Baylie sits back in her chair. "When I return to Atlanta I will make sure to speak to him. If you think that really happy." She sighs feeling a bit defeated herself. It was best to leave at midnight, but she'd have to make an acception to that.
"I wont be here in the morning. I've come to decide that, if i am going to help i have to get back home as soon as i can. But please promise you won't drown yourself in defeat."

" Why would I drown myself in defeat when I sell my land and give it away for the greater good? I can make a difference. With you I know that now. " He took her hand and kissed it gently. "There is no problem. If you leave right now I would not stop you, However I do ask you take something as a token of my appreciation." He smiled again, moving to a large lock box in the corner of the room. He opened it and a plume of dust came out, leaving the man coughing. " Whew that has been opened in a while." Coughing again he pulled out a golden cross with an x through the - of it. " It belonged to my dad. He was cast out as a martyr long before his death and he gave it to me. Take it so I may have the strength to fight the church."

"I couldn't-" but before Baylie could refuse any further the artifact is already in her hands. "I will do my best to care for it." She nods and thanks him once more. Her fingers wrapped around the cross is an uncomfortable manner. Like suddenly, even of it was so small it weighed a lot.
"I will be on my way then... thank you Cyrus And good bye." She didnt wait for a response and slipped out the front door, leaving the cross on the stoop. She turned to her wrist band again and just as she had came she vanished in a beam of light into another time and place.
