I don't have much time before I go to work, so I shall make this as brief and to-the-point as I possibly can!

Apart from the period, the history, and the setting, this has nothing to do with the famous (or infamous) Starz original TV series; if that's what you thought, I apologise and you can go now.

For those still interested, hear me out!

Set during the rebellion of the Third Servile War, we shall be taking the role of Gladiators (or freed slaves, prisoners of war and so forth) initially from a ludus - not connected to the same one as Spartacus, but we'll get to him eventually - but then, as the RP continues, others freed from servitude will swell the ranks of the 'army'.

This RP, until the defeat of Spartacus anyway, will follow a pre-set path - so, yes, we will lose at the end. After that, if the RP survives that long/anyone retains interest that long, we might proceed into a wider RP using the same characters...or not.

Perhaps the best thing about this? Although I do expect 'advanced' at all times - quality of writing, profiles and the like - knowledge of history can be quite minimal. I know many people get put off of historical RP's for that very reason.

Please, feel more than free to ask questions, and I shall gladly expound on them.

Anyone willing to stand with me and shed a little Roman blood?
