Zayga looked confused at Galawayn, "I'm not to literate in reading.. I never really had the chance to learn back when.... Nevermind" "Anyways, I remember listening to the priests on a history lesson on the tiefling, what I heard was they were cursed in a war against demon kind on earth. The priests seem to have a lot of prejudice against them, it seems to me they saved us. And their ancestors bare a great burden for us all"

She then looks over to Jakar when she hears him yelling at everyone. "Aye! Let's have some fun!"

The both of you was able to find the Yoso Tavern (flavour how you do so yourself).

As soon as all of you enter the tavern, music and excited chatter fill the room. All sorts of extravagant cultures were mingling together having a drink and laugh. A couple pushed in between the six of you as they try to make their way up the stairs towards the rooms. The bar was across from the entrance above, having great vantage point over everyone else that is happily singing and dancing away.

With that uncanny sense soldiers have for locating the nearest source of alcohol, Jakar led the group towards a large building, bustling with all sorts of activity. As they entered, patrons jostled them as they went about their business, singing and dancing, eating and drinking.

The bar itself was on the second level, and as Jakar made his way towards it, he carefully scrutinised the building and its occupants, looking for entrances and exits, blind corners and vantage points, likely troublemakers and harmless merrymakers, but especially... well, a game of cards. It seemed months to him since he last played, and even though they hadn't yet divided up the earnings, his share was burning a hole in his pocket.

He pushed the thought aside, however temporarily, as he arrived at the bar and signalled for the attention of the barkeeper.

Galawayn followed the ranger. He could see the man knew where he was going... and going with him wass better than admitting he had lost track of where he was in all his bravado against the tieflings.

He stuck close to the larger human inside, not because he was scared, but simply to avoid potential trouble altogether... He wasn't in the mood to get in a bar brawl with some drunk morons right now. The walk towards the bar was blissfully short, and the small gnome clambered up on a stool to get on equal height with the barman.

Sionnie had followed closely behind Jakar. Pulling up a chair beside Galawayn she sat down and watched her party to see what they might do. The way Jakar was eyeing the gambling table suggested he had his share to burn. For an old man that values his experiences she wondered if he learns from them...

Jethro follows the rest of the group towards the tavern. He was grateful someone knew their way around at least it seemed that way. Jethro knew for damn sure he wasn't about to ask for directions. Surely as an outsider it wouldn't be out of place, but Jethro was a prideful man, more or less. Once inside the tavern Jethro's smile went wide. If there was once thing he enjoyed in life it was a busy tavern. Drinks, laughter, and merrimaking all around. Seeing the dancing he couldn't help himself. Turning to Jakar, Jethro said, "Order me the biggest draft of mead they got. I'll be back. The dance floor is screaming my name." A moment later he was back on the main floor searching for an unoccupied maiden to dance with. A minute or so passed before a Dwarf female caught his eye. A little older than him by his estimate, but perfect non the less. Approaching her he scooped her up and waltzed her onto the dance floor. "Greetings milady, sorry to surprise you, but you looked like you liked to dance." Said Jethro politely in dwarvish with as charming a smile as he could muster.

Zayga followed, the rest of the party being in the rear. When she entered the tavern she smiled when she saw everyone. She smiled even more when she saw Jethro leave to dance, and find a female dwarf to dance with. She got up the stairs and sat next to Sionnie, looking around as she did so, she saw a couple of people arm wrestling for money. She smiled once again, she looked at the barkeep and ordered some wine. Then got up and went over by the people arm wrestling and said. "I call next play!" The men looked at her and laughed, that just made her smile even more.

Galawayn was pleased to see everyone winding down. He had the feeling there was some tension between him and the tieflings. And it would be easier to talk that out when everyone was calm and slightly inebriated. Of course, that was assuming they would continue to work together after today.

He saw the drinking going on around him, which served to whet his own thirst. "Bartender, do you have any sylvan wines?" The man shook his head. "Ah... any wines from the southeastern human lands? the western lands?" The bartender kept shaking his head. "Goodness man, do you have any wines at all in this establishment!". The bartender shook his head again, he briefly searched behind the bar and produced a bottle of good-quality looking apple cider. "Eh, good enough, pour me one of those."

Galawayn considered what he was going to do with his share of the money... A hundred gold was quite a sizable sum, but it was hardly a bounty worth going home with. He remembered how his dimwitted alchemist uncle could make this amount of money by simply brewing healing potions near an entrance to the underdark. "My good man, while I'm here... what is the word on the town?" Bartenders were always quite informed... and quite willing to talk to paying customers.

@Saffirra Dusk Roll Intimidation.

@Bigg Slamm Roll Persuasion.

@Natsucooldude @justTypical "How can I help you gentlemen?" The human bartender took note of his new patrons. "New around town are we? I'll get your first glass on the house, courtesy of Yoso." He winked to the both of them with a large grin, index finger pointing.

"Do you have any sylvan wines?" The gnome asks. To his disappointment, the bartender looked towards a table filled with female elves enjoying themselves with fine bottles of said wine. He shook his head.

"My apologies. The last bottle went to the elves. Loved the stuff, we'll order more and have them back as soon as we can." He let out an apologetic smile before inquiring further. "Can I get you something else?"

"Ah... Any wines from the South-Eastern Human Lands? The Western Lands?" He thought for a moment and remembered; the upper-classmen had purchased lots of them for themselves, since they were the only ones who had supply for these things. He shook his head once again.

"Nay sir." He dryly stated, almost wished he hadn't did.

"Goodness man, do you have any wines at all in this establishment?!" He shook his head.

"They are very popular, unfortunately and the stock isn't much. Let me see if there's something that I can interest you with instead." He proceeds to search the bar for drinks that are also popular among gnomes, but failed to do so. He grabbed one of his favourite Ciders-- a fine Apple-Cider straight from the Gem of the Flanaess. "Perhaps this will satisfy your request. As promised, one glass on the house." He pours the cider into a pint and hands it over the gnome.

"What can I interest you with, fellow kinsman?" @justTypical He smiles again, almost as if forgotten what just happened between the gnome.

"My good man, while I'm here... what is the word on the town?" The bartender turns to look at the gnome again, deep into thought.

"Well... We're here to serve most of the tradesmen who arrive. Sometimes they have problems with their trade routes from here to another. You'll need to speak with Talila if you want to know more." @Natsucooldude He points towards the elven table who were drinking the Sylvan Wine-- particularly an elven woman. "I heard there's something for more of the brawny/hunting folk by the Blood of Beasts." He turns back towards the human. "So, what will you have again?" @justTypical

Scratching his chin, Jakar mused for a moment. "Give me your finest ale," he decided, "and a hot meal would not be amiss." He thanked the bartender as his drink was served, and took a sip as he listened to Galawayn converse with the man. When mention was made of the dangers faced by the traders, his eyes suddenly lit up. Here was a golden opportunity for employment. He began to stand up with the intent to speak to the elves immediately, but hesitated for a moment, apparently calculating in his head.

He turned and nudged Galawayn to attract his attention. "Galawayn," he began, "I've been hired many times over as a guard for tradesmen such as these. A mercenary, so to speak. There's good money in it, and only seldom is there any danger, much like today on the road. Now," he continued, lowering his voice "merchants want to feel safe. And while I may be able to keep them so, they feel safer with a greater number of guards, if you catch my meaning."

"In my country, I had friends, old companions and warfellows, who would often join me on these ventures. We would split the profits and make a killing for little trouble. But here," he gestured widely, "I know no one. What I could make as a lone mercenary would be a pittance compared to the gold a dedicated band of warriors could bring in." He paused for a moment, evaluating Galawayn's reaction.

"I have witnessed your abilities, and those of our companions. There is real skill. The six of us could offer our services to these merchants for a kingly sum. Once I've spoken to the others, I could have the arrangements made with the elves in a matter of moments. What say you?"

Sionnie was listening to Galawayn and jakar's conversations between the bartender and themselves a bit annoyed. They ask her to accompany them and while she sits right near them she has been ignored.. Even by the bartender. She puffed out her cheeks and turned away with a grunt of frustration. Before Galawayn could take a a drink of the beverage that had given him so much trouble she stole it from his sight in order to aquire his attention, although she did not drink it...

Galawayn turned to Jakar as the barman poured out his cider. "Your offer interests me my good man... I don't really have anytihng better to do anyway, I'm in." The gnome looked back forward to see his glass was missing.

"Alright... who stole my drink" Galawayn looked around to see the rogue jsut standing there, holding his glass. "Would you mind giving that back? Get your own damn drink or get out. I don't take well to moochers." The gnome's patience with the tiefling had run out. He started hoping she wouldn't take the ranger up on his offer to join forces, just so he would be rid of her.

@Saffirra Dusk The men ceased to laugh and pushed her into the table. Next was a rather muscular figure wearing scarlet leathery coat entered the table drinking a strange red concoction before slamming his arms on the table negligently. "You're pitting me against a woman? Come on! You know I don't compete with'em." The group continued to cheer the guy on. "Alright, alright. I'll do it." His eyes peered into Zayga's. "I'm gonna give you an option here. How rough do you want me to be?" He grinned. "Soft-ish? Or devilish?"

@Bigg Slamm The dwarvish woman by the dance floor was swooped by Jethro's demeanour. "Oh me dear!" She exclaimed in the crowd and music enthused. "Me can't deny boys like ye. Come on! Show me what ye've got!" (Roll Performance)

@Sionnie @Natsucooldude @justTypical

The bartender was quite pleased to have been requested with a liquid in which he was in an abundance of. He punctured a small barrel with a driven stick and poured into a pint a liquid clear and colourless in appearance. He hands it over to Jethro with a respectful gesture. "As promised, on the house. This is Mountain Dwarf's Piss Water. No, its not real piss." He grinned before looking at the Albino Tiefling with the gnome's pint. "I don't recall giving you the cider. But whatever. That drink's on the house." The bartender proceeds to walk away from the bar.

The She laughed playfully at the gnome and started backing off in a crowd hoping the gnome would follow but she knew he would anyways.. She had his spell book now. Satisfied with both the drink and Galawayn's response, Jakar drained his flagon. He nodded, accepting Sionnie's noncommital answer, and turned to find the other members of the party. The thronging crowd and general revelry combined with the warm, smoky haze that hung in the still air made it no small task. He peered over the railing at the dance floor below. A troupe of musicians in the corner had just struck up a lively tune, and--there! He could see Jethro preparing to dance with a comely dwarven woman. A smile touched his lips. He remembered what it was to be young! Better to let him have his moment than to interrupt with mundane affairs.

Turning again, he saw Zayga off in a corner with some burly fellows, apparently about to arm wrestle with an especially brutish specimen. He involuntarily snorted at the sight. The woman certainly had spirit! One way or another, someone was about to receive a grand comeuppance. He was sorely tempted to watch, but a quick glance at the elves revealed they seemed nearly ready to leave. He sauntered over to their table and introduced himself briefly. "Greetings, fair ones! I am called Jakar. Forgive me my intrusion in your refreshment, but I am told by the good keeper of the house that you have recently faced peril on your trading routes?"

Zayga looked at the big man with a cute smile.. "Well if you went soft-ish, I would throw you across the room. So devil-ish it is!" She says with a small giggle. She put her arm up and grasped his hand, she tensed and got ready for the call to start. She knew that she would win, he was big and thought a lot of himself but he was no match for her. Of course she wasn't underestimating him either.

When she heard the call to start she let him get her hand almost to the table, but stopped it just short before hitting the table, then in one quick motion pushed his hand back the other way, slamming his hand on the table.

@Saffirra Dusk "I like you already." He proceeds to clutch his hands together before grasping his opponent's hand. He gazed at her quite intently as the referee held their hands together and the surrounding crowd was cheering.

"Start!" At first, the standoff was in the man's favour. He was close to winning, gaze unwavering as he loosened his muscle and allowed Zayga to catch a glimpse of victory and rammed his hand at full strength-- driving Zayga's hand flat on the table and smashing it into pieces (Take 5 points of physical damage) as he stood up in victory. "Sorry lady, you're just as limp as the others." He let out his hand. "Now, pay up."

@justTypical Indeed the elves were packing themselves up to leave, but was briefly stopped by Jakar's abrupt interruption by the table. "Greetings, fair ones! I am called Jakar. Forgive me my intrusion in your refreshment, but I am told by the good keeper of the house that you have recently faced peril on your trading routes?" The elves among them looked at each other and began whispering quietly among them (roll Perception to hear what they're saying).

@justTypical "... keep moving." Was all that you could hear amongst the elves. They all continued walking out of the tavern with one elf standing at the very end stopping by Jakar was Talila.

"We apologise but we must be leaving. Perhaps when after you see the mayor you'll come back and speak with us." She followed up quickly by the closing of the tavern's door.

Sionnie sit anxious in wait for the Gnome as he appeared with staff in hand and no doubt had taken measures to keep sionnie from any kind of escape. However the plan was never to escape and the scrutiny on foolish, fed up Galawayn's face was simply priceless. No doubt he would try to make some kind of demands she was still ahead of him by two or three steps she thought. She was sitting at a small table right next to the fire place with the book in her lap and her weapons on the table sheathed and in the open. There was only on other seat across from hers and this part of the tavern was much calmer, much quieter. a cider of the kind she had stolen for his attention sat waiting near his seat. Of the entire seen what might catch anyone who new her even a little was her smile while she wait, it was not devious or cocky just pleasantly there and real enough to startle anyone. the worst part was she was actually cute and held the attention of several men and wemon within the tavern..
