We need more ladies, so if anyone's working on characters, please let them be of the fairer sex. Otherwise poor Sabine (*nudges Silver and clears throat in an obvious manner*) will have a sausage fest on her hands...

I first heard it on Top Gear - it's the name of a German racing driver. I really liked it, so I've nicked and used it here, and in other places too. If it is in Fable 3, then that's a coincidence - I haven't played any of them yet, but I do plan to at some point.

Yes, sorry. They are all fine so far. I meant to do more today, but the site dropping out for a few hours and then coming back up just in time for me to go to bed threw me off :P
I was going to have Sabine be the leader, as it makes it easier, but I might delegate the role to someone else. I'll have a think about it when I'm not in as much of a hurry.

Based on my experience from Silver's GEARs RP on the old site (A sci-fi, mecha RP), knowing the gritty details of tech and military are just bonuses, and not required to play. Look at me, I'm just a 16 year old dude. What sort of first-hand experience am I supposed to have in military tactics? . After all, he did mention that he thought it wasn't fun if everyone kept screaming at each other for doing something that doesn't match up with the real world military logic. All you really need is Google, and searching the right keywords to make sure that what you write is (at the very least) possibly realistic. I mean, that's what I did back then XD.

Also Silver, I made some edits to my character's normal appearance and changed his theme music to something a little more fitting. I hope you don't mind :)

Yeah, you don't need to have masses of experience or understanding. I'm not expecting academic levels of knowledge, and they're no replacement for interest or excitement in the plot and the setting anyway. The rest of us are happy to help you out, and you've said you're more than willing to look for yourself as well, which counts for a lot.
I'm more interested in people having fun and enjoying things, rather than everything being 100% realistic and accurate, just so long as it stays at a comfortable level, and things don't get too silly or OP, but I can't see anyone who's here causing that kind of issue :)

Right, all the characters have been added to the OP, and that's as many as I'm accepting for now. I've pretty much got the idea sorted for the first mission and what it'll lead us into. I won't be able to get the in-character up tonight, but I'll endeavor to get it up tomorrow evening UK time so we can begin.
In terms of who's leader, I won't have Sabine be in charge this time, if someone else wants to step up to the plate? Put your suggestions forward, and whoever asks first can have the job. And if everyone else doesn't like it (in character or out, once we start), then it can always change.
There'll be an NPC you'll get your briefings and missions from, and who will support you in the field - a Colonel Campbell sort of figure for those of you who've played MGS, a senior military officer, who's a fatherly sort, but has a tough side if pushed, and is very knowledgeable. Someone you can count on, basically.

Larry might step up to be leader if no one wants to, having been leader of the Desert Wolves for a good period of time. It will probably only be temporary though, but we'll see how things go along.

Naganori's definitely not cut out to be a leader. He's more of the type who follows orders and gets things done at any cost, and is not inspirational in any way XD.

I'm fine with Larry being the leader though, it would make sense given his past experience being in charge of a unit (and Jack-Of-All-Trades status). The rest of the characters don't seem like leader-material. They're either loose cannons or rookies (or in Jack Smith's case, too easygoing). At the moment, Larry does seem like the best option. It would also give him the opportunity to see how he copes with being a leader again after losing the Desert Wolves :).

Haha, just imagine the briefing with "Runner" as the leader...

Col. Campbell: "Alright Blaze, here is your team leader. He has one mission as a leader on his track record, during which the entire team was captured, tortured, and killed. We're counting on you, team!"

YAY I DON'T HAVE TO BEAT YOU ALL INTO SHAPE FOR ONCE!

My character is pretty good at following orders, actually, as she was a Special Forces soldier, and a damn good one at that. Generally speaking, you don't get to be in the best of the best if you don't play well with others, or do what you're told xD
"He never follows orders, and he keeps arguing with all the CO's. He's impossible to work with, I'm not even sure why he joined the Army, if he has such an authority problem"
"MY GOD, he's perfect for our elite unit!"
"...what the hell is wrong with you?"
"I'm trying to get fired."
