Kiton didn’t have a very clear future in his eyes, but then again it was all assumption at this time when he didn’t know how everybody felt about him. He didn’t want to seem like he was pathetic or anything, he was a strong enough person to be considered a warrior and not some kid who was too stupid to know what was right and wrong. It was a very nervous time for him when there was only two people who saw him as a possible innocence but even then the other one was wary about his claim. It wasn’t going to be easy for him, he wasn’t going to have any time under their custody to think about his future unless they left him alone for a long time which would be a mistake for them. He might get so fed up and bust out of there if he was willing to steal this shuttle to spare himself from possible extinction.

It was a scary time for him and a time when he was completely vulnerable and he didn’t like it. He was worried over his fate and this guy was just trying to make him feel better or try to put him at peace before his future death. He didn’t know why this guy was taking interest in him so much but it wasn’t making him feel completely better, just managing to distract him from his worries. He felt completely screwed every other way, especially now that he had lost everything he needed to survive. Aito was trying to make thing better but hearing it wasn’t helping him feel better. “They can’t be replaced if you can’t get a hold of them ever again…” he mumbled, looking for a spot to rest, “I’m not sure you’re able to help me with anything if they start tearing into me, I mean…what authority do you have here? You’ve only been alive for a little while…”

He didn’t mean to doubt Aito so much, but it was hard to trust his word on these things when he was only recently brought back to life. It made him nervous that he was going to get burned by this guy despite all his reassurances. “The guy with the prosthetics. You won’t get through to him. You sound like some sort of parent…” he spoke lowly, feeling rather concerned with who might be listening to him. “They’ve not been hostile towards me because they don’t speak to me. The only one that spoke to me was on watch. I have to go and see their leader, anyway…for my crimes…” Having Aito abandon him for now made him feel a little lame, like he was just being talked to as a way to analyse his mental state. He didn’t understand it, but what he did understand was he didn’t feel good and would probably not be in a very good situation too when he got back to the ship.

Viral couldn’t help but doubt Aito even though he was his creator first and foremost. He was his Master before Vegeta and the only one who knew him inside and out, yet he doubted his ability to help him greatly. He didn’t know what he was supposed to feel regarding this man, his memories of him were gone with flashbacks only causing disruption to his mental state, making him feel terribly fragile and weak. He was sure he was going to collapse and die by the time those memories were forced back into his mind again, finding it hard to see how his mind could keep it together now. Holding his head as June rubbed his back he slowly looked towards her, staring at her with confused eyes. “You’re…sure about that? He may want to make a better one of me…after all, weren’t there others before me?”

He really wasn’t feeling too good, but of course he was mentally weary and his lack of sleep and nutrients were really starting to catch up on him with this new changes. Viral didn’t know if he would last through the treatments if he had such a phobia over eating and sleeping with this genetic problem. Looking to Yumi as she spoke he gasped when she leaned against him, lowering his paws slowly as he stared at her while trying not to move. “I just…don’t know if I can trust him. Even if he’s my creator. I am supposed to trust him more than anyone…but I don’t even trust myself with him. I don’t want to be left alone with someone like him until I start getting better. Maybe…maybe once I get rid of these horns I’ll know for sure…that he’s not going to get rid of me for something better”.

"Authority? I'm an adult, though nowadays it seems I'm hardly even that," Aito mused, smiling despite himself. He would have been in his mid forties if it weren't for that minor setback of dying, now he was just barely older than his son. What a weird thing to think, that if he didn't know Vegeta or Yumi they could just as well be friends of his now. "I'm plenty used to putting people in their place when they get out of line, trust me. This wouldn't be the first group of hotheads I've been with and I'm sure it won't be the last." So which one was it exactly that was giving Kiton grief? According to the Frost Demon it was the one with the prosthetic limb, or lack thereof by a glance. Hm, of everyone here he seemed the least bit pleased with how things were, Viral notwithstanding. What was his story then Aito wondered, and what made him so bitter and vindictive towards Kiton? There was probably plenty to hear there but that would be neither now or any time soon, there were others who needed his attention first.

"You're still an unknown, you're potentially a threat and so people may be uneasy around you. Plus you've got to take into consideration what your people are known for, it hardly makes you the life of a party now does it? But then that brings me back to what I was saying earlier, about how you have to work to change that image. If you don't want to be stigmatized and treated like a common criminal then you need to prove to everyone that you're not. Try to get along with them, you may find they're far more receptive to you than you think." Aito would have to end their conversation there, wanting to get the shuttle moving already. Kiton's wounds weren't serious but it was best they take care of them quickly, and then Viral needed attention. Sitting around here chatting idly was nice and all but it was also a waste of time, and Aito loathed to waste time. Taking a seat in the control room he went about going over all of the buttons and switches, getting a grasp on the basics before finally getting the engines running again, the thrusters sparking to life as he prepared for take-off.

Haku watched Kiton with a bit of curiosity as he talked, wondering why he was so nervous. Weren't Frost Demons supposed to be really powerful? Even if he was hurt he figured the alien could fight and defend himself, even from the likes of Ricken. Hell, the reason Haku himself was always so uneasy was because he didn't feel able to fight back, but Kiton shouldn't have that problem. Watching as the newly-resurrected man went off to the control room he figured he'd rejoin the Frost Demon for now, maybe try and help alleviate some of his nerves. Everyone else seemed to be making some use of themselves, no reason he should be the only one to sit by idly.

"This seat taken...?" Haku asked, smiling slightly as he took the spot beside where Kiton sat, "You shouldn't worry so much, I'm telling you these people are good. They won't let the rebels do anything to you, and they can help you turn your life around if you want to. Just give them a chance, because sure it might take a while, I'm still working on it, but they can be your friends if you let them."

"There were... But none of them were just tossed aside Viral," June explained, smiling sadly as she continued rubbing his back, "They died. A lot of them were sick when they were born or had complications, and Aito did everything he could to save them. The RRA doctors and the other man Aito worked with wanted to put them down to end their misery, but my husband fought to keep them alive and help them improve. I think that's part of why he's already so determined to get to work, maybe he feels like he owes it to the ones that came before you to take care of you. When he said you're the second best earlier? I know he didn't mean it, because I've never seen him so proud as when you were born." Well, there was Vegeta's birth too of course but they were hardly going to pick favorites of those two. Far as both she and Aito were concerned these two were their children, no matter how they looked, and they could never love one more or less than the other. There was a lot of work ahead of them, but June was confident things were going to work out ultimately.

"If you're so worried Viral I can join you. It's not exact yet but I can calm you down, so I'll be there if you start to feel stressed or something." Yumi could only offer to be a sort of sheath for Viral's blade that was his anger, yet that was more than enough for her. Whatever she could do to help her friend she would, even if it might feel meager compared to what Aito was doing. "Like June said too, you're not going to be replaced. You mean too much to everyone for that to ever happen, and you can't replace someone like that. It doesn't matter if he made another 10, or 100, there can only ever be one you," Yumi added, smiling up at Viral, "And I'll never let anyone try to replace you, neither will anyone else here."

Back on the ship, one hour later.

"Holy crap... I'm so sore..." Takeshi groaned as he lay sprawled across one of the tables. The mother of all meals had just been eaten by much of their group, and they had only just finished recounting everything that happened to those who hadn't come along. With a full stomach and fresh change of clothes he could finally relax, and appreciate just how banged up he had been. All of the healing that Eri had done didn't do much for his tired body, and while the actual wounds themselves were gone it'd be a while yet until he felt totally refreshed. Probably not such a bad thing though, it wasn't like they were going to be fighting again any time soon; getting his ass kicked would make him stronger too, wouldn't it? Hard to say without training or something but he felt a bit tougher for it. That could just be him aching too though.

"You're telling me... I got tossed around like a doll," Haku chimed in, leaning back in his seat with his hands over his stomach, "I still can't believe we killed that thing, it was huge!" He'd been scared as a baby in a thunderstorm earlier, but now that he could look back on it the whole thing was kind of exciting, in a near-death experience sort of way. Hardly as sore as Takeshi was (or claimed to be) he was ready to do a bit of training even, though he hadn't a clue with who. Maybe T'charrl would be up for some, they had trained together before a few times after all. Or Shu, albeit he was pretty sure the young Prince still hated him. He could always try one of these others too, not having seen any of them in a very long time. They were hardly friends before, or acquaintances for that matter, but maybe he could get one of them to agree anyways.

Kabocha smirked in amusement as the two boys complained, rolling his eyes before shaking his head. "Listen to you two, complaining like women. Being sore means you fought hard, you shouldn't be complaining about that. Hell, you'll be even better for it later," he said, glancing over at Shu and T'charrl curiously. "You two are awfully quiet, that because you're not as banged up as they are? Or are you two tougher than them?" After asking that Takeshi tossed an empty carton at him, to which Kabocha ducked under and laughed at his friend's expense. Oops, someone struck a nerve!

Aito was fairly impressed with the resources the medical bay had in store, thrilled too to find that everything he needed was here. Or almost everything, a few instruments were missing that he would require in order to work on Viral. If they were going to put the Beastman under then they were set to go, but Viral had made it abundantly clear earlier that he had no such desire for that. Fair enough, Aito couldn't say he really wanted to do that either; it had been well over a decade and a half since he had spoken to either Vegeta or Viral, there was plenty on his mind. There was the need to examine what his son had done and determine where to pick up from, but he could easily talk as he was doing that. For now however Aito was remaining fairly silent, mostly because he was working with Kiton and his injures. The Frost Demon deserved proper treatment, and Vegeta could tend to Viral for the time being.

"And there... That should be the last of the wounds. That stitch will dissolve over time so don't worry about pulling it, and the gel should help the injuries heal even faster. As for your sore muscles," Aito began, handing over a small pill bottle of supplements, "Take one of these every day for a week. It's a mixture of vitamins that will help you rebuild muscle mass and also repair any damaged tissue. Be sure to take it with food, and don't do anything strenuous for a while after you take it, hear me? It's a fast road to recovery using these but it also puts strain on the body, so anything excessive could cause a tear or more injury."

Vegeta didn't quite know what to do with Viral now, other than sit there and chat. His days of working on the Beastman were at an end, he didn't dare start any treatments now that his father was back; best case scenario his work would have no effect as usual, worst case it would impede whatever Aito might do. He'd made the best efforts he could, and while not good enough he couldn't really offer any more. Something else he also could not offer right now was simple conversation, feeling a little awkward with his father in the room. Just seeing him again after all this time was weird, especially considering the fact he looked exactly as he did all those years ago. And never mind the appearance of his parents, how were they going to explain any of it back on Earth? While one problem was solved a dozen other sprung up in their place, he could only hope that Aito had some kind of plan in mind for handling his miraculous return to the land of the living.

"It's strange... Seeing them again, don't you think?" Vegeta asked, smiling slightly as he watched Aito work, "It's been so long... I hardly know what to feel right now. I mean we're both adults now, almost as old as they are, and yet they're still our parents. I don't need to explain why that's so weird, do I?"

Back on the ship the twins had been hard at work trying to create the best meal they could for themselves, but also for their friends if they must too. Neither of them knew how many of them would be hungry so they made a lot of food, but of course there was going to be that immediate rush for food from the others when they arrived even if they hoped there wouldn’t be. By the time the others arrived they ended up having to make even more food but not without forcing help from the others when they were more concerned with eating after training so hard. What a bother it was to always end up cooking for people; at this rate, they’ll probably try and recruit someone to cook good food instead.

Kai was about finished up and shoving his plates to the side while Choi was still happily finishing off what he had. Both of them were needing that and it was nice to finally get it, even if it meant waiting a little longer when these guys came back. At least T’charrl wasn’t big and taking up a lot of space so they could fit more on the table along with the others all being within reach of the food somehow. Neither of them really knew what they were fighting down there until they were told and even then they weren’t happy to hear the results. So the Frost Demons still existed and now they had one on the ship. Luckily they hadn’t met it yet but neither Kai nor Choi could see themselves wanting to meet it. Frost Demons were trouble and finding one alive was generally pretty bad luck for them considering how terribly strong they could be. For whatever reason they took the alien in was beyond their understanding, but it wasn’t something to think about when there was a lot of other things to think about.

Shu had enjoyed his food but remained fairly quiet about eating and what he might end up doing after eating. He didn’t know what he was supposed to do now that they were on their way out again or did he have any clue to what they were going to do now. They had to get Viral sorted and healthy again before anything, but maybe that’s where his worry lay and why not knowing where they were going meant he didn’t know if their friend was going to get the help he needed. He knew they would probably need a better place that wasn’t the middle of space to help their friend, but he didn’t know where that better place might be and what they might need if Vegeta couldn’t use the resources on the ship to help Viral. Sighing lightly he soon squeaked when Kabocha started speaking to him and T’charrl, staring at him before his eyes went to Takeshi when he threw a carton at his friend. Shrugging, Shu pressed his fingers together. “I am just a little tired, maybe. I-I just-…umm, where are we going? Friend didn’t look too good when we were flying up here again…”

T’charrl was enjoying his food all while feeling the energy return to him. He was a little tired but he could last for a while yet without needing to sleep. Probably when he was left alone again he’d have a nap and try to recover his wings, even if he didn’t need them while flying. Looking to Kabocha when he spoke he slowly looked to Shu, feeling curious as to why Shu had been so quiet as well. Maybe he was tired, but when he spoke his concerns were enough to entitle his silence. He didn’t know what they were doing either, especially when they had finally accomplished their goal to go to that big creature and get Vegeta’s parents back. He didn’t know why it was a concern that he was quiet, he was often quiet when the things he usually spoke about were either silly or didn’t hold any real meaning to them. Not feeling the need to talk all that much about his own concerns he simply stuck his tongue in his juice and casually started drinking again, looking between the others curiously.

Kiton had been fairly worried about how his treatment might go but thankfully he didn’t faint and put his life in danger. He was thankful he didn’t need a tank because of all of this but what he did wonder was what they were going to do with him after Aito had stitched him up properly. He couldn’t possibly have free roam after all that and would probably have to settle with being constantly watched over or locked away somewhere in confinement. He wouldn’t blame them, he was pretty dangerous even if he was injured and with this being such a large ship he was pretty much not going to have the freedom to wander and evade them long enough to find a way off.

Watching Aito finish up his final wound he stared at him as he tried to ease his worries about possible stitch pulling in the future, his eyes going to the medicine he was receiving instead. Slowly reaching out to them he took them in hand and gave them a good staring at, feeling confused at first before his eyes shot up to Aito again. “Food? Really? That’s…really great…” he spoke, his eyes going to the pill bottle. He hadn’t eaten in a long time, who knows how long ago when he didn’t know how long he had been unconscious for. He was weakened greatly from the lack of it, especially after fighting off those creatures for so long on his own ship. Trying to get up he soon found himself unable to, his muscles definitely feeling pretty terrible. “…H-How do I get this food…? Where do I get it? Who is going to be my watcher…? And where do I even go after that…”

Viral had been feeling itchy since arriving on the ship, feeling really anxious over what was going to happen to him. He was still stuck in his mixed up form but he was managing to keep his head together, at least enough as to not end up losing it in front of everyone. He didn’t know what was planned for him other than knowing he was going to get treated soon, whenever ‘soon’ was. He was rather twitchy, his leg shaking and his tail waving around at its tip. Even though he knew there was going to be others with him he felt really alone, as if the whole world had shut off around him and he was just left sitting by himself with background noise. Staring at the floor when Vegeta spoke up he didn’t really move much, only giving him a quick look before staring back at the floor, grunting. “Our parents…your parents. You can’t say I relate to them in the same way, especially like this…” he spoke, growling lowly before looking elsewhere, “I don’t know why it would be weird…I’ve nearly always looked like this too. Not like…this…but…like I used to. I don’t remember. Whatever I was like as a child…I don’t know. I don’t remember how I looked or how long it lasted, but I was always the same age as many years ago…”

Takeshi stuck out his tongue childishly at Kabocha, giving a huff before he laid back down across the table, hands on his stomach. "Viral hasn't looked good in a long time buddy, that's nothing new," he pointed out, looking over at Shu, "Who knows where we're going? I don't think we have to be anywhere, so probably wherever we want I guess. Maybe we can even go check out some new worlds." Or maybe not, new worlds generally meant getting caught up in the middle of something. Plus with Viral's treatment starting now was hardly the time to be gallivanting about and exploring anyways, they needed to focus on getting the guy healthy first and foremost. So maybe a world they had been to already, but then which one? It had to be a place Viral could get some help at, and it needed to be a place where they could go and not have to end up fighting again. There was only one world that Takeshi could think of, though he really loathed to return to any place that the rebels were so heavily associated with.

"You'd think that Viral would be healthy by now, with how long he's been getting treated," Kabocha mused, shrugging his shoulders before frowning, "Seriously though, Vegeta couldn't help him? We had to bring back some guy from the dead to cure Viral? We've done some weird stuff guys but this is pretty much the weirdest, and do we even know if this person can really help?" Using Dragonballs was a pretty big deal so there was an awful lot riding on Aito being able to perform as expected. If he didn't manage to cure the Beastman then they were going to have to travel more, and by now Kabocha was getting sort of tired of that. In fact he was just getting tired of traveling around period, they did it too much. That aside when was the last time he got to fight? This whole experience was becoming pretty damn boring, they needed something to spice things up a bit.

"You don't have to be blood related in order for someone to be your parent," Vegeta pointed out, "There's adoption and foster care, but those count. They're the closest thing you've got to parents, and I'm the closest thing you've got to a brother. I'd figure that would make you happy, knowing you have a family." To him that always seemed to be like something Viral was missing, and he'd figured it was something his friend wanted. It was hard to imagine anyone was genuinely content with being along, even if they tried to say they were. "I don't remember either, that's something for you to ask dad, er... Aito. He'll be able to tell you whatever you want to know, you only need to ask." Vegeta didn't have the answers nor the time to explain whatever was on Viral's mind, there were things to be done still. His time with the Beastman might be coming to a close but there was now Kiton to tend to, as someone had to keep an eye on him; watching the Frost Demon was hardly going to be a full-time job, but until they felt more comfortable someone had to keep with him. Giving Viral's shoulder a pat and offering a smile he went over to join his father and Kiton, ready to get heading to the mess hall for some food.

Aito was satisfied with his work for the time being, even if he knew there was still going to be some natural healing involved. They had the means to make Kiton healthy immediately but he wasn't a huge fan of it, preferring to let things be a bit more natural in this case. "Well, my son is going to be helping you out for now, so I would imagine you can follow him to the mess hall," the Saiyan explained, smiling as Vegeta came over and joined them, "After that... I suppose you'll have to figure that out as you go. If Vegeta has something in mind just stick with him, or maybe he'll let you decide. There seems to be a lot on this ship so I'd suggest making good use of it, find something you like." The Frost Demon would have to contend with someone else for now, as Viral was waiting for attention that he so desperately needed. With Vegeta poised to take charge of Kiton for the time being, Aito took it as his time to go see to his other patient, smiling as he walked over to join the Beastman. "Hello, Viral."

Shu looked up at Takeshi when he spoke, frowning before looking away with a shrug. “But long time matters and now he’s worse. It makes me feel sad…” he sighed, leaning on the table, “Ooh, I guess I just wanted Mister Viral to feel happy with his parents, but he didn’t seem happy at all”. It was a little of a sad scene they had to witness when they finally made their wishes, especially considering their friend was under such high stress that he looked like he was going to try and kill his creator. Shu was happy for food and all that but it was not going to distract him so easily from what was happening now. He didn’t have a clue to where they were going and that made him worried as well, knowing he might never know where they’re going until they finally arrive. He hoped they weren’t going to end up travelling to their own father without being told because that would be very bad.

Looking to Kabocha when he immediately spoke up he frowned at him, shifting in his seat. It wasn’t Vegeta’s fault that Viral was in the state he was, he had tried to help him as much as he could. “Using Dragonballs isn’t weird! We used them before to bring back lots of dead people already”, he spoke quickly, lowering his head as he played around with his fingers, “I hope we stop somewhere for longer than a little bit like that, though. I mean…it was fun and all fighting that thing, but I want to stay somewhere for long time and train and get better, not while in a funny room. I want nice smelling air! Metal hurts feel lots…” Maybe the food hadn’t kicked in quite yet but he was feeling rather drained still, his mind not quite with it as he tried to think around the upsetting things in his life right now. Sighing, Shu scratched his chest, looking to Takeshi. “We have many friends now, yes? Do you think we get more friends soon too? I really like many friends. Maybe more people out there that need our help from Father…”

Viral didn’t feel it was right to call them his parents, especially when he didn’t do anything to earn them as such other than being made by them because they ‘felt like it’. He didn’t know what they were thinking when they made him but he knew they made the decision to have a son after he was created. If he was accidentally given a personality then he was their secret and one he probably won’t find out if it’s true yet. “I don’t know what I want anymore. You need to know where you belong before you can fit in”. He could barely remember his own name anymore as his condition advanced, his mind slowly crumbling with very little to hold on to other than his own tame self. Looking to Vegeta he sighed at his decision, not finding it the easiest thing to do. He needed to know many things but he found it hard to trust him. Watching Vegeta get up he grumbled when he patted his shoulder, watching him go and see to the Frost Demon and effectively swapping places with Aito. Staring at him he soon grumbled, looking away when he was addressed. He didn’t want to say anything that might end up being used against him, even if it was a greeting.

Kiton stared at Aito for a moment before looking over to Vegeta, finding it odd that it would be him who would be willing to take him around. He couldn’t move very well and was already hurting a lot to look to him considering how he had to do it to turn his head. His horns were a rather large inconvenience when he was injured. He was very excited about food regardless of his condition and who he might find there so that was helping with his mood, at least. “Find something I like…? But that’s not going to help my case with these people”, he spoke lowly, Trying to move again,”M-Maybe…I might have some freedom after all…” Watching Aito leave him he gasped a little when Vegeta approached him, staring at him before raising his hand slightly, “Vegeta, huh…? Is that a common name for your people?”

"The guy is pretty sick Shu, just because they showed up doesn't mean he's automatically gonna feel better," Takeshi pointed out, letting out a burp before sighing and giving himself a stretch, "Viral's probably happy even if he can't show it yet, you know? I mean this Aito guy is the one who made him, yeah? There's no one better to help him out than him, so things are going to start getting better." They had to, there was no one else that could do this job. If Aito wasn't able to help the Beastman out then he was probably good as dead, that was all there was to it. In an absolute worst case scenario Viral could be brought back ala Vegeta's parents, but having to let their friend die was an awfully shitty way of going about this. There was a growing part of Takeshi that worried that would be the outcome though, and that no matter what might be tried now it was too late. He wanted to stay optimistic, but when even Vegeta was out of ideas it wasn't exactly encouraging. Aito would have to pull off a bonafide miracle to make him see things better.

Kabocha was being pretty damn annoying with his comments, which wasn't anything new. He was being pessimistic, sure, but it was bothersome to hear someone actually voicing that pessimism. "We'll stop somewhere soon, don't worry. We probably need more supplies anyways and after that fight I bet everyone's ready for some relaxing," Takeshi responded, sitting up and crossing his legs, "Maybe we can go back to that other planet, yeah? The one we first went to? What's it called again... Unova, Eoona, uh..." Well the name didn't much matter he supposed, unless he had to talk to someone from that world, then they might get a bit pissed. Giving his brother a smile he nodded his head, looking at everyone gathered at the table before scratching his nose. "Yeah, I guess we do got a lot of friends, huh? Maybe we will make more, I don't know, but I'm positive we'll be helping more people. Maybe Korian and those guys can handle the fighting, we'll just do what we can to help people out, that sounds fine to me."

Aito figured it was the best course of action, handling Viral himself. He had assured Yumi he'd do no such thing earlier, only speaking with the Beastman with her presence, but as of now she was busy catching up with June. This wasn't just something he wanted to do, it was something he needed to do. Even in their brief time together the Saiyan had managed to gather two crucial pieces of information from Viral; his sheer presence was enough to set off the Beastman, and the memory of what happened still tormented Viral. Either way one looked at it the problems stemmed from Aito, and therefore he felt he was solely responsible for what was happening. It was just convenient that he was the one who could help Viral, he'd be here trying to make things right either way. Sending his son off to handle Kiton for the time being, Aito stood before the Beastman for the first time in almost two decades, a small smile on his face as he looked over his creation. What a sorry state he was in, it was heartbreaking to see really. Such a proud, powerful creature last he'd seen him, now he could barely hold himself together. Well, all the more reason to get to work then.

Vegeta wasn't exactly fit for being a sort of support for someone, but if his father wanted him to do this then he'd try. He'd already failed with Viral, though the situation here wasn't nearly as dire, so maybe he'd fare better. Standing before the Frost Demon he looked at him curiously as he moved, taking his raised hand as a sign for some assistance. "How should I know, I don't associate myself with the Saiyans," he replied, shrugging simply before grabbing Kiton's hand and getting him to his feet. Convenient that he was so light, it made holding him up easier than trying to support someone like Viral. Getting an arm around Kiton's waist he began leading him out of the room, sending one last glance back at Viral before exiting. "I heard you two discussing food, do you want to go eat? I haven't eaten either so I wouldn't mind, but I'm not forcing you to go anywhere or do anything."

"Well then... I suppose even a simple hello might be too much," Aito joked lightly, smiling as he watched Viral turn away. Hearing Vegeta and Kiton leave behind him he folded his hands behind his back, walking away some as he looked around the room, "This is going to be how our sessions will go, I hope you know that. If I'm to help you then you'll need to get used to seeing me, which I know is easier said than done. You used to have no problem with it and we'll get back to that, I've no doubts there, it's just how long it may take that I'm uncertain of." It could be days or weeks until viral was comfortable with him again, and that would only be the first step in this recovery process; Aito couldn't work with someone who didn't speak to him or trust him, this had to be a mutual effort by both parties. Sure, he supposed he could force treatments on Viral, but that would only serve to build resentment and he didn't want that.

"I think we should try catching up a little first, sound okay to you? I know we've got work to do but we haven't spoken in so long, I'd like to have a short chat," Aito said, turning back to Viral, "I know how averted you are to being in this room, I read Vegeta's notes. So how about we try a change of scenery? I understand there's a nice library here on the ship, a nice open, lit room with comfortable furniture. I'm thinking we can go there to talk, how's that sound?" First things first, they needed an environment where Viral could feel at ease. His presence coupled with their surroundings now no doubt put the Beastman on edge quite a bit, they would have to relieve the tension somehow. Assuming that Viral could walk under his own power now, Aito walked over to the door and opened it back up, standing there with his hands folded at his back as he waited. "Do you know where it is? I'm not sure so I could use a little tour, if you wouldn't mind."

Just because Viral had been ill for a while didn’t mean he didn’t worry about him. He was supposed to be improving but everything was making him worse and turning him into a madman. He knew if Viral got too out of hand before he was cured he might end up in even bigger trouble and have to be killed off or shut away completely. It made him worried since he had been with them since the beginning of their journey involving the Dragonballs. “I just-…I-I’m just scared, is all. He doesn’t seem too happy with this guy either. If we lose him, we can’t use the Dragonballs to get him back…” He did have a lot of worries and definitely a lack of trust towards doctors, even if the person was perfectly nice themselves. He didn’t want to make Vegeta upset or anything, but doctors and people who focused on making life like Viral were pretty scary to him. Maybe Vegeta could do something about his problem now but then again he might be busy too and want to be with his parents more.

Sighing as he played around with his fingers he continued to press them together as Takeshi spoke to him, trying to ease his mind. Looking up to him he gave him a smile, nodding a little before looking away again. “Uunoue? I did like that place”, he spoke, sighing happily, “They had lots of fish there and made me all better. I don’t remember how we got there first, but it was nice once we did. Maybe friend would get even better if he got some fish and fresh air too. No think he would like being around people, though”. Feeling a little bit better about it he looked up to Takeshi, smiling back as he spoke. It would be nice if they got a break from Saiyans for now, maybe help others who might be having problems without worrying if Korian would summon them back. “It’s so empty on the ship. Lots of room but not many people. Could maybe walk anywhere and not find people! No fun like that”.

Kiton didn’t know how he was going to handle the food when he hadn’t had anything for so long, but it was a requirement so there was no denying him it once he finally got it. He couldn’t wait but also dreaded it, knowing he might end up embarrassing himself with his impulsive behaviour or run into somebody who really didn’t like him. Frowning at Vegeta’s answer he grunted as he was pulled to his feet, his head rather light after all that. “Agh…what? Even with a name like that you don’t?” he asked him, finding it rather odd before he looked down at the floor, moving his hand to help support himself as well. “I guess I shouldn’t question it. I don’t even know my true name but I can imagine it’d be something I wouldn’t want to relate to as well. I’m happy with my name, even if it is a bit silly…”

Viral found it hard to look at the man, even talking to him was proving difficult to accomplish. He didn’t know what might happen if he got into talking to him or if he’d twist certain things he said into something bad that would only get him angry. Scratching at his forearms he grumbled at his words, keeping his eyes off him as he looked elsewhere. Not really being one to try and start a conversation on that basis his eyes went to Vegeta quickly, letting out a grumble and shaking his head. He couldn’t find the courage to eat, even if saying such a thing made him sound like a coward. He was not ready for it in his state and who knew what would happen if he ate and suddenly got aggressive. Not feeling like he wanted to listen to Aito he still did, finding it hard to ignore the man completely. It was definitely horribly uneasy when he had been dead for so long, he didn’t even know what it was like before he was killed but it still felt familiar which only lead to further confusion.

Hearing Aito talk about catching up made him feel rather empty, especially when he didn’t know what they were catching up on. He didn’t know if he had been watching him from beyond the grave but it sure did make him feel uneasy just thinking about it. Letting out a low groan he glanced at him when he suggested going elsewhere, slowly standing up as if trying to get up on stilts. If he was to get any sort of comfortable with his own creator then he was probably best doing as he was told. He only vaguely knew where it was but he didn’t know what he was supposed to do when they got there. Managing to get settled on his legs he soon headed towards the door himself, walking with a slump.

Takeshi couldn't say he was scared too, he had to try and be optimistic about this. Things sure didn't look all that great for Viral but it wasn't going to do him any good to be all uneasy and anxious. "Hey, this is supposed to be the guy who made him, nobody knows Viral better than he does. He's gonna get better Shu, Aito knows what he's doing. Just give it a little time, our friend is gonna be healthy and ready to go before you know it." He had to be, there was nothing else that they could do for their friend at this point. If the very person who created Viral wasn't able to change anything then he was good as done, and like Shu said the Dragonballs wouldn't work with him. Damn it, they were supposed to be all happy that Vegeta's folks were back, so why was everyone so on edge?

"Uuonoe! That's it, I couldn't remember what it was called," Takeshi admitted with a grin, chuckling as he rubbed at his neck, "It's a big world buddy, I'm sure we could find somewhere to go without being all crowded. But yeah, I liked that place too. It's kind of a nice world, even if its a bit weird." Purple grass if he remembered it right, and the Uuonians were a little odd looking too, nice but odd. Nodding in agreement with Shu, the older boy slipped off of the table and reached out, trying to pull Shu up to his feet. "Good point squirt, we should find more people! I mean hell, this thing is big enough to house an entire city, you know? And right now we've got like... A dozen or so people, that's not enough. I bet we could find loads of people who'd want to join us." For what though? If they were going to fight their father then they couldn't be dragging just anyone along, and if they were even just exploring there was the risk of putting people who couldn't fight in danger. Takeshi wanted to have fun with this, not have to babysit a bunch of people who might get in the way.

"I was named for my great-grandfather, he was from the original Planet Vegeta. I'm only like them in name really; blood-wise I'm only a half-Saiyan, and even then I hardly act like one. I'm more interested in intellectual pursuits than combat normally, and a lot of the time I see fighting as a waste of time." His polar opposite would be Takeshi in that regard, someone who tended to just punch things until something happened. It was a feasible if not brutish way to solve things, and certainly not something Vegeta could see himself bothering with. Why waste the energy trying to sort something out when an invention could do it for him? Glancing at the Frost Demon curiously he frowned a little, finding it curious he wasn't even wholly certain of his own name.

"I wouldn't say Kiton is a silly name, I've heard far worse actually. And really at the end of the day a name only means so much. I could call you anything I wanted, be it Kiton or some other name, but ultimately you're still you. So my advice? Don't put too much concern into what your name is, or what it might mean. But if you do have to worry then make it mean something worthwhile, that way you're not going to be thinking it'll reflect on you badly." Jeez, he really did sound like his father didn't he? It was basically rehashing what Aito had said earlier but Vegeta felt it might still help, if only a little. Smiling slightly to himself he let out a sigh, glancing back down the corridor towards the medical bay. "Viral's had a lot of ups and downs yet we still don't hate him. Takeshi has killed people out of anger but we don't hate him. Shu and T'charrl can both turn into things and both go rampant, but they're our friends too. My point being I suppose is everyone's got something that they don't like about themselves, or others may not like, but if you've got friends that'll accept you regardless why worry?"

The medical bay wouldn't do for their purposes, not yet. Before Viral could be even remotely ready for treatment he had to be calm around Aito, and in the environment itself; relaxing for the treatments was going to be crucial, and at current the Beastman was anything but relaxed. A change of scenery would suffice then, which unfortunately was going to be limited to only the rooms inside this ship. Of what little he knew of it Aito figured the library would be a safe bet, not seeing how a bunch of books and soft, cushy furniture could possibly upset Viral. A little odd that, the Saiyans having a library, he'd never really stuck his kin as the sort of intellectual types. Perhaps it was somewhat just a placeholder, a way to make the ship seem nicer, or maybe he wasn't giving the Saiyans enough credit. Maybe during their talks he'd take a glance at some books, just to see what reading material they had.

"I can't say I ever expected this of all of you, traveling around space like this," Aito mused, glancing back at Viral with a smile, "I'm sure you must have plenty of stories about your adventures, about the worlds you've seen and places you've met. I always meant to travel a bit before, so I suppose this works. I can't wait to see what other people might have to offer." The culture, the technology, the architecture, even the people themselves, Aito wanted to see all of it. His father and grandfather had both traveled extensively in their time and yet he'd never had the opportunity, but now he did. What awaited them out here amongst the stars, he wondered? "I must ask... How have you all spent the last few years? June and I didn't pry very much, we wanted to give you privacy to live your lives, but I'm very curious now. I suppose I'd like to know before all of this how was everything?"

Shu had faith in Takeshi’s words, he always did even when they got separated. He always believed he’d be back for him and he was so that was all the more reason to believe his word. He was happy that Takeshi could give him reassurances when he had many doubts. “That makes me happy. I’m glad you believe he will”, he spoke calmly, nodding happily before lowering his head again, “I just hope he eats and sleeps again. I mean…does he sleep anymore? I never see him eat either apart from the bad times when he thought he was a big kitty. I would be all funny if I was hungry and tired all the time…” Sighing heavily he rested his head on his arms, trying to think away from it all so he might feel better. Hopefully everything would work, he wasn’t feeling too good about everything just now and was relying on Takeshi’s word.

Looking to Takeshi he gave him a smile, slowly moving his arm around and giving his neck a rub. “Big world! Yeah! Maybe nice purple and pink and yellow places…maybe colourful places! It was a nice world, I thought”. He really wondered if they would get to see the other places on that planet while they could find peace there. He wondered if there was a really nice place they could go and maybe help people too, but if they didn’t have time for that then maybe that was going to be okay too. Staring at the table he squeaked when Takeshi suddenly lifted him away causing Shu to stumble to his feet. Shaking his fists around for a moment he quickly turned to Takeshi again, bouncing on his feet. “What if maybe there be people living on here we don’t know? That feels really weird if it is a thing”, he spoke quickly, rubbing his arms. “Would be really nice to have more people, but not sneaky people. Or maybe need sneaky people, but sneaky on our side. Friend all being sneaky and get things for us without getting into trouble…ooh! Like food!”

Kiton couldn’t understand it, whether there was a whole bunch of people called Vegeta or there was something he was not understanding fully. “Uhh, in name? Was it a popular name…? I don’t know much about how long Saiyans live but a ‘great’ grandfather sounds like a long time ago”, he spoke, trying to think about it but only managing to make his head hurt. He probably shouldn’t try and think about a lot if he was supposed to be taking it easy, especially on matters regarding history; besides, maybe it was a sensitive subject and probably shouldn’t be talked about all that much. It could be a private matter.

Hearing Vegeta hint at his name being bad but not wanting to outright say that made him feel rather confused, but what he said had him wondering the meaning behind it. He didn’t really think like that regarding his name, only that it sounded rather alright for him other than what he might be called if he found his true name. It didn’t really matter to him what he was called but if he put it that way then maybe it was more important than he thought. “You think so…? I can’t imagine people remembering my name for it to reflect badly on me. I’m sure you can imagine what they look to first before the name”. He figured it was the same for Saiyans, but his was much easier to spot. Staring at him as he spoke about his beast friend he moved his head slightly to look, his eyes soon going back to Vegeta as he frowned. “Your friends sound weird…well, except that Takeshi guy. Sounds like a typical soldier to me”, he spoke, lowering his head, “I don’t know why I’m commenting. I’ve never had friends before, anyway. How do you pick the people you take on your ship…? Just pick them up and go? Is this some sort of oddball sanctuary…?”

Viral already had enough of this guy, just wanting his medicine at this point. He was fed up with hearing his voice all because it hurt his head whenever he tried to think about it, effectively making things worse for himself. If he was going to get any sort of treatment done he wouldn’t mind some medicine instead of having to talk. Talking wasn’t his strong suit anyway and everybody knew that, especially when he was looking like this. He didn’t know why the library was the place to be for this junk but if it would make Aito not have to smell like the medical bay. He just couldn’t relax around the guy like this, even though he knew perfectly well that they were going to bring him back.

Looking up at Aito when he spoke up he let out a low growl before looking to the floor again. He didn’t feel too sure about what he was supposed to expect out of him knowing anything they had been doing all of this time. He could had at least glanced at them or asked to see what was happening when everything that happened up to this point was crucial to how he was supposed to help him recover. “You…don’t need to hear anything about that from me…” he mumbled, sounding like he was trying to refrain from talking to him. He would have to sooner or later, but knowing Aito he might just try and turn what he was saying into something a little less savoury for his tastes. It could easily turn into him belittling him again, but hopefully it wouldn’t regarding how hard he was having to try to keep his mind together. Flinching at his next question he let out a huff with a sharp turn of his head away from his direction, finding it rather hard to believe they had been ignoring him for a few years. So much for the dead always watching over the ones they cared about, making it sound as if he had been up to some rather suspicious things that they couldn’t bear to watch. “Did you even care? Did you simply stop watching just because you figured everything was fine or was it just boring?? Hmph! Privacy….like you even expected to come back…” he growled, giving his arm a quick scratch before he sighed, “Apart from nearly dying over and over again? I’ve been…forbidden freedom, ignored, nearly sold, stolen away, tortured, enslaved, nearly died several times…and that was before this happened! Quite convenient you missed all of that, isn’t it…”

Of course Viral was going to get better! He had to... Right? Whether it was some kind of cosmic nonsense that Takeshi was buying into he figured that the guy was due getting healthy again, and Aito was just the person to help him do it. It would be awesome to have a healthy Viral again, especially since that meant they could get to fighting like before, not to mention his sword training might resume. There was a lot more to it than that too, everyone was going to be happier if Viral was healthier and there would be way less to worry about. Though Takeshi and Shu probably didn't worry about it it was probably a safe bet others were concerned that their friend might go nuts again and attack someone; supposedly he'd already gone for Yumi, yet she didn't seem like she'd been attacked at all. So it wasn't just Viral who would benefit from his getting better but everyone, and that was why he needed to recover now.

"It is nice, yeah, which is why we're going back!" Takeshi said with a grin, reaching down and snatching his brother up to his feet, "If we don't know them then we either keep not knowing them or make friends, seems pretty simple to me. Knowing you buddy you'll try making friends, even with the fricken trees if we let you." While the older boy didn't mind more friends he wasn't exactly going to run around trying to make them, he'd just befriend whoever came their way. Or not, he wasn't exactly buddy-buddy with the likes of Ricken or even Sasha, even if the latter was easier to get along with. Everyone on this ship with the exception of Kiton was a friend far as he was concerned, and even the Frost Demon may find himself in that circle if he played his cards right. "How's about we go play a bit Shu? Anyone else want to come?"

Haku wasn't too confident about his ability to make friends, he was still trying with the people already here. Kiton might be a friend by now but then he was the only person who he hadn't wronged, everyone else had reason to dislike him. Takeshi and T'charrl were alright with him, though he got the uncanny feeling they were doing that just for Shu's sake, someone who he knew disliked him. Even if he didn't feel completely welcome he was going to try and come along for this play of theirs, hoping if he kept it up and played nice maybe they'd include him more. Getting to his feet he smiled slightly, glancing over at T'charrl to see if he'd be joining them too.

"Play? Nah, I'm going to go train," Kabocha said, waving a hand dismissively as he too got to his feet, "We might be left out of fighting but I'll be damned if I fall behind you guys. So go ahead and clown around, I'll be making myself stronger."

"It might have been, I don't know. I'm only 25, I don't know what generations before mine used for names," Vegeta responded with a shrug, "Nor do I really care. If you look at my name, lineage wise, it'd suggest I'm royalty or something like that, which isn't the case. Shu and Takeshi have that to their names and they can keep it, I want nothing to do with it." Too much responsibility to other people, he was a little more self-serving in most regards; Vegeta helped his friends with his problems, but unless the duty aligned itself with his own interests he didn't much care to spend time on it. Far as he was concerned his family had no claims to the throne or anything of the sorts anymore, he was content with simply being a half-Saiyan living on Earth.

"Your appearance, I would think. But if people are so short-sighted enough to only judge you based on looks then don't waste your time with them. You don't need everyone to like you or accept you, and realistically not everyone will. Take what you can get and forget the rest." A bit backwards considering he had been preaching changing Kiton's ways to make him more accepted, but Vegeta didn't think people like that were worth the energy. There were some like their group who were hesitant, and those should be the people who he tried to win over; people who were against Kiton from the outset had no right or need to be taken into consideration. "Takeshi is... Weird. I wouldn't say he's a typical soldier because he isn't, but he shows signs of it sometimes too. I wonder what his life was like before us..." Vegeta mused, shrugging it off before glancing at the Frost Demon. "We take in people who we help, or who request to join. The crew are all people we saved from the Saiyans and they offered to work for us instead, and I suppose you're just someone who we helped. As I and others have said though, what you ultimately decide to do is your choice. If you don't want to be with us then that's fine, we'll find somewhere to set you and that'll be that."

Viral likely wasn't up for conversation right now, not with him, but they had to give it a shot. Aito needed some form of basis to begin his work from and he could only do so much with what others told him. Notes were helpful, yet they hardly compared to having first-hand experience with someone. And much as Aito might claim that he knew Viral the fact was that now he really didn't; it had been almost two decades since he'd last seen this man, and chances were quite a lot was different now. Any simple conversation wouldn't give him the insight he'd need, but the Beastman had to be comfortable to just talk before he could even attempt extracting what he might need.

"I do need to hear from you though, or rather I want to. I can't make any progress without your input, that's how this sort of business works. I understand you may not want to recount some of the more unpleasant things but whatever you can share will ultimately make your recovery all the quicker." You could only gain so much from being in Otherworld, and the few glimpses he'd had of his son and Viral over the years were hardly sufficient. Besides, hearing things from the Beastman himself would give a completely different perspective than what Vegeta or Yumi could offer, and ultimately, he hoped, a far more vivid picture of what the situation was. "I figured that I had lived my life, and you were living yours. I simply had no right to pry or watch over you, so I didn't. There's no nefarious undertone or lack of care to it, Viral, I simply respected your privacy, all of you," Aito explained casually.

"And all of that... It's a lot, and I really can't offer any sort of apology or condolence that will make it all just wash away. If you wouldn't mind though I would like a little more information on some of that, particularly being sold and enslaved in particular. Again I know talking about it won't be easy, but it may be pertinent to your treatment that I know these things. But a hallway is hardly a proper place for a conversation like that now is it? Let's go get comfortable," Aito said, smiling as he fell in line with Viral. Taking a brief pause he looked over at the Beastman, his lips pulling down slightly into a frown as he let out a sigh. "Listen... I can tell you're having problems being near me, and I don't hold it against you. But you have to tell me right now exactly what it is that's bothering you. I want to help Viral, but if I can't even be in your general proximity then it'll never work. What is it that you feel when I'm near?"

Shu’s trust was placed in everybody else’s trust that things would go alright, probably because whenever he trusted his own instincts he got nowhere. He was happy enough with hearing others having trust in their own word and events that might seem incredibly doubtful in his own eyes. It was probably a good reason why he wasn’t going to be a very good leader if he was ever asked to do such a thing when he didn’t have much faith in himself to make the right decision. He looked forward to seeing Viral healthy and not looking like he might collapse suddenly. He was looking forward to having them all be a team again and seeing the Beastman in action, even if he had a habit of tearing people apart.

Stomping around on the spot all excited, Shu nodded happily. “But trees are friends! I love having friends and trees protect me so they be my friends! Keep save all nice and happy and save, give food and shelter…I’ve said before!” he squeaked, bouncing around Takeshi, “Makes me feel happy!” Shu was pretty happy now that he had been reassured, feeling better that he got to be relieved of possible worry he would be feeling later. Maybe if he saw Viral being helped later it might help ease his mind even more. He’d probably have to wait a while before going to see Viral but it’d still be a good idea. Poor guy would probably like some company eventually once his mood improved. Looking up to Takeshi at the idea of playing Shu nodded happily, bouncing on his feet. “Play! Yeah! Play fun! Please play!”

T’charrl finished up his juice and gave his face a quick wipe, looking like he was trying to hide his tongue out of embarrassment from needing to use it. He knew Takeshi still got freaked out over things he did and had to admit it was a little weird when nobody else used what he needed to use for drinking. He was okay with keeping his ‘weirdness’ to himself if it was going to make people content. Finishing up his grooming he looked to Takeshi at the offer of playtime, glancing to Haku when he got up he stared at him for a moment before getting up as well. He would like to play but he was still nervous about playing around with all of them if one of them didn’t feel comfortable touching him.

Kai and Choi looked to each other before Kai looked back to Takeshi, shaking his head. “We’ll go and train too. Can’t be falling behind...” he spoke, letting out a long sigh, “Besides…we can’t fall behind either. Would be nice to be able to relax on that planet too, even if we were with the King last time we were there…”

Kiton really didn’t understand, he couldn’t tell if the guy was saying he was part of the actual royal lineage of the Saiyans of past times. It made him curious about this lot and hearing how two of the others were royals made him feel weird about being here. “I don’t get why you wouldn’t want to brag…I mean, being related to royalty sounds pretty good unless they’re like my kind. Just to carry a famous name like that…” It would be a lot better than carrying the Frieza family name, that was for sure. He really didn’t understand what was going on with these people even after being told, his curiosity resting in whether the others would forgive him or not.

Kiton didn’t really like that Vegeta decided to follow up on his possible guess but at least he tried to make him feel better about it. At least for them he hadn’t found his second form yet or third for that matter, otherwise he would really stick out like a sore thumb. “Yeah well…if any of them decide to pick on me because of my appearance and don’t change their attitude…they’ll be sorry when I’m healthy again…” He was well aware of his power when he was healthy but he wasn’t willing to show it off. He knew how out of control his power can be and he couldn’t allow it to get to that state around these people. It was the case for all Frost Demons who couldn’t show control with even the story of Frieza showing how out of control his species could get once they lost their calm. “Hmm…sounds like I’m the odd one out then. That is…unfortunate for me”, he sighed, shaking his head, “I’ll let the others decide if they want me around when it means it’ll affect them more than me. Forcing them to take me in when they don’t want to seems unfair to me. I’m just here by accident, essentially…”

Viral was really rather angry and shaken that everything that was always said about the dead was completely not true, even with all his knowledge of the Otherworld. Maybe they had told they would always be watching over him to scare him into thinking if he did bad his creator would know, even from beyond the grave. It sounded like something he would be fooled by, being as naïve as he appears to be. Even if it was true he figured they would want to watch over Vegeta more when he was their true son and he was just created as a test to see if they could. That was definitely something he would need to ask in the future, but he would need to find the right moment and not end up wanting to tear Aito’s face off.

Feeling particularly angry with Aito over all he had missed he could barely think straight, his concern not even to get to the library when he felt the need to go away from Aito immediately. He was supposed to be with him and knew if he gave up on this then they would have no choice but to kill him before he got even worse. It made him incredibly frustrated and forcing him to relieve what had happened in the past just made him angry. “Get comfortable…more like you get comfortable while I have to suffer through recalling memories! Sounds like fun to me…” Feeling rather discouraged about this he stared at the floor as they walked, watching his feet before looking up to Aito as he questioned his reluctance to be with him. It had been so long but he still had the worries constantly building up over again, letting out a growl as he held his head with one paw. “What’s bothering me, right now? You’re bothering me right now!” he spoke quickly, sounding rather distressed, “I know you have to but I can’t get over it that easily! I don’t remember anything! I’m the only one that doesn’t remember anything and I just-…I just don’t know if I’ll try to kill you again! You say you’re prepared, but how and what might happen and-…I just can’t handle it!”

Takeshi had to bite back a groan at Shu's words, finding it unbelievable the little guy actually thought of trees as friends. Laying his face in one of his hands he looked up when his brother began bouncing around, smiling slightly before reaching out and poking his forehead. "Yeah, we can tell it makes you happy buddy. We'll play with tons of tree friends on Uuonoe, okay? Just gotta get there first," he said, rolling his eyes before glancing at the others curiously. Neither the twins nor Kabocha felt like joining them, but it did seem like T'charrl and Haku were up for it. Good, maybe they could find something all four of them could play together. With the Kaesstrian being back to his more normal size that hopefully meant some games were open to them, as it was a little tough doing some things with a giant player. Shrugging off the others in the mess hall Takeshi shot his brother a smile, nodding his head to the door before making his way for it.

"Royalty is a lot of fluff and not much else. I have no desire to lead that many people, or take that kind of responsibility. As it stands I'm not overly thrilled being the de-facto "captain" of this ship," Vegeta explained, giving a shrug before letting out a sigh, "Famous or infamous? It depends on what circle you're in, and I'm sure quite a lot of people aren't fond of my grandfather or whoever came before him." After all, the original Vegeta had hardly been the kindest of people, even in his more mellow years. Prior to meeting Goku, as he understood, he was actually quite the bastard too, which meant there were loads of people both on Earth and abroad that likely detested the man. When you looked at it that way it was a little difficult to take pride in one's name, especially when it was synonymous with terror or cruelty.

"That attitude right there is precisely why you're seen the way you are now," Vegeta pointed out, "You can't threaten people to make them change their minds, it's foolish. Take what is said in stride, use it as ammunition to work to be better and prove those people wrong. Unless you always want to be viewed in the same light as your predecessors you need to step away from that line of thinking." Threatening people to quit criticizing him was just childish, it was something he expected out of Takeshi if anyone. Speak of the devil and he shall appear, there was the very same boy now coming out of the mess hall just up ahead. It looked like some others were going with him as well, goodness knows what they were up to. "It is their decision ultimately, you're right, but make an effort to encourage them. You won't get anywhere in life if you sit by idly and hope things fall in place for you, you've got to take action sometimes. Now then... How about we find some food, hm?"

You didn't have to be empathetic like Yumi to feel the fury from Viral, it was almost palpable. So he was quick to anger, Aito surmised, something a little different from before. That was not to say that the Beastman never got angry before, but this was an unusually quick rise to it. Hm, what could be causing that then, he wondered? It could be just Viral feeling threatened, and being more animal-like now it was natural that a threatened creature would become angry and defensive. There may be another explanation too, one more in line with what Vegeta's research suggested; being treated so poorly and having his genes thrown out of sync could be causing the shark genes to behave erratically, and in turn produce an unusually high level of testosterone. Should that be the case it would explain both the aggression and the anger, and why a good portion of shark physiology was showing itself now. That would have to be the starting point of the actual treatment then, as having Viral randomly go into a rage was obviously a bad thing.

Why was Viral so on edge with him? Aito couldn't make sense of it, he'd never shown any aggression towards the Beastman, not in the past or present, and he'd not really said anything to warrant it. Could it be the shark genes again? He knew that it could cause a rise in confrontational behavior, but in a way it seemed more like the Beastman was trying to avoid conflict. Continuing to question Viral further he would get his answer, a little surprising but not wholly unexpected. So that was it then, he worried that he may try to kill his creator again? Given the circumstances Aito couldn't fully debunk that fear, but it was unfounded. This wouldn't be like before, when he and June were totally unaware and unprepared; kind as he was being to Viral there was no way that Aito would let history repeat itself. Deliberating on how he should quell those concerns he looked down the corridor, a smile crossing his lips when he saw Yumi walking towards them. As soon as their eyes met she must have somehow picked up on his intentions, looking fairly worried as the Saiyan began to make his move.

"Do you honestly think you could kill me, Viral? In your current state?" Aito asked, glancing over at the Beastman, "It's not like last time, I won't be caught by surprise no matter what you might do. And frankly, even if you did somehow sneak up on me you're simply not strong enough to kill me now." Vanishing from Viral's side he reappeared a few meters ahead of him, facing him with a slight smirk as he held his arms out to his sides. "I can tell that you need convincing, so come on then. Yumi's here, she'll stop you if anything bad happens, so come at me then! Let out all of your anger on me, your fears and your anxieties, let them go and attack. That's an order, show me just how strong you are!"

Yumi had paled considerably hearing Aito speak, thinking he was absolutely out of his mind. What in the world was he doing, trying to make Viral fight? It was crazy, he wasn't ready to fight right now! He had to know that so why was he pushing for it? Standing a bit behind the Saiyan she looked past him at her friend, frowning and giving a shake of her head. "Viral, don't! Whatever he's trying to prove there's got to be another way, don't do it!"

Shu couldn’t wait to play with everyone now that they could relax a lot better, feeling the edge come off his body immediately into something nice and calming. If T’charrl was going to be playing he hoped Takeshi was going to be tolerant with him and not end up freaking out over his fur again. He thought it was a little sad that T’charrl was so nervous about getting close to others when everyone but him was put off to his thick soft fur when all it did was keep him warm and probably free of dirt, even if he did drop a lot of dust sometimes when he was nervous. He was sure he was going to freak out again at some point but Shu knew what to do to help T’charrl if that did happen. Rubbing his head when Takeshi poked his forehead he soon gave it a quick shake, smiling happily at Takeshi. “Yay! I want to explore and see why people love the planet…even if big monsters…” Squeaking happily he bounced around and immediately headed towards the door after Takeshi not before suddenly running back to T’charrl, taking him by the arm and taking him out after Takeshi. “Friend T’charrl have lots of fun!”

Kiton didn’t understand who wouldn’t want to have everything they wanted if at the cost of having that kind of responsibility, but his perspective of royalty was what he knew to be what he had heard in stories. “I don’t know…sounds alright to me. Respect comes with it…” he sighed, shaking his head slowly, “I would call it famous, though. I mean…I don’t remember hearing anything about it being terrible when it’s not related to evil. You get told legends but you don’t hear about infamy”. He found it hard to understand what the problem was with the name and everything to do with it. If it was something personal to Vegeta then he could understand, but it wouldn’t hurt to find out more about it.

Kiton frowned when he was instead told off for the further actions he’d take against someone terrible, sighing and looking away in response. He saw it as no problem at all when the other person was clearly a jerk and would never understand what it would be like to be him. He didn’t see how it was the same as what his kind did in the past, but then again he wasn’t exactly the most sociable person in the galaxy and seeing it as a social hindrance was probably something Vegeta’d know more about. “I just-…I just can’t get them to change either…so what’s the point on trying”. Feeling a little lost for good thought he gasped when he noticed someone ahead, caught pretty off-guard by someone appearing up ahead. Staring at them for a moment he sighed, calming down again before looking up to Vegeta again. “Yeah…yeah, food. I haven’t had food in a very long time”, he sighed, feeling weak with hunger as if the feeling had just been waiting until he got close to food before coming at full force, “Many think my kind don’t need food because…well, anatomical reasons…but we need energy from somewhere”.

Viral didn’t want to have his mind picked at like this, he was already having a hard time keeping it together and having his mentality analysed was just going to make things worse for him. He was not able to see through the building rage everytime he had to think about the hows and whys he was feeling like this. He was angry nearly all the time and completely stressed out. Finding it hard to keep calm he tried to distract himself by scratching his scalp to the point he might as well end up bleeding out. Maybe saying why would help him feel somewhat better and get a load off his chest; however, as Aito started talking his stressed expression dropped. Moving a step back he removed his claws from his head. There he was with the quip about his strength, his own creator saying he wasn’t capable and how he only lucked out when killing him last time.

Stunned in an array of thoughts and feelings towards this man once again he gasped when the man vanished, appearing just a little further ahead. Staring at him he shook his head slowly, feeling stressed and displaying a mental struggle over his words. Taking a step back he gasped as he gave the order, raising his claws as if ready to follow through with the order; however, hearing Yumi’s voice he gasped, temporarily leaving his mindset and looking to her with worry and surprise. “Y-Yumi…? I-…but-…” he stuttered before growling angrily, raising his claws, “I can’t disobey!” With a snarl he immediately darted straight at Aito, throwing his claws down with as much strength as he could muster to try and prove the man wrong.

"Hey, the last big monster we found we ate, remember? That stupid fish thing!" Takeshi said, grinning as he rubbed his stomach, "That was delicious, I hope we find another one. Or maybe a giant pig... Ooooh, giant strips of bacon!" They had only just eaten and yet Takeshi was hungry again, as only a Saiyan could be. The unusual notion of giant farm animals seemed like a fantasy come true to him, and it could just be that some planet out there had exactly that. Or the alien counterparts to farm animals, he really doubted there were space cows. Really it didn't matter much what they found, only that it was edible. Shu could have his fruits and leaves or whatever, Takeshi would be damned if he had to stick to those for every meal. Humming to himself as they left the mess hall he wondered where they should head to play, losing his train of thought when he saw Vegeta and Kiton up ahead. Smirking he gave the pair a wave, wondering what they were doing down here.

"You can gain respect without having to take on that kind of duty. My father commands that kind of respect and he's only head of a company, not some ruler." Though with Capsule Corporations influence perhaps Aito was a ruler, just not in the traditional sense of the word. "Legends are told by the victors, you hardly ever hear the stories from the defeated party," Vegeta pointed out, frowning as he shook his head, "Stories can obscure what happened, especially if its a story from the winning side. Someone who is dubbed a hero by some is a villain to everyone else, a deed that was called pure and just in one tale could be genocide for all we know. Unless you know the full story behind something it's best not to put your entire faith into it, that's just naive." It was like how his father had tried to tell him what a great man Vegeta had been, only for his grandfather, Trunks, to share the real information. Two different accounts of the same thing, both shedding a completely different light on an individual. So yeah, you didn't tend to hear legends about how awful people were, but then that was usually because no one was left to tell them.

Convincing Kiton that the others could be befriended wasn't easy, but then this was hardly Vegeta's area of expertise. Someone like Yumi would be far better suited for this conversation, or even Shu despite his manner of speaking being a bit odd. Furrowing his brow as he mulled over what was said he finally shook his head, looking over at the Frost Demon, "You don't know that unless you do try. They have made friends out of plenty of people already, there's nothing to say you won't be among them. The only thing holding you back from doing such a thing is yourself." It may not be easy, and it may in fact not happen, but Kiton needed to at least give it an effort to have a definitive answer. Curious as to why the alien had gasped he looked ahead, wondering where those four might be off to. Only giving them a nod as the two groups passed he paused at the door, watching as Kabocha, Kai and Choi all left as well.

"You're a living creature, it's absurd to think you don't need food," Vegeta said plainly as he went into the mess hall, "You'll have to eat lightly though, we don't want to make you sick. If there's anything you've got in mind I'll see about making it for you." What did a Frost Demon generally eat anyways? His information on Kiton's kind was grossly lacking, he couldn't even pretend to have knowledge of them. Given it had been some days since his last meal he figured Kiton would eat whatever he was given, but it just seemed a courtesy to ask before shoving food at him.

Was provoking Viral a foolish idea? Most certainly. June would likely be throwing a fit if she knew what he was doing, which was precisely why he'd not told her any of his plans. Insane as this might appear to Yumi he knew precisely what he was doing, he would be in control during this entire process. It was a little surprising that the Beastman so readily took the order despite his concerns about attacking just seconds earlier; the ability to command Viral was still there, perhaps stronger than ever. Standing motionlessly in the middle of the corridor he did his best to make Viral attack, hoping Yumi's interference had no bearing on this. Her words would fall on deaf ears, and with a vicious snarl the Beastman went on the attack, darting right ahead with claws poised to strike. It would be easy enough to dodge this attack, but then that wasn't the point of this exercise. Viral had to be shown how fruitless his concerns were, how there wasn't any reason to fear potentially attacking Aito. Smiling right up to the point of impact the Saiyan raised his hands, and without budging even a centimeter caught both of Viral's arms, halting him in place.

"If you were healthy like before I doubt I could halt you so easily, but in your current state it's hardly any kind of effort," Aito said, looking up at Viral, "I suppose you still won't believe me though, that maybe this is a fluke. So then, try it again!" With a push he tried to force the Beastman back a bit, taking a small step backwards as well and motioning for Yumi to do the same. Glancing back at her curiously he frowned seeing how pale she was, clearly not enjoying this demonstration at all. A shame, but it was necessary for Viral's sake, she would just have to suck it up. "Come on then, Viral. Surely you can manage more power than that, what with that frame of yours? How do you expect to kill me if you can't even move me?"

Shu giggled happily, pulling T’charrl alongside him as he moved closer to Takeshi. “I do remember! It was very tasty, everybody was happy! It was a nice and happy time”, he squeaked, still remembering why they had made a big feast out of it. He hoped the Uunoue people were happy again after getting that feast, hoping their homes had been rebuilt. It was a lot of damage they had sustained because of the rebels living there so he did hope they were still okay with what had happened and had forgiven the rebels. It was definitely nice that they had all gathered like that to feast on the big monster, all coming together no matter their background. “Maybe we go hunting! But only if the others are okay with that, I mean…don’t want to kill something that people love, yes? That would be bad!”

T’charrl felt a little lost but it was expected when he was already struggling to comprehend what they had been doing before they arrived on his planet. It all sounded quite nice to have a big feast, but involving a big monster made him wonder where their boundaries lied. “Uhh, you would eat a big monster fish thing…?” he asked before shaking his head, “At least you didn’t do that on my planet. I mean…they’re all vicious and deadly. If you thought I was strong, you should see some of the predators”. He wouldn’t want his friends getting hurt and the creatures on his planet were often large and powerful or quick and vicious with knife-like teeth. He would be worried over their safety when he knew exactly what kind of animals lived on his planet and they hadn’t even seen a fraction of what his planet had to offer.

“Your father…? Head of a company? What kind of company?” Kiton felt he probably shouldn’t pry but he felt that he needed to know these people rather than having them appear like complete strangers. He was worried that he would just end up being the outcast even if he decided to join this group. “But…stories are important, at least to me. When you’re in space all alone, stories keep you going through the bad times, even if they’re tales of genocide! I-I don’t…think it’s…naïve to put your faith in stories…but, rather they act as a way to make you believe you can become something great too…”

He didn’t like how this guy was talking to him; just who did he think he is, anyway? It was in his right to believe stories told to others of greatness and fear. Just because his family was rich and he owned this massive spaceship didn’t mean he could tell him he was naïve for believing in what essentially could be made up bedtime stories. Feeling rather down on himself he sighed lightly, lowering his head. “Myself…? I just-…it’s hard to believe, okay? Maybe you’ve experienced it before what with all your money, but people will pretend to be your friend. Nothing’s stopping them from pretending they’re my friend…” The emergence of the others caused some fright in him, worried that they might stop to try and talk to him resulting in him feeling incredibly awkward when all he wanted to do was eat; luckily, they passed him and even gave a wave.

Hearing the passing group talk about their past endeavours and planets made Kiton feel like he was missing out on some stories, but the feeling that he shouldn’t pry made him incredibly nervous too since it sounded like these people were killers and were well aware that they were very strong. If he got on the wrong side of them he was afraid that he would end up pretty dead, even if the stories might be exaggerated. Still not feeling completely settled with that he nearly stumbled over his feet when Vegeta stopped, watching as another group emerged from the mess hall. Staring at them he noticed that two of the Saiyans looked the same, watching the pair as one elbowed the other ending with both of them looking to him. Staring right back at them he moved when Vegeta decided to move again, watching the Saiyans as he headed in before looking to Vegeta. “Well…some believe we’re monsters that will suck the lifeforce right out of you or something, I mean…what people call us doesn’t play well to us not being monsters”, he spoke as he looked around the mess hall, feeling weak in the knees already, “Anything in mind…? You’re giving me a choice? Uhh! Uhh…fish? Fish…any fish. I won’t eat fast, or I’ll try not to”.

Viral couldn’t disobey a direct order like that and hearing it from Aito had him forcing himself into obeying it, his desire to show that he wasn’t weak overpowering his sense to see it was a stupid order to begin with. Throwing his arms at Aito in a vicious assault, he continued to try and push himself in order to damage Aito even before he realised he couldn’t get his arms to go any further as they were caught instead. Snarling angrily when he found he couldn’t attack he looked down at Aito, glaring at him as he spoke before he was pushed back. Stumbling on his feet he stared at Aito furiously, looking like he was finding it hard to comprehend he had been stopped with barely any effort.

In this form he was stronger than he had ever been before, stronger than most could believe and yet Aito had stopped him like it was nothing. He didn’t know what he was talking about, he didn’t know how strong he had been when he was healthy when he paid no attention to him throughout the years. His memories of him being healthy was from practically twenty years ago. Snarling furiously at Aito he simply dropped down and tried to ram Aito with his horns with as much force as he could muster, his arms ready to swipe out with fury.

"That fish was awesome... So soft and flaky, and it tasted really buttery..." Takeshi said, reminiscing as he began to drool slightly, "Man... I hope there's another one of those things..." The Uuonians didn't seem to mind their killing the fist, so he could only guess it was probably either a monster or nothing special. If they could kill another they probably would, it'd just mean a big meal for them to enjoy. The only problem with that was, much as they could put down huge amounts of food, that fish was a little too much even for them. There was a solution to that though, another celebration! Takeshi didn't know what they might celebrate nor did he particularly care, he just wanted more delicious fish. "We'll only kill bad things buddy, and we'll only kill what we've gotta kill. No reason to go nuts and start hunting everything, you know? Gotta leave something for them to eat." On a planet like Kaesstra they could pretty much eat what they pleased seeing as the locals didn't much care for meats, but on Uuonoe it was the total opposite.

Glancing back at T'charrl, the older boy grinned and nodded his head, gesturing to himself with a thumb to his chest. "Damn straight we did. Shu and I were kicking the crap out of it, then Vegeta came along and helped kill it off. And hey, it's not like we fight a ton of dangerous stuff already, you know? It's not any fun hunting something that can't fight back." Was it a bit twisted to say that it was fun? Takeshi supposed it wasn't really 'fun' persay, more exciting. If you needed to work for your food he'd rather enjoy it somewhat then just smack something once and be done with it; really tasty food like the giant fish was well worth the effort. "Tell ya what though, we won't go and pick fights with anything scary, okay? We'll keep it nice and simple... Maybe."

"I suppose its what you take from the stories that matters in the end. If you model yourself after tales of genocide then you'll only repeat the atrocities, and if you follow the tales of heroes then you're bound to try living up to that," Vegeta mused, "But as I said, there's no way to know the entire story unless you were there. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with having an idol or someone you look up to, but just bear in mind that sometimes the truth isn't what it seems." Sounded a little paranoid, he would admit, but that was just the reality of his situation. When you were told your parents had died in an accident, for example, only to learn your friend had been manipulated into killing them your outlook on things kind of changed a little. "He owns Capsule Corporation, its a very successful business on Earth. We specialize in medicine, technology and space exploration, and a few other things I suppose," Vegeta said, sounding almost bored as he recounted it, "It's a bit dull though, running it. I'd been doing it for the last few years, but I suppose dad will be taking it back soon."

In fact, Vegeta was more than okay with Aito taking the reigns back, he was counting on it. There were things he wanted to do for himself that he'd never been able to, so often tied down to his chair and desk. Back when Viral had gone on his hunt for the Dragonballs he had so desperately wished to join them, but responsibilities at Capsule Corporation kept him from going. Now that he was getting a taste of adventure he wanted to remain doing this; making his father go back to work may be a little selfish, but somehow he suspected Aito wouldn't mind that much. "But what reason would they have to pretend? By your logic they would be pretending to gain something from you, but as you said you lost near everything on the ship. No money, no personal belongings, they've nothing to gain from deceiving you. If someone here becomes your friend then its genuine, I can guarantee you that."

Now that they were in the kitchen Vegeta found it a touch difficult to think of much else other than food. The group before had been courteous enough to clean up after themselves, but the room still reeked of food which only served to agitate his hunger further. He wasn't even sure what he might have to eat, nor did he particularly care, he just wanted food. Pushing open the swinging doors to the kitchen he held them for Kiton, pausing at the counter as he questioned the Frost Demon as to what he wanted. "Well of course I'm letting you decide, its your meal," Vegeta responded, giving Kiton a funny look of confusion, "You don't have to be so nervous, we're only eating. And fish is easy enough to prepare, just give me a bit to prep it." Rolling up his sleeves he went and dug through the refrigerator, finding a sizable filet and placing it down on the counter with a cutting board. Hm... Maybe he'd just fry it in some light oil, make a bit of hand-cut potato chips and a side of vegetables with it. Could Kiton even eat this food though?

Aito knew his order was causing conflict, but then that was the point. What was more powerful; Viral's need to obey, or his self control? Could he keep himself collected even when given such a tough order, or was he going to lose himself to a frenzy? Despite all of the protests he was going ahead with his plan, nigh demanding that the Beastman do as he was told. Watching as the first attack came in he made no effort to dodge, simply reaching up and catching both of Viral's arms as though they were nothing. It wasn't that there was no power behind the swings, because there certainly was, but it wasn't enough to pose a threat. Smiling he pushed Viral back from him, giving his hands a slight shake before dropping them down at his sides.

"If you want your strength back then we have to treat you, but to do that you have to let me treat you. You can't kill me Viral, not again, and I'm going to prove it," Aito explained, smirking as he waved the Beastman to come after him, "So come on, let's see what you've got." Not much more invitation than that was needed as Viral came rushing in once again, this time looking like he was trying to skewer someone. Putting one leg behind himself Aito reached out and caught the two horns, sliding slightly this time as Viral's full weight proved a little tougher to halt. Watching as the arms began to swing too he pushed Viral's head up, swiftly deflecting the incoming strikes as he tried to keep the Beastman well away from Yumi. Would he be able to recognize what was he was trying to show in this display? Or was he far too gone in his mania to acknowledge it?

Shu loved the fish too, getting all excited over the memory of the fish even though it was just food. It was more the atmosphere he remembered and how much he enjoyed being a part of it, even if there was a lot of people there. It was the fact that everyone was so happy, well almost everyone since Viral didn’t seem too happy at the time but he had just been released from his mind control not long ago. “Maybe there is more…I don’t know! Maybe it was a mutant! I don’t know that either”, he smiled happily, nodding, “Friends were okay with us bringing it to them! It wasn’t very nice and probably wasn’t nice to the other fish in the lake…if there was any left”. Maybe that’s why they were happy to see it gone; it had been eating all their fish and got so bloated that they couldn’t deal with it anymore. If that was the case then maybe there was more like that, sounded pretty tasty really. “Fish was probably bad too so we did good thing! Such good thing for nice people. Now they have lake unless there’s more. Fight the monsters!”

T’charrl was a little concerned but it was generally nothing when there was little he could say that would make him sound any less like a wimp. He didn’t know how to fight large-scaled creatures and something like that would definitely be a worrying element to fight, but if they knew how to do it then maybe he wouldn’t feel so bad about having to do it himself. The thought that it was a water creature made him worried a little bit, especially if they wanted to find another since they really liked how that one tasted. “Well uhh, hunters of my planet have to usually kill swiftly or they’d get attacked, at least for the bigger kills. Fighting something continuously is usually something you have to retreat from, I suppose. I’m fine with whatever so long as there’s no water…”

Kiton saw no problem with doing such a thing when he was supposed to be finding something that might lift his spirits and allow him to hope for a better place that he might just be able to find. Stories often allowed the person hearing or reading them to forget the world around them and give them a way to find hope that life might get better; however, the stories did often include his own race and a lot of them were not always pleasant. He knew to look to the ones with the heroes rather than villains but there was always going to be a story where his race did something terrible and should serve as a warning against others of his kind. “I try to take the stuff that makes me feel like I can accomplish big things despite my situation. Whether they’re true or not…I don’t know, I guess…” It was a little unfair that he was getting spoken down to by someone who had money and friends to support him when he had nothing himself. He needed the stories to have some faith that things will change maybe for the better.

“Someone might want the power I can offer and use me that way. I don’t need to own anything for someone wanting a Frost Demon to do their dirty work because they acted nice to them”, he sighed, “Like a mercenary without pay with added manipulation…” He wasn’t happy thinking about it, knowing he was going to have to watch out for people who might not want to be his friend but want to use him instead. Arriving into the kitchen he was confused by the offer to pick his own meal, but not having the opportunity before he was going to ask for something that was core in his diet. Finding the request being granted easily gave him a little bit of hope that maybe he might like it here. Entering the kitchen himself he decided to move towards the counter, holding onto it as he tried to find that moment of relief after walking so much. “…Nervous? I-I’m not nervous, I’m just, uhh…anxious, I guess. I’ve never had the opportunity to get a free meal other than stealing it”.

Viral’s mood was not getting any better even when he could see Aito was not going to be harmed by him, his mind not willing to take the defeat and accept that he can’t follow the order. He was trying but he was also not finding it easy to keep it together, unable to accept defeat against the man who created him. Charging straight at Aito he used his horns as his first primary weapon, managing to use his weight to force Aito back but unable to pierce him, instead his head tossed before he tried to throw his claws down at the man. Snarling as he swung his arms around in a vicious fashion, Viral soon made a jump back before forward again, his attacks getting even more erratic as he relentlessly threw his claws again as if trying to catch Aito’s legs to tear them off first. He was angry that he wasn’t getting anywhere and was trying every possible way to get through to him, even if it was Aito he was trying to tear apart.

"Heh, wow squirt, I'm surprised you know what 'mutant' even means!" Takeshi teased with a grin, "I don't think there was a single person upset about us killing that thing, so we should be fine. Weird though, I wonder how something that big got into the lake..." Things like that didn't really just grow big on their own, at least he didn't think so. Usually big fish were in big water, water far larger than the lake they had found it swimming in. "Hey, if we can eat the monsters after then I'm all for fighting them! We probably gotta start thinking about food soon anyways, I don't know how much we got left. Do you figure the Uuonians might have some they can give us?" They had been attacked and all, but Takeshi figured their stores of food ought to be alright. Plus it was a huge world anyways, and far as they knew there was only that one city; realistically speaking there was more than one, but they had never seen the others.

Slight problem there with T'charrl, hating the water and all. This whole discussion was about a fish, and there was only one place you really found fish: water. Takeshi hadn't really thought about their friend's aversion until now, definitely seeing some problem there. If the guy wanted to he could just sit by and watch, he didn't really need to fight, not when it took only three of them before to kill one. "There's probably all kinds of things on Uuonoe, just waiting for us to eat them!" Takeshi mused, smiling brightly as he rubbed his hands together, "Probably loads of stuff that doesn't even go in the water, you know? I'm sure if we went outside of the city a bit we could find tons of creatures to hunt, and I bet they'd be just as yummy!"

"I suppose asking someone to look at a story objectively isn't easy, especially when it might concern your people," Vegeta admitted with a dismissive shrug, "There's nothing wrong with drawing inspiration from them, but it can be dangerous if you try to swear your life by them, especially if what you were told isn't the truth. Far as I'm concerned following a false hero is as bad as not having one." That was when caring mostly for yourself came in handy, you didn't really need to look to others for an idol or hero. For him personally it had saved him from some disappointments, particularly when he learned of the man whom he got his name from. His father he could draw inspiration from because he knew the man, his mother too, but those who he only heard of in stories he'd hold his reservations.

"You do realize we all are fighters, don't you? And that we fought that monster without your help?" Vegeta asked rhetorically, "Not for nothing but we don't need your power, we have our own. You'd be a welcome addition, but you wouldn't be a tool to us. Take T'charrl for instance, he can heal all of us if we told him to, but I believe we've used that ability all of once since meeting. Just because someone may prove to be useful in some way doesn't mean we're going to exploit that, or even utilize it. Whatever you do in this group is of your own accord, we don't make each other do anything." Carrying on with the meal preparation Vegeta placed the filet in a pan, throwing in some oil and placing a screen over it to hold in spits as he began to fry the fish. The potato was easy enough to handle, just some thin slicing and another pan to cook them in a manner similar to the fish; vegetables would be cooked last and likely steamed, as he hated burned greens. "Nervousness and anxiousness are practically synonymous, so yes, you are nervous. There's no reason to be, there's no catch or anything with this," Vegeta said, grabbing the potatoes and tossing them into a pan, "As I said, we're going to get you food and I'm doing precisely that, no funny business."

Viral's aggression was certainly higher than expected, as he fought with almost reckless abandon. If he had his wits about him then this might be a far more dangerous duel, the Beastman had plenty of weapons to try and harm his creator. Aito didn't need to expend very much energy on this effort and he intended to end it soon enough if no visible changes took place; if Viral was far too feral to connect the dots then he saw no reason to go on, especially when it was visibly causing problems. Watching the Beastman sadly as he moved back, Aito vanished when he was swiped at, simply reappearing where he had been just a second ago, shaking his head slowly. This wasn't going to work, or if it was it would be impossible to tell until Viral was calm. Taking a step forward his image faded a little, reaching up and grabbing Viral by the neck, trying to sweep a leg out from under him and knock him to the ground to pin him. Once the Beastman was down he removed his hand from his neck, sitting on his chest as he pinned both arms with his feet and held his head down by the horns to keep him from lashing. "Yumi, please try to calm him, this has gone on long enough."

"Oh... Uh, right!" What had even been the point of that? It certainly hadn't made Viral any better, in fact Yumi would say agitating him only made things worse, much worse. Watching her friend warily for a moment she walked around to his head, giving the pair a wide enough berth as not to be lashed out at. Once she stood before Viral she knelt down, smiling sadly as she placed her hands on either side of his head. "It's okay Viral, Aito's not going to hurt you," she said gently, closing her eyes as she leaned down and placed her forehead on his, "It's alright... You just need to relax now, okay? Take a deep breath, you're fine..." She played an important role here in acting as Viral's controller so to speak, but she still felt quite inadequate in doing so. Was this all she was going to be from now on, just something to keep around to calm down her friend? It wasn't a bad job and she knew it to be necessary, but when everyone else was probably going to be traveling and helping people she felt a little useless being stuck here.

“Well…they kept calling me that when I was locked away, so I asked Mister Viral. I don’t think I am a mutant though…even if I don’t look like the other Saiyans”, Shu spoke as he pressed his fingers together before he sighed, trying to get his mind off it, “Hopefully no monster we might get will be poisonous! I don’t want to get sick. I am happy being nice and healthy thank you. We need food for going so maybe they be nice, but who knows! Maybe rebels give us food”. He was sure they weren’t going to leave them struggling with food after doing what could only be described as heroic deeds for others, but he wasn’t going to make them give food to them. Maybe the rebels could help, otherwise they would have to go on the hunt and try and find all the food they can get.

T’charrl hoped he wasn’t going to be a pain to others when he was supposed to be able to hang out with them without any problem, but from the sounds of it they really wanted to go and get some fish and fight some fishy monsters too. He couldn’t handle that and knew if he got too wet he’d end up in a lot of trouble. He would get waterlogged very quickly and the pressure would be too much for him to handle when he would be under stress. His planet had very little water on the surface luckily for him and water underground could be sensed. He felt like he was hurting his chances to be part of the gang by being such a coward around dangerous environments when they were the ones who were fearless no matter the environment. “Uhhh you can still go to the water to find monsters if you want to do that. You don’t need to change your plans for me. I can get on by myself so you can have fun”.

Kiton was a little upset that he was being told he was wrong about the stories, the feeling akin to being told you were wrong to believe in better outcomes when most stories had good outcomes. He wasn’t a child for believing in such things, even if he was young. “I know, I won’t…I mean, I’m not like that. I’m not an idiot…”He was just making a fool of himself by talking about such things. He was supposed to be an awful outlaw Frost Demon, not some wimpy kid who believed in stories. This guy probably saw him as stupid and unable to see through false stories, being naïve beyond words.

Hearing Vegeta’s tone really made him feel as if he was an idiot, his expression dropping as he turned fully to the counter. Even if he was small he was still able to reach it comfortably, his legs in a lot of pain but still managing to keep him up. “It’s great that you don’t, I suppose…” he sighed, looking towards him a little, “I’m just worried, I guess. I don’t know any of you people and…healing? Why am I not getting healed by him or are you still holding that ‘criminal’ stuff against me? I can’t tell how anybody feels about me and having to put up with this pain while being helped just…confuses me. I’ve never received such hospitality before”. The food was already starting to smell delicious, his anticipation for a good meal being high the entire time he found out he was going to have to eat. He didn’t actually think he was going to get quality food given his status on the ship. Looking over to Vegeta he sighed as he was corrected, his eyes soon going to the pill bottle in his hand. “It’s just hard to believe. In this situation, prison food has been the norm. The fact I don’t even have any bonds makes me feel out of place. I don’t think you’d understand, though”.

Viral just wanted to see Aito defeated by him, but then again he didn’t really know what he wanted. He was full of anger and losing his mind all too quickly and Aito was doing nothing to help make him calm down and think clearly. He was trying to strike him with everything he had and by the time he swiped Aito had vanished and reappeared, his eyes only focusing back on him when he came back. Seeing his expression he let out an angry snarl, pushing a foot forward to make another leap straight for him but soon his neck was bound by Aito’s hand and a hard knock against his legs forced him to the ground with a hard thump. Wincing, Viral tried to lash out yet again but Aito instead sat on him, his arms being pinned to the floor and his horns grabbed the moment he tried to sit up.

Roaring angrily, Viral tried desperately to get up, his feet kicking up angrily and his tail trying to slap Aito away. He couldn’t reach him with this frame and with the built up pressure he was just furious without any way to relieve the stress. With his head pressed against the floor he couldn’t move it, even as Yumi leaned down before him and rested her forehead on his. Finding it incredibly difficult to move he could only stare with stress and anger in his eyes, Yumi’s words only managing to find their way to him as the pressure on his chest made it hard to make angry noises. Twitching an ear he continued to stare up, but soon his angered and confused glare turned into a drained stare, his feral state gradually being replaced by a defeated, exhausted form.

Oops, kind of killing the mood with that one, probably best to move off of that whole discussion. "Of course they're gonna give us food, why wouldn't they? I mean we helped out when Uuonoe was attacked, so I bet they'll be throwing food at us," Takeshi replied with a grin, "In fact, I doubt we'll even have to ask. If we want food I bet they'll just go ahead and give it to us." Maybe that was a little fanciful thinking, as no one was going to wait on them hand and foot regardless of what they might do. Besides, even if they weren't handed food they planned on hunting anyways, so it wasn't as if they were going to go without. It would be more fun hunting too, and it was a pretty safe bet they were going to do that regardless; was T'charrl going to be joining them on the hunt though? "Well... If we hunt things that aren't in the water then you can hunt with us, right?" Takeshi asked eagerly, "So you can come hunt with us, no way are we making you sit alone while we go have fun, that's not cool, you know?"

"I bet there's ton of stuff we could go and hunt too," Haku added, smiling slightly as he wrung his hands together nervously, "Uh... Maybe something not so big though? I mean... We can definitely find a lot of small things, that would work too, I'd think." That way they weren't having to fight anything massive or threatening; after their encounter with the monster on Namek he was just about all set with giant animals for a while. Really he would be fine with just little things, so long as he got to go along for the hunt instead of being left behind.

Vegeta wasn't trying to come across as an ass, he just wanted to teach Kiton to know the difference between fantasies and reality. It was well intentioned, but he knew he really wasn't coming across as that. All of his work with Viral had left him more exhausted than he though, and right now he was pretty much hanging on threads with regards to his sympathy. Letting out a sight he shook his head, getting the last of the food in place to cook before going about washing his hands and the utensils. "I know you're not an idiot, I never said you were. Even intelligent people can make mistakes, that's all, I know I'm certainly prone to them. I guess just exert a certain degree of caution is all. And I don't mean towards us, as I've said, there's no reason to be afraid of us." The only single person Kiton may need to worry about was Viral, and that was only due to the unpredictable nature of his condition; with the Beastman being cured there wouldn't be a single person in this group who might threaten the Frost Demon.

"I suppose it's reasonable to be afraid of strangers, and as for T'charrl's healing he needs energy to perform it," Vegeta explained, turning to face Kiton as he leaned against the counter, "He borrows energy from the person he's working on to heal them, or someone around them. If I had to make a guess he uses that energy to mend their body, kind of how the Namekian did it. Only in the Namekian's case they can use their own energy, where it seems like... Maybe T'charrl's own isn't compatible." A lot of conjecture there, but he had been wondering why the same process worked differently for two people. It made sense when explained that way, as the Namekians used Ki like them whereas T'charrl used his own energy. "Well... Hospitality is what a decent person gives someone, stranger or not. You were injured when we found you, we won't well leave you there to die," Vegeta said in a matter-of-fact attitude. Looking at the Frost Demon for a moment he smiled slightly,

Watching Viral lash out so blindly was fairly painful to witness, if only because Aito knew the conflict it must be causing. Viral would never do this normally, something was seriously wrong if this was how he reacted. Even if he had been given the order to attack before it would have been in a more collected, controlled manner, not this vicious lashing out. Seeing no purpose in provoking the Beastman further he promptly pinned Viral down, getting Yumi to come over and do her part. Watching as Viral gradually came down from the rampage he smiled with relief, glad that his plan actually worked; he'd never really seen Yumi exert that influence before, certainly not to this degree, so the fact that it worked this time was a welcome relief.

"You can't kill me Viral, not this time, so don't worry about it," Aito said gently, releasing the Beastman as he got off of him, "If I felt that I was in any real danger I wouldn't be doing this alone, I've no desire to go back to Otherworld so soon. Trust me, I'm not an idiot, I know what the threshold is here and what is and isn't safe." It was why despite wanting to work alone he was bringing Yumi along, she was the buffer between them. If Viral were to go on a rampage again it wasn't a question of whether he could stop the Beastman or not, but what kind of damage might be done in the process. Having Yumi not only kept him from having to fight Viral, but with luck meant that they would never reach that point again. Looking over at the aforementioned girl he noted her dejected look, hardly fooled by the small smile she wore as she saw to Viral. "You're an integral part to his recovery, you know that right? Without you he may not get better, take pride in that. You are in effect saving someone's life here, that's not something to be sad about."

She knew that, what a big part that she was playing here with Viral. That wasn't the problem persay, it was more that it was the only thing she seemed to be now. What would she do once Viral did recover? There didn't seem to be a ton of options, and she really didn't know what she might offer. Vegeta was smart, he could help the others and pilot ships, plus build all kinds of things to help them out; Choi and Kai were excellent cooks, they made sure that everyone was well fed; T'charrl could heal them and was one of the strongest fighters, and Shu and Takeshi were in a way the pair that brought this whole group together, but what about her? It made her feel awfully out of place in regards to the rest, and she was sure even those who were new to their team had more to offer. At best she could be there as support, but what could she really do otherwise? Nodding her head silently she began to help Viral get to his feet, pausing and looking at Aito confused when he put a hand on her head.

"You're a martial arts expert, aren't you? I remember you always loved to train in it as a child, and I know you've spent some time training since then," Aito said, smiling as he rubbed Yumi's head before taking his hand back, "When this is said and done I'm sure there are some people who might need training. You've got some intimate knowledge that others don't about how to fight, and I'm sure you'd be able to teach them. Who knows, it may be time for you to become an instructor yourself." That made her lighten up a little, but it would probably take a little longer until she was perked up again. Looking at Viral he reached out and helped steady him as well, glancing up at the Beastman apologetically. "I hope that proved my point, but now I know where our work will start. Shall I explain so you've some idea, or shall I spare you the boring exposition?"
