The First Is Always Best...

Perhaps the greatest of the “Things that go bump in the night”, or rather Supernatural beings, the Originals are powerful beings, the first of their kind, they created their races, and have been alive perhaps as long as civilization itself. Werewolves, Witches, and Vampires, they tend to immortal beings, and an a lot stronger their their kin. Typically leaders in their races, Originals are the changing force of the supernatural world.

This doesn’t mean that their children are less, quite the opposite. Originals merely are stronger, faster and more of what their races are. The Originals in the three main races, tend to be family, and from them all current all current descendants are created, and they are the most powerful and indestructible

There are four Original Vampires. Five Original Werewolves, and three original witches. You don’t need to play an Original, descendants are always welcome.

A budding war is blooming, has perhaps always been under the surface between the three main races. The setting is Carson City Nevada, this city established by the Originals in 1858.

An extremely kind and gentle old soul to all those that she has the pleasure of meeting, Seraphina is an exceedingly sweet and charming young woman, showering all those who are lucky enough to form a close relationship to her with the love and care that she believes them to deserve, no matter who might think otherwise. Her recently found confidence and self-belief growing significantly over the years, despite her isolation from the rest of the world, helping her to see the friends that she had managed to make over the years as figures that were approachable, offering them both council and comfort whenever any of them seemed to need it; while spending her nights stepping up to the roles left unfilled by mothering and caring for her younger sister, Lailah.

Usually seen to be quite warm-hearted and a very modest young woman, she does her best to carry herself with both grace and dignity through the hardship that has been thrown her way by all of those who look down upon the angels as nothing more than objects to be hunted; though as the years passed her by, Seraphina soon learnt and began to stand up for herself against those who continued to look down upon her and her kind. Also extremely wise and very mature for her young age, Seraphina is seen to be exceedingly beautiful to all those who meet her, attracting the attention of many a person who has crossed paths with her, whether they meet with one another on purpose or purely accidental- though despite her undeniably inherited beauty, Seraphina is not a vain young lady; the naturally curious young woman always seeming to surprise her those she holds dear, even when they themselves believe that they know everything about her, she always seems to find new ways to stun and amaze them. Although Seraphina is seen to be both a kind and gentle child, she has shown herself to be capable of being quite aggressive whenever her friends and family are shown to be placed in danger; tremendously brave and courageous whenever the situation calls for her to be, the usually calm and extremely loyal woman is unafraid to fight back against those doing wrong, however she is also quite quick to hide her more vulnerable side and highly guarded heart.

Hobbies: Though a well known name within the animal lovers community of Carson City, Seraphina has been seen to be a rather talented at singing and playing the piano; and in her down time likes to go out on nature walks, and work on her art- the young woman quite skilled when it comes to both drawing and painting.

Strengths:
⚜ Flight- Growing up under the careful guiding eye of her father, Seraphina is able to fly using the large wings she has due to her birthright; however, while she is able to fly long distances, it does indeed drain her energy forcing her to have to land and rest.
⚜ Multi-lingual- raised under both her parents, Seraphina very quickly took to learning new languages, and can so far speak, read and write in Enochian (language of angels), English, Italian, Spanish, French, Russian, Swahili, Japanese, Indonesian, and Chinese.
⚜ Living Bestiary; a leading specialist in her career of choice, Seraphina not only has a vast knowledge of the animals and creatures from the human world, but also an extensive knowledge of all supernatural creatures- the young woman considered a living bestiary by those who know her, even going so far as to keep multiple journals with the information that she holds within her mind.

Weaknesses:
☠ Slowed Down- while she is able to reach incredible speeds when soaring freely through the skies; Seraphina's wings are extremely large, the tips of which tending to drag lightly over the ground behind her, and causing her movements to become slightly slower than that of a normal person when she has them showing, even when she seems to be rushing about.
☠ Exceptional Beauty- thanks to her heritage, Seraphina is exceptionally beautiful to many of those who look upon her; and naturally, though oftentimes unintentionally, draws in and gains the attention of those who hold both well, or ill intent towards her- while she has always been told she is pretty, Seraphina doesn't realize the extent of which her attraction extends, and tends to become rather shy and humble towards those who try to compliment, or explain this to her.
☠ Aura of Light/ Smell- unbeknownst to her and thanks in large part to her angel blood; Seraphina gives off a particular scent (cocoa butter and honey), as well as a soft and almost undetectable aura of light which are both able to be detected by other supernatural creatures, and hunters- the young woman herself not aware of either of these traits.
☠ Physical Weakness- born an angel, Seraphina is well known to be physically weaker than those who are born of other races; her weakness not helping her any when it comes to the fact that her kind are hunted more than any other.

Brief Biography:
Born as the first child to her parents, Seraphina was quickly pulled into, and raised with respect for the traditions surrounding not only the human world, but also the angel part of her heritage; the young girl both loved and cherished within her families home. Soon growing into a beautiful young teenager, and now blessed with a beautiful younger sister; Seraphina quickly came to the realization that she didn't want to rely or be a burden on her parents, she tried her best, taking on more of the responsibilities at home, doing all that she could to excel in the lessons of which they had to teach her- the young woman quickly showing not only extreme skill, but also natural talent when it came to animal care and maintenance, both natural and supernatural. Never having an issue opening up to those few who had accepted her for who she truly was, she began to become the confident young lady that her mother and father always meant for her to be; however her fathers long-term fear of the threat of other supernaturals and hunters against their people was never far from their minds.

Knowing full well that the they were closing in on him and his family, Seraphina's father gathered up both of his daughters and tried to flee Oxfordshire with his family, hoping beyond anything to at least hide long enough in the bustling city of London until the time came when the threat was subdued; however, unable to get away from the towns boarder quickly enough, the group of supernatural beings attacked, and in their attempt to stop their daughters from being taken, Seraphina and her younger sister Lailah watched on in horror as their parents were struck down in front of their eyes. Not wanting their sacrifice to be in vein, and forced to leave the corpses of their parents back in their homeland; Seraphina quickly gathered her little sister up in her arms and took to the skies, doing everything she possibly could to get them as far away as she could from the danger.

Refusing to be separated from her twelve year old little sister after everything that they had just been through, Seraphina took on several jobs, gathering the money that the both of them needed to move away from the UK and across the sea to the USA where she then took the place of her mother, and began to after and raise Lailah in the way that their parents raised her. Five years later, and now comfortably living in Carson City, Seraphina does all that she can to deal with the obstacles that life seems intent on throwing her way; the young woman determined to do all that she can to make sure that her sister's life never has to see anymore heartache and pain than it already has.

Other: Though she may seem confident and semi-competent when it comes to things she sets her mind to, Seraphina has a fear of swimming and is terrified at the very thought of deep water as getting her wings wet can turn into a life-threatening situation; along with this fear she is also deathly scared of the dark, being left alone, and losing everyone she cares about.

Believing deep down in her heart that no one will be able to look past the fact that she is angel, and see her as anything more than a trophy or animal to be hunted down; Seraphina has all but given up on the thought of finding love and being truly happy.

On the rare occasion when she is seen to be happy and content with what's going on within her life, Seraphina can be seen to float lightly just a few inches above the ground as she moves about- particularly when she is seen to be dancing, or when she is expressing herself in a positive way.

Seen by all those who know her to be a very sweet, charming and exceedingly graceful young woman; Mercy is shown to be a quietly confident, kind-hearted and well-presented young woman, able to speak eloquently and pleasantly with all those who wish to hold a conversation with her or who wish to get to know her- helping her to create strong bonds with people that she cares about, that are tremendously hard to break. The beautiful young lady demonstrating great grace and poise when handling potentially awkward situations, doing her best to avoid ways in which might embarrass those she cares about; the girl able to hold herself in a way in which she is able to hide both her nerves and uncomfortableness, especially when in difficult circumstances that may impact both her, or anyone else that she holds dear to her heart.

Also seen by those who know her to be a great strategist, she uses her talents well and when called upon, is able to catch any flaws within plans that others tend to, more times than none, run by her.

⚜ Perfect Taste- raised to be the perfect young Lady and Princess by her mother in her youth; Mercy-Rose is very skilled when it comes to homely things such as mending clothes, keeping a home, and looking after those she loves. However, her real talent shines through in the kitchen, the young woman a perfect connoisseur when it comes to all things food and drink; even going so far as to spend days at a time in the kitchen baking so as to treat those she cares about, or making her own tea to be enjoyed by all.

Weaknesses:
☠ Fairy-Tale Thinker- oftentimes looking at life as though it were a story in one of her books; Mercy-Rose does sometimes hold quite a naive concept over what she believes good and evil to be, however, this does not stop her from attempting to see the good in all those around her, even if it does end with her being the one getting hurt by their actions or choices.
☠ Emotion Control- having roamed the Earth for over a thousand years; Mercy-Rose's control over her emotions has began to wane slightly, causing her to (on occasion) lose control altogether, and to allow her emotions to get the better of her in some situations faced.
☠ Tabitha Moonwell- closest to her sister than anyone else she has ever known; Mercy-Rose has always felt a strong sense of responsibility, and a protective instinct when it comes to her younger sister, Tabitha, further enhanced once the both of them became original vampires. The young woman's bond with her sister going so far that she is more than willing to do anything to keep Tabitha smiling, and to do all that she can to prevent her from being hurt by anyone... including herself.

Brief Biography:
Once a Princess of royal blood, and next in line to take the throne as the new Queen from her parents; Mercy-Rose is one of the very first vampires known to roam the earth, making her one of the few Originals recognized throughout the supernatural world, largely in part due to the questionable reputation following that of her younger sisters name; Tabitha’s reputation well earned by her rather eccentric nature, and questionable choices made, leaving her older sister to, more times than none, clean up after her- though it is clear to all whom know the pair that their bond is stronger than any other they have seen, managing to survive all that history has thrown at the pair without fault, or worry of breaking.

Choosing her bloodline (much like that of her sister) rather carefully, Mercy-Rose is far more conservative with her choices, and as such has far less ‘children’ sired by her hand; however, those lucky enough to be accepted by the woman have all been known to be taken closely under her wing, a fair majority of them choose to follow closely behind, many making the decision to reside within the Moonwell castle, kept safe and well-cared for under the rule and protection of the woman herself.

Not as much of a ‘show boat’ like her younger sister; Mercy-Rose instead chooses to throw herself into the intellectual world of art and academics, owning more than several galleries, libraries and museums throughout the world including: the National Gallery, the British Museum, and the London Library in London, the Louvre in Paris, the New York Public Library in New York, the Acropolis Museum in Athens, and the Melbourne Museum, and City Library in Australia. Nevertheless, Mercy-Rose chooses to title herself, and to work as a museum curator and researcher within the walls of the institutes that she herself owns, funds and runs.

Aside from that which is recorded and documented in books, not much else is known about Mercy-Rose’s history, or the history of her family- however, it has been noted by her 'children', and those whom know her well (all of whom have been searching for her, and carrying on her work in her absence), that the woman has not been seen for approximately the last forty years...







Original Vampire Abilities: To be written.







Other: A treasured gift, and heirloom once given to her by the man she was once set to marry; Mercy-Rose is rarely ever seen without the beautiful golden necklace adorned around her neck, the pendant hung delicately from the chain containing a single, though small red rose, enchanted by a young witch and now encased within a tear-shaped glass dome.

Caring for her younger sister more than anyone else within the world, and wanting nothing more than to encourage her artistic nature; Mercy-Rose does all that she can to help her sister on the path of an artisan, even going so far as to host her artwork and novels within the museums and libraries she herself owns, and on occasion, throwing gala's and other events to show her sister just how much her work is loved by those who see them.

Not particularly agreeing with the way of life that comes with what they are; Mercy-Rose, unless in dire need or out of control of her blood-lust, will not feed upon a human without their consent- the woman instead choosing to give them the choice; allowing those who willingly offer their blood a home within her families castle, and being sure that those of her bloodline follow by example, the same respect. However, when there is no human willing to allow her to feed, and if times become desperate enough, Mercy has been known to 'borrow' only what she needs from blood banks, refusing to harm any innocents.

♦ Exceedingly Intelligent ♦ Oftentimes Relentless ♦ Tremendously Loyal ♦ Blunt and Tactless ♦ Extremely Quick-Witted ♦ Socially Sensitive ♦ Easily Frustrated ♦

Seen by all those who happen to be lucky enough to know her as an extremely forceful, and a rather independent young witch; Eretria has always been noted to not only be exceedingly intelligent, but also a relatively hard working, and the efficient individual- her time of study not only within the safety of her coven, but also the education systems over time proving her to be quite studious when she feels the need to be, and on most times, ends with her coming out within the top percentage of her classes; her magical capabilities coupled with her readily relied on logic helping her to deduce, and to search out information needed, and that others would have missed otherwise. Though on the most occasion known to show a vast amount of social conscience, but also social tenacity and compassion; Eretria’s strong emphasis on logic has, more times than none, made her quite the sceptical about accepting almost anything without being presented with any sort of rational proof, or hard and physical evidence; nevertheless, as the years have passed her by, and she has seen and learnt more of the world around her, she had become slightly more willing to accept things as they are, and it more willing to also come to intuitive conclusions.

While showing a rather high sense of responsibility, and a fairly low sense of remorse for the actions of her past, Eretria rarely ever regrets any of the choices that she has made which have led her to where it is that she stands in the present- the very free-spirited young woman usually always seen to be full of life, and on occasion, coming across to those around her as sharp of tongue, and extremely quick-witted; her light cynicism, and on the rare occasion, snarky attitude oftentimes leaving her to be the voice of reason among the more impulsive of her friends and coven, however to varying levels of success. Nevertheless, in spite of her straitlaced disposition, Eretria is by no means above using coercion and threats to get just what it is that she wants; the witch learning at a very young age that she needs to be unafraid to stand up to not only her enemies, but also to those she both calls and considers to be her friends; especially when she truly believes it to be in their best interest, or when she feels in her heart that they are in the wrong.

However, it is shown in the past that Eretria is more than capable of becoming extremely cruel, and exceedingly harsh towards all and any of those that choose to cross her, or those of whom she may dislike; her strong determination, mixed with her unbridled focus showing that she can (when the time calls for it) become absolutely relentless, the witch herself, not above taking revenge out on those who have wronged her, or who have or would choose to hurt those she loves, both in the past and present- whether it be as simple as casting a small hex, or something of a more… permanent nature such as taking away another’s powers, or if the situation calls for it, taking away another’s life.

Due to her overly opinionated, and oftentimes interfering nature; Eretria, in her younger years, held fast to her status of being quite the bossy know-it-all, her sometimes abrasive attitude, masked with her many deep insecurities and rather strong fear of failure, causing her to (most times) feel the need that she has to prove herself to those around her- however, this is partly because of the many people who look down upon her due to the reputation that follows her as a witch. Even so, Eretria never truly allows anyone to use her past life as a means to bully or belittle her, and never has any issues when it comes to both ignoring, or standing up to bigots and bullies; moreover, despite her strong confidence in her abilities, she is rarely ever shown to be arrogant or conceited, and although she is not seen to be as short tempered as some of her friends and coven, she is quick to get annoyed and frustrated- never once backing down from an argument; a trait that has been exceedingly evident throughout her time spent wandering the Earth.

Once a Princess of royal blood, and next in line to take the throne as the new Queen from her parents; Mercy-Rose is one of the very first vampires known to roam the earth, making her one of the few Originals recognized throughout the supernatural world, largely in part due to the questionable reputation following that of her younger sisters name; Tabitha’s reputation well earned by her rather eccentric nature, and questionable choices made, leaving her older sister to, more times than none, clean up after her- though it is clear to all whom know the pair that their bond is stronger than any other they have seen, managing to survive all that history has thrown at the pair without fault, or worry of breaking.

Choosing her bloodline (much like that of her sister) rather carefully, Mercy-Rose is far more conservative with her choices, and as such has far less ‘children’ sired by her hand; however, those lucky enough to be accepted by the woman have all been known to be taken closely under her wing, a fair majority of them choose to follow closely behind, many making the decision to reside within the Moonwell castle, kept safe and well-cared for under the rule and protection of the woman herself.

Not as much of a ‘show boat’ like her younger sister; Mercy-Rose instead chooses to throw herself into the intellectual world of art and academics, owning more than several galleries, libraries and museums throughout the world including: the National Gallery, the British Museum, and the London Library in London, the Louvre in Paris, the New York Public Library in New York, the Acropolis Museum in Athens, and the Melbourne Museum, and City Library in Australia. Nevertheless, Mercy-Rose chooses to title herself, and to work as a museum curator and researcher within the walls of the institutes that she herself owns, funds and runs.

Aside from that which is recorded and documented in books, not much else is known about Mercy-Rose’s history, or the history of her family- however, it has been noted by her 'children', and those whom know her well (all of whom have been searching for her, and carrying on her work in her absence), that the woman has not been seen for approximately the last forty years...

Not particularly agreeing with the way of life that comes with what they are; Mercy-Rose, unless in dire need or out of control of her blood-lust, will not feed upon a human without their consent- the woman instead choosing to give them the choice; allowing those who willingly offer their blood a home within her families castle, and being sure that those of her bloodline follow by example, the same respect. Her Leukemia:
Leukemia is a type of malignancy (cancer) of blood cell; in luekemia, abnormal blood cells are produced within the bone marrow- the cells that are responsible for fighting off infection- however, the abnormal cells within leukemia don’t function in the same way as normal white blood cells. The leukemia cells continue to both grow and divide, eventually crowding out the normal blood cells, and more times than none the end result is that it becomes too difficult for the body to continue fighting off infections, to control bleeding, and to transport oxygen to where it is most needed.

There are different types of leukemia, each based upon how quickly the disease develops over the course of time, and the type of abnormal cells produced.

The exact cause of leukemia is not known, however, it is thought to involve a combination of genetic and environmental factors. Leukemia cells have acquired mutations in their DNA that cause them to grow abnormally, and to lose functions of typical white blood cells; though it is not clear what causes these mutations to occur. One type of change in the cells DNA that is common in leukemias is known as a chromosome translocation. In this process, a portion of one chromosome breaks off and attaches to a different chromosome. One translocation seen in almost all cases of CML, and sometimes in other types of leukemia is an exchange of DNA between chromosomes ‘nine’ and ‘twenty-two’, which leads to what is known as the Philadelphia chromosome. This creates an oncongene (cancer-promoting gene) known as BCR-ABL; this change in DNA is not inherited, but occurs sometime in the life of the affected individual.

Most cases of leukemia are not believed to be hereditary, however certain genetic mutations and conditions can be passed along to offspring that increase the chances of developing leukemia. A condition known as Li-Fraumeni syndrome is characterized by an inherited mutation in a tumor suppressor gene known as TP53, and individuals with this condition have an increased risk of leukemia and other cancers. Other hereditary conditions that can increase the risk of developing leukemia include down syndrome, neurofibromatosis type one, ataxia telangiectasia, and Noonan syndrome.

Signs and Symptoms of Leukemia:
Symptoms and signs of leukemia depend upon the type of leukemia; slow-growing or chronic leukemia may not cause any symptoms at the outset, while aggressive or rapidly growing leukemia may lead to severe symptoms. The symptoms of leukemia arise from a loss of function of the normal blood cells or accumulation of te abnormal cells in the body.

Signs and symptoms of leukemia typically include the following:
⚜ Fevers.
⚜ Night Sweats.
⚜ Swollen lymph nodes that are usually painless.
⚜ Feelings of fatigue, tiredness.
⚜ Easy bleeding or bruising, causing bluish or purplish patches on the skin or tiny red spots on the skin, or recurring nosebleeds.

⚜ Bone or joint pain.
⚜ Weight loss that is otherwise unexplained, or loss of appetite.
⚜ Enlargement of the spleen or liver, which can lead to abdominal pain or swelling.

However, if leukemia cells have infiltrated the brain, symptoms such as headaches, seizures, confusion, loss of muscle control, and vomiting can also occur.

Treatment for Leukemia:
There are a number of different medical approaches to the treatment of leukemia. Treatment will typically depend upon the type of leukemia, the patient's age and health status, as well as whether or not the leukemia cells have spread to the cerebrospinal fluid. The genetic changes or specific characteristics of the leukemia cells as determined in the laboratory can also determine the type of treatment that may be most appropriate.

Watchful waiting may be an option for some people with a chronic leukemia who do not have symptoms. This involves close monitoring of the disease so that treatment can begin when symptoms develop. Watchful waiting allows the patient to avoid or postpone the side effects of treatment. The risk of waiting is that it may eliminate the possibility of controlling the leukemia before it worsens.

Treatments for leukemia include chemotherapy (major treatment modality for leukemia), radiation therapy, biological therapy, targeted therapy, and stem cell transplant. Combinations of these treatments may be used.

Many patients opt to receive a second opinion before beginning treatment for leukemia. In most cases, there is time to receive a second opinion and consider treatment options without making the treatment less effective. However, in rare cases of very aggressive leukemias, treatment must begin immediately. Hobbies: Not willing to allow the racial profiling against her species, or her older sister's overly protective and cautious temperament to get in the way of her living her life the way that she wants to, Lailah shows great talent and love when it comes to things like music, and reading; the young woman especially skilled at both singing and playing the piano for her friends, and her family.

Strengths:
⚜ Flight- growing up under the careful guiding eye of first her father, and then her sister, Lailah is able to fly using the large wings she has due to her birthright; however, while she is able to fly long distances, it does indeed drain her energy forcing her to have to land and rest.
⚜ Multi-lingual- raised by her older sister, and looking up to her, Lailah very quickly took to her sister's love of learning new languages, and can so far speak, read and write in Enochian (language of angels), English, Spanish, French, and Chinese.
⚜ Musical- exceptionally gifted when it comes to the musical arts, Lailah is exceedingly skilled when it comes to both singing, and playing the piano, causing some (in the past) to state that she has the 'voice of an angel'.

Weaknesses:
☠ Slowed Down- while she is capable of reaching incredible speeds when soaring freely through the skies; Lailah's wings are quite large and still growing, the tips of which are starting to drag lightly over the ground behind her, causing her movements to become slightly slower than that of a normal person when she has them showing, even when she seems to be rushing about.
☠ Exceptional Beauty- thanks to her heritage, Lailah is exceptionally beautiful to many of those who look upon her; and naturally, though oftentimes unintentionally, draws in and gains the attention of those who hold both well, or ill intent towards her- and much like her sister before her, while she has always been told she is pretty, Lailah doesn't realize the extent of which her attraction extends, and tends to become rather shy and humble towards those who try to compliment, or explain this to her.
☠ Aura of Light/ Smell- unbeknownst to her and thanks in large part to her angel blood; Lailah gives off a particular scent (strawberries and cream), as well as a soft and almost undetectable aura of light which are both able to be detected by other supernatural creatures, and hunters- the young woman herself not aware of either of these traits.
☠ Physical Weakness- born an angel, Lailah is well known to be physically weaker than those who are born of other races; her weakness not helping her any when it comes to the fact that her kind are hunted more than any other.

Other: Though never really talking about it without fist needing to be asked, Lailah has a small (however meaningful) tattoo situated just behind her right ear; the tattoo itself both chosen and done without the knowledge, or even the permission of her sister- and while she knows Seraphina wouldn't exactly understand, she plans on getting another when she feels like the time is right.

Quite the sentimental person and wanting to cherish every memory that she can, Lailah loves taking photos with her family and friends, and has a collection of photo-books and frames placed around her room, as well as a collage on the wall over her bed, filled with photos that she has taken throughout her life so far.
