A place filled with sand, sweltering heats and not-so-friendly locals. That was what Marine Team Beta was worried about. Not heatstroke, not dehydration and not getting lost. It was getting murdered by the local extremist group.
We thought we had exterminated the Osama bin Laden, leader of the terrorist group al-Qaeda back in 2011. We were wrong. He survived, and four years later, he detonated a nuclear device in the United States, on Independence Day . It was considered the worst terror attack since 9/11. Furious, the US government declared war on Iraq. We invaded that very year. It was intended to be a swift and decisive victory. But even with state-of-the-art technology, the Iraqis held their own.
May 5, 2017. The war still rages on in the Middle East, and a small team of six Marines have been deployed in order to investigate a suspected terrorist meeting point in a medium-sized village. But the villagers aren't happy with US military presence in their home, and Beta Team leaders felt something fly past his head.
