If a clock could count down to the moment you meet your soulmate, would you want to know?

Since the beginning of time, every human being is born with a timer on their wrist that counts down to the exact moment that they meet their soulmate. To this day, humanity has yet to figure out how the timers work, and how they even exist in the body. Some people believe that it was some sort of way for earlier civilizations to know how long it would take to find the person that they would spend the rest of their natural lives with. In the modern day though, it seems much different. Simple actions could change what time shows up on the timer, such as walking a different way to work, deciding to befriend the new kid at school, or even changing your mind on what snack to eat before dinner. Your soulmate could be your best friend, your worst enemy, or even a stranger that you passed by while going to work.
