Aruna's tail whip strikes the ground and She lands. She pulls her tail from the dirt and snaps it so that with a slight SHINK it becomes a blade at the tip of her tail.
"What are you in these woods for? Because I can only think of one reason a..."
She looks the woman up and down.
"... City girl, like yourself would bother coming into a cursed wood..."
She readies her knife.
"You're here for the Phoenix aren't you?"

Aruna looks back down at the woman's shoes and sees that they are in fact smoking. She snaps her eyes down to her own feet and finds that they and also in the early stages of being eaten away.
"What the hell?"
The plants seem to be making a juice that dissolves their shoes as they walked. Aruna jumps up, spreads her wings and glides up to a tree branch.
