Perhaps if our characters aren't to fight, they can team up then. That is, of course, assuming that you have such a roleplay somewhere, or the time and resources to participate in one in the distant future. Just a thought, since I like the idea of two supernatural swordsmen traveling the land and kicking ass.

It could be an interesting idea, yeah. I'm considering the possibility of creating my own role-play centred around the ideas I developed for each of the characters I've made on this site so far -- it's more a matter of whether or not I have time to make them happen. I would imagine the role-play built around the ideas I've created with Abel is likely to resemble Soul Calibur and Castlevania more than anything, with little bits of a few of my old favourite RPGs as well.

Also, I'm working on that PM -- a lot of things have been getting in the way since I woke up.

Aria of Sorrow is badass, yeah. I'm actually a long time Soul Calibur player -- very high level Soul Calibur V player actually.

I sold my PS3 about a year ago and bought a PS4. The only regret I have is letting Soul Calibur V go with it. I really, really wish they'd adapt SCV for the PS4 or come out with a new Souls game soon. I have a friend who still has a PS4 and owns SCV, so perhaps if you still have the game we could fight online.

I wouldn't say that I used to be a master at it or anything, but I could play a /mean/ Astaroth and Dampierre. I used to get early kills by doing Astaroth's counter attack knee to drop an opponent, then I'd pick 'em up by the head, grab them and chuck 'em into the air and perform that flaming upwards crescent swing that does like 70% damage. It wasn't a true combo, but most players didn't have the presence of mind to roll out of the way fast enough when they hit the ground to avoid the swing.

Ah, yeah -- I've got a PS4 but I've got no intentions of getting rid of my PS3. No idea what sort of connection we'd have (I'm from Australia) but we could certainly give it a try. I've been the guy running most of the online sessions for the (good) Oceania players since the game came out, and Japanese players join a fair bit too. I allow people from other regions in if they're respectful and have a connection that I can Just Guard in -- sometimes I'll tolerate worse connections if I'm playing really casually.

I actually use everyone to an extent (blame having Edge Master as my fourth main character), but my main is Z.W.E.I. and a lot of people think I'm actually the best player with him period. I'm often nowhere near at my best when I play though -- blame the whole 'always multitasking and can never focus' thing I mentioned in the hang-out thread. I'm ultimately a casual player at heart despite my skill level -- this is the case for all fighting games actually, since I play a lot of them. Soul Calibur V is the only 3D fighting game I particularly like though; honestly, I'm a 2D fighting game player at heart. That sounds like a cool way to beat people with Astaroth though -- strategy is more important than combos anyway.

Yup, but like I said it's been at least a year since I played the game in earnest, and normally I don't ask my friend to bring his PS3 over. Hence, I've forgotten virtually all of the techniques. I suck now, but still find it fun to frig around.

Makes sense; honestly, I go long periods of time without playing myself -- I only recently started playing some of my higher level Japanese opponents again. Due to being able to play every character, I also teach other people how to play the characters and how to handle various match-ups -- I tutor people on fighting games as a hobby.
