Character Name: Julius Henry
Age: 24
Profession: Student (Doctorate)

Background: From Britain originally but studying his doctorate in the US to broaden his knowledge from British-centric history. Lived alone in a flat knowing very few people in the US; had a few friends but largely spent his time working furiously towards his PhD. Works part time as an archivist in a university campus library, meaning he spends pretty much his entire life in one.

Description: 5'10", 170lbs. His hair is a platinum blond colour, appearing white in most lights, and is in fact his natural hair colour. He is clean shaven almost all the time, finding even short facial hair to be uncomfortable. Julius dresses simply with deep blue jeans, unmarked, and a varying mix of shirts with large chequered patterns, usually of a white background with varying shades of blue or green lines. When colder weather strikes he has a knee-length black wool and cashmere great coat but generally eschews jumpers and other warmer garments as he finds he overheats even in mild weather.

His eyes are stormy grey colour, warm and friendly but always considering things around him in a thoughtful way which can make him appear to be dazed or inattentive. He has a strong build, athletic but not wildly muscular. Although he spends little time in the gym itself he will often go cycling or jogging for leisure and plays badminton competitively and swims with the team at the university although he does not have the ability to compete.

Story Overview

This story takes place millions of years from now. At some point in the future technology began to force an evolution into mankind. We began to become symbiotic with it. Nanites floated through the bodies of many throughout the known territories. But there were purists that opposed this “infection” of technology that plagued their time and they turned away from it, seeking to find a balance and harmony with the universe. Sarulians was the name they took to calling themselves.

Many centuries and millennium past and mankind became truly one with technology. Their bodies now produced a natural EM field that allowed them to interact with electronics with just a touch. Technology as a whole changed and the Valorian Empire was formed. It wasn't an empire of land, but of minds. All though the Valorians were able to communicate mentally by touch and through their technology over range, eons of genetic habit make verbal communication the preference when in close company. They retained a human physic but over time shortened, during the period we will be posting the average Valorian is 5’6” and the tallest wouldn't reach 6’.

While this was happening the Sarulian purists became one with their environment and evolution had a decidedly different direction for them. They grew both spiritually and physically. (Think Ronso http://i670.photobucket.com/albums/vv67/Golbez01/Ronso.jpg ) Minus the horn and with a much more human face. They became very Shamanistic and the color of their fur is dependent upon the tribe. There are nine total tribes. The Sarulian began to understand the natural elements of nature and how to control them and in time they became very powerful, each tribe devoting themselves to their own specific element. Through collaboration they were able to combine elements and create powerful ships and technology, a match of the Valorians.

What ensued was a civil war that has lasted for hundreds of thousands of years and has consumed four galaxies. The concept of a “whole human” is forgotten in the myths and legends and all notions that the two races were in the past truly one no longer exists. The war has gone badly for the Valorians; and if not for the infighting between the Sarulian tribes they would have been wiped out a long time ago. Now they have only a small territory hidden deep in a remote corner of the Pegasus galaxy. They use this as a home base to make raids against the various Sarulian tribes with.

In the midst of this turmoil a freak of nature throws a wild card into this divided and war torn universe. A rift opens in the desert of a remote planet dumping out a handful of humans from the year 2015.

The above is a very brief overview of the situation our group would be plunged into. The story would open with a survivalist experience before the group is plunged into chaos of the situation of that time, part of the reason for this is to allow some character growth and bonding before stuff hits the fan. The mouth of the worm hole that sucks the group through time and space opens in times square and sucks up people at random, as a result the group doesn't know each other and is completely unprepared for what they are about to encounter.

Profession: Investment Banker

Background: Originally from upstate New York, Greg moved to DC to try and get into politics, after that failed he found he had an eye for stocks and moved to New York and ended up working for a major firm as an investment banker.

Description: 6’3” 210lbs. In high school he was on the swim team and currently visits the gym every other week so he is relatively athletically fit. Black hair normally in a corporate cut and has blue eyes.

Name: Sophia Colt
Age: 27
Profession: Career Waitress/Struggling Actress
Description: 5'7" 145lbs. She has short, light brown hair which is usually styled, a front piece pinned neatly to the side. The front is longer, coming down to her collar bone, where as the back would align with her chin. During interviews and auditions, shes named her eyes as her best feature, a set of crystal green gems stand out on her tan skin. She certainly hasn't followed the 'actors diet', though she does try to keep her curves in check with regular workouts.

I'll get a post up tomorrow (maybe even later tonight). One of my longer days at work so I'm low on the creative front - tomorrow's a lot shorter so I should be okay then!

I spent 74 minutes standing on a train just outside my stop... I could have climbed out of the doors and walked there in about five minutes. That was yesterday; today the trains ran on time and I got home early (and it's a shorter day due to 'staff training hour' also known as 'quiz, coffee/tea and biscuits hour')!

Also I wanted to ask how both of you felt about being directed by me occasionally. I don't have every detail planned out not even a handful of things. But occasionally I have an idea and I might need to ask you to include something in your posts. This wont happen often. I really want this to be a collaborative story, but so were not wandering across thr universe We'll need to have some kind of route in mind. I promise though that anything I may ask you to include or anything I write your characters doing I will try to keep to a minimum. And if I ask you to include something that you don't like or doesn't feel right, tell me and we'll find another way. same goes if I write your character doing something you feel is out of place, I'll rewrite it. I'm gonna do my best to NOT drive this story but to instead nudge it here and there along the path I have in mind, which is actually pretty vague.

I only have a handful of major and minor plot points in mind at the moment and as long as we hit em I'll be happy. So feel free to be as creative with the environment and situations as you want. Just for the moment don't create anything sentient or humanoid. I have a very specific spot in mind where I want to introduce both the Sarulians and the Valorians.

Also I know I mentioned this to one of you, I eventually want to create a novel based off of this. you'd bith get credit, depending on how involved you were possibly co-author status. Depends if you can stay till its complete. I don't have any time line in mind presently and I'm in no rush to get through the story. Take your time and just be creative with your characters and with the story.

Lol but I'm 30, female, born and raised in ny, just a 20 min boat ride from the city :p I just moved to Florida with my fiance in December.

My time to write is limited. You may see me on during the day, but I'm usually at work, just checking in on things. I gm another rp, however I promise to be as active here as I can. :)

Oh, and I don't mind at all. I do prefer an organic evolution, but as a gm, I do understand the need to manipulate once in a while

Yeah I don't mind minor character controlling as long as it's for a reason (i.e. plot development/skipping unnecessary filler posts).

i'm honestly not in a rush to work on this. if you guys need time off or some extra time to post that's fine. if this thread takes years to finish so be it. Just as long as you're both committed i'm happy.
