This is probably a stretch but I've been binge watching the anime again this summer and remember how amazing and delightful it is. I miss the days when anime didn't need to drone on and on. And sure, the anime doesn't follow the manga too closely but FMA didn't either so maybe we'll get a remark in the future for Fruits Basket. Anyway, if you haven't seen the anime, it's about a high school girl named Tohru who befriends a cursed family. The curse is that anytime someone of the opposite sex comes into close physical contact (like hugging) they change into one of the twelve zodiac animals. It's on Hulu in both Japanese and English if you're interested and if you watch about four or five episodes a night like I did, it shouldn't take more than a week to finish.
I am also seeking writers who are advanced in writing. From time to time people seem interested but fail to recognize my expectations are to give and get 4-5 paragraphs (roughly the size of the above paragraph). I don't need active writers however. If you're busy and can only manage one or two posts a week, I'm happy with that. I'm busy too and will be even busier come Fall. I just want people who communicate well and are passionate about writing and developing good stories and characters. Now with smut, I like to write it but it honestly takes a long time to even have it become an issue. This isn't porn, characters don't fuck after making out for the first time. If you're not comfortable with smut, please do not contact me. This particular fandom needs the smut scenes to be depicted and developed, at least to me.
Now with characters, I will be more invested and interested in canons. In other words, I intend for us to both play canon characters and hopefully even double up because the cast is big enough to nearly demand it. I could be swayed to do something with OCs but I don't want to. I find writers either just want to smooch a dreamy anime character and thus don't think very far in regards to developing their OC outside of cliche clumsiness and tragic backstories. Or I have run into writers who are the opposite, where they think too much about their OC and become stubborn about suggestions. Honestly, it's easier if we both play canons because we can equally plot since we already know the canons well enough. Canons are more fun to put into new situations too. But if you somehow do convince me to include main OCs for romance, we have to double but again, it'll be a challenge and I expect my partner to be on top of their game because I certainly don't have any OCs in mind for this fandom. Maybe if it were all OCs, but again, it just doesn't sound as interesting to me.
I think it's best if I get right to the pairs and hope someone out there is craving this kind of simple, sweet, slice of life story. Those characters in bold are ones I am capable and willing to play. Pairs with a ~ beside them have a rough idea, note that idea does not equate to a plot. I'd rather talk with my partner and see when we want to have our story begin. Maybe we ignore the last two episodes? Maybe we just pick up where the anime left off? Or maybe we start in the middle and go on a whole different path outside of the canon events? Let's talk it out. And although some pairs don't have a general idea, doesn't mean I'm craving them any less. It will just depend on what we can brainstorm together.
