I just thought of this idea and thought their may be interest, forgive me because this will be my first time using an original idea.))
The year is 2030, the Earth has begun space travel along the milky way Galaxy, while we were still young and only recently developed our space fairing age other species were far more advanced and some, weren't friendly. They didn't talk, they didn't negotiate, they just saw earth and began "harvest". To them Earth is nothing more the buffet table of species ready to be eaten and consumed however as one would expect Earth fought back but it was quickly known that they had the advantage in space war with their dreadnaughts able to destroy entire fleets in one blast from their mighty Zeus cannons. Earth then begun to try and seek other methods of fighting and they came up with genetically altered humans. It was decided that humans would donate their eggs, that was a given even before the war but now it was being put through experimental testing. The parents wouldn't know of this child and this child would have no recollection of who their donated parents were. All they knew was to control their abilities and use them for war, that's all they were, WMD's that could take down a dreadnaught from the inside and come out nearly unscathed. However due to the success rate being lower then 3% percent these children were also only used as a last resort for loosing them meant loosing the war itself.
We are those children, we have abilities that most humans can only dream of and as a result we are bred for war and that is all we are meant to know but even a trained dog can bite the hand of their master when provoked will we just follow orders or will we run. What future can we hope for even if we win the war? only time and a lot of blood will tell....
