Looking over the dilapidated structure, the man furrowed his brows. After a few moments of contemplation, he turned to Itzal with a small smile, "I see... well, haunted or not, it's likely our best option." Making his way towards the house, he looked back at the boy, "I'm going to take a quick look inside."

Pushing the door open, it creaked, and his footsteps echoed throughout the mostly empty structure. Not seeing anything immediately threatening, he stepped back outside. "It should do, at least for today."

With wide eyes, Nasir looked over the boy for a moment before averting his gaze, letting a dejected sigh escape his lips. "..you remind me of my friend from long ago." Chuckling sadly, the man continued, "It's also not in my nature to allow a defenseless child to be placed in harm's way, even through my own inaction. Especially through my own inaction..."
