The Veiled Isles
The Veiled Isles are a group of islands located in the Sarein Strait. The islands include Valencia, Eltevi, and Manikka.
Valencia is the wealthiest of these island nations, where the trade of wine, spices, and silks thrives. The well-to-do citizens of this community live lavish, outdoor lifestyles, full of riches and entertainment, while the poor can barely feed themselves in the ever-growing slums of the island.
Valencia is torn between the power struggle of two sworn enemies: the Thieves’ Guild and the League of Assassins.
The Thieves’ Guild is a relatively new organization and embodies a free spirit. It sprang into existence less than a century ago when a band of thieves decided that working together would help them all. They also run the black market, where they sell their stolen goods. The Guild allows some of their allies to sell there as well. Their main headquarters is an abandoned warehouse located in the slums of the island, and the black market is situated in the abandoned warehouse next to the headquarters.
The League of Assassins is long-standing organization of trained and experienced killers. Their main priorities are following through with contracts and killing thieves that steal from League allies. The League was created centuries ago, when the ruling council of the island decided that they needed a police force and military. Their headquarters is a large, elegant building made of marble and gold located in the rich sector of the island. The colors of the League are red and white.
Never in a million years could anybody imagine the two even being civil to each other. But when an unexpected enemy from Eltevi threatens to conquer the Veiled Isles, the Guild and the League must decide if they will work together or die separately.
((technology would be like 1400-1500 ish but no guns))
General map:

The business district houses multiple establishments such as bakeries, inns, bars, restaurants, and permanent shops, as well as the Council Building. It is usually the wealthy that frequent in this area. The marketplace is filled with a myriad of vendors hawking their wares, from the common fishmonger to a merchant selling exotic spices.
The climate on the island is tropical (meaning lots of sun and lots of rain). Palm trees dot the coastline that hasn’t been cleared out for piers and wharves. The poor sector is a maze of old buildings made of wood and straw huts that the poor live in, while the rich sector is filled with elegant villas built in a slightly Spanish style (think Spanish haciendas with a little Greek influence in them). There are public fountains scattered around the island where rainwater is stored and made available for everyone to use, since there is no other source of freshwater.
