The world has ended, live is dieing, people are being killed left and right with no order.. from their fellow humans... from other strange creatures.

A group of people, have earned the power of a Demi-god, each one has their own purposes and desires. Yet they are also the last hope for the world to be born anew, for everything to be returned to the way it should be. Only one can take the crown to join the next level and become a true deity... when one has they can remake the world as they wish. None of these people have learned exactly how to do this, or where to go.. some form alliances, while others go solo.. searching the ruins of the world to discover the true path.. the true cost to remake the world.

Sorry if it's vague or strange, just came up with this randomly when i was looking at my games, thought it could be awesome, an action adventure.. with people on the levels of demi-gods so it'll be some insane fights and abilities. of course to a certain level, there is a limit to even what demi-gods can do. but they are immortal in terms of aging. Note: They all became demi-gods at the same time.. when the world ended, i'll have a time when it goes to OOC.

Dude, totally into myth based roleplays amd armageddon. My question is would the demigods be fighting each other for the spot (there can be only one! -Highlander heh) or would these de.igods be fighting a common enemy?

well if i said what then it would ruin bit of the story because they have to figure it out.. but o well lol, it'll be a kind of mix.. there indeed can only be one. but some may team up to take on others who they couldn't otherwise and etc. hense the common enemy thing. Though there is what caused the apocalypse to begin with, so they might have to deal with enemies that could be as powerful as them besides each other.

The rp centers around, action, adventure, and story. who knows maybe some of the demi-gods will get bit of a love interest lol, everyone seems to prefer the non-sci-fi roleplays so i hope this can get some nice action in.

Okay so it is a lot like succession wars of old times, various groups or houses take on one another for their candidate for supremacy, I like. Yea, no spoilers on the plot line! Lol I didn't mean for you to show your hand early, I just wanted to know if it would be demigod vs demigod or demigods vs. The enemy. The first is awlways more traumatizing to the character, maybe having to kill someone that they once called friend.

Since they're demigods, what mythology are you thinking of using for the theme? And what kind of world, was it a present-day earth or past?

ya i do undersand that, well like i said it probably going to be a mix for one reason or another.

Well i wasn't thinking about focusing on a specific mythology, one reason is because not all demi-gods would follow under a mythology. so it would be more of a merge of mythologies along with some unexplained things, one reason is because i don't want to leave something's out because i choose one mythology over another. When the world ended, at the event itself (which i hadn't really decided it or the time line yet) specific people across the world would of been affected by the event, which caused their bodies to develop and change, Their powers, and everything would of been developed from their personalities at that time, their thoughts and everything. Basically everything that made them unique would influence their Demi-God Abilities.

That also includes their interests, like if they was more interested in a certain mythology it could affect their 'true form' which is created when they become a Demi-god, which not all Demi-Gods need to be originally humans.

All demi-gods will have some specific abilities that are the same. They can't Age anymore, They regenerate easier than normal people so if they lose an arm it can regrow back after so long (Not Instantly unless that is part of their specialty), breathing isn't a requirement but a comfort. and some similar things like these.

So it's a universal event that affects every being? So we could be fighting an insanely strong wolven soldier that is intelligent? =0 that would be shweet hehe

Okay so it would be any mythology or lore we would want to use for our character and their aspect. Now you say true form, does that mean our character would have a separate appearance when fighting? And do you want certain mythologies to be represented?

I really do like that you don't want to limit which mythology the rp will use. Will there be a launch location or wherever our character is when the event takes place?

yes pretty much, everything mixed together for insanity, action packed, epicness.

By true form, i mean some beings under certain mythologies have a different form. Example: The Egyptian mythology deities usually have an animal type head along with a human body. While others have themselves being bigger and fully armored out of no where and etc... Now of course all the demi-gods can change their appearance, to fit what ever they wish, but only in their true form will they be at full power, which would be dangerous near humans, because they might be killed by their presence. Not to mention some Deities have special weapons that they created or had someone create for them.

When the event happens their bodies will be changed to fit this form. Which could turn one who was originally human into a Huge beast, or maybe turn what was a creature into a humanoid/human appearance. which again will depend on the character themselves.

There is a high chance depending on amount of people, a big chunk or all mythologies may be represented. now i personally don't know everything about every mythology so i can't speak about everything. i mainly know of Greek/Roman, Norse, and Egyptian.

hm.. lol you are very thorough which i like some. hm.. i don't have everything planned out as of yet, like the launch location or anything, though i should before to long, hopefully. If this can make it i'd be happy as heck, though i do have planned the beginning of the roleplay to take 2 years after the event. so they've had 2 years to get use to their new bodies, which some could of just not understood what was happening and complete avoided anything to do with what happened so lol.

For powers themselves, i will judge what will be allowed and not. mainly because can't have something that is entirely Unfair against everyone else, some may end up being a little unbalanced but it wont be entirely one sided if they was to run into each other.

I getcha. Some of these characters are going to be hardcore, like if i made a character imbued with the essence of Quezecotoal - Aztec (sp?), he'd be a sun demigod that needed to eat the hearts of his enemy to become stronger lmao

Of course, over-powered characters is just asking for power-playing and bad blood between posters.

lol that is a bit creepy eating the hearts of his enemies.. lol.. i'll probably make a character that wasn't developed from a specific mythology but because of his own past, taking hints from the game that i saw that game me the first idea for this. DemiGod an AoS fighting game, probably read the Character histories on there to try to give me inspiration for my character. sense it's 8 Demi-Gods each created because of different reasons lol.

aye... which i don't mind insane battles that could destroy entire battle fields, but the main thing i just want is both sides have the same chance to win, so no one will just One-sided win everything. And just because if they lose doesn't mean they gotta die. They can escape weakened, or end up serving the winner so they'll still be in the rp and everything.

I hear you, but that kind of finality is what would make this roleplay great. Unfortunately, you're gonna need some more player traction if you want this battle royale.

it's just called Demigod, it's a fun nice little game with some awesome demi-god characters who fight in arena's multiple time as a contest sense they can't die or anything, in order to find out who is the winner and once one wins they get recreate as they wish.

ya, #1 hard part is attracting people, most people usually don't even look in interest check unfortunally. i normally have better luck when it goes to ooc, but not always.

Which in the roleplay i am going to have iconic mythology locations that the demi-gods can run into, of course some of the places will be fairly much empty like mount Olympus. there will be very few civilization areas left, maybe a small town here or there survived, but other wise places will be in mostly ruins, with some people trying to survive in those ruins, and not be discovered by the other inhabitants of the world... i think i got an idea of where to start the rp... specific location in the world no, but a general idea of the beginning surroundings for them about to search an ancient ruin.. either in a desert or dense rain forest.. hm.. (taps chin thinking)

I think it depends on how fleshed out the roleplay is before people start looking, but that may only be in the Advanced section. But I'm a little worried with how they're to run into each other if a character can change in any location on the planet.

well eventually they'll start most likely hunting for each other, and some may just sit and wait, for others to come to them.. though i could start it off where everyone works together and everything... then towards the end after they fight some powerful enemies, then they starting having to do what they must to be #1, which some will void their chance while others would just instantly attack. etc.... depending on the character's personalities.

At the start it's basically them trying to find out what happened to them, why this is going on, and for some if there is another level they can reach. which all leads them to the same ruins.

It might be better if you have one group of Demigods against another with a differemt agenda for the end. Such as one wants the demigods to have supremacy and the other just wishes for a full restoration of the world before the event. As for this idea, whose character would win? I'm sure posters would be pissed if they spend a lot of time and effort into this only to find that you're steering the contest into your favor. So ultimately even if your character legitamately won, it might still irk someone.

As for how they'll end up at the same location, maybe it could be almost like a shared dream? Each of the characters who are affected by the event would enter a sort of shared conscioussness where they are being told the rules of the battles to come by the current God, explaining that whoever won would be the successor to the Power. The actual ruins could an arena and the event lays a kind of compulsion over those involved to go.

lol, i guarantee any character i have probably wont end up matching up to the ideas others have. i would give my best run not give an easy win but wont mean my character would win. and that's technically if i have a character. i could just play some villains that they have to fight, my position depends on how many players we gain, if we good amount of players, then i wont need to have a character of my own because I'll be taking care of all the other details.

That is an interesting idea but.... that would 1. shorten the story, 2. turn it into just a simple arena battle royal, which isn't what i was planning. if we did that this rp wouldn't fit in the free section. and 3. i don't think there would be a current god or else he/she would just do what ever and wouldn't simply just give up their power.

Like i said there is meant to be, Action, Adventure, and Story. The Ruins is suppose to be where they learn or start to learn about what happened.. and i have a big surprised there, to give story. which if i said everything it just ruin it all.
