The old man known as Alonos, Greek for Light, has invited everyone to the Phoenician Hotel in Phoenix, Arizona. Everyone awoke mysteriously, as if from a dream, with their old lives alive inside them. Their powers are included already, but the old man cautioned everyone to be careful and try to be low key as possible before arriving. Alonos states that he will inform everyone of what they need to know about their powers, and although everyone has them already, Alonos can make learning about their powers much quicker. It would be impractical for us to carry on our own business if we just decided to ignore what he said.
Reincarnation Wars!!!
In 2015, the world is in chaos. Political events, ethnic strife and terrorism infests much of the planet. However, there are people who still live their hum drum lives like nothing is happening. That's probably you and I, and most people in the West. However, we are people who have one thing in common, both you and I know now, after having awakened from a strange dream, from visions and words from an old man that we are the Prime Ego. . . persons who have been born and reborn over different dimensions and life spans into entirely different personalities, bodies and strengths. Not to mention weaknesses. However, the Old Man gave us dire warnings. We must speak with him in Phoenix, Arizona, the Phoenician Hotel. The Hotel will be all to ourselves, all one hundred of us, because we will have more in store for us than we can come close to understanding. This old man refuses to answer any other name than "Alonos".
FAQ:
Q: What do these terms you keep using mean?
A: Here's some terminology for you. Note the capitalization of these terms.
Primary Ego: The lucky (or unlucky) individual whose past lives (Souls) have been Awakened.
Souls: Your past lives, usually referring to those that have been Awakened, but sometimes including those that are still dormant. Despite the terminology used, the Primary Ego and his Souls are technically all one soul in the typical sense of the word.
Awakened: A state of being, used of Souls. An Awakened Soul is sapient and aware, and can manifest powers and abilities it knew in life.
Spirits: The individual minds/consciousnesses of the Primary Ego and his or her Awakened Souls. Although these start out as entirely separate consciousnesses sharing the same headspace, so to speak, in many cases these individual Spirits will eventually fuse together into a single composite Spirit. However, while for some this may take only a few hours, for others it may take years or never happen at all.
Q: What are the Incarnae?
A: The Incarnae are powerful and mysterious beings, along the lines of sufficiently advanced aliens or gods. They are immortal, and despite appearing human in order to interact with the heroes, they are actually very alien. The Incarnae possess the ability to Awaken within ordinary beings the Spirits of their past lives, known as Souls.
Basic Formatting:
Always use quotation marks to indicate character speech. Italics are for emphasis and thoughts.
I use bold to make character dialog (including thoughts, of which internal dialogs consist) stand out against the rest of the text, but this is not a rule.
Choosing Colors:
When choosing colors to represent different characters, please try to find colors that are easy to read / easy on the eyes. Eyeburners like lime and cyan should be avoided, and you should never use yellow.
You may also wish to consider whether you will be using "spoiler blue" or "quote beige" as the standard background for mental exchanges, which may affect color visibility. (As you can see, I like to use "quote beige", but that's just personal preference.)
Soul Chatter:
With so many characters under the control of each player, many of whom are unfamiliar to other players, simply using colors to distinguish who's talking isn't enough. I strongly suggest the use of script tags to further denote who is 'speaking' during internal dialogs. Furthermore, all but the shortest mental exchanges should be placed inside spoilers. Note also that you are not required to use italics for character thoughts that are tagged and spoilered in this manner.

Characters will be investigating Malignatis Portals. . . portals which defy the supernatural rules of the universe. Malignatis portals are less effective against lesser beings like player characters, but are dangerous to Incarnae.
