"Might wanna repeat what you've said just now," Hayley replied in jest as she sat down next to Isaac, sitting on a bed yet again. Awkwardly looking at him, she fiddled with her fingers for a bit before asking, "So... Any progress with your memory? I figured that your chat with that jerk would light up some sort of clue to your past life, maybe something related to what you did in the past or something like that."

For a few moments, Isaac was silent, sifting through his earlier conversation with Sean. Eventually, he says, "I don't really remember anything...But he's told me some things from before: He told me about his fiancee, Anna. And..." Should I tell her? Isaac asks Vincent. I don't want her to be worried that I'll leave her, but it doesn't feel right keeping anything from her. Almost immediately, Vincent says, Tell her. Chicks tend to like honest men. Plus, what if you two end up meeting again? Hayley'll wanna know what's up. After a few moments, Isaac lets out a breath he wasn't aware he was holding and says, "Apparently, before I lost my memory, I had a...girlfriend." Quickly, he adds, "Sean doesn't know where she is, though, so it might be a safe bet that she left town after I disappeared, so we won't have to worry about any complications later on."

Hayley bit her lip. Even though Isaac clearly had done nothing wrong, she couldn't help but feel jealous of the fact that there was another lucky woman who previously had his heart. She was clearly doing her best to bury away the irrational emotion, but it definitely took her by surprise. "I see..." she replied, "I guess that's life. Did he say anything else about her? Like how you and her get along or something like that? I would imagine that having a girlfriend would be a very important memory to a guy like you."

Isaac shrugs and says, "He says that we seemed happy together, more so than he did with his own fiancee." Looking into Hayley's eyes, he can't help but see the envy and instantly feels bad about bringing up the girlfriend he can't even remember. Wrapping his arm around her shoulders, he says, "But you and I are together, now. Even if I were to meet her again, that's the way it's gonna stay. I love you, Hayley. More than anything."

Hayley felt a mixture of relief and pride as Isaac proclaimed his love to her. "How sweet of you, but if we do end up stumbling into her one way or another, we'll make sure that we make things clear and help her. I'm sure she's quite heartbroken about losing you. I love you and I'm glad you decided to stay with me regardless, but I also want to make sure that your past no longer haunts you." She timidly held onto his hand, her cheeks a vivid shade of red as she looked into his eyes.

Isaac smiles back, touching his forehead to Hayley's as he says, "You know, for a woman who's been on her own most of her life, literally fighting tooth and nail to get by, you're much kinder than people would think. I'm glad you're letting me see this side of you." Tilting his head towards her, he brings her into a soft kiss, only to break away shortly afterwards, still wanting to give Hayley time to adjust to everything between them. Chuckling as a thought occurs to him, he adds, "You know, I think that was the second time you've said you loved me. It sounds nice."

"Don't push your luck," Hayley murmured, slightly annoyed that Isaac had poked fun at that fact. While she might appear grumpy on the outside, she was quite happy to have her efforts acknowledged by the man who won her heart. Her heart began to beat rapidly inside her chest and her 'other self' had noticed this abnormal reaction. In reality, she had observed these abnormal reactions to her physiology for the last few days, but she was unable to draw any conclusive evidence and decided to stay put and observe from behind the scenes.

For the next few minutes, Isaac sits there, gazing into Hayley's eyes. Eventually, he changes position. Now, he was sitting behind her, arms around her stomach, and his head resting on her shoulder. After a few moments of just sitting there in silence, happy for her company, he says, "You know, something's been bothering me. Why haven't Nigel or Arlia tried anything, yet? If they're taking this long to make a move, odds are they're planning something big. You know what I mean?"

Hayley felt her hair standing on its end as she recalled her earlier brush with Nigel by pure coincidence. She wasn't sure if letting him know about what really happened to her would be a good idea at this stage, so she softly replied, "I'm sure those two are scheming, bidding their time. They don't fancy me as the sort of people who let time bother them. Once they feel like striking, they will. I can say that for sure. Heck, even I'm sure Nigel is just waiting for the day he would be alive to slit our necks..." Sighing quietly, she gently pat his head and said, "We will be ready when they decide to mess with us again. It won't be like our last encounters, I will make sure of that."

Looking into Hayley's eyes, Isaac can tell she's hiding something, but decides to let it go, not wanting to potentially start an argument or make her upset. Instead, he nods his agreement and laces his fingers with hers. Minutes pass by in silence, during which, Isaac lays back on the bed, pulling Hayley down on top of him as he does so. Eventually, he breaks the silence by asking, "Do you think you'll be visiting your new friend anytime soon?"

Hayley paused for a short while, debating on Isaac's question. She would certainly love to revisit Sarah's home and talk to her again, perhaps to see if there are more similarities between them. At the same time, she also recalled what Nigel had said to her in defense of his sister, the only innocent soul he seemed to love and cherish like his own life. She had no plans on frequenting the apartment with him around, but something about the way he pleaded to her to keep Sarah out of their feud resonated with what humanity she had in her.

"I won't get in the way of your friendship as long as you continue to look after her."

"Maybe some other time... I will try and visit her again in the future, if I don't have anything else to do," the blonde replied with a smile and gently laid down on his chest, content to merely listen to his beating heart. Maybe not now. It doesn't look like a good time for me to tell him, she thought somewhat regretfully.

Isaac smiles down at Hayley, gently curling his fingers against her back. "I'm glad you found someone to talk to other than me and your other self, who I don't really see as much of a conversationalist," he says. "It's always nice to have friends to back you up." As one hand remains on her back, the other moves up and gently caresses Hayley's hair as he says, "Maybe I should tag along with you next time you go visit her. I'd like to see the person who was lucky enough to become friends with you."

Once again, Hayley's skin bristled as Isaac whimsically spoke out his desires. "Sounds great. I just hope her brother isn't home when we come to visit her again," she replied, deciding to give him the facts piece by piece. "The chick has a brother, a cranky, grumpy loner who's overprotective as hell. He threatened to kick my ass if I do anything to her. I almost felt like giving him a piece of my mind right there and then, but I held back because his sister has been a gracious host to me..." No part of her story was a lie, but Hayley still omitted the more personal information she didn't want to share with Isaac just yet.

"Glad you were able to hold your temper in check," Isaac replies with a chuckle, repositioning himself on the bed so he was lying lengthwise instead of having his legs dangle off of the side while keeping Hayley on top of him. "Odds are, the way you are now, you would've put him through a wall." For a moment, he lowers his head and buries his mouth and nose into Hayley's hair, drinking in her scent with his eyes closed. Shortly afterwards, he moves away and says, "Well, you can't really blame him, anyway. Family is the most important thing to a man. I don't have to remember anything to know that's the truth."

"Hoo boy, you have no idea! Trust me, it ain't easy," Hayley added with a bemused chuckle. "The way he talked and the way he accused me of try to con his sister made me really want to rip him in half... Still, those two do get along very nicely. He dotes over her and she genuinely adores him, flaws aside. I think they really love one another. I can't say much about that either, given I'm an only child, but you do have a point." Silence prevailed for a brief second before the blonde softly spoke up again. "At least they have each other and they get along. Knowing that they didn't go through what I did makes me feel somewhat content."

Looking down at his girlfriend, Isaac once more feels his heart go out to her. Gently, he pulls her up until she was face to face with him as he says, "I'm sorry you had to go through all of that. If I could, I'd go back in time and prevent all of that from happening. Even if it meant I had to make your past my own." Touching his forehead to hers, he says in a quieter voice, "I'd do anything for you. You know that, right?"

At that very moment, she felt some sort of connection, a link of sorts tying her and Isaac together. She didn't know why she felt that way, but she knew that she liked that connection. It made her feel secure and safe and she would do anything in her power to keep this link, perhaps even strengthen it as time passed. The blonde closed her eyes contentedly and lowered her head to the point where she could whisper directly into his ears. "I don't know what would have happened if things had gone differently in my past. I can't tell if it would've made me a better person or even worse than I am now. In any case, I know I can't turn back time and change my past, but I'm happy to know that it led me to you and I wouldn't trade you away for anything in this world... I'm pretty lousy with all this lovey-dovey stuff, but this... This, I can say for sure."

Hearing Hayley whisper into his ear, Isaac couldn't help but feel a pleasant shudder run through his body, as if just hearing her voice had a profound impact on him. Wrapping his arms more securely around her, he looks into her eyes and says, "I feel the same way. No matter what my past is, whether I grew up an orphan or filthy rich, or whatever, I wouldn't change a thing as long as it lead me back to you." Leaning forward, he brings Hayley into a gentle kiss, using the soft touch to attempt to show her just how much she meant to him.

A contented sigh escaped her lips as Hayley returned the kiss, holding Isaac close to her until they were forced to break away to breathe. Noticing her odd position afterwards, she attempted to adjust herself and gently moved around. However, at some point, she ended up straddling him around his chest, giving his an scenic view of the two lofty peaks in front of him, partially covered. Then, in a moment designed most likely by Lady Fate herself, she accidentally slipped while trying to put herself on a more comfortable position, bringing said lofty peaks in contact with Isaac's face in what could be described as a 'marshmallow hell'. "Ow..." she winced still not realizing that Isaac's face was now resting between her biological cushions.

Fuck, yeah!! Vincent cries as Isaac's vision suddenly goes black, the last thing he had seen being Hayley's rather ample chest descending toward him. This is awesome!!! Vincent continues as Isaac sits there, processing what had just happened. Once he finally regains his senses, he begins waving his arms, tapping Hayley's shoulders in an attempt to get her attention while, underneath, his face turns such a deep shade of red, it looks like his head was about to burst.
