This is between myself and Mikael Sisko. We are doing a RP with the crew aboard the Enterprise with a bit of an emphasis on Captain Picard and Doctor Crusher with other roles being shared NPCs. This where we'll chat, plot and whatnot. For now we have the following as a general basis for starting things:
Starting in the middle of the fourth season. An unknown contaminant on a Federation colony near the neurtral zone... A disease hits like a plague, but there's questionable proof of the presence of some kind of biological weapon...Can Crusher cure it in time to save the colonists, while finding out how it happened to come about and spread so quickly... Can she discover the cause before it leads to all out war with the Cardassian Union? It would be a dire situation in terms of what damage it does to those infected. If we wanted angry outbursts, painful sores, intestinal issues, hallucinations etc. Are we to assume to disease itself might have been caused by say...the Romulans? I can see them implicating the Cardassians in hopes to start a war between the Federation and Cardassians. So its a great way to start things off.
So that's our starting point. I don't mind starting us off with Beverly getting some transmission from say an old friend in the Federation colony. Or if you'd rather start and have Picard alread assembling a small team to investigate, I'm for that as well. I'd assume among those picked would be Data since it would be safe to assume a contained virus wouldn't affect him.
