Real age(if applicable, some may not remember): (21) unknown
Human age: (20) unknown
Gender: m
Crush: none.. unless you count the lingering effects of the bond with his now deceased sire.
Relationship: doesn't know anybody
Normal powers(if any): Unnerving aura: gives off an 'unnatural' vibe. The effect of this depends on the sensitivity of others. Normal humans would notice little unless they have particular good senses or heavily rely on their gut. Anyone with supernatural senses or divination-like abilities can immediately sense a powerful and dangerous presence. Regular animals avoid him. (Note: he isn't actually powerful, he just 'feels' powerful)
Demon's powers(if known yet): Susceptible: When in Demon form he has no agency beyond self preservation. He will execute any direct command given when entering form, commands given by a stronger minded person override the previous one. If no command is given, the default is the one he's heard the most: 'Drink'. (Note: active commands only. 'Do X' , 'Go to Y' or 'Find Z' works, but 'Do't X' , 'Stay here' and 'Stop Y' don't.) Absorbing aura: Blood, magic, life force, apple juice, etc. This aura pulls at nearby sources of energy and starts to drain them. Unable to properly control this it lashes out at whatever source is nearest and drinks energy until depleted or a greater source comes in range. Since he doesn't have the skill needed to store the energy, everything drained is expended directly, powering this aura, the unnerving aura and his physical body (minor healing, speed boost, reflexes) If there's nothing to drain nearby demon form can't sustain itself and disappears quickly, leaving an exhausted normal form.
Normal form: Looking pale and gaunt for a vampire. Dressed in rags and adorned with bruises and scarring around the wrists and ankles. his long face looks frightened and exhausted, his long thin hair bleak and fuzzy. A regular human might mistake him for a human, although a sickly looking one.
Demon form: The change, as severely underdeveloped, is minor. His eyes fall into a blank, thousand yard stare and small cracks in the skin around his eyes form. To anyone with supernatural senses these cracks seem to pulsate with energy. The most notable chance however is his chance in stance and movement. Slouched over, swaying slowly and rhythmically, combined with erratic and explosive pouncing and clawing. Much like an extremely nimble version of a fast zombie.
Blood Preference(human, animal or both): vampire
Personality: hesitant but somewhat driven to start a new life. calm and quiet voice, as if speaking carefully.
Short Bio(optional):
"There are some things taboo even to the most twisted of souls. Acts of gluttony and savagery even vampires look down upon. But for the brave bastards who dare break them there is power to be had. Though in the end you become dependent on it."
That explanation... I've heard every night for so long i lost track. Every night before he.. It is his ritual i suppose, or maybe he needs someone to talk to to keep insanity at bay. I don't know, I never had the energy to reply, and he's never said anything else.
From what I figured out.. we are vampires. Or something like it in any case. Every night he brings people.. no.. creatures. Sometimes it's humans, but sometimes it's cows, and more often it's monsters. Vampires, giant wolves, weird creatures I've never seen before. The others drink from what he brings in, and I have to drink from them. Then he drinks from me. The other's can't speak. Not anymore. But their faces tell me this is wrong. I'm in no position to make choices though. What I want hasn't been relevant since before I.. I can't remember now. Damn.. I wanted to remember something important. There was a name and a face.. someone I was trying to remember... damn.
I hear a muffled bang behind my cell door. Accompanied with shouting and then nothing... I feel my sire's presence subside. I feel uneasy but I can't move in these chains, so I pretend to sleep. I hear the door open. The room fills with the sweet scent of blood and the coarse scent of tobacco. I feel fidgeting with my chains, I sneak a peak at the person. It's a human. He's got a trench goat, cowboy hat and a lit cigar. Some type of firearm is lying by his side as he kneels to unlock my chains. Now what happens next isn't really my fault right? I mean.. reflexes and blood-lust and stuff.. right? Well I guess i am a monster when freed as well. Cause he's dead and drained..
I leave my room to find sire and the others dead or bleeding out... well... In for a penny... I drink what's left of the others. No good. Still hungry... Can I drink sire? Some force that ties me to him says no. But as it turns out... no force overcomes thirst.
So now I am free and sated for the first time in... ever? Yes, probably. I'm going to need a name, and find some friends. Find out who or what i am. Leaving the basement I find myself in an abandoned cottage, moonshine peers trough a slit in the thick canvas curtains. Carefully looking outside I see trees, and light in the distance.
Other: Knows pretty much nothing about anything, has no control over his powers save for instinctive use.
Appearance: Imagine the archetypal dad. Give him a stern face and put him in a beige trench coat and give him salt n pepper colored hair.
Personality: Matt is calm and professional. His demeanor gives the impression of a worried dad, but in truth he is quite practical and runs his department fairly hands-off. He believes in letting his subordinates learn and grow trough experience and gives them room to make mistakes, but always makes sure to have their back and keep a hand over their head.
Short bio(optional): Detective Burkley is an old veteran of the force. He's seen some shit, but nothing he cares to talk about often. He never talks about his personal life, if he even has one. It's never clear how much he knows, or what he's been trough. All that is known is that he's been on the force longer than anyone there.
Other: While not much is known, any cop on the force will tell you outlandish stories about the detectives past. All of them wildly vary and none of them true, probably.
