MC is happily married to YC. They are both women. MC and YC have two very young children together. MC has never talked much about her past, and YC was curious but always respected that she didn't like talking about it. The two have known each other for eight years and have been married for five. MC has an ex-husband. She had mentioned to YC that she was married before, but didn't want to discuss it any farther. MC has evaded her abusive and obsessive ex-husband for nine years, but he’s found her and is not going to leave her alone. 2. MC is a young male college student. He’s always struggled in school, and he barely made it into college. Now that he’s there, he’s just trying to stay there. He wants something better for himself than the way his parents live. YC is MC’s professor. He or she took an interest in MC immediately. After noticing that MC is struggling to keep up in class, YC offers to tutor him privately and is willing to help him with the work for all his classes. YC does not have innocent motives, but MC doesn't mind at all. 3. YC is MC’s older brother or sister. MC is sixteen and recently came out as gay. MC and YC’s parents are extremely homophobic and don’t want a gay son in the house. They decide to send him to live with YC who has not been in contact with his or her family since he or she moved out a few years previously. MC and YC used to be really close, and MC is mad at YC for not keeping in touch.
