Dawn, heading to Castle Sasune
As Palili and Shujon were on the trail to Sasune, Palili started to think about what she has heard about the place. The people that traveled to the village said that as they walked by Kazus, everyone was turned into a ghost. Though, that was what Palili had heard, and it may not have been true.

Shujon was comfortably leading the way. Palili gave him the map of the Floating Continent, so he knew where to go when they started. Soon, Shujon called for rest.

"It seems that we're halfway there to Kazus. We'll be passing through a desert soon though, so we should get our stamina back up. Be sure to check your stock of potions and see if you have a good amount," Was the announcement made by Shujon.

"It'll be a short wait."

Mayhhy was followimg both Palili and Shujon. "He makes a good point." She said, twirling her blade or her own amusement. " Ah Kazus, so many stories about that place, but the desert is where my kind once dwelled." Mayhhy then began studying her surroundings. "Well where are we going to rest, we just can't simply walk into a cave. You remember what happened last time, Shujon"

See, that was the part Shujon had not thought about. They were currently in a field, and the farther they walked, the warmer it got. Such was the effect of the deserts.

Time for a little lesson that makes this different from Final Fantasy 3, yaaaaay.

See, every spirit can control a certain ecosystem. For the desert, it if Efreet, the fire spirit. For the forests and other grassy places, it is Sylph, the wind spirit. For the ocean, it is Undine, the water spirit. Finally, for the mountain areas, it would be Gnome, the earth spirit. These spirit names are all from an entirely different game, so if you do not know them, that is perfectly fine.

So, they were in an area that Sylph had control of, even if it was little. As such, there was only grass and some easy to defeat monsters around. However, if they looked to the right, there was a little farm. Shujon and Palili did not know of thisa farm, but they trusted this place.

Anyone who was closer than them would see that there were a good amount of Chocobos there.

"How about that farm to the right," Palili suggested.

"We will most likely be accepted to stay there for a while, and its really close." She said.

Mayhhy nodded. "Maybe they'll show some hospitality and offer food.." I had been two days since their last meal, and their food was growing scarce. " I'm not into eating Chocobos, they are too cute eat." She then started walking towards the farm. "Stay on your toes, you never know when bandits will be around." she said, holding her blade across her shoulder as she walked.

Mayhhy was right. Palili had her dagger at the ready, as that was the weapon she was most skilled at using, and kept her guard up. Shujon had done the same. They were all walking towards the farm, and soon they got there.

What Palili first noticed were the Chocobos, as they were both a good source of transportation and a cute animal. Then, she noticed a girl standing outside what looked to be the house where the farmers lived in. The girl was waving happily.

They got up to the house's door and the girl introduced herself.

"Hello, visitors! My name is Maddeline!" The girl said. Maddeline (not refia <.<) had opened the door and showed them the inside.

"My parents love traveling visitors! Oh, you are traveling, right? We'd assume you are, most people who aren't come from Kazus, but we recognize those faces. Strangely, none have been coming around..."

This puzzled Mayhhy, she then bent down to the little girl. "Do you know why they haven't been coming around?" she asked softly, sheathing her sword. She then awaited an answer from Maddeline. "Forgive me, I'm Mayhhy." She smiled, trying not to startle the girl

"I don't know why they haven't been coming recently, the only news we get is from Kazus." Maddeline said.

"Where are you guys heading? If you're here for some rest, we have guest bedrooms upstairs. My parents are out in the field, so I'll just keep you company!"

Maddeline started to walk upstairs, hoping the group was behind her, and turned to the left to where the guest bedrooms were.

"Well, Maddeline, we were actually heading to Castle Sasune, so we have to go through Kazus." Shujon informed Maddeline. He thought this would be decent hospitality for a while.

"Oh, that seems like a good trip. I heard Castle Sasune was famous for its Red Mages!"

"Well, here are the bedrooms. Both of them have two beds. You can choose which one you'd want to stay in, unless you're not staying. Or, if you want, I have some soup made already. I get hungry while my parents are working."

Mayhhy smirked a bit. "I'm sort of a Red Mage myself." she said in a baggy tone. "I'm more of the warrior though, but it's safe to keep a few things up your sleeve." Mayhhy then slipped some bread into her pouch while no one was watching. "What do you say guys, we stay here tonight?" Mayhhy asked looking at both Palili and Shojun.

"Really? That's amazing!"

When Palili and Shujon heard Mayhhy's request, they thought it over for a bit. Palili was the first to speak, saying "Yes, that would be a wise idea. We haven't have food for two days, and we could stock up." Shujon nodded after he heard this.

"Ah, well I guess we haven't introduced ourselves. My name is Palili, my friend here is Shujon, and as you already know Mayhhy is a part of our group. How about you ask your parents if we could stay the night? You said they would accept, but let's just be sure." Palili said. She walked into one of the guest rooms, and Shujon walked into the other guest room.

Palili sat on the bed in her room, and began wondering about the curse that she heard about. If it was true, they would have to find out what caused it and either solve the problem theirselves or get some Castle Sasune soldiers to do the job.
