"Why there aren't anything to eat here!?" Akaya muttered, giving up the search on ingredients to cook safe-to-eat food. Suddenly, he heard a car pulling into a driveway. He decided to attempt to hide under the table, hoping the people who decides to go near the table doesn't notice him.

Amanda came skipping down the stairs and opened the door.

"Thanks for bringing pizza, Mom." She chirped.

"It's no problem, Sweetie." Her mother chuckled, setting the pizza on the table and opening the box.

"Guys! The pizza's here!"

They ate in silence. Nothing much, Amanda's knee came close to Akaya's side. The other 2 weren't close to his body at all.

"That's my phone!" Jess picked up her phone and left the table.

Akaya kept hiding under the table. Although a leg almost touched him, nobody actually managed to find him. Suddenly, he heard a phone ringing and saw the girl whose parent would bring poisoned cheesecakes according to the boy himself going away from the table. "I can't leave here, but I need to stop her parents too..." he thought.

"I feel like Mr. J just doesn't like kids in general."

"Yeah, which is weird because he went into teaching on his own money. You'd think he'd spend it on something he was at least OK with."

The sleepover proved to be a bit hard for Akasa in terms of staying unseen. There were a few close calls but he made it to Sunday. Amanda was safely at home and getting ready for their date that was going to happen shortly.

Which was exactly what she was going to do. Ate she was ready, she started to head out to their meeting place, the fountain in the town's plaza. She was wearing a light blue sundress with matching accessories. She texted him that she will meet him at their normal spot as she walked towards the plaza.

"I wonder what we'll do today." She thought out loud.
