Lumiose City, a sprawling metropolis centered around the brilliant Prism Tower. The city itself is located in the very heart of the Kalos region, making it a very popular tourist attraction. A wide variety of shops, cafés, and restaurants can be found throughout the brick and cobblestone passageways that make up Lumiose City.

Nasir the Zoroark
Illusion Status: Human

[Lumiose City - South Boulevard - Café Soleil]

Towards the back corner of the Café, a dark-haired swordsman looked over a map of Lumiose; his brows furrowed with concern and a hint of confusion. Bright teal eyes scanned the map for a few moments longer before he face-planted into the table below. Pessimistic thoughts raced through the guised Zoroark's mind, I cannot believe I came all the way here without Devon. I'm... never going to find her. It was foolish of me to even believe I'd be able to find her in such a large region. Devon suggested Lumiose, since it was a central city, but... it's so... large... hrrngh...

Softly banging his head against the table a few more times for good measure, the man straightened himself up, and continued to look over the chart. "So I'm here...? This is the South Boulevard... where... to go? I hadn't even considered the city would be this large..." His head now fell to both of his hands, his fingers reaching up into his hair, running through it. Regaining his composure, somewhat, the man reached for the glass on the small table, and took a sip.

As he was taking a sip of his drink, an albino child suddenly ran over to his table. They were obviously out of breath from the pinkness of their cheeks and the heaving of their chest. The child, slid behind Nasir's chair as if they were suppose to be hiding themselves... But, they obviously weren't doing a very good job.

It was then that two men in gaudy orange suits and red hair approached Nasir.

"Give us the kid!" The first grunt commanded Nasir. "We don't want to cause a scene here." He said with a sneer.

The albino child was hugging their knees to their chest and shivering, they looked absolutely horrified.

As an unusual child ran straight for him, Nasir almost spat out his drink. Thankfully, he didn't, and he swallowed hard, only to be left with confusion.

Putting a hand to his forehead, Nasir thought to himself, Why is it always children?

Two men who weren't inside the Café moments previously approached the dark-haired man, and... threatened him? Taking a stand, the man gripped the hilt of his katana. Glancing back at the fair-skinned child, he made a quick note. It was apparently he was terrified of these men. Teal eyes fixed upon the first of the two. Specifically, the one throwing threats his way. "If the child does not wish to come with you, then I am not one to force him."

Narrowing his eyes, the grip on his katana tightened, "If you wish to cause a scene... so be it."

The two grunts backed away slightly.

"H-Hold on...!" The first grunt said. "We weren't being serious about causing a scene! We just need the kid!"

"Forget this!" The second grunt said, bolting for it. He wasn't going to get in a fight with a guy who had a katana.

"H-Hey! WAIT!" The other grunt said, following.

Once the grunts were gone, Itzal stood up from behind the chair, he was still panting, "Ummm... Thank you..." He said softly.

Blinking, Nasir was surprised that the two ruffians were scared off by his katana. Their threatening tone was nothing more than a facade; the man at least half expected a Pokémon battle. Removing his hand from the illusory hilt, Nasir turned around to sit back down, his eyes falling to the child now standing before him.

"...You're quite welcome." Furrowing his brows, he continued, "...If you don't mind my asking, but... exactly what did they want with you?"

Tilting his head, Nasir raised a confused brow at the boy's response. "...Not to an adult?" Staring for a few moments, the black-haired man sat back down in his seat, and began to look over his map. "I cannot force you to speak, but... at the same time, I would feel responsible if anything happened to you after this point."

Itzal frowned, he was surprised by Nasir's response. Usually people would be upset and force him to speak about what they asked, he went over to Nasir and looked over the map. "That's Kalos." He said, matter-of-factly. "Why are you looking at a map of the region?"

Frowning at the map, he nodded before replying, "I've... this is the first time I've been here. Truthfully, this is the first time I've viewed a proper map of the region." Averting his gaze he let out a soft sigh, "...Which was rather foolish of me. I should have discussed this at length, but, it's not as if he knew much either."

I could help you find them, assuming you were separated..." Taking a glance at the boy's belt, he noticed there wasn't a single Pokéball.

Cocking his head, Nasir looked at the boy with furrowed brows, "...You have no parents? Hmm." Pausing for a moment, the guised Zoroark considered the boy's words. "...Lab? A... hospital, or a research facility??"

Mouth twisting into a slight frown, the black-haired man looked over the boy with deep-seated concern. "...I see. I was once very good friends with someone who did not have parents. Unfortunately, she's... not around anymore." Averting his gaze he continued, "I hope for your sake you do not frequent a hospital very often, at least."

A slight smile crossed Nasir's lips, "...At least that's good, I suppose..." Taking another sip of his water, he stared at the map before letting out a soft sigh. "I'm looking for someone whom said the exact same thing to me, and then vanished without a trace." Teal eyes panned towards the boy. "You are a child without a Pokémon or parents to protect you. I simply cannot allow you to go off on your own unattended."

Averting his gaze, the man's face flushed a deep red at the boy's comment. "...I-I suppose." Taking a quick glance at the boy, Nasir redirected his attention back to the unfamiliar map. "Well, having a Pokémon as a friend, and having one as your companion are two completely different things."

Taking a breath he continued, "A friend is only able to help you as much as they can before they need to retire. You cannot transport them in a Pokéball, so in the event of a medical emergency, there's little you're able to do. Additionally, I do not see your friends nearby, therefore I can only assume they do little to help protect you from your current predicament." Putting a hand on his cheek, he leaned against it as his teal eyes fell to the boy, "...Apologies, I do not mean to lecture you, but you're really not safe by yourself, friends or otherwise. Especially with such men seemingly after you."

A soft sigh escaped the man's lips, "You do not need to have much money to start off with. As long as you and your partners agree to progress and accept battle challenges, you will eventually gain more money in which you can use to care for your partner. Of course... it is not easy."

Itzal's eyes lit up, "Are you going to teach me how to be a trainer?! So I can finally go on a journey!?" He didn't seem to mind that he had gotten lectured to.
