For those who haven't seen me around, welcome. For those that have, welcome back. I've tried 1x1 RPing exactly one time, and it went so horribly (Haha... gotta love net stalkers) that it's been over five years and I'm just now trying to give it a second shot. It's kinda silly to avoid it when a lot of group RPs mainly have you interacting with a couple of characters as opposed to the entire group evenly. Anyway, for now I'm just looking for a single partner to test the waters with and see where things go from there.
Now to summarize a bit about my personal tastes:
- RPs always feel lacking to me without some romance (Though I rarely enjoy it as the primary focus), so that's to be expected on some level no matter what we end up getting into genre wise. I have no interest in mature romantic content though, so a hard PG13 limit here.
- Anything else is fair game as far as mature content goes.
- I'm not an every day sort of poster, I tend to want to veg after work is over and sleep until work begins. That's not a hard rule, but beware if you prefer an extremely active partner.
- I don't play female characters except in rare circumstances. I do enjoy non-binary characters sometimes, but it's primarily males from me, hence the (MsF) in the title. Not really into MxM as a matter of personal preference.
- I tend to post between 5-12 paragraphs, sometimes more, never less. This isn't really a hard rule (I imagine 1x1's flow differently, and it might get burdensome to keep that sort of length when carrying on a conversation that's not collabed) but I think posting length compatibility is pretty important to finding a groove in an RP. If you're posting 20+ paragraphs I'll feel obligated to do the same and then burn out, and if it's fewer than five I'm probably going to be left wanting more out of my partner.
- Except in very rare cases I don't do fandoms, sorry.
- I also rarely use IRL faceclaims, as a minor note.
Now as far as genres go I'm pretty open. I'm a huge history nerd, so anything pre 20th century is a big plus for me, whether based on actual history (Although with a female partner that gets to be a bit boring if we're being 100% accurate, because enforced gender norms. So maybe 99% accurate.) or simply fantasy. I don't really mind modern settings too much, but I don't have an interest if it's some sort of modern military RP. I'm technically open to futuristic RPs, but it's very rare that one catches my attention.
Right now I'm pretty interested in Victorian Britain, so something set in that time period (Whether historical or fantasy in nature) would be a big plus, or Steampunk (Although I tend to keep the futuristic technology rather limited in such settings). I don't have anything specific I'm set on at the moment however, and would prefer to discuss something together.
