Lee was riding a ostrich horse to Omashu. He was going there to train under the king. He had to hide his earthbending from fire nation colonies, and villages rules by them. Lee saw a village up ahead and saw no fire nation symbols. He rose the ostrich horse into it.

Alex was hiding herself in one off the old houses in the village Lee entered. There were a handful villagers left from all the attacks and mostly they where also on a trip toward the big earth city Omachu. Alex looked outside the window, yet she stayed into the shadows so no body would see her. A week ago she had found the city by night and as always she held herself hidden. She ran away half a year ago from 'Home', and was in a search for the 'White Lotus'.. But she had lost her faith and didn't believe that they would be able to help her. Just like she had lost faith in her right leg, after the Akni Kai her father forced her to. It wasn't easy to be the daughter of Captain Zhao. She knew that now.

Lee stopped and looked around seeing the village looked abandoned. He pet the ostrich horse and said "Wait here boy..Lee stepped and began using his sonar. He trained with his father, who trained under King Bumi himself and he learned Neutral jing. Sense he learned that his earthbending skills become greater and he was stronger. He felt no vibrations. Lee began looking for some people or food. "anyone here? I promise not to hurt you. Im just looking for some food and feed for my ostrich horse." He walked into a building and saw a white lotus piece.

''Don't touch that'' Alexandra said and moved away from behind some boxes, the last week she had not let her wounded leg rest and now it was totally refusing to held her weight. She looked at him. ''I may have a lame leg.. But I can still hurt you'' she said as a warning, he could see on the colors she wore that she was from the fire nation. She used her hands to move around the room, she shove to the piece and took it in her hand, she putted it back in a pocket. ''What are you doing here?'' she asked and looked at him.

Lee felt her vibrations and used the dirt from a fallen plant to make small rock pellets . He looked at her and said "Fire nation..what are you doing here?" He saw her leg. " I won't fight you. I don't fight anyone who is injured. I don't want to fight. I'm just looking for food and some feed for a ostrich horse." Lee then said " I know of the white lotus. I was trained by King Bumi..he gave me this." Lee showed the piece he had.

Alex sighed. "Is everyone like that? It's a miracle that you don't ask what I did with the village " she said and pointed at some boxes. "There.. take it and leave..." she said. It was the last food but he didn't need to know that.

Alex sat against a broken box. ''I am not hurt... I am abandoned and my leg doesn't live anymore... Or it is close to dying probably'' she said and looked at him. ''Why would you help me? I am a fire bender.. I am the daughter of Captain Zhao.. One of the Captains that is trying to ruin the earth nation by destroying villages without caring for women and children'' she said, he could hear the hate in her voice. She did hate her father for what he did to her, yet she hated him more for killing people or destroying their life.

''I'll see what happens in the future..'' she said and with a little help of the boxes she got onto them. ''Did you say something about clothes?'' she asked and looked at him. Alex had not looked at him during him helping her getting dressed. ''T-thank you'' she said when he was done with the pants. She shook her fire red head. ''N-no.. T-the top I-I can do m-myself...'' she mumbled and hated it that she was stuttering so badly. She sat in front of him with only wearing a beige pants and her bra. She really felt uncomfortable. Lee nods at her and left th shirt on a chair. He walked out and saw a old fence board. He smiled and broke the ends off easily and knew it would be perfect. He pets the ostrich horse "We will be going soon budd," It chirped a bit and pecked its side. He knocked on the door. "I found a old fence board. If its to long I could break it more for you.: Lee stopped his sonar picked something up. The ostrich horse lifted it head up. What ever was coming was fast. He looked and narrowed his eyes and saw men on Kommodo Rhinos.

Alex changed fast when he left and looked up. ''You can come in'' she said and smiled some. She heard him get quiet and smelled something weird.. It smelled like fire and coal. ''Lee... Hurry! That are the Rhinos..'' she said and tried to get up, her feet allowed her to stumble to the door and she wanted to pull him inside yet she knew it was too late. She walked outside, taking the staff he made for her to lean on. ''Rhinos..'' she said and looked deadly at them. She saw the Ostrich Horse and got the ropes and laid them in Lee's hand. She looked at them. ''We will have to fight..'' she whispered. ''This are the bad guys among the outcasts...'' she then whispered. She pointed to a almost bald one. ''baldy there is the leader...'' she whispered. ''Yet he...'' she said and pointed to a man which had a all covered face. ''Is more dangerous... they mostly use bombs and firework..'' she said.

Lee pets the ostrich horse to calm it down. He didnt want it to get hurt. "Go!" he said to it. The ostrich horse ran off fast. Lee knew it would be hard to get around now but he didnt want it to get hurt. He said "I will try and stop them." He slammed his foot in the ground a large crater formed,. He raised his hands and a large wall of stone formed. "This may not hold with the bombmer man but it will buy us some time." He put her on his back. Lee said "hang on!" He rose them up on stone piles and began slidng on them to move fast
(Imagine when toph slided on Rocks to get back to Ba Sing Se)

Alex didn't know what happened, before she could say something he took her on his back and used earth bending to get away fast. She clung herself to him as good as she could and looked at him. ''Nice move.. I had not expect this'' she said and smiled some. She felt the air going trough her hair and laughed some. This was quite nice! She looked at him. ''I never knew that earth bending could be this nice'' she said and it remembered her off riding her own ostrish horse as hard as he could. She looked back and then leaned against him again. She could feel that he had worked a lot to get muscles and that he was really strong. ''Did you think about something that we are gonna 'be' once entering Omashu? And in front of your friend... I bet they all will be wanting to see me death if they knew I am a fire bender'' she said and laid her head on his shoulder.

I will say your a refugee, and the king knows me. he trained me and my dad. I think he will trust me if I said your a refugee. You just cant bend." Lee said smiling at her. He continued moving fast on the earth as if he was just jogging. Ever sense he learned Neutral Jing, he has become much stronger and his earthbending has become much better. "I can do great earthbending, after learning Neautral Jing. Its the key component to earthbending. Any earthbender can learn it.'

Alex nodded. ''I understand.. But.. About the bending... If you help me not to get upset, I'll not bend..'' she said and leaned some extra against him. ''I don't mind that your strong.. I can't help you in battles.. So you have to fight for two'' she said and rested her chin on his shoulder. ''Hey look... There is your pet'' she said and pointed at the Ostrish Horse. With that move she lost her balance and was about to fall from his back.
