Objectives:

• Secure Kryspn's Farm to protect the flank of Hauptmann Greiter's Panzers.
• Drive the Russians from the houses and streets.
• Encircle any Russian forces attempting to retreat.

Background:

The Great Invasion has been under way for less than four hours, and already the Soviets have been smashed. Their air force lies in ruins, thanks to the ferocity of the Luftwaffe; their armies face encirclement or destruction across the entire front, and so far they have only been able to mount feeble or misjudged counter attacks.

The Ninth Army is driving towards the Białystok area, where the Russians are attempting to regroup - even as the 2nd and 3rd Panzer Groups surge past their flanks, storming on towards Minsk and Vilnius. The Ninth Army's job is to keep the Russian formations in the area locked down, and to prevent them from breaking out of their predicament.

At the very frontier of the Ninth Army's attacks, is Panzergrenadierkompanie B, striking the southern outskirts of a Polish town named Choroszcz in an attempt to trap a Russian force there. Further north, Panzergreandierkompanie A is engaging the bulk of the Russian resistance, along with several other formations. However, it falls to Panzergrenadierkompanie B to break the Russian flank, and to complete the town's encirclement.

We are on the tip of Germany's motorised spear, and as soon as rear echelons catch up to relieve us, we'll be moving on towards Białystok.

Enemy Strength:

Our scouts report that there is a mixed Russian presence in the town; survivors from a series of shattered divisions. They have little armoured support, though we suspect that they will have access to AT guns. Furthermore, we believe snipers are in the area, and would advise all officers to keep themselves concealed when possible.

Objectives:

Hauptmann Greiter's Panzers are our strength, and will drive the Russians into the streets. However, Kryspyn's Farm to the north of our AO represents a possible AT-Gun nest or enemy strong point, and will need to be destroyed or suppressed to allow Greiter to advance safely.

Once the Panzers have cleared the way to the town, they will provide covering fire for advancing panzergrenadiers, whose job it is to drive the Russians from the streets. Expect fierce close quarters combat.

After the Russians have been broken, the Company should make every effort to encircle, cut off or run down any hostile forces that attempt to escape. They will then await relief from rear units, before heading onwards.
