I am something of a fan of Judge Dredd. I never actually read the comics, so I do not plan to follow the canon timeline. Neither did I much care the the Stallone version of the story. But the more recent remake was fairly decent.
Dark and grisly is not my usual thing. I am making an exception here. If you are squeamish, this is not the RP for you. Please note: 18+ is tagged. Site rules still apply. Fade to black as site rules require.
For the most part members will play the part of Judges. If some of you want, you can play bad guys - or both. (Yes, you can run more than one character.) I do want a mix. The RP will get pretty boring if we are all bad guys or all Judges. Sorry, but no psychics as PC's. (I am still debating whether to even have mutants.)
I plan to use Megacity One. (See Map) The Megacity will be subdivided into sectors called City Blocks.

Some differences from the Comics:
Judges will play more of a Law Enforcement role, rather than a military one. In the comics they literally nuked a megacity to contain a zombie outbreak.
No zombies. Never been a fan of the idea.
This will be a Dystopia. The comics don't much get into life outside the problems Judges face. Here I plan to get involved in the 1% who are literate and have real skills in technology. Have the population is illiterate. There are no public schools nor any laws that require a kid go to school. 98% of the population is unemployed.

The more I read about the Judge Dredd setting, the more I like it as it is. I just want to avoid conflict with canon characters, etc.

Yes, you'll need one once I get enough people together to start this. We all have an idea what you will look like in uniform ... LOL. But a pic of what you look like under the mask would be nice. I am normally not picky about format, but I will require some info.
