Wotan's Forest: The tallest and largest trees make their home in Wotan's Forest and the magical Lake of the Wode. If you stand beneath the mighty black trees, they seem so powerful and indestructible; The average height of the trees is 1,000 feet tall and roughly 40 feet in diameter. There are much taller trees, some as tall as 1.2 miles and several hundred feet in diameter. These trees are made of Iron Wood, which is nigh indestructible to nearly any attack. In the center of this vast forest is the Lake of the Wode.

At 3,200 square miles in size and an unknowable depth, Lake of the Wode is one of the largest and deepest lakes in the multiverse, renowned for its deep blue beauty. Sunset on the Lake of the Wode is magical and best appreciated from the eastern shore. The sun bathes the trees in bright colors, and reflects its light in the deep blue of the sacred lake, before sinking below the horizon.

The combatants are in a Pythagorean triple, 120 meters apart, each combatant is atop a 15-meter tall glass pillar. Between each pillar is a glass bridge that connects the pillars. The battleground is anywhere in a 500 by 500 meter area, with the Lake of the Wode on the western edge of the battleground.

In the center of the pillars is a large, wide tree stump. Lying on the stump is a fist-sized diamond. This is the Eye of Wotan. This can be used once by each fighter. Once it is used, it vanishes and returns to the stump.

The Eye of Wotan can negate any single attack that the holder wishes, regardless of preps used against it.

Just a warning. I am in the National Guard and have drill this weekend, from Saturday to Tuesday... which is awkward. So, my replies will be sketchy since I'll be camping out in the field with no electricity. However, I may be able to put together stuff on my phone, it'll just take time.

Also, I will limit Ryuku to only his Qi techniques for this fight. His Kuji-In will be nothing more than a ritual, like prayer or meditation, and offer no combative advantages.

You left some details to be expanded upon in your post. Such as specifically where exactly the kunai were headed. So I just filled in the gaps.

Also, I couldn't find on your character sheet where it state how tall she is. So, I just assumed she was shorter than Ryuku. If not then I can adjust details as needed.

Ah, my fault on that account. Remind me of Ryuku's height (although I am certain she is shorter unless he's a small person lol).

In his description it says just a couple inches over six foot. So, around 6'2.

She's a bit over 5'8.

Thanks haha, I'm glad you enjoyed it! You may have a bit of an advantage in terms of combat since I don't have any RL hand-to-hand combat experience. So there's that. Hopefully this will still prove to be a fun match~

Granted, I think Kaiu's ability to plan ahead, her high attention to detail, and her tendency to not only fight close range, but to set things up (as she is a kunoichi [which means she's a female ninja/assassin] from the narutoverse) should equalize that discrepancy somewhat :3

Also, I understand that he sort of whirled the staff behind him as he spun, but you didn't specify its position. Is it mostly horizontal, or slightly angled so it attempts to strike her wakizashi's blade away before she completes the stabbing motion? What is the staff's final position at the end of your post presuming the block works?

He is spinning on the ball of his left foot, which has been his lead foot the whole time. My apologies for not clarifying. Since the staff is in his left hand I pictured him sweeping the staff behind him as he spun. The staff remains vertical during the entire movement and still fairly close to his body, the end not far away from his left foot.

The staff isn't actually a block against the weapon, Ryuku's spin removed him from that danger. The purpose of the staff is to be placed there as a barrier, so that she just can't spin and swipe the blade at him.

Since you didn't clarify which side of her body the stab came from I wasn't exactly which way to spin.

The end result of his movement would be spinning out of the way while setting up a barrier to her blade, and striking out at the side of her head from her right and behind.

Hopefully that clears things up.
