@Thortimer sorry if that was a bit too much godmod for you. I was struggling to come up with a way to effectively get us out of there, to make sure we don't unnessecarily prolong the plot, without making it seem like I was trying to control Marcus. If you want you can just say Marcus managed to avoid being taken so he can stare at the spider a bit more. Or I can edit it if you please.

@Thortimer I agree it would be hilarious.

He's turning out to be more funny than I had intended him to be at first - I wanted him to be a real asshole and a right cunt but he seems more like comedic relief at the moment.

@Thortimer Go for it. I want to wait for ZB1996 to post before I do anymore bug stuff. The three smaller bugs are just killing away and the giant mage bug appears to be busy. I'll do king stuff when you guys get closer.

You mean some of the hardiest creatures on the planet? That've been around since before the dinosaurs and have evolved and survived through half a dozen major extinction events? They were around before us, and they'll be eating our corpses after we're gone.

Arthropods have always been our true overlords and it's about time they get some recognition.

I'm sure when things calm down, and he can function beyond his basic survival instincts, he can go back to being an ass.

Unfortunately, going through an experience like that with someone else can establish an emotional bond. You might not be able to hate the mage as much as you wanted to.

I'll post tonight sometime. I wanted to post after work, but here I am after work and my body hurts and all I want to do is eat and lie like a corpse in front of a netflix machine. It won't be a big post, just some bug movement and Lothren, but I'd like to re-energize.
