Bio: She's spunky, a crappy fighter but eager to learn. She lost her mother when she was 5 and her father killed himself shortly before being led into the bunker.

Appearance: Sandy blonde hair, blue eyes, 5'9.
Bio: An avid hunter, Dustin took great pride in his ability to not only kill an animal, but enjoy the meticulous aspect in doing so; the tracking, waiting, and hunt.

That was, before the entire world went to shit. The "New" Plague they called it, suddenly the world was thrown back into the dark ages; familes disbanded, friend fought friend, and the worst, cruelest aspect of humanity came to light: Its need to survive.

The bunker was a beacon, a bouy admist the sea of horror that was the outside world. Dustin had been lucky enough to be accepted into the fold and has since taken an interest in not only honing his hunting skills, but, also first aid. The many outdated texts inside became a trove of knowledge to his dry mind and fairly soon, he became a friendly face many saw in time of illness and need.

Could we get a bit more info on the background of the setting?

How long ago did we leave the vault, what time period it is, which things drastically changed. That sort of thing?
It will help me write a more divined character, of which i hope we can all benefit.

It's been about a month since everyone left. As far as our characters know it's just them left in the world. It's a modern day setting.

Smart, brave, tactical, doesn't put-up-with-shit, pays attention to detail, has large war experience, has large gun experience, easily tired/can't run very fast/easily injured (due to old age)

History
Born in 1952 Germany, he lived in a very strict German household with a father fighting in the military and mother taking care of him, his two brothers and his sister. They were a little under-average in money-tersms, but they had enough to have a nice childhood with good education. When he turned 18 (1970), he enlisted in German military, like his father. For 5 years, he fought in the Vietnam War, recieving multiple gunshot wounds that eventually healed, except for one on his shoulder, causing sensetivity in that area for the rest of his life. When the war ended, he left the military, and got married to Margrit Nothnagel, and had four children, two boys and two girls. The boys were Veit and Siegfred, the girls were Birgit and Romana. His kids grew up and his wife died when he was 61.

After her death and his children going off to pursue their own lif, he spent two years sitting alone, hobbled up in his home. when he was around 63, he decided to go and get out more, so using the money he had left over (which was quit e alot, due to him spending very little money and living in an average low-costing house one-story house with a very old and cheap car), he began traveling, spending a few months in different countries until he eventually ended up in 'merica. During his time here, the outbreak happened, and he tried to book a flight back to his home in Germany, but all the flights were cancelled due to the outbreak, so he stayed and heard of the bunkers which could provide protection from the disease, and so he left to it.

He stayed at the bunker for the time that was needed until they were allowed to leave, and now was here, where the RP starts.

Bio: Lee doesn't talk about his past much, he sees no need for anyone to have the information. Most of what is known about Lee is that he was an orphan since the age of 15 when his parents died if a mysterious disease.
Lee cares little for others and follows his own moral code. He often speaks his mind regardless of his thoughts lack tact or not. Although rarely agitated, he is straightforward, is annoyed by many things, and is considered to be quite rude by many.

In a former life Liam might have been a carpenter, he might have had a family he cared deeply for. In this supposed former life he might have been a good, solid and dependable man. In this life however Liam is fighting for his life. Everything in this life seems to be out to kill him.

The black and white morals he used to go by have blurred into shades of grey, the solid rock he used to be to others has turned into a weapon in his hands. Determination to survive is all he depends on these days.

We're all released from the vaults at the same time. They were built by the government, but we were all in different ones in various places around the city.
