"those, they are cars, instead of using animals or anything to travel from town to town, or from your house to long distances, humans made these large metal machines that travel longs distances at extreme speeds" they made it to the other side of the road, the automatic doors of the shop slid open as he entered, "let's get a ready meal or something i can cook in the oven" Marcus wondered around the shop, looking for frozen oven foods to cook such as chips, pizzas and so forth.

She looked around the store as they went through it her eyes wide with awe and fascination at the many different things that she never seen before. "Wow this is amazing" she said with awe in her voice

"there are stores larger than this one, to be honest this is rather small in comparison" he smiled as he grabbed a few pizzas, "i think this shall do for today, will go shopping on the internet when we get home, should be here tomorrow" he made way for the self checkout, passing the boxes over the scanner making the machine beep, "that's quite cheap actually, glad we came here of all places" he placed the coins in the machine and took his receipt, "back home i guess" he smiled and headed for the exit, "i don't know about you but i am starved right now"

"I been starving for many years so I am more hunger than you are Marcus" she giggled at him. She looked around and at the sky. "It seems that you cannot see the stars as good as you could when I was living in the 1400s" she said

"good cos i bought plenty of food" he smiled and laughed back, he too looked up at the sky, "light pollution, it's so difficult to see the stars but when you finally can see the stars in the night sky they are beautiful, reminds me of my childhood sometimes" he carried on walking, trying to get home as soon as possible, "so tell me more about the time you come from, what was it like to live back then?"

"Well I was not allowed to to go outside without a male by my side so I never really got to see my own world and before I could I was sealed until now" she said. "My dad or brother hardly left the house so I wasnt allowed to leave"

"i see, that seems rather unfair on your half" he sighed, "well now you get to see the world, it may not be as glorious as the world use to be, but it still has some beauty left in it" he smiled as they reached his front door. After a long struggle to fit the right key in the door he made way for the kitchen, turning on the oven and preheating it, "ok then the first pizza shouldn't take very long, make yourself at home"

"i see, well i shall show you the outside world for now, i am sure you will find beauty even in the modern world" he laughed as he opened his way into the living room, "dinner should be finished soon so what shall we do for now?". It had been a long day and Marcus was rather tired, all he wanted to do was sleep.... how could all this happen in one day, it's like my life is some sort of film he shut his eyes a little, taking a long breath.

"Well you look tired perhaps you should rest" she said looking concerned. "At least until dinner is done" she said again sitting back looking at him with eyes full of worry for him knowing he must be tired.

She nodded and looked at the strange clock. "Which one is 7" she asked not knowing what the numbers were. She got up and looked it with confusion and fascination in her eyes at the object before her.

"oh yer forgot you may not know what numbers are... i shall teach you tomorrow" he smiled gently as he pulled out a paper and pen, he jotted down the three numbers that she would have to look for and handed the paper to her, "here this is what the lights should look like when the food will be ready, wake me up then ok?" after a quick smile he leaned his head back once more and closed his eyes, slowly falling asleep"

She nodded and sat down looking at the paper and the clock. She waited and once it reached the time he said to wake him she walked up and shook him gently by his shoulder. "Its time to wake up" she said gently
