"That's not a raven, Gloin." Balin corrected the younger dwarf. "It's a thrush!"
Thorin looked up at the bird and smiled, nodding his head.
"Well, all the same, we'll take it as a good omen. That the worst is now behind us."

Bane looked at Serena when she frowned and muttered "I wish it was...I sense things are going to get worse from here..." She stood up, helping Bane to his feet but lost her footing and Bane caught her. "Lady Serena, you alright?" She nodded, rubbing her head. "Just a head rush...we haven't had much rest since we left...my body is reacting to that and the energy loss. I'll be alright"

Thorin's gaze turned worriedly to Serena when she fell. "We should find somewhere safe to rest, where the orc pack won't find us." he suggested, looking up at Gandalf. "Gandalf, you should know somewhere, shouldn't you?"

Gandalf nodded and said "I do...it's not far from here. Will you make it till then?" Serena smiled and said "don't worry about me, my friends...ill be fine" bane looked at Thorin, looking a little worried.

Thorin didn't seem quite as sure of believing Serena but they didn't very well have any other options, none of the dwarves could carry her the whole way and it probably wasn't wise for Bane to try doing so either.
"Then we should hurry." the dwarf prince urged. "Gandalf, lead the way."

"Bilbo!" Thorin called across to the hobbit. "Why don't you slip ahead and see if you can tell if the wargs have caught our scent yet." the dwarf prince suggested.
"Or which direction they're going in." put in Dwalin. "So we can run the other way!"

The dwarves waited anxiously for the hobbit to return, muttering quietly amongst themselves.

On the hills above them, Beorn stood in his bear form. His gaze was fixed on the warg pack, and he let out a furious roar. How dare they invade his lands.

After a few minutes they heard running and Bilbo popped out of the grass, running like mad. "Other way other way other way!" Serena and Bane both pulled their weapons and Serena said "run for it, we will hold them off, just get out of here"

"Did they see you?!" Dwalin asked the hobbit frantically.
"No!" Thorin growled. "We stay together, you are both injured and you should not be behaving so recklessly! Keep going! Gandalf, how far is this place?" he turned towards the wizard.

Bane shook his head and said "there's no time! Get moving! We will be right behind you we will just keep them off your tail!" Serena pulled her staff free and held it up, taking a deep breath. "Thorin...get moving..."

Bane growled but Serena said "Bane, get moving. Protect them from the back, I'll track them and be right behind you" Gandalf nodded and said "follow me" they headed off, Serena taking a higher path to keep an eye out, her staff glowing. She turned and saw the wargs and said "they must have caught our scent..."

Beorn's roar echoed towards the group as the large bear crashed through the undergrowth, heading straight for the group.
"RUN!" Thorin shouted, the dwarves all not needing to be told twice before they made a run for it after Gandalf.

Serena turned and saw the bear, pullin her blade free and muttered "two attacking forces...great" she jumped down in front of the bear and then faced the Wargs and said "I can only take one down..." She ran for the wargs, the, being the bigger risk to the company. She cut the first down, muttering softly and shadows jumping out and defending

The orc pack didn't stick around for long after Beorn made an appearance. They knew of the skinchanger and knew they would not get past him, so quickly retreated away to regroup and plan again. Beorn's attention was now completely on the group as he chased them down. As far as he was concerned, they were all intruders just like the orcs.

The dwarves fled as quickly as they could across the field, glancing back towards Serena.
"What are you doing, RUN you fool!" Thorin hollered back at her. "You can't seriously think you can fight that thing?!"

She looked back and said "not to win no...but I can buy you time! Bane, get them to the other side, I will catch up to you there!" She faced the bear and held up her blade. "Come to me, and I will face you in battle" she was panting now, sweat pouring down her face with the stress

Beorn paid no heed to the mage, far more interested in the fleeing group heading straight towards his lodgings. Roaring again, the skinchanger broke into a galloping run as he tried to chase them down.

"What are you..?" Kili stared in surprise as Bombur, who was clearly more terrified than any of the others of the giant bear chasing them, overtook him at the front of the group. They all crashed into the locked door, panicked and began banging on it, hoping someone on the other side would open it.
"Open the door!" Thorin hollered as he pushed past the others to get to the front, lifting the latch, he and Kili pushed the door open and the dwarves tumbled inside.

Serena ran after him and jumped up onto the Bears back, trying to pull it in some way. But she's didn't last long as they reached closer to the house. One hard buck and Serena went flying, hitting the house wall and slid down. She fought to get up, the others getting inside the house. Bane looked out and as Serena fighting to get up. "The stubborn...she is trying to fight that thing..." He ran for the door, yelling for someone to give her a hand to get Serena.

Serena moved over a little, looking at the beast as she fought to move. But her body was done moving, her power spent.
