen T'charrl use venom before, was that something he was to gain then? "Of course, I certainly wouldn't mind some quiet," Vegeta replied, smiling slightly. Seeing the others still plenty occupied he walked back out of the room and into the hall, waiting for Sayomi to join him.

"Still... Why do you have to pick them? Aren't there other worlds that can help out?" Takeshi interjected, still sounding cross. "We only just freed those people right? How is it fair that we have to involve them in the fighting now?" The Shaharians, the Narbu and the Kaesstrians, they all had their own fair share of troubles. To expect them to abandon their own issues in favor of fighting here was absurd. "I mean... I get we need the help, but there has to be other planets that have troops to offer, yeah?"

Korian shook his head sadly, looking at Takeshi as he was questioned. "None. Most have either already pledged their support and are here with us, or were wiped out by the Saiyans. We have no other potential allies left yet we need more strength if we're to win. All of those who have yet to join us can seriously improve our chances of success, even if they only send a handful of men and women respectively. We don't need an entire world's support, just a few dozen more troops, that's all." Meeting the size of the Saiyan forces wasn't going to happen, they had too many people under their command. If they could get just a few more able warriors though then they should be able to fight through to the King regardless. As it stood there were far too few people who could hold their own in a group fight, they needed more soldiers to support one another. "I don't want to make these people do this, all I'm asking is you put in the request for us. If they say no then so be it, we'll have to carry on as we are. The aid of others could make our chances of succeeding greater though, that's why I'm asking for this."

This was all just... Crap. Korian raised fair points, and so did they. It was far from an ideal situation they were in and it was pretty much down to morality versus reality. Asking only just freed people to join them was basically throwing away the chance of living without oppression, they could very well die and never get to know freedom. On the other hand Takeshi knew what kind of forces his father had, and Korian was right. Winning a battle right now would be very difficult, if not impossible. It would take them a long time to even reach the Elites never mind the King. Once they did find Yamate they would probably be exhausted too, and that was anything but ideal. Gritting his teeth angrily he looked down at the ground, his hands bound tightly into fists. "We need to do it..." he finally said, grumbling as he looked up at Viral. "I don't like it but we have to. If the rebels lose here then my father is just going to send out more soldiers and it'll all be back where it started. Viral, you know we have to stop him now, even if it means asking other people to fight."

Viral just saw this guy as another one of those men who used to visit Capsule Corp, those men from the RRA who were trying to recruit him for their stupid wars and to use him as a weapon. Korian was planning on using untrained aliens as personal weapons when he couldn’t deliver the power himself, turning them into meat shields for his own personal use. This wasn’t their war anymore; they were supposed to be free and even he could recognise this. Korian’s logic was just absurd, the call for war against the Saiyans and their King was too hasty without reason for it to be. They had a lot they had to do themselves and now they had to go around and recruit aliens who were going to be sent to their deaths.

Giving Korian a hard glare, his logic behind wanting and being able to go on the front lines all too obscure for him to process; he didn’t need to sit around and do nothing while others went out fighting, especially considering the fact that he was a Saiyan and obviously grew stronger with each battle. He was a commander himself, the squad he had was larger than the one they found him with by far and he knew exactly what Korian’s problem was. He didn’t trust anyone else with taking command of a fleet themselves and was trying to pull all the work in for himself. Keeping a hard gaze on him, Korian was quick to give him a good mental slap, “They were going to kill me and you think what I did was worse?? You don’t know what the circumstances were!” he snapped at him, “And yet you were quick to try and kill me! Is it because you know I’m perfectly capable of doing so and just might do so again? Whatabout others like me? Would you kill them too despite your little ‘promise’ to yourself??”

Sayomi didn’t need to be surrounded by all this hot air and this was definitely not the environment to be in to talk about what she wanted to inform Vegeta on, knowing he was the one she could trust when it came to technical information. Watching Vegeta study the contents, she soon looked off to the side and back to him before to Korian just to give Vegeta time to leave. With suspicions at a complete minimum and everyone else too busy with the argument she too left the room, looking like she was busy with something important before finally exiting the room and closing the door. Giving a quick look behind her she sighed, frowning slightly, “Now, regarding this and…away from the boys…” she sighed, looking to the door before down at Vegeta, “First things first; you sure you want an alien like a Kaesstrian on your ship? Seeing him now I see it’s already happening, but these aren’t just ‘mutations’. Are you aware of who Frieza was and what his kind could do? This possibly may end up being not all that different”.

Soon enough, Sayomi pulled out her computer again, entering in a few commands and passwords, “…There’s something else I need to tell you too. I don’t know if it’s a false-positive…an…’error’ in my data, but there was an attack a few days ago in Saiyan territory and unfortunately…it looked like the rebelling forces were wiped out. We went to check it out and we picked up some strange samples…” Showing him the screen, there was a data strip of genes and genetic information on the top half with data running all around it relevant to the graph, “This is what I found in blood scans that were not the same as the aliens that perished, and…” she paused, pressing on the screen in a few taps to which another data strip appeared, “…This is your Beastman’s data. I shouldn’t have kept it, I know, but that’s not important; this is”. Pressing a command in the centre of the two strips a number of lines appeared and connected, the genes highlighting where it all mattered, namely the glue that held the genes together, “If this is true, I think we may have a problem…”

Viral just couldn’t handle this, even with Takeshi trying to find logic in this all. He didn’t want any part of this battle or anyone else from these worlds taking part in Korian’s fight for ‘freedom’. Getting all angry and bothered, he glared at Korian before hearing Takeshi’s final decision, turning towards him instead. How dare he make the decision for them, acting as if it was a group effort to come up with that final answer, “And you think this’ll help them win? Sending a bunch of inexperienced aliens into battle just because he told you to go??” he growled, pointing to Korian, “And you’re supporting him on that decision?? We have better things to do than run around as recruitment for a democracy!”

"Viral, it's as I said. We try to fight this war without killing anyone, and it is actually possible. We've caused very few casualties on the enemy forces up until now. What you did was the largest slaying of enemy troops in some time, so then you must understand why we took to it as poorly as we did." Victory was achievable with minimal bloodshed, Korian was making certain that was possible. It would be much easier to have people support them if they didn't come across as ruthless and bloodthirsty. Sighing to himself Korian shook his head again, looking at Viral regretfully. "I'm not proud of how we handled what you did, regardless of what you had done. I went far over the line and never should have even laid a hand on you, much less try to kill you. I could apologize for it again but I'm certain it would only fall on deaf ears at this point. And we only took the lives of those there was absolutely no hope for. Most people join us after being beaten in battle, it's preferable to facing the punishment back on Kortal. Those who fight until the very end we have no choice but to kill, you can't allow people like that to exist if you're seeking peace. Sometimes it is necessary, and that wasn't the case with you."

Vegeta wanted to know what was in those vials, he could tell already it didn't bode well. It must be serious if Sayomi didn't want to speak in front of the others, and seeing as everyone was busy bickering he saw no issue with slipping away. Back into the hallway he walked a little ways from the door to get out of earshot, waiting for the older woman to join him. Having T'charrl become the topic of conversation was unexpected, though he was aware Sayomi had a certain... Affinity for their friend. Frowning he looked back towards the closed door, crossing his arms over his chest. "Frieza? I'm well aware, yes. He's certainly not the same species though, I can safely say that much. What do you mean though... Not mutations? He's absorbed energy on a constant basis and that's what is causing him to change, I'm certain of it." If Sayomi was right though then they may have a potential problem on their hands. "Even if you're right I haven't an idea what to do about it. Shu and Takeshi are close to him, Yumi seems friendly with him as well. I can't just tell them we have to be rid of him, they won't buy it regardless of what I might say."

As though being told T'charrl wasn't enough Sayomi was finally going to explain what the vials were. Glancing at the display on her computer he began to pour over the data carefully, slowly piecing it together. It seemed very similar, incredibly similar to Viral's. That didn't make any sense, he couldn't have possibly been anywhere but on the ship, or Earth. Confusing as it was the real bombshell was saved for last when the data of both Viral and the mystery beings were compared side by side. There were some differences here and there, but for the most part the genes were strikingly similar. Vegeta felt his heart drop when it dawned on him what this meant, his mouth drying up as he glanced at Sayomi in surprise. "They're manufacturing Beastmen..." he mumbled, looking back at the screen in shock. But how? Even if they had gotten some of Viral's DNA engineering a Beastman was incredibly time intensive, it didn't seem possible that they could mass produce them. Unless... "Yumi! What they did with her, they must have used some of Viral's genes to change her. Do you think they're exposing masses of people to this?"

Takeshi felt beyond conflicted but ultimately had to side with Korian here. Much as he loathed the idea of throwing more people into his and Shu's mess they did need more troops, the rebels just didn't have the numbers. He wasn't sure the others would see it his way or not, but his mind had been changed. Their father had to be stopped, and if that meant asking other people to help in the coming battles then they would have to relent and do so. Getting shouted at by Viral he looked over at the Beastman, frowning and shaking his head. "Do I really think it's going to help that much? I don't know, but they do need more help Viral. You want to get back at my father for what was done to you right? Well if we need more people to do that then we'll have to go along with it." He really didn't feel like arguing right now, but with the Beastman shouting at him his temper was flaring a little. Stepping closer to Viral, Takeshi glared at him as he gave his shoulder a shove. "And what do we have better to do Viral, huh? If this isn't over with soon people are just going to keep dying! And what if the rebels lose because we didn't get help, what then? Are we going to let everyone suffer because we didn't want to recruit a few more soldiers? We'll drop you back on Earth if you don't want to go, but we have to do this!"

All of this back and forth shouting was giving Yumi the mother of all headaches. Damn these new ears of hers, they were way too sensitive sometimes. When Takeshi went ahead and basically attacked Viral she stepped forward, putting a hand on each of their chests and pushing them away from one another. "You two, cut it out! Whatever we're doing here you two fighting isn't going to solve anything!" Feeling a bit angry herself she dropped her hands to her sides, closing her eyes for a moment and taking a deep breath to try and stay calm. Looking to Takeshi she folded her arms across her chest, frowning at him. "You know how strongly Viral feels about this, try to understand his position better, alright? Don't try to make him feel bad over this." Turning then to the Beastman she put on a small smile, reaching out and gently brushing the spot where Takeshi had shoved with her hand. "And Viral... I know you don't like the idea, but please. Think of what could happen if the Saiyans aren't beaten soon. If this can help win the war then we should think about it. If you're so worried then how about you take up being a commander again?" Looking up to meet his gaze she smiled kindly, giving him a pat on the shoulder before looking at Korian. "If Viral wants to, how about you put the new troops under his and my charge? We'll keep them safe no matter what, and that way you don't have to worry about even more."

This negotiating had deteriorated very quickly, Korian was certain it wouldn't go anywhere now. Surprised by Yumi's intervention he watched as she tried talking both Takeshi and Viral down, managing to settle the former enough to back off. Watching her and the Beastman he was intrigued by the idea Yumi had, not having thought about it. He certainly had no issue with splitting up who commanded troops, he wasn't going to fuss on the number of people he had under his command. "That isn't a bad idea actually... I would gladly support that if you'd be willing to undertake it, Viral. In fact..." Looking back over at Takeshi and around for Vegeta or Sayomi the commander shrugged, not having noticed their departure. "I'm beginning to think breaking our current forces into smaller contingents might be the best way to go about this. Rather than have to make sweeping, general orders we could each operate as independent platoons almost, communicate through one another. We'd have far greater mobility and we'd be better able to react to situations. Assuming we can find enough in the way of leaders I think that might be a plausible approach as well."

Sayomi had a lot to tell Vegeta to his face with communications being sparse and limited, but this was the kind of stuff she needed to tell in a confined environment incase others eavesdropped. The study she had been doing with T’charrl’s blood and DNA had found a lot that interest her, but also a lot that worried her, “They may not be the same species, but they’re very similar and seeing him today proved me right. This isn’t a mutation he’s gone through here…don’t get me wrong, there’s definitely a mutation going on in his system, but a transformation similar to what Frieza was capable of makes him a highly vulnerable target towards the King. If he so much as gets his hands on your friend he’s going to keep pumping him with energy and turn him into a war machine we cannot stop”. It was hard explaining this to Vegeta, especially when he didn’t appear to be making the connections, “Just…if you’re bringing him into this war, you must keep him out of the King’s hands at all costs or his people are done for. The venom he can produce is a natural occurrence in Kaesstrians and will only get stronger as he does, so keep on top of it because if he so much as drools on an open wound and you don’t have an anti-agent prepared, don’t say I didn’t warn you”.

While everything regarding an unstudied species was important, she still needed to give Vegeta a heads up on what was happening behind the lines. She was looking out for them as they were going in pretty blind and this discovery was something they would never had found themselves. Showing Vegeta the data, she watched him carefully before looking back down to the computer as he made his realisation, “Hmm. I believe they are doing the exact same”, she spoke lowly, glancing back at the door before to Vegeta, “You’ll have to remember: the King had your Beastman for a very long time and making him into an Elite meant he knew he was the superior Beastman…which means he wanted to make more, especially after the success he had with your friend. Either he’s managed to make brand new Beastmen, manufactured more like your friend or…he’s doing both…I believe we have a situation on our hands”.

Viral had no idea what Takeshi was thinking; especially when he knew putting those aliens in danger wouldn’t win any war. It wasn’t as if they could fight or knew how to combat the Saiyans, especially when they had themselves been taken over by them. Just what made him certain these people could fight against warriors they already lost to? This was madness and it made Viral furious, especially when it was not a suitable battle plan. Glaring down at the kid waiting for a suitable answer, he growled lowly before raising a claw, “I want to, but I don’t want others to do it for me! Especially aliens who have never won a battle against them!” he snapped back, definitely more than a little angry about it. He didn’t even care about other creatures that much, yet he was able to find some sort of passion in it to drive his temper. Looking to his shoulder when it was shoved, he glared back at Takeshi with an angry growl, raising his claws as if ready to take a swipe at him.

Fortunately for Takeshi, Yumi decided to finally step in and push them aside, giving her a glare in return. He had every right to rebel against Takeshi’s actions yet Yumi decided it was time to grant Takeshi mercy for his stupidity, “He started it!” Letting out an annoyed sign, he looked elsewhere and folded his arms. He couldn’t see the logic in any of this and was simply getting angry when they all thought it was a good solution to pick up weaker untrained aliens. Frowning, he looked to his shoulder before to Yumi, not finding too much logic in what she was saying either. Viral didn’t know how to stand up for his beliefs when everyone in the room was against him, causing him to feel cornered. Frowning, he looked down at Yumi in defeat, finding her proposal to be all too concerning. To make him a commander would be a big risk, especially considering his past experience with being one. Narrowing his gaze, he glanced to his shoulder before sighing, his eyes soon going to Korian. The guy couldn’t agree to this, surely? Frowning slightly, he narrowed his gaze when Korian actually agreed to that, his concern now going straight towards the idea of it. He knew it was a bribe to keep him from complaining, even if he knew it would work out. He was never going to get a say in any of this and he knew it, “…You’ll never let me get my way, will you? Fine…since I can’t win, anyway…”

Ah... Vegeta had been so focused on Viral he hadn't even considered taking much a look at T'charrl. He certainly trusted what Sayomi had found, he didn't like it one bit though. "Looks like I'm keeping an eye on the both of them for now," he said, smiling exasperatedly. "Thank you for the information. I knew there was a bit of toxicity to his saliva before but I never would have thought it was enough to be lethal. And if the potency is only going to increase with his transformations..." Who knows where the Kaesstrian could end up from here. The risk of putting him in battle now made him wonder if they ought to just keep T'charrl on the ship. Or possibly even send him home. Then again in his current state would he be able to control himself? As it stood were he to go rampant there was more than enough here to stop him, but back home his people would be powerless. Just as a precaution now they were going to have to take samples and develop antidotes, and do so again should T'charrl change once more. "I'm going to assume your facilities on here are better than what we have. Would you mind if we used your lab to run a few tests? I'll try to develop some antidotes before we leave, just to be safe."

Were T'charrl's poison not problem enough the revelation of more Beastmen only made things worse. What in the world was the king thinking, mass producing them? If not done correctly a Beastman could deteriorate at the smallest levels and just fall apart. So this information he was seeing, were these failed experiments? Or were these successes that had to be put down? The data looked near identical to Viral's so he'd think the latter. "Just how many of them has that bastard made..." Vegeta mumbled, shaking his head in disbelief. Whether the King was changing people or making them from scratch the fact of the matter was it was a big issue. "A problem is an understatement... If Yumi is any indication someone with Beastman genetics given to them sees a sizable increase in power, but they're also at risk of going feral more often. An army of people like that... I don't think we're going to have a very easy battle, I'll put it that way." Some mess this was becoming, the King was really trying to do everything within his power to make this as difficult as possible. "I don't imagine you'll let me take this for now, do you? I need whatever information I can get regarding Viral to help him, we desperately need to sort him out. Especially if T'charrl is at risk now as well."

Takeshi didn't want anyone fighting for them either. Hell, he didn't want his friends fighting, let alone some random people. He realized they needed the help though, and Viral should too considering what he knew. It wasn't ideal but then again nothing about the situation they were in was. Gritting his teeth angrily he glared up at the Beastman, stepping closer as he shoved him in the shoulder. "And what else do we do then, huh? Sit back and hope for the best? How is that a good idea?" he snapped, not moving when Viral lifted a paw. He almost wanted to be struck, it'd give him an excuse to hit back. Probably for the best that Yumi opted to step in and intervene, pushing both of them away from one another to break it up. Sticking his tongue out at Viral a bit childishly he moved back over to Shu, folding his arms across his chest as he did so. Hearing Yumi agree with him he smiled smugly, watching as Viral was backed into a corner. He shouldn't feel smug but he did, they had to do this like it or not. "Shu... What do you think about all of this...?" Takeshi asked, glancing over at his sibling. "You haven't said anything the whole time, tell me."

Yumi almost rolled her eyes when Viral played the blame card, expecting that from a small child, not him. Everyone was getting much too hotheaded from all of this, it was too important a decision to go rushing into. It wasn't what the Beastman wanted to hear but she went ahead and spoke her mind, agreeing with both Takeshi and Korian. If the commander was saying they needed more help then they must really need it, because as far as she was aware he had never done this before. Seeing Viral so disheartened she figured she would try to help, suggesting he be put in a position of power. Korian took it one step further, suggesting they break up into platoons to make managing so many soldiers a bit easier. She wasn't so sure about that, maybe a handful of them here had leadership experience, Viral being among them. Looking at her friend Yumi smiled apologetically, "If you don't want to do it then you don't have to. It was just a suggestion Viral. Besides, Korian has gone on this long commanding, and he has Sayomi and Leto to help. We don't have to take on that burden if we don't want to."

"Besides, we're already our own little platoon," Takeshi interjected, smirking as he spoke. "The five of us, Vegeta, Kai, Choi and Kabocha. Plus I guess if that kid Haku joins us then that makes 10 altogether. I think we're pretty set." They didn't really need a leader for that, they all had their own little pairings and could do just fine that way. The only one who didn't quite fit in was Haku, they would have to figure out where he worked. Takeshi had after all learned a bit about leading a squad, he was sort of a squad leader for a year. It was never used, but he did have knowledge on how to organize a team. Turning his focus onto Viral he raised an eyebrow curiously, cocking his head to the side a bit. "How's that sound Viral? You can even lead if you want, I don't really care. I just want to get this recruiting business out of the way so we can go kick our father's butt."

Their alien friend was definitely a strange case and a bit of an enigma to Sayomi, especially when she had never studied an alien like this. There were plenty of mutants in the galaxy, soldier and civilian, but trying to figure out a hidden species was very difficult. She hoped Vegeta would understand the severity of this situation and thankfully he seemed to, sort of. She just wanted to keep these kids safe and any possible threat was one to keep an eye out for, even if that threat was one of their own, “You don’t need to, but so long as someone does”, she spoke, looking to the door, “You could either choose to have another alien who will be able to fight on the same level as you…or you could have a danger on your hands. The good news is…I do believe he can return to his original form. He was certainly concerned when he mentioned it, but these forms he’s going through can be returned to…eventually”. Being asked about the lab was a strange request, especially when they were probably only a little more efficient since they restocked often; of course, it wasn’t as if Sayomi was going to deny him either, “You may use the labs. If the personnel in there give you trouble, tell them to go find me if they want to know what ‘trouble’ looks like”.

Concerning the Beastmen, Sayomi was not going to take this matter lightly. She knew if this was a reality they could have a whole new race to try and contend with and a whole new struggle as to whether they were worth putting down before they got out of control. It was difficult when it came to artificial life or a being that may be in pain because of their alterations. She preferred not to think of it, feeling as if it was close to causing a massacre. Frowning slightly, she let out a sigh and shook her head, “I’m not sure, especially when this could simply be a false-positive. I am not even sure if we have a battle plan if it does happen”. She needed to figure this out herself, possibly find more samples here and there even if it was under unfortunate circumstances. Pulling the computer away for a moment, she looked down at it before giving him a look over, “I would need to transfer it to your personal computer, if you want it”.

Shu didn’t know what to do when his friends fought like that, finding it awfully awkward. He was always stuck in the middle of these things so he just let them happen, hoping that they would make up and hopefully not continue with this silliness eventually but if it devolved into fighting physically he would keep well away from that. Frowning a little, he looked between Viral and Takeshi, finding it odd to be fighting over such things. When Yumi intervened he couldn’t help but feel a lot better, letting out a sigh before looking toTakeshi when he was asked for an opinion, “Ooh? Umm…I didn’t say anything because I don’t know how to”, he spoke quietly, pressing his fingers together, “Nice to have new friends! Sad that they might not make it…but we want to win! I don’t know. Do I have to understand what’s going on…?”

Viral certainly knew when people were trying to distract with offers of power and this was definitely a pretty big offer, knowing that putting him in charge would keep him quiet. It was odd that Korian would trust him with such a big task, especially when he worked for the enemy. He wasn’t that strong yet nor had he recovered mentally so putting him in charge of so many people could potentially be disastrous. Looking to Yumi, he frowned a little, “I can do it, but you know the dangers”, he spoke, looking away, “I know exactly what it is, but it’ll give me a-“ Annoyingly, Takeshi decided to butt in, trying to act all proud with what they had. What an irritating creature he was, trying to act all smug and as the man of the moment. Turning towards him again, he narrowed his gaze as Takeshi just turned completely naïve, “You think just because you recruit some aliens that you’ll automatically be able to fight the King? Those people would have to be trained to fight! That itself takes time! You have too much confidence in these people if you think they’ll immediately be battle-ready…”

Vegeta hadn't thought that T'charrl would be in so much trouble as this. Granted he knew the Kaesstrian was struggling with power and his transformations, but to imagine him becoming such a hazard was a bit of a stretch. Even with Sayomi's input it sounded like speculation, albeit it was speculation that he was going to heed very closely. "Having another strong ally on our side... I wouldn't hate that. So long as we monitor him closely I don't imagine we'll have too much trouble on our hands. Granted... He's had two instances now where he has nearly attacked someone, and as he gets progressively stronger the risk only grows with him." So therein was the dilemma, was the risk of having an accident worth the outcome of T'charrl becoming powerful? Hard to say, as once this war was over did they truly need so many powerful friends? "I assumed he could change back, it only made sense. In most cases no change is permanent as far as transformations go. I've assumed he'd revert for a while now, I just don't think he knows how to. And while he does have Ki his energy is too different from ours to give him any advice. Trying to be optimistic and think we'll figure it out soon, but as it stands it's not looking very good."

Perhaps it was a bit of a bias, but Vegeta was more concerned with the potential outbreak of Beastmen than T'charrl. Even if T'charrl were to go berserk they could likely stop him and restrain him, that was a worst case scenario. To think that Beastmen were being mass produced however, that presented a whole slew of problems. The only two Beastmen that he knew of were both in moderate condition, each having a tendency for excessive violence if pushed. While the argument could be made that in part it was due to Viral's genetics there was no excuse for Yumi, she had never been that aggressive. Something about what was done had to be unstable then, and imagining a few dozen people like that was certainly daunting. "False-positive or not it's best we don't take it lightly. If you'd allow me I have some documents of Viral's genetic coding on our ship, if I can use your research I might be able to confirm this, and maybe even figure out a means to stop it." Undoing a genetic mutation, easier said than done. Gene therapy was a possibility, but that took expertise well beyond what Vegeta possessed. Reaching into his pocket he pulled out a small electronic device, smiling as he held it out for Sayomi. "Never leave home without at least one computer on me. As soon as I make any progress I'll forward my work to you, hopefully we can solve this before it does become an issue."

Takeshi wasn't quite sure why he even asked Shu, as he expected the little guy was lost. Smiling slightly the older boy placed a hand on his face, sighing before patting Shu on the back. "Don't worry about it too much if you don't get it. We're just trying to get some friends to help us, that's all. Strength in numbers and all that, you know?" Not that it helped too terribly much if those numbers were lacking in the strength department. He was still against the idea for the most part but saw the reason for it too, and like it or not they needed to go along with it. Overhearing the idea of splitting the rebellion up Takeshi just had to give some input, thinking that idea was a bit excessive. Why split up when they had their own little force already? They all worked well with one person or another here, no reason to separate them. "I think we can fight the king already if we had to," the Saiyan replied, smiling at Viral. "We need help getting through his defenses though. There's just too many people, you should know that considering what you did for the Saiyans." It disgusted him to acknowledge this, but what they were essentially looking for was cannon fodder. He didn't like it, but again, it was necessary.

"We have a little time to train them, probably. Even if we don't we'll pair them up with people who do. They can be sort of support, maybe a medic or something. They don't have to go hand to hand with a Saiyan after all, we're not putting them in any super dangerous situations I don't think." Especially not if it was people that they knew. Granted on planets like Narbu they hadn't met anyone, but Shaharia and Kaesstria were two totally different stories. Some familiar faces could well end up in their ranks and he would do everything within his power to keep them safe, as he was sure the others would too. "Why shouldn't I have confidence in them anyways? Most of them have been fighting, like the Kaesstrians, or have been under foreign control forever. They probably know how to fight Viral, let's be realistic. And you really think we need to be the ones to give them a reason to fight? You're willing to fight just because of what they did to you, yeah? Well imagine how a whole world of people must feel, I can't think they'll be reluctant to get their hands dirty for some payback."
