Hayley felt her entire body heat up and the insides of her chest flying around uncontrollably. Her skin shuddered from head to toe and her entire body was tense and stiff. Struggling to push her words out of her mouth, she stammered, "Y-Yeah... t-that would b-be great...!" For the longest time, she felt like she knew all she needed to know about living a life, but she began to regret her arrogant way of thinking, for Isaac had dug out one thing she didn't know at all. "So... I-If you love me like you said and I love you as well, or want to, at least, what should I do?"

Hearing Hayley's question, Isaac closes his eyes to think while ignoring Vincent's more mature suggestions. In all honesty, he didn't know what he should do, let alone what Hayley should. He doesn't remember ever feeling this way before, but that isn't saying much, since his memory only extends to a few weeks before meeting Hayley. In the end, however, he finally decides what to do. Tilting his head, he leans in closer, hesitantly bringing his lips closer to Hayley's, fully prepared for her to back away, unsure of whether this was the right course of action or not.

Between her hesitation and her fascination, Hayley was stuck with no idea on what she was supposed to do. With Isaac slowly moving closer, much closer than she was normally used to, she began to sweat and nervously thought of what he would want her to do. Looking at his eyes, then his succulent lips, she decided to give her survival instinct the back seat. Pulling him close to her, she let their lips lock into a kiss, her first in her life of solitude.

Isaac can't help but open his eyes, having not entirely expected Hayley to pull him closer, although he wasn't complaining. Closing his eyes once again, he wraps his arms around her, gladly returning the kiss. Moments later, once he felt that he had to breathe or else he'd pass out, he slowly breaks the kiss, breathing heavily, but grinning from ear to ear. Without a word, he pulls Hayley closer once again, this time into a hug rather than a kiss.

All Hayley could do was stay still while Isaac did whatever he felt like doing. She found it embarrassing, yet comforting at the same time. It was an odd, indescribable feeling, but she found herself liking it, almost as if it was empowering her. Leaning her head onto Isaac's chest, she sighed and closed her eyes. "Man, never in a million years would I even think of wanting to fall in love with another guy, let alone a powerful guy like you... It's ironic that I know how to survive, but not how to live like a human."

"I know what you mean," Isaac replies quietly, his eyes closed, as well, as he breathes in Hayley's scent. "I never thought that I'd end up falling in love with a hot-headed person like you. But, I'm not complaining. Not at all." Just then, he opens his eyes and sees the remains of their sandwiches on the counter. Chuckling, he says, "We should probably finish our food before bugs get to it. Then we can get back to this. Sound good?"

"Yeah..." Hayley replied somewhat absentmindedly before returning to her seat and wordlessly devouring the rest of her food. That felt so fucking good. Extremely embarrassing, but good nonetheless, she thought, the sensation of her first kiss now etched in her mind permanently. With their temporary distraction now gone, she looked back at Isaac and asked, "Umm... Any particular thoughts you had when you kiss me?" she asked bluntly, still not used to the concept of tact or love.

Hearing Hayley's question, Isaac turns to her, his mouth still full of his sandwich. Holding up a finger, he quickly swallows his food before washing it down with a sip of his drink. He then says, "Honestly, I couldn't really think anything while we kissed. But, looking back on it, I can't help but feel that it was...right, somehow. As if it was meant to happen." Then, with a chuckle, he adds, "I know for sure that I definitely wouldn't mind doing it again."

"I should get used to that then..." Hayley replied, unsure if she should voice her opinion. "Isaac... I don't mean to sound rude, but kissing you... It felt weird, physically speaking. It's like placing a dry sea cucumber on my lips." Feeling her face heat up, she pushed her plate aside and let her face fall flat on the table. "Well, that just came out rude," she muttered before looking at him like a confused kitten. "Emotionally speaking... I kinda like it. Yeah, it felt kinda gross, but maybe it's because I'm not used to all these romance and shit. I'll get over it soon."

Hearing Hayley describe how it physically felt to kiss him, Isaac almost chokes on his sandwich while Vincent laughs like a hyena. Reaching for his water, he quickly takes a large sip, washing away the food lodged in his throat, and catches his breath. He then says, "I will admit...it does feel kinda weird from a physical standpoint." He then smiles and says, "But, we'll get used to it. Plus, we'll even get better at it. It'll take time, but I think it'll be worth it."

Upon hearing that she could improve her kissing skill, Hayley sat up straight with an expression that said all about her knowledge in the matter of romance, or lack thereof. "You can actually get better at kissing people? I thought you just press your lips onto that of another person and that would be it. I didn't know that actually takes skill!" she exclaimed, sounding like a cat who had just discovered something new. "Geez, I've seen how some people kiss, but I have no idea that they've been training for that. I kinda wonder what one has to do to be a master kisser, if that's the case."

Hearing Hayley's surprise, Isaac can't help but laugh hard. Once he calms down, he says, "I'm actually not too sure, but I figure that it's just one of those things that you can improve through practice." Still chuckling, he finishes his sandwich and puts his plate away before sitting back down. His hand reaches over and curls around Hayley's as he says, "You know, I've been wanting to say this for awhile now: You can be so adorable when you wanna be."

Hayley sat frozen for a while, her mind reeling from Isaac's innocent comment, after which she immediately exploded into a fit of stutters and stammers. "I-I, uh... I-It's not... I mean..." Her face now as red as a tomato, she murmured, "I'm not adorable... but thanks anyway." The last person she could remember to have said that to her was her late mother, so she didn't expect anyone to denote such description about her, not the least was Isaac himself. She found herself unable to think straight and began to fumble around helplessly.

Seeing Hayley's reaction, Isaac covers his mouth in an attempt to keep himself from laughing. My God, she's cuter than I thought! he tells Vincent, who was laughing at Hayley's flustered self. Once he was able to compose himself, he reaches over and lays his hand on hers, saying, "I'm sorry if that made you uncomfortable, but I really am telling the truth. You really are adorable." Smiling at her, he wraps his arm around her shoulders and pulls his new girlfriend into a one-armed hug.

"S-Stop calling me that!" Hayley replied with a voice that seemed to teeter between anger, hidden happiness and embarrassment. Her skin bristled as Isaac wrapped one arm around her shoulder. No matter how much she tried to convince herself, the fact remained that she was simply not used to this show of affection, but she truly wanted to learn to accept it. "I-I'm not adorable, dammit..." she murmured again before looking back at Isaac, her eyes narrow with flustered anger and her cheeks a shade of rosy red. "D-Don't you have something else t-to do?"

Hearing Hayley's question, Isaac chuckles and rises to his feet. "Alright, I'll leave you alone," he says, resting a hand on her shoulder before the starts walking into his room. However, he stops at the doorway and turns back to her, smiling softly. "Thank you," he says. "Thank you for...well, for everything." As he turns back to his room, he adds, "I love you." That said, he quietly shuts his door and lays down in his bed, his mind replaying the events of the last twenty minutes.

Flustered and unsure of what to do, Hayley stuffed her sandwich into her mouth and skittishly retreated into her bedroom. I'm not cute. At least, I think I'm not... Is he actually serious? she thought with great uncertainty and threw herself onto her bed, hoping to sleep off her embarrassment and pacing heartbeat. It wasn't until two hours later that she finally fell asleep. The nameless 'other her', who had observed the incident, decided to not interfere as she deemed such new experience a vital research into her behavior. Putting that aside, the seemingly mechanical entity began to 'program' her, as she put it, within the recess of her subconscious.

The next morning, Isaac slowly opens his eyes as the light from the sun hits his face. Groggily, he sits up and rubs his eyes before yawning. Wonder when I fell asleep, he thinks, looking down only to find that he didn't even change out of his day clothes. As he stands, Vincent says, You got me. More importantly, though, is what we're having fro breakfast. Shrugging, Isaac leaves his room and walks into the kitchen to look for ideas on what to make.

By the time Isaac step out of his room, Hayley was already on and about with breakfast, preparing some flapjacks with pre-made batter and maple syrup. Glancing back at the sound of open door, she looked at him with a gaze of friendliness and utter confusion at the same time. "Mornin'. Did you sleep well...?" she asked, sounding rather spacey which was highly unusual for her. It seemed that her subconscious 'programming' left a few first-time residue, so much that she couldn't help but feel jittery.

Seeing the confusion and spacey look in Hayley's eyes, Isaac can't help but feel worried. "Yeah, I slept alright," he says as he takes a couple of glasses out of the cupboard and fills them with orange juice. She doesn't look too good, Vincent says. It must be a side-effect of the training, Isaac reasons as he takes his seat, turned to watch Hayley cook. After a few minutes of silence, he asks, "Hayley, are you alright? You seem a little...off, today. Is it because of what that 'other you' is doing?"
