The Doctor was laying there and feeling rather weak. He wondered what Jackie was up to. He just hoped he wouldn't throw up more. He chuckled a bit "Spending the day in the bathroom, not how I wanted to spend it, But least I have you." he smiled weakly and was looking at her. He just nodded in response to her comment. He wondered if he would be ok.
"Yes the TARDIS will be helping, she always knows just what to do." he said grinning. He looked at Rose. "I need a drink of water." He looked at her "Could you get me one please."
Jack was thinking "Aright be over soon as I can." he was in Cardiff but had his vortex manipulator at least.

"And you'll always have me Doctor. Yeah, I'll get it for you. I'll be right back." Rose said getting up after carefully getting the Doctor off of her lap and went into the kitchen to grab him a bottle water. "Mum what are you doing?" She asks Jackie.
"Well, I'm making some tea. Maybe he'll like it chilled." Jackie answered in a thoughtful manner seeing Rose grab some water.
"Hmm. It can't hurt to try, and thanks for making the tea he likes." She said as she walked back to the bathroom handing the Doctor some water.
"I look forward to meeting you." Caitlyn said as she hung up and took down the cure in her phone as notes. "Thank you for all your help. I couldn't have done it without you. But I'm sure you knew that." She said with a slight tease as she stood up chuckling softly as she left the TARDIS locking her once she had left getting on her bike again a smile on her lips. "I know better so I wont say it." She said laughing. For it seemed that once one said, 'everything is going well' something would go wrong in that next few minuets to prove that saying wrong.

The Doctor smiled a bit, he wished that was true, it was for now. But he would outlive her and he knew there was always the risk of losing her before then. He shook his head brushing aside all the bad thoughts. He didn't know why he had to drift to such things. It was a curse living as long as he did though. "Yeah and thank you Rose." He didn't mind when she got up, it was less comfortable but he would cope.
He takes the bottle of water and drinks some slowly. He looked at Rose.
Jack rushed around his base to find a few things, he then got his vortex manipulator from his bedroom and strapped it around his wrist.

"You're welcome and any time Doctor." Rose said once more sitting near him in case he wanted to use her as a pillow again. Not that she'd complain. It had been nice to be near the Doctor, the man she loved. Caitlyn placed her phone somewhere safe, in an inside pocket of her jacket, and rode off again, this time not in such a big rush to get to her cousins house curious over the Captain. She had heard good things from Rose, and was curious about his flirtatious nature. Since her bad experience with dating, she hadn't dared go near it again, and wasn't too used to being flirted with. She was certain she'd be like a fish out of water, looking all confused and whatnot and she giggles. "Well, I'll just have to figure it out I suppose."

The Doctor did end up laying his head on her again as he was comfortable. He smiled a bit "Sorry if its uncomfortable staying still on the floor like that, I just am more comfortable that way, He knew sitting in the bathroom all day wasn't going to be fun."Though I could try get back to the couch with a bucket, Might be more comfortable. Not sure how much longer I can spend in the bathroom before its too uncomfortable."
He was looking at Rose.
Jack used his vortex manipulator to teleport to Rose's place. He then knocked. He knew the Doctor would hate that he had that device.

"I find it of no trouble. If you find that's what you would like to do, I can find a bucket somewhere." Rose said and looked at the sound of the door. "Now who could that be?" She asked curious. "COME IN!" She called from inside the bathroom offering the Doctor a hand to help him stand up. Caitlyn arrived in twenty-three minutes parking her bike and stretching lazily as she watched the man knocking at the door. So this must be Jack Harkness. She'd admit at least in her head, that he was a handsome man. She walked over as he opened the door walking in before him an amused smile on her lips.
"Hello, and thank you very much for holding the door open." She said with a teasing note as she sat in her ottoman lounging as if she owned the furniture. If she had it her way, she would pay her Aunt for it then and there. "I'm Caitlyn, it's nice to finally meet you." She said truthfully. Hopefully Jack would have what the Doctor needed to get better. Or at least knew of a way to get it.

The Doctor nodded " I think the couch will be better no so warm laying there either," he laughed. He was trying his best to stay in a cheerful mood. He knew being happy made things less miserable. He wondered who it was at the door. He assumed maybe Caitlyn was back or maybe Mickey was here. He let Rose help him to the couch and he lay back down, he hate feeling sick. He looked very pale and was a mess.
He looked around to see Jack walk in, he knew Jack was likely to flirt. But he assumed he was here to visit and maybe help. Jack walked in and looked at Caitlyn "Pleased to meet you too." His smile widened when he saw the Doctor and Rose, he forgot about being worried for the moment and he hugged Rose and then the Doctor.
"You look like crap Doc." He chuckled and lets him go, He was deep down a bit annoyed for them leaving him behind at the game station, but it wasn't right to yell at a sick friend.

Rose placed a blanket on the Doctor surprised when Jack hugged her a smile on her lips. "Jack! It's nice to see you again!" She said happy to see him, wondering how he had gotten there. She didn't remember leaving him at the game station, having been a bit out of it once the soul of the TARDIS got out of her body and into the Doctor's. "Yeah, I'm a bit worried."
"That's why I called you." Caitlyn said as she got up and brought out her phone going towards the note she had made. She then showed Jack the disease that the Doctor had contacted and what the cure was. "Do you think you could help out with getting this for him to take? He's gotten a whole lot worse than when I found him a day ago fainted on the streets." She asked of him, having not thought until that moment that it was dangerous to get close to a flirt, but hadn't cared.
"How'd..." Rose started and then a look of understanding crossed her face. "The TARDIS helped you."
"Yeah she did. She's a beauty by the way." Caitlyn said to the Doctor keeping the key and psychic paper safe until he would need them again.

The Doctor was laying there and smiled weakly. "Yes its nice seeing you." he deep down was a bit unsure. Jack was a fixed point in time now, he had actually ran away from him, It was against what was meant to be. But he didn't want to hurt Jack's feelings. Jack was still his friend.He knew Jack was pleased to see Rose as well. "Ohhh I'll be fine once I have the right medicine."
He coughed more and sipped his water from the bottle, he looked rather pale and looked ill.
Jack was thinking, he was looking at what the medicine was on her screen "Ok should have some that at Torchwood, Though might have been one the medicines I took from our medicine stash."
He pulled out some vials from his pockets and looked at them.

Caitlyn sighs in relief glad that Jack was able to help. "Thank you so much. It means a lot to me that you would help them out." She said honestly, not sure what she would have done had she been in his shoes. Rose might not remember, but Caitlyn could connect the dots, figuring that Jack had been left behind. In his shoes, she might hold a grudge against the people that did it for maybe a month or so, out of hurt. She looked through the vile of medicines as well, trying to find the right cure. Rose smiles glad that Jack was here to help. He had been a great help when he had traveled with them before and became curious about what happened at the Game Station and how he came to be there.

The Doctor was looking at them. He smiled slightly though he could sense that Jack was annoyed and upset with him and trying to hide it. He had known Jack would be, he was glad that despite that Jack was here to help. He did know that it would be hard for Jack to be hiding his feelings right now. He had a feeling Jack would have thought he hated him.
Jack finds the right vial and grinned "Think got it," he was sure that one matched the description. He walked over to his friend with it. The Doctor takes the medicine and then looked at Jack.
"I know you are trying to not yell at me because I'm sick, But you don't need to push back your feelings." The Doctor didn't want to loose Jack as a friend really.

"I'd rather wait until you're feeling better for people to yell at you Doctor. It might be a good idea, for you already have a big headache and everything. I appreciate your helping him." Caitlyn said to Jack honestly smiling at him. "If you need a favor, I'd be glad to fulfill it to the best of my abilities." She said having debated with herself for a few moments after thanking him for his help because even though she might guess what favor he'd ask for, she wanted to show her gratitude in some way. Rose nods.
"I agree with the waiting until you're better option. It might not be what you want, but you're going to get it." She said sternly.

The Doctor was looking at him and then at Caitlyn "He won't yell when I'm ill, But he does look like he needs to talk about it." He didn't like people having to hold things back from him, especially if they were friends. He looked at Cailtlyn "I would have been more specific there, because his favours can be well ........... , If you get to know him well enough then you would know." he chuckled a bit.
Jack merely just nodded and looked at the Doctor and put a hand on his arm "I am mad at you for leaving me behind, But your my friend and you are ill, I'm not going to yell at you." He smiled a bit and then hugged him.
He poked him in the chest "But don't think I'm going to let it slide... ," He grinned again.

"Flirtatious?" Caitlyn guessed and shrugs. "As I tell everyone, I am not interested in dating right now. Besides I figure Jack could use some competition. And I'm not all that frightened of what he might ask for. Who knows, he just might surprise everyone with something small." Caitlyn said willing to go for at least something. "Besides I'm certain without his help you would have continued to get worse. And I don't want Rose losing you again. That had been hard enough to get at least somewhat over you the first time. So owing him a favor is the least I can do to say thank you." Rose giggles a bit at what Jack said and looked at him.
"Left you behind. I don't understand." Rose admits looking to the two of them for a bit of clarification.
"It's when you took a bit of the TARDIS' soul when you opened her up with Mickey's help. After taking it from you, the Doctor had to get you home so I'm guessing had accidentally left Jack behind not realizing what he had done." Caitlyn said as she sat down theorizing, from what Rose had said of her adventures.

The Doctor was looking at them "I left him behind on purpose.... I ran away from him." He looked out the window. He knew it was wrong to do that, but every bit of his instinct had told him to "Jack is now a fixed point in time.... He can't die now either. You brought him back to life forever Rose..., I suppose I didn't know how to react, I was a bit colder in my ninth."
JAck was quiet for awhile "I thought at first maybe you didn't know I was alive... Ohh how I hoped that, But I knew that wasn't it, and I began to think you hated me."
He was quiet, he really wanted to shout but he knew he shouldn't "I was lucky I had my vortex manipulator, But I ended up in 1869, had to live through the entire 20th century, Hes not the only one who can time travel."
"Oh excuse me That is not time travel, Its like I've got a sports car and you've got a space hopper" The Doctor was looking at Jack "And that reminds me, I can't have you wandering around with a time travelling , teleport," He didn't really like Vortex manipulators.
"Aright so I bounced, but I live in Cardiff, how else was I supposed to get here in a rush."

Rose and Caitlyn looked at each other and each sighed mouthing the same thing, 'Men and their toys' with exaggerated smiles on their faces. Rose brought the Doctor closer to her feeling his forehead glad that the medicine seemed to be working quickly as his fever and cough seemed to be gone thankfully. "Feeling any better?" She asks not sure how she had done it, possibly it had still been under the TARDIS influence and had done it.
"And I'm sure he'll take that into consideration when he realizes you saved his life. He had gone up against a..." Caitlyn shook her head as she wrote it down and showed it to Jack. "I will never be able to pronounce this without help." She said.

"Well aside from the fact that device is unpredictable and useless, It is also risky and unsafe," The Time Lord clearly didn't approve of it, The Doctor was looking at Jack. "I know you wanted to get here quickly though."
Jack was looking at him "Yeah,, we'll don't disable it, Don't have my SUV with me , What if I promise not to use it unless in dire need like today, I haven't been using it that much."
He was looking at the girls again. "Ohh , He did? How the hell is he alive?" He seemed surprised. He knew it was a miracle the Doctor had survived that. He looked at his friend again. "Don't be such a fool next time, I could have done it. I don't die." He hit him on the arm.
The Doctor looked at them "Yeah I am starting to, I won't fully back on my feet for a few days, It would be risky' He was still weak really "Though as much as want to, I don't even think I will stick to what I said just now." There was a small smile on his face.

Rose smiles a happy expression on her face. "It's good to know that you're back by yourself at least currently." She said happy to know he was getting back to himself and quickly.
"Yeah he said so himself that it had been surprising that he had survived that." Caitlyn said going back to her seat watching the two a sigh of relief escaping her allowing it to soak into her being glad that this had gone smoothly with only one bump with extra terrestrial beings coming and screwing something up. She rubbed her head to be sure that whatever that thing had been was still gone having hated that feeling of being controlled.

The Doctor was looking at Rose "More or less, I mean at least I don't think I am going to vomit any more, I might still be weak for awhile, but at least tea seems appealing again." He was looking towards the kitchen. He then looked at Jack. "I Am so sorry Jack ... for everything, I was letting my views get in the way , which ended up hurting you." He still saw Jack was wrong, but he was trying to not let that get in the way. Even if he was conflicted he knew he couldn't hurt Jack any more. He knew Rose liked Jack as a friend. He didn't want to drive JAck away.
"Its fine.... But can you fix me," JAck was looking at the time lord "I was hoping....,"
The Doctor looked at JAck, he wished he could help, he truly did, but there was no way of fixing it that he knew of. "Do you want to die.?" he asked. He wondered if Jack didn't want to live forever, He knew that was a lonely and long life.
The ex time agent went quiet, he wasn't sure, he thought he did at one point, but he didn't think he knew really any more. He was so quiet that he forgot to even answer The Doctors question.
"Jack?" The Time lord questioned, He was trying to get Jack to pull out of his silence.
"Ohhh I don't know... I thought I did, But I don't know now," Jack was afraid of being alone oneday. He had friends now, but he wasn't sure he could cope with the loneliness "I just thought Id try my luck and see if you could make me mortal again."
"I'm sorry I can't" Was all the Doctor said, He looked at Jack "Being alone won't be easy I am sorry."
