Odd hair color huh? To the surprise of many, Hideo’s white hair is not the result of dyes but simply genetics. All in all, he doesn’t look very Japanese despite his heritage being just that. Vibrant green eye and rather tall at six feet two make him look very much like a foreigner. Eye? Right, Hideo actually only has his right eye, his white hair covers where the left eye should be. It’s not like he has just an empty eye socket there though, that would be a bit too frightening for most people. He has a glass eye underneath, but seeing as it makes no difference, he prefers to let his hair hang over it.

Unexcitable and laid back, Hideo is the epitome of what it means to be easy-going. He takes, seemingly, everything in stride and little appears to faze him. While intelligent, he avoids getting caught up in mental dilemmas, preferring to use a healthy blend of intellect and instinct versus over-analyzing and meticulous planning. Has it backfired on him? Certainly, but going into the minute of details is contrary to his easy going nature and most often results in frustration and annoyance that destroys his ability to think properly either way.

His lax personality is easily approachable, a fairly good trait for someone who mans the counter of his own business. While his expression reveals little enthusiasm for his work, it shows through actions and conversations. An avid fan of video games, it was part of the reason he decided to open up shop in the first place.

Hideo is considered lucky, despite losing one of his eyes. After all, the disease generally took both and no one’s really quite sure why only one was affected. Unlike normal games, in GQO you can only carry so much with you. Your standard Inventory has 10 slots, but can be expanded upon by either getting a bigger bag or things to expand said bag. The Items you're equipping do not take up Inventory space. Some Items may stack, but there aren't too many stackable items in this game.

Kenko maintains a cool but amiable demeanor. He carries himself with a relaxed manner, and never seems to be taken by any one emotion. He keeps a cool head, and a confident stride. However, all of this changes when Kenko becomes serious. When confronted by a particular challenge or confrontation he feels is difficult or important, Kenko’s attention narrows to the task at hand. His aura of friendliness will cease, replaced by a will to push forward and win, no matter the cost. It takes a great deal of effort to push Kenko towards any extreme of emotion, but when it happens, he is nearly consumed by it, and won’t shake himself from it for some time.

Kenko was born and raised in Neo Tokyo, Japerica. He was born to a loving mother and father, and was an only child. Even as a boy, Kenko was very athletic, and started practicing Kendo at a very young age. He became quite skilled at it, and practiced often. However, he still found time for all of his school work, and aspired to be an engineer. When he was 14, Kenko was injured in a Kendo tournament, and had to take a break for a few months. In that time, he found VRMMORPGs. Interested in the concept, Kenko tried it out, and since then enjoys it almost as much as Kendo. At 18 years old, Kenko is preparing for college, but still finds spare time for Kendo and VRMMOs.

Ryu has spikey black hair, or at least, it is spikey when he has taken the time to gel it, otherwise it is just down to his neck. He has brown eyes, but hides them behind bright blue contacts, and is usually wearing colourful swimming shorts and a t-shirt, matching his shorts in colour. He stands at 5'11", and has a fairly good build, setting up a tredmill with his psp helped with this.

Happy go lucky has been a way to describe Ryu, he can see bad things and the negative infront of him, but would rather see the bringht side. This does tend to come off as a lack of intellegence at times, and does cause many people to generally open up with him and trust him. Something he rather enjoy, as he does love collecting gossip and stories.

Born and raised in the entertainment district, Ryu's family have lived above their store, Le Champion for years. He has often wondered why his father named a collectors store such a strange name, and has never been given the same answer twice by his parents about it. Growing up in the entertainment district, and having such a shop always in his life has provided Ryu with most of the joys he ever needed, trading cards, random figurines and the likes. It was never a dull moment, and that was just how he liked it. His father's constant excitement whenever they got a shipment, and the fact that some of the rareist items always found there way onto their walls, or behind glass. This had in turn sparked Ryu's interest in collections at a young age. He has cards, knives, video games, and other things which he would rather not mention he collects.

Yeshua ben Abraham stands at five feet two inches tall, and weighs one hundred and twenty two pounds. Due to his parents being of Israeli descent, Yeshua has the classic olive skin associated with the Middle East. His black hair and brown eyes also stem from his heritage. Said hair is always unkempt and rarely brushed. Yeshua’s brown eyes are always sparkling with the joy and carefree behavior he has become associated with. Interestingly enough, Yeshua is missing the first half of his left foot’s pinky toe; he lost that toe trying to crawl through some barbed wire as a child. Because of this, Yeshua always wears socks, only ever changing them when he’s sure he’s alone. Yeshua’s parents have kept Yeshua on a strict Jewish diet for as long as he can remember which has brought about the lack of fat on the boy’s body. He also, however, has a distinct lack of muscle.

Yeshua has been called many things in his life. Some have called him lazy, irresponsible, and irritating. Others say that he’s compassionate, joyful, and full of life. All of these names hold truth. Yeshua is indeed lazy; he rarely does his homework on time, and has to be constantly reminded by his parents to do his chores. He’s also irresponsible. He can rarely keep a hold of most items, especially things like pens, pencils, and paper. The only things Yeshua can really keep a track of are items he knows have value to him or others. The reason he is known as irritating is rather simple, really. He never pays attention to anything. Ever. He does poorly in school because he’s constantly day dreaming or sleeping. During conversations, Yeshua’s friends usually have to repeat every third sentence because they just pass over Yeshua’s head completely unnoticed. When he’s told to take notes on something or another, Yeshua usually begins doodling a picture so random that even he has no idea why he was thinking about it at the time.

However, the boy isn’t all bad. In his school, Yeshua is known as one of few people you can walk up to and pour out all your problems to. The best part is, he actually listens. Yeshua’s compassion knows few bounds, as is evident by his quickness to forgive and his swiftness to help somewhere in need. Of course, the seemingly unending pool of sympathy that is Yeshua is easily gullible. Even the worst actors can convince him a sob story is true. This usually means Yeshua spends most of his time carrying other people’s things and opening doors in out of the way places. A side effect of this need to help strangers is that Yeshua is always late. All of that aside, most people that know Yeshua appreciate his sympathy for their genuine issues. Even the people who chastise Yeshua for coming to class fifteen minutes after the bell, or home an hour after curfew, know that ninety nine percent of the time Yeshua was late because he was doing something that he thought mattered.

Yeshua was born to a third generation Jewish family in Neo Tokyo, Japerica. He had two older brothers and three younger sisters, and two loving parents. As a child, Yeshua went to private Jewish school with the rest of his sisters and one of his older brothers. He grew up learning the ways of an Orthodox Jew, and had a relatively normal childhood. The only real problem their family had was money. The problem wasn’t that they were poor; no, they had money to spare. The problem was that their father devoted almost all of his time to working to provide the life he felt his family deserved. His obsession with making money stemmed from his childhood, where his family was extremely poor, and forced to live day to day just trying to survive. Abraham’s (Yeshua’s father) workaholic behavior allowed his children whatever luxuries they desired. This extra money was what fueled Yeshua’s desire to play virtual reality video games. Slowly but surely, Yeshua’s father fell out of the faith; his mother soon followed a few years later. One by one the other children followed their example, until the only one who could bring Yeshua to synagogue every Saturday was his older brother, who made it his personal mission to drag Yeshua and his youngest sister to worship every Saturday.

Besides the split in the family on religious matters, Yeshua never had to deal with any sort of tragedy or issues. His biggest problems were homework and school. His life was easy; his life still is easy. But a little voice in Yeshua’s head always reminded him that not every lived the same easy life he did. That voice always reminded the Jewish teen that life, for many people, sucked. So, at the age of twelve, Yeshua made it his personal mission to help whoever he could however he could. There wasn’t too much Yeshua could do at his private, sheltered school. But that changed when, at fourteen, his father put him into a public learning environment. Yeshua tried to adapt, but he found himself the victim of bullying for his small size and strange religious practices. Yeshua wasn’t alone, though. He had attracted a number of close companions with his unending joy and compassion. Eventually the bullying stopped, as the bullies noticed that there was little fun in toying with someone who didn’t seem to care what happened to him. Life just kind of straightened itself out for Yeshua, and all was good when Grand Quest Online first popped onto the shelves…
