Bruce nodded, "and I want this war to end we don't need to raise willow in all of this madness at the least." He sighed, putting his arm around her waist. Turning so that she was leaning, against his stomach instead of his side.

Max turned her head and looked up at him. "I feel like no matter what happens will raise her the best we can." She said and laced her fingers through his. "We`ll always be in all of this together. So whatever is planned up ahead we need to face it head on."

Bruce nodded to that, "I know max I know that we'll face whatever the world has to throw at us. The others would say the same," he sighed to that. Closing his eyes, "we'll get this figured out like always I don't know how long this war will keep going, but it's going to end soon."

Max nodded and looked in font of her closing her eyes and taking a deep breath to relax. It would be best to relax today for the next couple days it was going to be total chaos everywhere they looked. Meeting her grandmother didn`t exactly put a smile on her face either. The women could try to kill her for Pete`s sake.

Bruce leaned down, to whisper in her ear. "Have I ever told you how much you mean to me max," the stubble on his jaw rubbing against her cheek as he spoke. "From the time I had saved you from Brian I knew you were special not exactly mixing in with the rest of the world."

Max opened her eyes and smiled slyly. "I think it`s come up once or twice." She said and turned her head slightly before looking him in the eyes then kissing him lightly on the lips. "I love you more than you realize I hope you know that." She said and gave a soft smile instead of a sly one. He was the first person she could trust with anyone and was the only person even after all this time.

Bruce smiled to that, "and I to you max never forget that." He sighed, "you mean a lot to me max I guess the first time I saw that brother wolfs choice was right was when you were dragging me out of the police station then running toward the pack even though I was half couscous at the time."

Max thought about that and laughed. "That wasn`t the best day, I almost got shot and then almost lost control before I could get you to the pack." She said as she thought back to it. "Only about a week after that did I stand up to you. You made me promise not to tell the pack because you shouldn`t have backed down to me."

Bruce sighed to that, "yah and if anyone else saw that they would have used you against me to make me back down from being alpha." A few minutes had passed before Jacob walked past them, going to the porch to shake off the water in his hair from the shower.

Max watched Jacob come out on to the porch after they sat in silence for awhile. "You know there`s something called a towel."She joked. Although it did make her curious as to why he decided to randomly come out here after a shower.

Jacob looked at her, he shrugged. "Old habit I guess since most of the old pack had used all of the towels by the time I got in there." He sighed, "I just needed a bit of fresh air since this is all new to me all over again with the new pack and all."

Max shrugged. "You`ll get used to it. The only bad thing we do to each other is pranks so if you can survive that then nothing else is that bad." She explained. "I can`t say it will be easy to get used to all of it though, it`s hard to get used to a bunch of strangers. Trust me a lot of us have been in your shoes at some point."

Max nodded. "I ca only relate experiences to how it must feel right now. I do know you can talk to any of us. We may not be your old pack but we can help you as a different one." She said feeling a bit socially awkward.
Willow ran out on to the deck with beads all over her neck. "Jacob!" She yelled as she ran over to him and stopped next to him taking one of the multi colored necklaces she'd made and grasped it in two of her hands motioning for him to bend down.

Willow put the beads around his neck grinning widely. "New big brother," she said before running off giggling. Max watched Willow smiling softly at her daughter. Willow was growing up to be a very sweet girl. She was always trying to make everyone feel accepted equally.

Max looked at Bruce behind her and smiled before looking back at Jacob. "It's a bit of both to tell you the truth. She just got a lot of the good traits from both of us." She said and took a deep breath. "If I came off a bit strange when we met by the way it was only because of Willow. A past pack member blew our cover a day ago and she's never known what war is and suddenly we're sucked back into it and now she'as a bit confused about all of it."

Max nodded. "They're probably fine, do you want to go back and see them?" She asked. She wouldn't blame him if he did. She herself would have probably gone where ever family was did she not have Bruce, Willow, and the rest of the pack as her family.
