"What happened!?" Alicia repeats her question more clearly, this time more audible. "Oh God--- did Rick hurt you?" She adds, looking at Liz hold her shoulder. She glanced over at him before looking back at her best friend.

Zain's eyes widened as he watched Liz. She was clearly a lot more formidable than she looked. He couldn't help but be a little intrigued. He was also happy to have found out that the girl watching was on their side.
"Do you need to get that looked at? I can take you to a doctor or home.. though you said you have a car, don't you?"

"That guy pushed Zain into me, damn asshole.." Liz pulls her long sleeve shirt off so shes in a tank top and looks at her shoulder which is totally covered in bruise. "Thanks for asking Zain, but yea my cars right over there" She again points to the yellow Camaro, "Alicia can come with me, but um, do you maybe want my number so I can let you know if I'm okay?" Liz says, surprising herself with the question

Zain nodded, "yeah I thought so.." he pulled his phone out of his pocket and tapped the screen a few times, unlocking it. "Sure.. add your friend's number too in case I can't reach you.." he held the phone out to her, the 'add contact' screen already up and ready.

Alicia watched her friend ask for the guy's phone number. She drew her hands together for one dramatic clap as he agreed and offered Liz his cell phone, even asking her to add Alicia's number, too. "Lovely! Liz, if your arm is still sore, perhaps I should drive?" She offered, knowing that driving with a sore arm would only make the soreness worse.

Liz smirked to herself a little as she plugged in both her and Alicias numbers and then handed Zain her own phone so he could then add his number. She answered Alicia by saying "Sure thanks, that would be awesome of you"

Zain took his phone back and pocketed it. "Let me know how your arm is, alright?" he picked up his now empty smoothie bottle and walked towards the door of his car. He smiled a calm smile at the girls and gave them a two-fingered wave before sliding into the seat of his car and belting up.

Liz turned to Alicia excitedly and waved back at Zain, then proceeded to pull Alicia towards her car rather roughly. When they got to her car she said "I really like him, like I really, really like him" She smiles and takes her out of its ponytail so it cascades across her shoulders. They get in the car, Alicia driving and Liz pulls out her phone and sends Zain a message that read: "Hey, we're on our way to the hospital", she shuts her phone off, waiting eagerly for a reply.

Alicia smiles, taking her eyes off the road for a quick second to glance at Liz. "Haha, I know. I saw the way you looked at him," she replied. She comes to a red stop light and stops. Waiting for it to turn green, she drums her fingers on the steering wheel. It finally switches to green and she makes her left turn. "Almost at the hospital," she announces. Dramatically, she adds, "..so don't die on me now, Liz! There's still hope!"

Liz laughs and says "So if you can tell then he probably knows too, that just great", She smiles and looks out the window. Liz turns to Alicia and says "Do you think he might agree to hang out with me maybe?"

She pulls into the hospital parking lot. "Yes! There's no way he wouldn't agree to hanging out with you. It seemed like he liked you as well." Alicia smiles at her friend before parking and stepping out of the car. "Alright, let's go get you checked on," she says as she starts walking towards the hospital entrance.

Zain chewed on his lip, tapping the steering wheel for a moment, watching the girls leave before he too started up the car and left for home. The drive home was long and full of traffic and he wearily opened the door when he got home. "I'm hoooome..." he kicked the door shut behind him and braced for impact - first from a giant ball of fluff, next from a tiny ball of human.
"Zaaaaaiiiiiinnnnnnnn!" a tiny body clung to his leg, whilst a huge white samoyed attacked his face with slobber and a long pink tongue.
"Ah! I have been attacked! Save me! I'm not going to live!" the little boy errupted with laughter and started to claw at his stomach in his attempt to tickle Zain. The dog barked loudly and wagged her tail, pinning him up against the door as he laughed and tried to push her off.

After Alicia had reassured her, Liz stepped out of the car and put her phone in her back pocket. She started walking to the emergency waiting room with Alicia. "Should I call him when we know whats wrong instead of texting so I could ask him to hang out?", Liz chews her lip nervously.

Alicia thought for a moment, then nodded. "Sure, why not? It ensures you'll get a fast reply, plus, you'll get to hear the sound of his voice again." She looks at Liz and winks before laughing. They arrive at the waiting room.

Finally pushing the over-excited samoyed off his chest, Zain leaned down and picked up the little boy. "Hey Ethan, how are you doing buddy?"
"Zaaaaiiin! Zain spin!" Zain shook his head and smiled, spinning Ethan around before he felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. "Spinning has to stop for a minute bud, I have a message..." he fished the phone out of his pocket and checked the message from Liz. He smiled lightly, then winced, seeing that it was from a while ago and quickly tapped out a reply with his thumb: "hey hope you got there safe, relax when you get home - heroes need their beauty sleep too!"

Alicia and Liz check Liz in before sitting down. The room reeked of hand sanitizer and sweat. Thankfully, they only had to wait for about ten minutes before a nurse appeared in the doorway and Liz was called. "Finally! Let's go," Alicia said, standing up. The strong aroma of the waiting room had been starting to get to her.

Liz followed Alicia into the back with the nurse. The nurse sat her down on a big table and began looking at her arm. Liz suddenly felt her phone and buzz and immediately whipped out of her pocket, she smiled as she read Zains message and replied immediately: "Hey! they're looking at my arm right now, I'll call you when they know whats wrong", She sent the message and smirked to herself and then smiled cheerfully at Alicia, making her awars of who just messaged her.

Ethan squirmed and squealed, grabbing for the phone in Zain's hand. Reluctantly, Zain put the boy down and quickly found a child-friendly game for him to play, then handed the phone to him. Ethan happily took it and squealed as he pressed buttons and watched the colours flash. Zain smiled, then headed to the kitchen for a drink, petting his dog on the way past. "You'll be wanting a walk, huh girl?"

Ethan's pudgy fingers mashed the phone and all of a sudden the bright colours left and a screen of letters and words popped up. He frowned and pushed his bottom lip out as he pressed some of these letters, trying to get back to the game. He found a new game instead; this one had pictures! He pressed several of them, unknowingly sending a stream of letters and emojis to Liz's phone; "sup go hfckksf" monkeys, various fruits, a football and all of the different coloured hearts available.

Liz heard her phone buzz as she received spam from Zain. The messages were just emojis and random letter so she was pretty confused. As the doctor finished putting a cast on her arm she walked out to her car wit Alicia and dialed zains number. She sat in the passenger seat as the phone rang, waiting for Zain to pick up. She chewed her lip nervously, wondering how many rings before he answered.
