Bruce sat back down on the couch, "I know the reports on my sons pack so I'm going to get the reports from the other alphas and then you can go to the place you can go rest no way am I having all these people in my house and no way am I having other alphas in here don't need another fight to break out." Slowly all the alphas have there reports, then left with there pack following behind once the alphas were gone Bruce let out a breath from having to keep brother wolf from taking control.

Max put her hand on his shoulder and gave a small smile. The other packs seemed to be having similar problems although the severity varied between packs. Their pack was definitely one of the worst ones off. Which wasn`t a good thing , it meant the humans around them were the most aware and aggressive towards them. This wasn`t going to be easy but no one ever said it was.

Bruce let out a breath as the last alpha left, brother wolf finally calmed down once the other alphas were gone. His muscles finally relaxed he didn't even know he had tensed up while the other alphas were inside. He smiled a little, he managed to keep control through the whole thing.

"You did a good job at keep brother wolf under control." Max commented as their pack started to go to their rooms as well. She stood up and stretched from sitting still for so long. Her back let out a crack as the muscles and bones untensed from where they were at before.

Bruce nodded, "he really wanted out badly though I kept him on the leash barely though." He got to his feet, now knowing he wouldn't attack anything now that brother wolf had calmed down, "and now you see why I call our pack small."

Max nodded amazed. "I`m surprised we all managed to even fit in here. There`s so many more then I realized." She said still trying to understand how so many of the could have stayed under the radar all these years. "I`m surprised all of you managed to not become known to humans all these years." Max said looking over at him.

Bruce laughed, "we only shift in the forest and I've seen you a couple of times before you met me I wa. Running to catch a deer and I just saw you I got a quick glance before I was running at the deer again." He pulle max close, "and I'm happy that brother wolf picked you as my mate."

Max smiled looking up at him. "Did you know I was your mate back then?" She asked curiously. She wished she could say the same but she didn`t remember seeing him back then. Although she was a bit of a house hermit back then as well who only walked in the forest for a couple minutes to clear her head or if she was bored.

Bruce shook his head, "no I only got a glance brother wolf couldn't say that you were going to be my mate by a glance at you." He sighed, before he kissed her. His arm around her waist while the other went into her hair. He pulled back to catch his breath.

Max kissed him back her arms wrapping around his neck before pulling away as well to catch her breath before smiling. "Well either way it doesn`t matter we are together now and that`s all that counts."

Bruce nodded to that, "and if I have a say in this war it'll stay that way." He looked at her, "we better get some sleep so ten were ready for tommorow." With that he held her hand, leading them to there room. He liked the sound of that there room not his or hers but there's.

"I`ll always be yours." Max said as they walked to their room. She was being honest though. It wasn`t like she had a choice in the matter anyway. He was her mate and that was that. If she was taken away then she`d spend the rest of the eternity she had trying to get back.

Bruce got to the room, "and I yours." He sat on the bed taking off his jacket and shirt before taking off his boots. The gold wolf head was there on his chest, like all other things he never took off it had a meaning to him. Justin had handed it to him just before he had died laying on the ground in front of him. He shook his head, he didn't need to ponder on the pack members death Justin wouldn't like that.

Max walked into the room and took off her boots, socks, and jacket before stretching. She walked over to one of the drawers and took out one of his shirts before changing into it to use as a night gown. Walking over to the bed she laid down with a yawn. "I`m using your shirt and there`s nothing you can do to stop me." Max commented as she got under the covers.

Max smiled at the comment and closed her eyes trying to calm down so she could go to sleep. Today'd been stressful. All that was important right now was that they could rest easy for afew hours before they had to deal with it all again.

Bruce's arm went around Max's waist, and pulled her closer to him. He had his fair share of scars from this war, getting hit with silver would leave scars any other metal not so much. Most of the scars were on his torso, for taking some shots for the pack the only time he took the shots was when he saw that it was a killing blow to another pack member.

Max tried to sleep but as much as she tired she couldn't. She had scars just like everyone else from fighting. Although out of all of them Bruce was the worst and it always worried her like crazy. He was always protecting everyone else and not bothering to protect him.

By morning, Bruce was pulling on a new shirt along with his boots. He grabbed his jacket and put it on, he stretched his back protesting and popping with the movement. He rolled his shoulders, he sighed he didn't want to face today and that was being honest with himself. Though he knew he had to, he already knew the humans weren't trying to protect themselves anymore. They wanted the vamps and lycans gone, that's why this war had gone on for so long because they wanted all of the people that weren't normal gone. He went to the bathroom, to see that sturdy face looking back at him. He looked at himself for a few minutes, he sighed letting the water in his hands his face allowing it to wake him up more.

Max was laying in bed lazily. It'd taken awhile for her to finally fall alseep last night. Her thoughts had been running rapid for most of the night making her worry and wonder about everything. So much for getting a good night sleep.
