Name: Edward McNeill
Age: 54
Gender: Male
Profession: Police and Federal agent Negotiator, PHD in Psychology and Communication
Social Network Status: (he really doesnt go in for that kind of thing)

Upbringing and History: Edward was born on the isle of Skye off the coast of Scotland. His family wasnt poor as most people believe scots crofters are, in fact they were quite well off in comparison. But the family preferred rural island life to the bustle of the mainland and Edward grew up quietly and happily. It became obvious to his parents and his school that he had a good and inquisitive mind and he generally excelled in most things. He was excessively thoughtful of others though, keeping his own problems completely to himself and dealing with them that way as well. He very quickly decided he wanted a career in the police forces, however his parents were discouraging, considering it a waste of his mental capabilities. So with this in mind he instead pursued a degree in Criminal psychology in the University of St Andrews.

His undergraduate tutors recognised both his abilities as well as his wishes and very quickly recommended him a career in Police negotiation and, after some consideration and discussion with his family, he dedicated himself fully to this path. As a young adult he was charismatic and one of those people who seemed to have everything sorted in their life. People naturally gravitated towards him and throughout his university years he had a large friendship group. However he was bad at keeping friends close, being someone who always insisted he was alright and generally ignored his own mental well-being. So those who wished to know him better hit a wall and never got any further. For some it was easy to accept while for others it was aggravating and they usually drifted away. He finished university and entered a Police academy to continue his pursuit of his career, gaining firearm and combat experience along with a sturdier mindset and an even more hardened exterior. He was very good at empathy, it was discovered, very good at watching a person and understanding their motives and actions. His tutors allowed him special opportunities to meet with experienced negotiators and be present at police interrogations.

It was in Police academy that he met his wife Catelyn. She was a fiery and passionate person and basically swept him off his feet. They laughed together and were excited together and generally their romance was pretty average. She wanted to go to america after they had finished their training. Edward did not like the idea but he never properly expressed this, again putting his feelings aside for others. They Graduated both with merit and Edward said goodbye to his family before taking the flight to New York, his new wife having already bought a house for them in the city. Edward wasn't happy in the city, it was far too busy and loud for his taste. But again he never said anything and finally began his Career as a Police negotiator. The district department was very glad to have him and eagerly gave him the job. He didnt have a perfect record of success, no one did, but the large majorities of high risk situations he was put into ended well without many human casualties and this was definately what Edward enjoyed doing.

He had chosen his career well and this was the source of happiness in his life. This did mean however, that he spent less and less time at home. The couple had a daughter two years after their marriage, Allison, and Edward doted on her and loved every minute of fatherhood. He was a good father, except for his continuous absence. Gradually Catelyn and he began to drift apart, sometimes there were rows, sometimes there was silence, but mostly they just began to ignore each other. Eventually Edward finally expressed his hatred of the city and his misery at having been dragged halfway across the world from all his family and friends and how much he wrongfully blamed her for it. It was the end of their marriage, Catelyn horribly bitter at having been lied too and pushed away for so many years and Edward just tired. It was an amicable divorce in general and they determinedly tried to work out the best way for them to still raise Allison together. It was well thought out and Edward and Catelyn had as much of an equal involvement in her life as possible. Nothing was perfect but they all moved forward together. Edward still had to stay in New York, but this was something he had to do for his daughter and he accepted that completely, continuing to find happiness and enjoyment in his work.

Power: (To be given by mods.) Human Database - At first level when asking someone a question you can immediately tell if they are lying or telling the truth.

Name: Yennefer McNeill
Age: 28

She is short and dumpy for her age and her hair is very rarely unknotted, usually being tied back with a black piece of linen.
Personality: Yennefer is gentle and somewhat mild mannered but firm when she needs to be. She can calmly take control of a situation and very rarely loses her temper, these traits being products of being a doctor. She is empathetic and sensible but not necessarily kind or warm-hearted which in her youth meant that she blurted out her thoughts and made those around her angry. To counter this she has developed a very polite personality, always observing the most diplomatic way of saying things. She has found it the best policy for her life in general. However this does not mean she is proper. She considers the confines and ideas of virginity and modesty to be meaningless and stupid and so generally has a flirtatious personality.

Backstory: Yennefer's parents were crofters, farming the land and raising herds of cows and goats. She always had an interest in bodies and how the animals survived and what they looked like when they died so it didnt take long for her to take an interest in medicine. Her parents were pretty supportive, her mother being especially proud of her and even allowing her to disect animals dead from disease. She experimented with herbs on sick animals, sometimes they died quicker but gradually her success grew further until she was the one her Village turned too when anything was ill. As she grew older she got itchy feet, she wanted to do more with her skills and knew of a monastery outside the city that trained women to heal the sick. It was a long way away but she was determined and her parents were so excited about their daughter's talents that they told the whole village and gathered support for her. Eventually all of the trustworthy Men of the village who could be spared were sent to escort her to the City, the send off being a large feast with everyone wishing her well and telling her to come back and visit when she could.

The journey there was somewhat dangerous but her bodyguards kept her safe and whenever one of them was injured in the line of duty she would quickly patch him up. They reached the monastery and the nuns there were very eager to take her on as a student. For a moment it was a little rocky, Yennefer ranting a little after being told she had to become a nun to heal the sick, but she quickly conceded defeat and tried to be demure about it. She stayed there for four years, becoming an excellent pupil, if a little frustrated at the confines on her actions and flirtations. A war erupted late into her training and she and some other sisters were brought to the outskirts of the battle to tend to the wounded they brought in. It was a shocking and hardening thing for her. She was not squeamish about bodies but the way some soldiers had been sliced and hacked apart turned her white. After the battle she left the nunnery and instead apprenticed under the Surgeon she had met in the battle. He was surprised at her request but was not particularly bigotted about women doctors and had certainly witnessed her prowess in the battle. She had just turned 19 when she left. The surgeons name was Kaleb and he was a fine and kindly man, happy to teach and help wherever he could. He took her to various places from the depths of a dungeon to the villages in mountain valleys to more battlefields and all the way he healed those who could pay him a small fee or offer him some food. Yennefer learnt well from him and eventually liked him very much. He was probably her first real crush but she herself never pursued it, him being much older than her.

Some few years after their meeting and Yennefer was ready to make her own way in the world. Amongst other things Kaleb had taught her he had also taught her to defend and fend for herself. Archery was something she was pretty good at and she always kept a few knives tucked in various places around her body. She had used them a few times already before she left. Generally she was not very strong of body, good at running and climbing but punching or pushing someone away would be difficult. However she was good at wriggling out of tight spaces and so she always escaped any trouble generally unharmed. She was concerned about the way the world was going. A darkness was coming over the land and it worried her, she felt like the earth was sick and she didnt not know how to cure it, which was rare for her.

It was around this time that she met a strange man, Merrick was his name, she had come to a village near to his estate to help stop the spread of some mystery sickness. He watched her for a while and when she was finally getting a little edgy and concerned he introduced himself and told her a great many fantastical things. She was skeptical at first but eventually after actually seeing his Dragon, a black graceful creature, she was convinced. It took a little consideration but eventually she agreed to becoming a so called 'Dragon tamer'. If this was the remedy the world needed then it was her duty to try and use it, to put her full dedication behind it.

Skills/Abilities:

Bonded Ability: She took on some of her dragon's earthshaking talents, suddenly gaining much more strength, gaining the ability to stamp her foot and create cracks in the ground or punch a wall and break it in half.

Skills: She is an incredibly experienced and adept healer, having expansive knowledge on most herbs and remedies wherever she goes and understanding a human body very well indeed.

She is well travelled and can fluently speak two other languages while knowing many more. She also has knowledge of the various states and how they are faring, friends amongst every reach of life telling her all that occurred in the various cities.

She is a pretty decent shot with a bow.

Character Theme - You Can't Take Me, I'm Free

Ruin's whole build is lean and wirey, short by most standards. Her skin is covered in tiny bronze scales that shimmer a red in light and can cast quite a dazzling display. Her horns are small along with her fangs but they both make her appearance suitably alien and frightening to look upon for most men. Her wings are thin with a parchment-like texture and the bones are brittle and light. Her tail is thin but very long and prehensile with a powerful grip. Her spine has small spikes running from the base of her neck to the small of her back. Her feet are raised somewhat like a dog's but larger, wider and with more strength behind them. Her eyes are an odd shimmering grey colour mostly, but they actually change depending upon the weather and her temperment.

Name - Ruin Grey
Age - 76
Race - Half Dragon, Half Human
Gender - Female
Sexuality - Pansexual

Allegiance – Technically allegiance to the Queen

Personality - Ruin has an almost legendary temper, unpredictable, violent when it comes and bloodthirsty. On the whole she distrusts all others around her and can casts a cold and steely aura about her wherever she goes. Her good will is hard won and to become her friend is an even greater miracle. However once given, her friendship and loyalty run deep in her heart and her responsibility for them ingrains itself upon her mind. She is not compassionate but she does have good intuition about most things and she can be very understanding when she can be bothered to. She is apathetic to all except those closest to her, she wouldnt abandon an innocent to die if she could help it but she does not trouble herself with the accidental casualties her battles can cause.

History - Ruin's mother was a Ranger from the tribe in the north, named Leeta, a fine hunter and a survivor, niece to the head of the House. Ruin’s father was the vibrant red dragon, Methuzar, who could transform himself into a human for short amounts of time. He possessed an oddly gentle and inquisitive temperament for a dragon and he enjoyed posing as a travelling minstrel in order to study these new humans whom had invaded his lands from across the water. Still he was noble and grand and old by any human standards. The pair met whilst Ruin's mother was on one of her scouting trips, a far more dangerous activity than most would think. He spent some time with her out in the wild and Ruin’s mother swiftly discovered he was a dragon. This caused a temporary lack of trust between them but gradually they worked past it and eventually they fell in love and had two children, Ruin and her elder brother Ruukan. Their relation was not much of a secret, having a dragon as your lover was a fine deterrent to violence. In fact the House Grey seemed bemusedly pleased with the union, especially when it produced children.

It was a surprise even for the Leeta and Methuzar, they hadnt even considered children a possibility. But Ruukan arrived and then Ruin followed soon after and they found happiness in parenthood together. They raised the pair as best they could, although Methuzar would often leave them to go about his wanderings, not being a static being and needing change and travel. Leeta didnt seem to mind and neither did their children, finding joy when their father was around and peace when he wasnt. They grew up strong and wild under the protection of their father until first Ruukan and then Ruin found their wanderlust and could no longer remain in one place. Ruin and her brother went separate ways, being of different dispositions. Ruukan chose to travel around the world with his father while Ruin stayed with her mother, learning to survive in the wild and gaining knowledge of healing from her amongst many other things. However they still met often and Ruukan has always been very protective of his sister.

But Ruin's life changed dramatically very suddenly. Whilst being children they had been surprisingly inconspicuous, The Tribe in the north did not make a point of telling all and sundry that one of their ladies had the bastard children of a dragon. But now, as adults, there was no keeping their existence a secret. For a while just their heritage made them too frightening to confront and they were left alone by the Queen's men. However gradually as they became more and more renowned the Queen of Hearts could no longer ignore them. They were officially declared outlaws and a substantial bounty placed upon their heads. Ruin and her mother lost contact with their family and had to secrete themselves away in the northernmost Mountains. They spent some months there in solitude, covertly ignored by their tribe. But finally they were discovered by Ironclaw Hunter's and dragged away. Ruin was taken to the Dungeons of the Ironclaws and spent long torturous months there, beaten, bloodied and broken in their cruel underworld. She truly learned to hate in those dungeons, where once she was a hearty and joyful person full of hope, now she was all pain and anger and hopelessness.

Ruin would have rotted in those dungeons or died there if not for her tracking ability. The Queen reluctantly saw how useful she would be in rounding up the remaining magical creatures and cunningly imprisoned her mother, Leeta, in the most fortified and secreted cage imaginable. Ruin was warned that, if she were to disobey the Queen or her father were to do anything that might harmfully affect her kingdom, Leeta would be tortured and eventually brutally killed. Ruin was told that she could move about as she liked so long as no one told her otherwise, the Queen enjoying have such a rare and impressive trophy in her power and liking to show her off to her people, like she showed off her dragon heart. Ruin had lost all heart, all the fight beaten from her and she acquiesced, soulessly venturing into the secret havens of her magical brethren and capturing them to be dragged away into the dungeons.

For a long while her body moved seemingly without her mind's presence and she fought and killed as though brain dead. However her mind was not one of placid weakness, she was a dragon, she rebelled against containment and confinement. So she began testing her chains, letting some of her bretheren go at the risk of punishment, sometimes bringing back some other head to prove her kill. And so she continues carrying out the awful tasks given to her with a grim determination to survive.

Skills and Abilities -

Ruin can hear the words of the wind, from wherever it blows she can be told of what it passes and can decipher the lay of the land and any danger that they might encounter upon the way.

Her dragon hearing is exceptional, powerful as well as exact. He can pick out a single voice in a crowd and identify a person by the sound of their heartbeat. However her human mind can often not cope with the intensity of this level of hearing and it can be a curse as loud noises often distract her and at worst cause her to become paralyzed for a few moments.

Her eyes are like eagles, picking out a solitary figure on a distant horizon. She can also tell if someone is lying unless they are particularly skilled at it, noting tiny changes in their facial expressions and calculating telling ticks in their body language.

Her reflexes are astounding, unparalleled, able to react to something before it even fully occurs in an almost premonition-like manner. She is also fast and strong with her strikes, using continuous, unrelenting circles and spirals of her two small swords to batter her enemies into submission, or lightning fast strikes to vital areas to give a clean kill.

Other than her combative powers she is also an adept healer, being knowledgeable of almost every medicinal or poisonous plant or creature in an area unless she has never been there, and there are very few places she has never been. She can also often detect what is wrong with a person just by using her delicate hearing and detailed sight.

What with her dragon blood, meditation sometimes allows her insight and inspiration into things, it might be a sudden burst of clarity or perhaps she might be given a brief hunch of the best trail ahead. She calls it 'the drums of the world' and they can either tell her vitally important things, or nonsensical tripe about the weather. However this is only useful when she is in a calm mood, a state she rarely enters nowadays.

Her dragon legs give her great sprinting speed and good jumping ability. Although she cannot fly, beating her wings allows her to fall down any high drops without hurting herself and she can glide a bit.

Lastly her dragon blood also grants her immunity to illusionary magics of the mind. She can see through all deceptions created by magic and cannot be hypnotized or incapacitated in any way using mental magic. Physical magic is also slightly less effective against her.

Weapons and Arsenal -

She has a pair of thin blades. They are forged in her father's dragon fire so they are abnormally durable and can slice through magical barriers and other magical forces.

Her entire body is littered with knives of differing shapes and sizes.

Her pack is always full of ingredients for poultices and other remedies

Carmen's Theme:
Flamenco - Directed by Carlos Saura
Kill of the Night - Gin Wigmore

Name: Carmen Martirio
Age: 741
Species: Vampire
State: Royal Vampire

Appearance:

Personality: Carmen has a very gentle demeanor and is considerate and compassionate. However she is also strong and quite merciless, being capable of doing whatever is right and defending it passionately. She has no guilt for killing anyone since she never kills without a reason that satisfies her.

History: Carmen lived as a dancer and a Courtesan of the City Valencia, dancing in the day and then entertaining gentlemen who came to her quarters at night. She practiced an ancient form of flamenco dancing in Valencia and rose quite high in fame for her dancing. She even danced for El Cid, the legendary Military Commander and lord of Valencia until he died in 1099. For a while after she danced in the failing city, sad for the loss of its beauty.

She attracted the attention of a very old wandering Vampire named Meneshe who had come from jeruselum after the first Crusaders landed. Many Vampires fled from jeruselum at that time since holy men are trained in the identification and destruction of vampires. He was very tired and downhearted, a vampire old beyond reconning and just as wise. He saw Carmen's youthful beauty closeted in the dark and crumbling Velencia and he was saddened to see it. He offered her two choices. Either he could smuggle her away from the city and find her a husband of noble birth and character so that she might live in luxury the rest of her life, or he could change her and she might follow him to venice and dance and be beautiful freely and for forever.

She was conflicted for some time but eventually the thought of being bound to a man for the rest of her life seemed a thankless existence and she chose to follow him. Their relationship grew and Meneshe took on a paternal love of Carmen, protecting and nurturing her in vampire society while Carmen was as dedicated and loving a daughter as any.

They traveled away from Valencia before the city was taken and journeyed to Venice where there was a florishing vampire society of Nobles and royalty. Carmen's dancing was much loved among the Vampire courts and she rose in esteem not only for her maturity and cunning but also for the calm way she handled feeding. While they remained there Carmen noticed Meneshe being bagered to accept a position in Royalty but he maintained a refusal which Carmen was greatful for. Royals were never at liberty and Carmen enjoyed journeying with Meneshe.

In the year 1110 news was heard of the Crusader's attack upon Beirut and even though he did not wish for responsibility, Meneshe decided to return to Jeruselum and try to aid the muslim rebellion against the Crusaders. Carmen insisted upon joining him and a large number of other Vampires agreed to come but it took some time to organise and only in the year 1125 did they set out. They arrived and began the fight against the English but a new and dangerous enemy awaited them for the crusaders contracted angels to their soldiers. These soldiers were called Templars and although they had no significant destructive power they did not die and did not feel pain because of the protection of their angels.

A while after Meneshe and Carmen joined the fight Carmen became contracted to a fearless and passionate Arab Prince named Ṣalāḥ ad-Dīn who charged her to aid him until Richard the Lionheart was driven from Ṣalāḥ ad-Dīn's homeland. Carmen respected and trusted Salah from the first and through their long relationship she came to love him though this was a great pain for her whom had to take his soul.

The three, Meneshe, Carmen and Ṣalāḥ ad-Dīn, spent long years trying to repel the Crusaders and Templars and Carmen's prowess in battle rose to great heights. However in the year 1180 Meneshe was killed while battling against a large number of Templar knights although the battle overall was won. Carmen lost heart for the fight after that but could not cease since her contract bound her to continue.

The angel Marcus, whom had been the death of Meneshe, had taken his soul and became a Seraphim. He came to Carmen and begged her forgiveness for he was repulsed at having caused a living thing such anguish. She did not forgive at first but the Seraphim would not leave and Carmen found herself warming to his company. Not being one to dwell on the past at that time, she forgave Marcus and they became good friends. With his help Ṣalāḥ ad-Dīn's wish was fullfilled and he became sultan of Egypt until Richard the Lionheart left Jeruselum.

Carmen chose to keep Ṣalāḥ ad-Dīn's memories once she became a Whole Vampire and, with Marcus, began a journey to England to observe the monsters whom had caused so much bloodshed. She stopped off in Venice for a time and was comforted by the Nobles there whom had known Meneshe. While there she gained another contract which turned out to be a very simple task and another. Very soon she was known for her ability and she was sought out by Humans for help with their various problems.

She managed to escape from Venice when she had gained another seven souls but again got sidetracked by wanting to visit her homeland of Spain. She arrived there by 1470 and stayed there, learning the new Flamenco dance and entertaining herself with simple pleasures that she had forgotten. Marcus left for England in the middle of this and Carmen promised to follow, which she did, eventually. During her time in Spain she gained 23 souls, putting her way over the requirements for a place in the Royal Covern and when she once again set off for England it was 1587 making her 510 years old.

She came to England, was reunited with Marcus and was asked to accept a seat in the Royal Covern which, after some deliberation, she did. Since then she has been devoting her strength and abundant time to managing her Covern in the English countryside near the Lake district.

Name: Rowan Drake (left) and Alexander Fife(right)
Age you were turned: Rowan Drake-27 Alexander-21
Age you are now: Rowan Drake: 820 Alexander Fife: 521
Year you were turned: Rowan Drake: 1191 Alexander Fife: 1510
Diet: Their diet is a mix of human and animal blood depending upon where they inhabit at that time and what kind of people are around them. For instance in the two world wars their diet consisted mainly of human blood.

Personality: Rowan has a calm and philosophical disposition. He is gentle mostly but can be very ruthless and he very rarely feels guilt. He is intuitive and understands people well but he is also quite laid back and somewhat lazy. He is humorous and satirical and can use cutting sarcasm when he wants to.

Alexander is a very joking kind of person but not overly so. He is very active and tactile, hugging friends and especially jumping onto Rowan's back when he least expects it. He's very musical, carrying some kind of musical instrument with him wherever he goes and often whipping it out at the most unexpected times. He may seem naive but in a serious situation his personality changes completely and he becomes hard and confident.

Items: Rowan wears a worn gold pendant on his belt with arabic writing on it.

History:

Rowan was born the child of a poor nobleman. His father's family had been rich and powerful but slowly they had diminished and Rowan was born into the ruins of a great family. He decided to become a knight and used his natural born cunning and strength to quickly move his way up in the ranks, eventually being accepted into the close confidences of King Richard the Lionheart. At the age of twenty three he was chosen to accompany the King to the holy land to fight in the third Crusade. He came for his friendship to the king but he was decidedly uninterested in the campaigns, thinking them foolish and wasteful.
During his time there he fought against Saladin often and the two found themselves respecting one another. At the battle on the Arsuf plains Rowan was injured defending Jaffa from Saladin's forces and was taken captive by him, even though Jaffa was not taken. He lived around Saladin for a long while and was well treated by him. The two even became friends although Rowan was not allowed to rejoin his king. There was a strange man in Saladin's court whom rarely came out in the daylight and when he did he was shrouded in thick black robes. Rowan met this man occasionally and they also became close, although Rowan knew hardly anything about him. The man seemed intrigued with him and one night while Rowan went for a walk, the man offered him wine which turned out to be his own blood and then ran Rowan through with his own sword. Rowan awoke in bewilderment and during the course of the day him killed and drank the blood of a serving girl. Rowan was horrified and went to Saladin, begging him to execute him. Saladin saw what had happened for he knew of vampires. He refused to kill Rowan but banished him from his court and left him in the desert, leaving with him a pendant of gold.
Rowan was burned in the desert sun but he had just enough thick clothing to survive and using his vampiric sense he managed to sustain himself with the blood of the desert creatures until he found civilisation. He learnt to control his bloodlust and managed to return to england, to the great joy of King Richard. However soon he realised that, not only did he have supernatural strengths, he also didnt seem to be aging. He was the first to notice it and swiftly took action even though it pained him to do so. He pretended to fall ill and let a servant find him stone old and not breathing in his chambers. He let the mourning take its course and just escaped the coffin to flee into the country.
He lived quietly for a long while, flitting in and out of court on occasion until he met a young and talented musician.

Alexander was a minstrel in Henry the eighth's court and was highly esteemed by the king. However Alexander didnt want to be a kings minstrel for his life and hated being tied to court by Henry. He and Rowan met and gradually came to trust one another, finally becoming lover's. Alexander knew of Rowan's vampiric nature and eventually convinced Rowan to turn him into a vampire. They fled Henry's court and went into hiding for a while. Rowan taught Alexander self control and as the years went by they saw an opportunity in the newly dscovered america. They swam there over the sourse of a week and have lived there ever since, adjusting to each turn of the century and acquiring new musical talent along the way.

Character theme: Back in Black
Appearance:
Name: Corvus Mormont
Age: 53
Gender: Male
Race: Human basically
Sexuality: Heterosexual with repressed Bisexuality
Alleigance: He works for himself and his master.
Personality: Reath has a rather jaded but jovial character. He is grumpy alot and sighs and grumbles about tasks he has to do. He grumbles about a lot of things, incompetence, the hotheadedness of youth, society in general. However he is in fact a laughing and loving person, big and gruff but cuddly like a teddy bear. He is burdened with an incredibly fatherly mentality which makes him want to defend and protect any and all people around him. He will curse about it and shrug off sympathy or understanding but he will have moments of gentleness and caring. Generally he is bright and loud, though he can be soft.

History: Corvus had a relatively normal life and an even more average death. He was a middle child to a family of twelve sons and daughters, never likely to inherit anything and expected to get a good job and a nice wife and raise a respectable family. He enlisted in the army at the average age, not having any particular wishes for grandeur but knowing that a soldiers life was an honourable sort of way to spend your time. Lacadasically he had risen in the ranks, his acts of astounding herosim coming pretty naturally and instinctually to him, so much that he was always surprised to be commended or promoted. People claimed him a hero, a great defender, a grand warrior! He never really noticed the difference between that and soldier and usually dismissed idolisation. However he greatfully accepted compliments on his skill, these he definately enjoyed. In the end it was quite a simple death for him, stuck on the end of a pike in the middle of a battlefield. He had a kind of 'this wasn't quite how I wanted it to end' realisation, but he wasn't one to change his mind now so he accepted his death and spent his final moments trying to forget the pain by reliving special memories.

Ok so she is a sexy pretty lady, who has succubus powers. They are, being very good at diplomacy (I.E people listen to her because she's really pretty and generally she has an aura of calm and trust... also seducing) When she touches people they kinda become putty in her hands (depending upon willpower of the person) And finally sexual contact replenishes her energy and she can heal really quickly if she kisses/has sex with someone (kissing healing say a bash to the head and a few nasty cuts while sex potentially saving her life) And she gains quite a bit of speed and strength when she has sexual contact too. And she's pretty and she loves everyone and she is adorable

Personality

Hard//Tough//Stalwart
Aslaug doesnt do backing down or giving up. She deals with the problem at hand and, while she may grumble and mutter about the situation, she'll do it while taking out the problem with a heavy sword swing to its face or one precise Snipe to its nether regions. She'll endure anything you can think of and more. Beat her, shoot her, throw her off a cliff, but you'll never break her. She has held the record for longest resistance against torture without dying or giving up and she plans to beat it if she's ever stupid enough to get captured a second time.

Loyal//Determined//Trustworthy
If Aslaug gives you her trust and friendship then you can expect her to deliver. The problem is knowing when she has, because its often hard to tell with her. She might be patting your back and suggesting names for your children one minute, then throwing you into a dungeon and grilling you for information the next. The best way to know she's got your back is if you have hers (and you arent involved in anything particularly illegal). Still, even like this, it doesnt mean she'll treat you tenderly or gently. Say someone had you at knife point and was screaming something about slitting your throat if she doesnt put her weapon down. She'd most likely shoot you herself somewhere mildly non-lethal, use the surprise factor to shoot your captor and then slap on some Medical salve and drag you back home. To be honest it takes alot to be Aslaug's friend, but at least you know you wont die.

Harsh//Unyielding//Heartless
Aslaug doesnt particularly care about your children, your wife, your husband, your parents. Aslaug has no qualms with harming innocent civilians if there is no way around it. This doesnt mean she wont try and find another way, she isnt cruel or excessively callous and its in her best interests to leave a place with more friends and allies than when she came. But she has a mission usually, and she intends to report back with a 'Mission completed' at the end of the day. She's not a Villain, she's not a Hero, she is just the essence of practicality.

Unwilling Leader//Strategic//Inspiring
Aslaug wouldn't like to admit it, but she's good at being a captain. She's done it before and she's probably going to have to do it again but that doesnt mean she'll like it. As a Leader, she cant help but take the whole squad under her wing and think of them as entirely her responsibility. She might be okay with sacrificing some buildings, civilians or unknown military, but she finds it very hard to sacrifice soldiers put under her command. If she does that, it means she did something wrong, she was in control and she screwed up and it would be her fault if any of them didnt come back to their families afterwards. She deals with this heavy guilt fine, but that doesnt mean she likes it and it doesnt mean she'll seek it out. Still, her dedication to the men and women beneath her means, ironically, that she can quite easily make soldiers ready to die for her, ready to charge into battle with a roaring battle cry and ready to follow any order she gives even if its to the death.

Biography

Aslaug was born to a noble family, charged with the running of one of the Border towns in Balefall. The town was situated right between the borders to Vanthorn and Vardendale and so a position in constant peril from all the various skirmishes that broke out between the countries. It was also a cold place, snow falling for the majority of the year and summer being the only time the poor townsfolk felt the warmth of the sun. It was a harsh and dug down existence with conflict and death around every corner, border towns often took the brunt of the hostilities. Aslaug's family were full of excellent and noble warriors and Aslaug had three elder brothers who were all Griffon Knights, a family tradition, but year after year the attacks got harder to rebuff and their small army dwindled in number.

And so it happened that, in four years of particularly heavy attacks, one by one her father and elder brothers were taken from her. Aslaug was just twelve when first her father died, barely out of childhood by most accounts. Her third eldest brother succumbed to his wounds soon afterwards. The experience solidified a certain type of steel in her, the young girl throwing herself into her studies in favour of spending time with grief. By the time she was fifteen she was the heir to her family's holdfast and with only her grieving mother to support her. And then her mother was quickly taken ill with heartache. She did recover eventually however, in the time she was bedridden, Aslaug took the responsibilities laid upon her without complaint and diligently worked to rebuild what had been destroyed. She found she had good ability with organisation and inspiring the troops but her political machinations were pitiful compared to her little sister, a constant presence at her side, who just simply shone in that regard. And so once her mother returned to work alongside them, Aslaug was decided. She was no dainty woman to find a husband and settle down. She wanted to find the strength to fight for peace and protect others, devote herself to the sword and be a great general eventually.

She left her home quickly, making for one of the mountain fortresses that trained Knights to ride upon Griffons into battle. All in her family with the leanings of a Warrior had made the trip, her dead father and brothers included. It seemed like a good way of honouring them, to follow in their footsteps. She assumed she would find it simple, an easy thing for someone so dedicated. Of course, she was wrong.

It was quite the learning curve, she was an angry youngster and she hated authority so the first few months were very difficult. But she adapted and she learned, all her rebellious attitude and fury at the world worked out through lots of hand-to-hand combat training and a smattering of shouting matches. Aslaug was an outcast at first and had no problem that. She did not have a particularly kind heart and had no real desire for friends, along with being very standoffish at that age. But eventually, make friends she did, once she'd climbed down from her high horse long enough to talk to people. She was glad for it. Friends, she found, were something she had long wanted but never had the time for. She ended up cherishing friendship above a lot of things and her friends always knew they could trust her to defend and protect them.

Caring for her Griffon also helped tolerance grow into her personality. If you were impatient with Griffon, it would bite you and even young Griffons have large, strong beaks. Eventually, she took a Griffon of her own, later than all her peers, although she was insistent that she wasn't going to get attached. He was a majestic, tawny coloured male with thick feathers and a bushy tail that he liked to sweep about like he owned the place. She named him Bjorn and, of course, he burrowed into her heart, though she denied it for a good long while.

Combat History

Aslaug distinguished herself in many different ways during her years as a Griffon Knight. The Commander of the Fortress took interest in her, noting her prowess and control in battle and her ability to inspire her comrades, placing her in positions of Command quickly. She worked in a variety of different patrols and gained a wide variety of experience in war. However, no matter how disciplined and by the book she tried to be, she was still a bolshie and combative and argumentative soldier. Her respect for her higher ups usually showed as her arguing with them more. The Commander could cope with this, other Soldiers not so much. This obviously was not something the Military tolerated and the amount of insubordination charges thrown at her were immense. Her nature continued to her comrades as well, some people she would get on with, some not, and she'd meet all of them in the combat ring at one point or another.

Her whole career was an up and down rollercoaster ride. Sometimes she was lauded for her impressive tactics and decisive victories and she would be promoted to Commander. Then she would take her Soldiers, disobey orders, succeed with much less casualties and bring a victory home anyway. But those in Command criticized her for the disobedience and she was punished accordingly. This usually lead to her Soldiers getting angry and rebellious on her behalf and the whole thing became a mess. Aslaug became known as a troublemaker throughout the entire Country.

At the very least, she became infamous for her exploits. Most everyone had heard of Aslaug, the Griffon Knight, all round pain in everyone's side. However infamy can be a curse as well as a blessing and eventually the inevitable happened. At first it seemed an honour, to be hand picked by the King of Baleful to command a force in a siege on one of the border Fortresses of the Vanthorn Kingdom. Take the Fortress he'd said. But when Aslaug reached the place and looked at her meagre forces and considered the stretched thin Army of Baleful as a whole, she disregarded that order without a second thought. The place was huge, she had no hope of keeping it past a few days and she would lose good men trying to defend it. Even if the full garrison had arrived in time, the country was stretched thin already. They were never going to sustain-ably hold the place, so Aslaug decided to destroy it instead. She blitzed the walls with what little siege equipment she had and then used those found inside the keep. If they couldn't have it then might as well make it useless for their enemies too. Needless to say, she pushed just a little too far in defying the King of Baleful's orders and she was forced into exile immediately afterwards.

Recent History

Aslaug wasn't particularly distressed by the sudden change in her life. She missed her family, but she had often spent time away from them and, in all honesty, she didn't think a brief trespass across the border to see them would be too difficult. Suddenly she was freer with her time and her talents. She searched for a cause that helped all rather than just one country and she gave her help to others as she went. She didn't resent this type of work, she loved it in fact. She finally felt challenged and the people she worked with generally liked and respected her, which was a new experience. And then she got to meet Military Veterans and high-ups from other countries and races. There was one in particular, a human man named Knight Commander Jorah Horedan who lead a Legion of Templars in Morcrest. Templars were Noble Knights who sought out and destroyed demonic creatures and evil magicks, as well as controlling the Mage population and making sure to hunt down any Mges who went rogue. They were not necessarily well liked as an order, certainly some could abuse their power, but Jorah was a very honest and impressive man. He was a tall, wide, and bear like, with streaks of grey in his thick black hair and beard and a bronze tone to his scarred skin. Aslaug found that she got along with him very well, though inevitably they disagreed on many things, and she followed him for a period of time in which she met and became acquainted with the nobility of Morcrest. It was through this connection that she heard of the King's plan.

To cease the fighting altogether? To unite the land under one banner? To redeem herself to her Country once more and be able to see her family once again? She would fight for that. She'd be damned if she believed it would work though. Of course not! If anyone thought that uniting five warring countries under one high King would cease hostilities between them then they were preciously innocent of the world. But that didn't mean that Aslaug couldn't devote her entire existence to the cause and fight for it until her last breath. This was a cause she could die for, exactly what she wanted.

Sildana - These two fierce women certainly have their ups and downs. Whilst they agree on some things, they also have very polarising views on others and that can lead to conflict in their interactions. Not only that, but they both like brawling, just for the hell of it. All in all you wouldn't imagine they felt anything but hatred for each other most likely, which is far from the truth. Aslaug respects and even likes Sildana for her passion and loyalty and strict moral compass. She's an impressive woman and worthy of Aslaug's esteem. She'd risk her life for the woman if it came to that, knowing there was something in her that was worth saving.

Lauchlan - Strangely, though the pair disagree on the problems of Mages and Templars, they get on rather well. Aslaug has no need to argue over such things and she respects Lauchlan for believing so strongly in his views and fighting for them. He's blunt, which she endlessly appreciates, and she can easily take any comments he sends her way with a smile and a laugh. Perhaps they are not friends yet, but they certainly like each other's presence.

Bjorn and Aslaug are certainly good partners but they aren't attached at the hip, Bjorn often spending days away from his rider. Aslaug has no problem with this, she can defend herself fine without him and its nice to spend a few easy days without feathers in your face.

Name - Hakeem Idn'Abihi
A second name meaning 'Son of none'.
Age - 48
Gender - Male
Hometown - Trespa City
Dragon Name - Veshna
Dragon Gender - Female
Dragon Species - Regeneration Dragon

Appearance
Hakeem has a very sturdy and tall frame, wide shoulders and strong muscular arms. His whole body is corded with defined musculature and his skin has a dark tanned pigment to it, rough and leathery to the touch after so long in the heat of the desert sands. Strange ink-black tattoos covered his torso and some continue down to his ankles and wrists. Also covering his body are various long lacerations and scars from curved weapons and some puncture like scars from various types of spears, daggers or arrows. He is usually seen in thick black robes, easy to move in while giving some protection.

Personality

Chivalrous//Protective//Masculine

Hakeem is very easily the picture of knightly chivalry and conduct. His opinions tend towards protection and nurturing, defending those weaker than yourself and upholding the stability and security of the law. This does mean he is generally unconsciously sexist, considering it his duty to defend and protect women over men and treating them, not necessarily as weaker, but perhaps frailer and more precious. His view is that although women might be capable of fighting, it is the duty of men to ensure they do not have to. His has quite stereotypical masculine qualities such as dominance and confidence and a quick and aggressive temper, however he is quite comfortable in himself and doesn't have quite the need to prove himself as other men seem to possess. He is quite content to appear weak or back down from a fight if the situation calls for it, it does not damage his opinion of himself, although he will fight for his honour and the honour of his friends at a moments notice.

Tactical//Wise//Controlled
In the wars Hakeem proved himself to have a tactical and forward-thinking mindset. He kept his cool under intense situations and always kept a handle on a situation, no matter how much was going on at once. He would plan for every eventuality, an ambush or a screw up or a discrepancy in information, he would have a counter measure. As he grew older and became the second most powerful General in the whole Country, he became somewhat of an unofficial mentor to the younger, newer leaders and soldiers rising in the ranks. He just naturally has a face to trust and he has a way of letting people tell him of their problems and get them to listen to his advice without infringing upon their self worth or masculinity. A very useful quality in a confidante.

Loving//Charismatic//Flirtatious
As a young man Hakeem was known for his promiscuity and outrageous flirtatious behaviour. He is very affectionate and warm as a person, however he always had too many responsibilities to the country and to order to let himself properly marry and have a family, his sense of honour not allowing him to put anything above the lives and safety of his family which would not do for a protector of the realm. He has a manner that is easy and that draws others towards him, able to turn from serious to joking very quickly depending upon the situation. Older now, some of his charisma flirting has made way for a slower, more gentle character, but he still enjoys laughing and drinking and making merry to abominable hours of the night. He also still maintains a flirtatious and liberal attitude to the world in general. Nowadays he is more tactile and affectionate with his friends than loud or aggressively cheerful, enjoying warm and comfortable conversation to shouted lurid jokes while intoxicated.

Tough//Dependable//Determined
Hakeem is a survivor and a warrior of the highest callibre. No matter how treacherous or violent his path becomes in life, nor how confusing or conflicted he becomes, he always continues on diligently and bull-headedly until the situation is resolved. You can trust Hakeem to his very core to do his duty, no matter what comes in his way. This quality has earned him quite a few nicknames in his life, but generally his fellows and followers appreciate his tenacity. These qualities apply to his physical characteristics as well, Hakeem having surviving situations which would have had other men blown to pieces. In war he always leads his men in the charge and is the first to strike at a seemingly un-defeatable foe.

History

Hakeem was a very lucky child. As an illegitimate son to a young woman of no particular status, his life could have been expected to be brutal, miserable and short. But as has been said, luck was on his side as the Sultan's own young wife died while birthing his only son and a wet nurse was needed for the new Prince Yusuf. The two boys were born on almost the same day, though Hakeem was a few days older, and a search of the Palace was done for women with young babies. Lyria was found, a lowly maid in the palace, and taken to both feed and nurture the baby Prince Yusuf, given a comfortable life in exchange for the service and a place of importance promised to her son. Sultan Adhram saw the use in having a boy raised beside the prince and dedicated some time in Hakeem's education and upbringing, impressing on him the importance of protecting and serving the prince as his confidante and friend. Luckily the two boys grew up to be birds of a feather, inseparable from the first and loyal to each other through everything.

Growing up changed little in their relationship. As young men Hakeem and Yusuf fueled each other's enthusiasm and confidence, making their mistakes together and sharing in the punishments for tricks or disobediences while also sharing in the successes of every endeavour. They also trained together, sparring with each other religiously using both swords and minds, always endeavouring to be the better fighter or thinker and pushing each other to the limits with every match. This meant that they swiftly grew in prowess, something the Sultan was especially pleased with. However this section of their lives differentiated the two from each other in terms of personality. Hakeem became a more responsible and thoughtful individual in order to cope with Yusuf's increasingly reckless and excitable behaviour and he took a more reasoning role in their antics, dissuading Yusuf from his more stupid and dangerous schemes.

This was as the Sultan had intended and soon enough Yusuf also matured in mind, becoming the noble and valiant prince that everyone had hoped he would be. As men grown they became a force to be reckoned with, Yusuf growing in ability and power day by day as Hakeem matched his ascent with his continuous rise through the ranks of the military. He was very determined to be worthy of the Prince's trust and friendship and to be of use to him throughout his life. Yusuf was gifted control of the Military by the Sultan while Hakeem was still a Captain in its ranks, however the young prince made sure to consult his brother as he began to instill great change in the structure and function of their warring power. Together they overhauled the system, bringing new purpose and stability to a once prejudiced and slow army. Where once captains and generals had been chosen for their family status rather than ability, now the obviously clever and tactical thinkers were specially trained for the highest command positions and there was more openness and equality throughout. The Sultan was incredibly proud of his son for the improvements and although Hakeem downplayed his share in the praise, he was still awarded a place amongst the councilmen for his services.

It was around this time that Yusuf was married to a young Princess from the City of Dawn, not necessarily a match of love, however Yusuf had wooed and flirted with her well and she was an agreeable character. They made a good pair, neither one feeling terribly precious about monogamy and both being of great intelligence. Her name was Ellaria and she proved greatly beneficial to Yusuf's image, acting as ambassador to many countries around the continent and very often not being at home, the heat of the savannah after being born in the cold tundra of the north disagreeing with her. Even with her absences though, she managed to bare Yusuf a healthy son only a year into their marriage, named Hakim after his adoptive uncle. Hakeem doted on the child and quickly became a great influence to his growth, Yusuf often being away from home or busy with various Princely duties. Hakim grew into a gentler and more level headed man than his father under his uncles tutorlage. Another interesting occurance in the complex relationship between Yusuf, his wife and Hakeem, happened when Hakeem got Ellaria with child. Nobody was quite sure when it had occurred which said alot about their threesome relationship as a whole but the whole thing became a very non-issue. Yusuf simply took the child as his own, a little baby girl named Sessa, and Hakeem tried to father her as much as he had for Hakim.

The changes to the system that the army followed allowed Hakeem to achieve his highest aspirations and he eventually became one of three highest ranking Generals in the country at the age of thirty two. He became incredibly proactive in keeping the country lawful and safe, leading sorties of men out personally to investigate banditry and exact the law, the common people lauding him for his efforts and the country prospering as a whole. He also dealt firmly with the various lords of the kingdom whom had grown complacent and lax and who did not recognise Yusuf's sovereignty, Hakeem putting down rebellions with swift, aggressive and decisive action. The pair grew in renown and power, together rising further and further in the estimations of the people and the countries neighbouring theirs, some congratulating them while others feared them for their militaristic attitude. This fear was well placed as Yusuf turned his attention to military conquests, knowing that with prosperity came an increase in population and a need for more lands. Hakeem tried to dissuade him from war before one was necessary, concerned with the eagerness for battle his brother seemed to have. However he did not have that great of a hold on the Prince and as the old Sultan began to sicken war seemed to be on the horizon. In fact there were multiple attempts upon Yusuf's life by highly trained assassins sent from concerned countries. Luckily Hakeem managed to repel all five attempts, however upon the last he was severely injured and carries a weakening scar to this day that aches at inopportune moments.

Soon after this, the old Sultan died and Yusuf rose to the throne, so War still seemed close at hand. However it was in this year that a sudden darkness befell the north and spies sent into that area came back either half-dead and muttering nonsense or did not come back at all. Finally this allowed Hakeem to dissuade Yusuf from battle, if enemies were already at their door then it was no use throwing men away in an uneeded conquest when they may be needed elsewhere. Reports finally came from Otamaur and they confirmed their darkest fears. Some great and terrible evil had arisen and its foul creeping malice was spreading irrevocably across the country. The first borders and watchtowers had fallen to dark and fell creatures and though the Country's immense defenses had been mobilised, many were concerned. Hakeem wasted no time, a great uneasiness had fallen upon him about the whole situation and he trusted the instincts he had.

As new Commander of the Military, he mobilised all soldiers, manned every defense post and worked closely with various inventors and engineers to trap and build mechanisms along their borders in weak areas to ensure an invasion could be detected and pushed back long enough for troops to arrive on the battlefield. Yusuf scoffed at his seeming paranoia but humoured him, partly for their friendship and partly because Hakeem's senses had not been wrong yet. Years passed and as more borders fell to the oncoming hoarde, Hakeem and Yusuf rode out together to meet the forces in lands not their own, reinforcing Otamaur's abandoned or empty defences long enough for villages and towns to evacuate and flee the destruction. But no matter how they struggled there was nothing they could do to fully halt the tide. They kept their own spirits falsely high and ensured the Kingdom did not see the despair that they truly felt settling into their hearts.

After more than five years of serious War and strife and the black creatures starting to nip and bite at their own borders, Hakeem was to be found in a lowly Inn, just back from a bloody and repulsive battle, covered in ichor and his hair matted in blood. A man approached him, pale of face and black of hair with a sense of purpose and interest. Now Hakeem was used to assassins approaching in this manner so it was not surprising that he quickly held a dagger to the man's midrift, though hiding the scene so as not to disturb the Inn's patrons. Surprisingly though, this pale-faced man was not there for his life, but to offer him something very different. Merrick, was his name, and though considerably younger than Hakeem, he held himself very proudly with the bearing of a leader of men. After a quiet and quick discussion and a trip outside to look up to the sky and watch as a huge shadow, dragon-like in shape, passed over the night sky, Hakeem was convinced of the truth this man was telling. But he was not so easily convinced away from the defense of his home and family. The stranger promised to wait two days and after some private consideration on Hakeem's part, the Commander of the Trespian Military agreed to resign his duties, forsake his lands and family and friends, and follow this Merrick to his own abode and gods willing, the salvation of them all.

Hakeem took some time to say farewell to his many children and finally to his friend, Sultan Yusuf. There was some anger from him at first, as Hakeem had known there would be, but eventually there was only one thing Yusuf could do and that was trust his friend of 48 years and know that he would not do anything if not for a good and noble reason. "Go and save us all then, Hakeem Al-Jazari, you were always destined for greater things than I, though it took you until you were an old man to discover what those might be." And there they parted.

Diplomat
Hakeem has quite a good manner with people and although he might seem blunt, his straightforward way of expressing a situation often makes people more likely to trust him and agree with his point of view.

Relationships
Mother - Lyria, now dead for more than five years, but a caring and affectionate mother while alive. Hakeem always had great respect for her.

Biological Father - Unknown

Adoptive Father - Sultan Adhram, although not necessarily a gentle or loving father figure, was a good role-model for him and tried to form and shape Hakeem from a young boy into a sturdy and trustworthy man for the Prince to depend on.

Milk Brother - Prince Yusuf.

Children - He is the father to seven children and although he is certainly often absent, he cares for all his sons and daughters and ensures they are provided for, their mothers also housed and cared for. He has three daughters and four sons with ages ranging from twenty seven years old to just Six. The Eldest, Yasif, was born when Hakeem was just 21. His mother, Seze, was a serving maid in the castle whom had a clever mind and a good wit and someone whom Hakeem was very close with. She helped him in matters of espionage and was very good at her job. She had been frightened to tell him of his impending fatherhood, not necessarily distrusting him but mindful of what could happen to young mothers out of wedlock. Of course, Hakeem was clever and discovered the truth quickly, immediately reassuring Seze that he would be as good a father as he could ever be, although he could not marry her. She was very happy with this, wanting to maintain her freedom, and Hakeem ensured she was well cared for during and after pregnancy.

Later on Hakeem met and fell in love with a Scholarly woman, a historian of sorts. Her name was Resha and her intellect and passion caught Hakeem completely off guard. He truly regretted his need to remain unmarried most purely because he wanted her to remain beside him, but Resha understood his sense of duty and was perfectly happy to live in the city. Again Hakeem ensured she had a good home and often brought her scrolls an books from the palace. She bore him three children, two of which were actively planned but all of whole they were delighted to have. They, in order of birth, were:

Asha, born in Hakeem's 24th year, a headstrong and vibrant girl who rebelled completely against her father and insisted upon being trained in warfare. Hakeem eventually relented, mostly to make sure she didnt hurt herself.

Hasim, born in Hakeem's 25th year, a determined and vibrant lad who was determined to match his father in prowess and found it very difficult to be both the younger and the lesser fighter to a big sister. He always looked up to his elder half-brother Yasif and the pair were nigh on inseparable.

Amira, born in Hakeem's 28th year, a much quieter and daintier girl than her elder sister, though no less driven. She endeavoured to become a healer, powered on by her mother's academic mindset. Hakeem is particularly proud of her accomplishments.

Resha, though completely loving her children, decided then that she wanted no more and Hakeem was the first to respect her wishes, he himself becoming increasingly busy as he rose higher in rank. For many years after that he was a much less intimate person, relationships with him rarely lasting a week and many often involved men rather than women since he spent so much time in the army. Eventually though, as he rose to the title of Captain, he spent more time in the Palace and amongst politicians and people of power. One of the courtesans of the Palace became pregnant with his child which Hakeem found very concerning since he did not know how well he could protect a prostitute without insisting upon her leaving her trade. He got himself so worked up about it and she actually had to stop him from placing guards in her chambers to ensure her safety. Eventually she managed to sort it out herself, retreating into a less seedy business of masseuses. When she told him he nearly broke down in relief.

She gave him a little boy that they named Rafiq. He was of a gentle temperment and a calm and thoughtful mindset. Resha eagerly agreed to tutor him in what she knew of politics as he got older and he and Hakeem have a very affectionate relationship. He was born when Hakeem was 34.

His final Paramour was a woman whom actually approached him. She was a Lady of great prowess and skill, her husband having died young without giving her any children and leaving her the lordship of a fortress and some outlying villages. Hakeem had defended her and her holds from a band of marauders some years back and she had been grateful and impressed by his initiative. They were not in love but they were good friends and Hakeem found her exceedingly impressive as a person. She gave him a Son and a Daughter. The boy came first, named Zaeed, he was a healthy and happy child who turned into an equally healthy and stalwart lad. Hakeem was already 36 by the time he was born and a hardened and respected military general. No one questioned his illegitimate children nor their mothers and Zaeed became the one to inherit his mother's estate. Some six years later they had another child, a baby girl named Thamina. However as she grew everyone noted her frailty and weakness. She was feverish often and slept long hours. She would sometimes be unable to eat and she became thin and malnourished. This condition of hers was chronic and persistant and no matter the doctors he sought, Hakeem could not find a cure for her. His daughter, Amira, became a carer for the child which indeed improved her condition somewhat. However she predicts that without some treatment, Thamina will die before she is nine years old. This is a deep pain for Hakeem to bear and he feels in greatly at night when he lies awake in the dark and hates his inability to protect his daughter.

Paramours - Hakeem has had many lovers in his life, however he has never thought to marry. A wife, as he sees it, should be protected and placed above all else for she is making herself dependant upon her husband by marrying. Hakeem was never prepared to place so much responsibility elsewhere than the nation. However for every woman whom has born his child, he has ensured she gets a comfortable life and tries to be as much of a father to his many children as possible. His large and disparate family may seem strange to many but it works for him and his lovers and all are relatively happy knowing they can depend upon eachother.

Tara Rial - Rival. One of the greatest assassins of the age, Tara was the one sent to assassinate the Prince Yusuf some five times in the space of ten months. During this time Hakeem lost sleep and spent many hours of the night ensuring the detail upon the Prince was secure. Everytime she found a new way in he repelled her attack and destroyed the entrance she used, which certainly increased the castle's security. He captured her but once, after the third attempt and they argued with eachother in the dungeons of the castle before he had to leave to attend to other matters and she escaped, only knocking out her guards as a gesture of peaceful intentions, although she did leave them in a compromising position for Hakeem to find. The final attack was cunning and aggressive and although Hakeem did manage to repulse it, Tara got a heavy and damaging blow to his midrift. Ever since then he has had a huge scar there and the wound often aches.

Dragon Personality

Veshna is extremely clingy and attached to her human, for she is highly submissive and she hopes her tamer can resolve conflict before they need to step in. When a pink dragon does have to step into a quarrel, however, they are quick, sleight, and devastating in combat. However she really is an anxious and timid little thing, relying heavily on her Tamer for support both mentally and physically. She is quiet and kind with a caring and sympathetic heart and she sees her role as one of nurturing and caring for her nest-mates and their bond-mates.

Dragon Strengths

Veshna is exceedingly durable in all things, able to recover from almost any injury. She uses her scales to heal others very freely, being a selfless type of personality. Her whole demeanour is one of gentleness and she puts everyone she converses with at ease however this does not mean she is naive and although she vehermently dislikes conflict, she knows many awful things may be necessary in the coming war. She is rather cunning and thoughtful, able to carefully form cunning plans and stratagems before exacting them perfectly. Surprisingly she is very good at stealth and ambush tactics, this being the main way she hunts.

Dragon Weaknesses

Veshna is very timid and meek. She dislikes combat intensely and will often shy away from it, letting her Tamer put themselves in danger on her behalf. She may have good ideas but she might not have the courage to express them, considering herself much lesser of a dragon than her nestmates. She is very small and dainty so although she is very difficult to kill, it is not very difficult to harm her and tactics of stealth and cunning are the only truly useful combat techniques she has.
Character Themes

Name - Arturo Ruedas
Age - 16
Gender - Male
House and Year - 6th Year
Species - Grandmother was a Giantess
Blood Status - Half Breed

Personality

Protection-Strength-Bravery
Arturo may not seem the bravest person in the world, he will not speak up or defend himself when attacked. But if he sees someone else in danger, you can be dead sure he will risk it all to help them. He is deeply protective and nurturing of the people around him and will defend them to the death without hesitation. He has power too, and can turn from gentle and diminuative, to huge and ominous in a heartbeat.

Friendliness-Generosity-Sharing
Are you feeling under the weather today? Then you can bet Arturo will notice and do something about it. Arturo practices an art of silent, subtle care, going to get you things without asking or saying that is what he intends, leading you through the warmest paths to the most comfortable seats and other considerate acts. If Arturo has something you want, he will undoubtedly give it to you. If Arturo knows he can help you, then just as the earth is round, Arturo will do it. He has a warm, expansive heart and he freely gives without expecting anything in return. That does mean he is almost always sleepy and he often gets himself tied into mental knots about all the people who rely on him or need him.
Persistence-Endurance-Patience
Arturo has the patience of a saint and the staying power of a rock. If you aren't talking to him and he doesn't know why, he is perfectly happy with sitting outside your door for days at a time until he figure out what is wrong. He is very happy in his own head, daydreams being something he does often. He can also sit and listen to you for hours on end and still find it interesting. He's probably one of the only students who managed to stay awake through a History of Magic. Arturo has a kind of quiet, enduring determination that means he gets things done to the surprise of others. His quiet nature makes people assume he isn't working hard, but sooner or later he will return to them, task done without complaint. He also never seems to get very flustered, no matter how far a situation is going out of control. Even though he is probably very concerned, he will not let it show and instead try and dilligently continue on until the solution resolves itself.
Pacifism-Harmony-Quietness
Arturo practices complete peace. He will not attack people, thats it. He just won't. The only time he might possibly hurt someone else would be if they were putting someone in danger, and then he wouldn't feel good about it. He may even apologise later. He doesn't necessarily ridicule others for violent actions, but he will do anything to diffuse a situation before it comes to fistycuffs. Generally, unless you hate half-breeds by default, Arturo is difficult to get mad at. He has such a harmonious aura, who would want to spoil that?
Conservation-Cleanliness-Order
Arturo has a rather large insistence at cleanliness in his own spaces. He likes to keep areas around him orderly and contained and if people move and push into his space and start to mess with things, he becomes very distracted and uncomfortable. He is also very interested in conservation and reusing things. Most of his notes will be on already used parchment, his robes are never new and always mended, most of the things in his possession have been mended at some point or another.

Biography

And if we only die once, (hey)
I wanna die with you (you, you, you)
You got something I need
In this world full of people there's one killing me
And if we only die once, (hey)
I wanna die with you (you, you, you)

I know that we're not the same
But I'm so damn glad that we made it
To this time, this time, around, yeah

- Soulmates -

I remember tears streaming down your face
When I said, "I'll never let you go"
When all those shadows almost killed your light
I remember you said, "Don't leave me here alone"
But all that's dead and gone and passed tonight

- Childhood Lost -

On a stormy sea of moving emotion
Tossed about, I'm like a ship on the ocean
I set a course for winds of fortune,
But I hear the voices say

Carry on my wayward son
There'll be peace when you are done
Lay your weary head to rest
Don't you cry no more no!

- Salvation -

I need sunshine, I need angels, I need
Something good, yeah I need
Blue skies, I need them old times, I need
Something good, yeah something good
Something good, yeah something good
Oh oh oh oh

All these days seem so far away
And I went too far enough to wait
I've come
Way back then when I hadn't seen
Half them things I'd never thought I'd see
Become someone I'd never thought I'd be, oh

- New Challenges -

Howling ghosts – they reappear
In mountains that are stacked with fear
But you're a king and I'm a lionheart.
And in the sea that's painted black,
Creatures lurk below the deck
But you're a king and I'm a lionheart.

And as the world comes to an end
I'll be here to hold your hand
'Cause you're my king and I'm your lionheart.
A lionheart.

Patronus

The seahorse has a boney exoskeleton which is a message of protection. The eyesight of the seahorse is incredibly sharp, and each eye moves independently. We take this as a symbolic message of perception and awareness of those around us and our situations. When we are lost or confused, the seahorse asks us to take a good look around - not just with our physical eyes but with our spiritual eyes in order to get a better persepective of the situation. A unique aspect of the seahorse is that the male is impregnated by the female and carries the offspring to term. This is a message of sharing the load in the home, and gaining perspective of both sides of an argument or situation. Seahorses also represent a romantic and loyal personality, mating for life.

Boggart
A tall fat and ugly looking man with a large belly and a cane. He comes out and bellows at Arturo to punch whomever is in the room at the time.

Pet

Arturo has a very pretty pet Chicken, named Valentina. She is a strong, tough and stalwart sort, very different to Arturo's personality. Nonetheless they are very close and Arturo is very rarely seen without her perched solidly on his shoulder. He acquired her after she was given to them at christmas, destined for a roast. She was kept for this purpose, until Arturo learned of the plan, whereupon he refused to let it happen and took the chicken as his pet and friend. They have been thick as thieves ever since.

Wand
Aspen with unicorn hair

Other[

Electively non-verbal
Arturo finds speaking to people a basically impossible task. He just cant quite bring himself to. So he carries around a notepad to write messages on to others.

Non-verbal spellwork
Arturo has to do all of his spells non-verbally, meaning he is quite behind on his school work. He tries hard to keep himself in an acceptable range and a few teachers give him one on one time.

Giant Strength
Arturo can probably lift an entire tree if he wanted to. Though he may barely ever use it, Arturo is both strong and fast and a gifted combatant. Years in a fighting ring will do that, and couple that with his genetic Giant strength and you have a very fit and intimidating person. Arturo is also very durable, healing quickly, managing pain well and barely ever breaking his bones.

Appearance
Arturo is a massive lad. Reaching about 6'5, he towers above all his classmates. The only seeming difference between a quarter Giant and a Half Giant is the amount of hair. Whilst Raul and Hagrid grew large beard young in life, Arturo only has a bit of stubble around his chin. Other than that he has soft, wavy brown hair and dark brown eyes. His skin has a very deeply tanned pigment and his whole face and body appears much more chiseled and defined for a sixteen year old. His frame is wide and musclar, wide shoulders and a wide waist with round muscles. His skin is peppered with whelts and scars, as well as a few strange tattoos, forced upon him whilst in the gang.

Name - Ruin Grey

Age - 76

Race - Half Dragon, Human

Allegiance - Technically Erthantis

Class - Warrior

Profession - Scouting Ranger, Hunter

Appearance

Ruin's whole build is lean and wirey, short by most standards. Her skin is covered in tiny bronze scales that shimmer a blood red in light and can cast quite a dazzling display.

Personality

Legendary Temper// Bloodthirsty//Violent
Ruin likes to fight, she likes to hurt people and she really isnt ashamed of it. Its not really sadism, she just enjoys violence as a way to let off steam and let a person know what she thinks of them. Her fighting is dirty and brutal, she bites and claws and tears and she does it without much concern for her own safety. Its a terrifying sight really, when your blood is dripping down her mouth and her eyes are swirling red in eagerness to hurt you and bring you down like some prey animal, most run.

Unpredictable//Distrusting//Antisocial
When you first meet Ruin, she wont like you, thats just the way of things. You will be an existence she mildly tolerates and nothing more. She likes drinking but only with friends and she does laugh but very few people alive would probably know that. Ruin assumes you are going to betray her and if you eventually persuade her you arent out to get her then, well, you're in! If Ruin ever feels she can trust a person then thats that, but she just doesnt trust people. She wont show much of what she's thinking, its not like she will piss off everyone she meets as soon as she meets them, but any kind or good or nice word she gives you will be a flat lie or a test or a way for her to by time.

Hard//Tough//Stalwart
Ruin doesnt do backing down or giving up. She deals with the problem at hand and while she may grumble and mutter about the situation she'll do it while taking out the problem with a heavy kick to its face or one precise dagger throw to its nether regions. She'll endure anything you can think of and more. Beat her, shoot her, throw her off a cliff, but you'll never break her. She probably holds the record for longest resistance against torture without dying or giving up and she plans to beat it if she's ever stupid enough to get captured a second time.

Loyal//Determined//Trustworthy
If Ruin gives you her trust and friendship then you can expect her to deliver. The problem is knowing when she has because its often hard to tell with her. She might be patting your back and suggesting names for your children one minute, then throwing into a dungeon and collecting your ransom fee the next. The best way to know she's got your back is if you have hers. Still, even like this, it doesnt mean she'll treat you tenderly or gently. Say someone had you at knife point and was screaming something about slicing your throat if she doesnt put her weapons down. She'd most likely stab you herself somewhere mildly non-lethal, use the surprise factor to savage your captor and then slap on some healing poultice and drag you back to base. To be honest it takes alot to be Ruin's friend, but at least you know you wont die.

Harsh//Unyielding//Heartless
Ruin doesnt care about your children, your wife, your husband, your parents. Arcturia has no qualms with harming innocent people if there is no way around it. This doesnt mean she wont try and find another way, she isnt cruel or excessively callous and its in her best interests to leave a place with more friends and allies than when she came. But if she has an agenda she intends to fulfill it in the best way for her at the end of the day. She's not a renegade, she's not a Paragon, she is just the essence of practicality.

Unwilling Leader//Strategic//Inspiring
Ruin wouldnt like to admit it but she's good at being a captain. She's done it before and she's probably going to have to do it again but that doesnt mean she'll like it. As a Leader she cant help but take all her soldiers under her wing (literally) and think of them as entirely her responsibility. She might be ok with sacrificing some buildings, civilians or unknown military but she finds it very hard to sacrifice a man put under her command. If she does that, it means she did something wrong, she was in control and she screwed up and it would be her fault if any of them didnt come back to their families afterwards. She deals with this heavy guilt fine, but that doesnt mean she likes it and it doesnt mean she'll seek it out. Still, her dedication to the men and women beneath her means ironically that she can quite easily make soldiers ready to die for her, ready to charge into battle guns blazing and ready to follow any order she gives even if it probably means death for them.

Biography
Ruin's mother was a Ranger from the tribe in the north, named Leeta, a fine hunter and a survivor, niece to the head of the House. Ruin’s father was the ancient, vibrant red dragon, Methuzar, who could transform himself into a human for periods of time. He possessed an oddly gentle and inquisitive temperament for a dragon and he enjoyed posing as a travelling minstrel in order to study these humans whom had invaded his lands. Still, he was noble and grand and old by any human or even dragon standards. The pair met whilst Ruin's mother was on one of her scouting trips, a far more dangerous activity than most would think. He spent some time with her out in the wild and Ruin’s mother swiftly discovered he was a dragon. This caused a temporary lack of trust between them but gradually they worked past it and eventually they fell in love and had two children at first, Ruin and her elder brother Ruukan, then eventually some many years later a third child, Legara. Their relation was not much of a secret, having a dragon as your lover was a fine deterrent to violence. In fact her family seemed bemusedly pleased with the union, especially when it produced children.

It was a surprise even for the Leeta and Methuzar, they hadnt even considered children a possibility. But Ruukan arrived and then Ruin followed soon after and they found happiness in parenthood together with Legara's arrival many years later. They raised their children as best they could, Leeta training them in survival and Methuzar in the art of War. However Methuzar would often leave them to go about his wanderings, not being a static being and needing change and travel. Also he worried for the mountains in the north, his instincts told him he should keep a watch over that area and ensure nothing awful got out, Dragons being one of few who can somewhat resist the aura of madness that cloaks the mountains to the north. Leeta didnt seem to mind his absences and neither did their children, finding joy when their father was around and peace when he wasnt. Legara was still young at that time and so stayed close to her Sister and Mother. However they all still met often and Ruukan has always been very protective of his sisters.

For a while just their heritage made them too frightening to confront and they were left alone by the Empresses's men. However gradually as they became more and more renowned their existence began to interest a Darkling Elf publically know as the Ironclaw, a Leader of the evil Erthantis followers of that time. He had much sway with the country laws of that time and they were officially declared outlaws and a substantial bounty placed upon their heads for crimes they had not committed. Ruin, Legara and her mother lost contact with their family and were forced to flee across the sea to the Frozen Isles. They spent some months there in solitude, covertly ignored by their relatives there as they rebuilt a home for themselves. But finally they were discovered by Ironclaw Hunter. Leeta was killed as soon as she was found, brutall and callously. Legara and Ruin were dragged screaming away back to the capitol in solid chains. Ruin was taken to the Dungeons of Ironclaw and spent long torturous months there, beaten, bloodied and broken in his cruel underworld. She truly learned to hate in those dungeons, where once she was a hearty and joyful person full of hope, now she was all pain and anger and hopelessness. But she still survived and they did not break her.

Ruin would have rotted in those dungeons or died there if not for her highly skilled tracking abilities, war acumen and terrifying combat skills. Ironclaw reluctantly saw how useful she would be in his dark plans and cunningly imprisoned Legara in the most fortified and secreted cage imaginable, right under the Capitol Kathar. Ruin was warned that, if she were to disobey the Ironclaw, or her father were to do anything that might harmfully affect his power, Legara would be tortured and eventually brutally killed in the most painful way imaginable. And Ruin certainly understood what that could mean. She was told that she could move about as she liked so long as no one told her otherwise, Ironclaw taking some perverse pleasure in owning such a rare and impressive trophy and he liking to show her off to his people. At that time Ruin had wanted to bite and lacerate and fight back like a wild animal but she had self control and she understood what this was. She was loyal most to her family and nothing came above them, she had already lost her mother, so she acquiesced.

For a long while her body moved seemingly without her mind's presence and she fought and killed for her dark masters as though brain dead. However her mind was not one of placid weakness, she was a dragon, she rebelled against containment and confinement. So she began testing her chains, failing some characteristic of a mission for risk of punishment, sometimes bringing back some other head to prove her kill rather than the target she had been assigned. After some forty five years The Ironclaw disappeared and her chain was handed to one High Priest Fingar, a much less cunning man though still a force to be reckoned with. He was not as tenacious in her captivity either, thinking her just a beaten and broken servant and so overlooking more and more of her minor and small transgressions. She even at one point managed to see her sister again, though that was a short lived and heartbreaking meeting. Legara was a dragon too, captivity was tearing at her soul, imprisoned since the age of sixteen. And so Ruin continues carrying out the awful tasks given to her with a grim determination to survive and to find a way to free her little Sister from her hell.

Weapon of Choice

She has a pair of tough serrated blades. They are forged in her father's dragon fire so they are abnormally durable and can slice through magical barriers and other magical forces.

Her entire body is littered with knives of differing shapes and sizes.

Powers & Abilities
The Wind's Daughter
Ruin can hear the words of the wind, from wherever it blows she can be told of what it passes and can decipher the lay of the land and any danger that she might encounter upon the way.

Dragon Senses
Her dragon hearing is exceptional, powerful as well as exact. He can pick out a single voice in a crowd and identify a person by the sound of their heartbeat. However her human mind can often not cope with the intensity of this level of hearing and it can be a curse as loud noises often distract her and at worst cause her to become paralyzed for a few moments. Her eyes are like eagles, picking out a solitary figure on a distant horizon. She can also tell if someone is lying unless they are particularly skilled at it, noting tiny changes in their facial expressions and calculating telling ticks in their body language.

Dragon Body
Her reflexes are astounding, unparalleled, able to react to something before it even fully occurs in an almost premonition-like manner. She is also fast and strong with her strikes, using continuous, unrelenting circles and spirals of her two small swords to batter her enemies into submission, or lightning fast strikes to vital areas to give a clean kill. Her dragon legs give her great sprinting speed and good jumping ability. Although she cannot fly, beating her wings allows her to fall down any high drops without hurting herself and she can glide a bit.

Herbalist in Training
Other than her combative powers she is also an adept healer, being knowledgeable of almost every medicinal or poisonous plant or creature in an area unless she has never been there, and there are very few places she has never been. She can also often detect what is wrong with a person just by using her delicate hearing and detailed sight.

Mind of Steel
Lastly her dragon blood also grants her immunity to illusionary magics of the mind. She can see through all deceptions created by magic and cannot be hypnotized or incapacitated in any way using mental magic. Physical magic is also slightly less effective against her.

Name - Thrask
Race - Dwarf
Age - 189
Gender - Male
Height/Weight - 4'0 Feet, 178 Pounds
Place of residence - Mount Gundabad

Appearance
Thrask is a very dwarf-like dwarf when it comes to physique. His whole body is thick, broad and tough with wide shoulders and a heavily muscled frame. As is the want of dwarfs, his limbs and body is short and stocky while his skin is rough and leathery with a slightly dark pigment to it. Surprisingly his beard is rather short even though it is obvious he is no youngling dwarf. In fact, from the grey in his mane and the lines on his dramatically featured face, one would accurately assume he was a dwarf passing his prime, though indeed he seems no less healthy for the aging. His body is also covered in scars and tattoos, dwarvish lettering peppering his chest and arms in clearly defined horizontal and vertical lines that are marred in some places by huge gashes from wounds long gone.

Weapons

One-Handed Dwarven Battleaxe

Dwarven Dagger

Dwarven Shield

Other supplies

200 gold pieces
Bedroll and Blankets
Cast Iron Pot
Clotting and Disinfectant salves
Skinning Knife
Water Skin

Greatest Strength - Endurance
Greatest Weakness - Diplomacy

Personality

Loyal//Determined//Trustworthy
If Thrask gives you his trust and friendship then you can expect him to deliver. The problem is knowing when he has because its often hard to tell with him. He seems to have an almost constant scowl on his face and its rare for him to relax around individuals other than his family or close friends. The best way to know he's got your back is if you have his (and you arent involved in anything particularly illegal or mean). Still, even like this, it doesnt mean he'll treat you tenderly or gently. Say someone had you at knifepoint and was screaming something about slitting your throat if he doesnt put his axe down. He'd most likely throw a throwing knife at you himself, somewhere mildly non-lethal, use the surprise factor to decapitate your captor and then slap on some medical salves and drag you back to base. To be honest it takes alot to be Thrask's friend, but at least you know you wont die.

Hard//Tough//Stalwart
Thrask doesnt do backing down or giving up. He deals with the problem at hand and, while he may grumble and mutter about the situation, he'll do it while taking out the problem with a heavy Battleaxe to its face or one precise dagger to its nether regions. He'll endure anything you can think of and more. Beat him, shoot him, throw him off a cliff, but you'll never break him. He has held the record for longest resistance against torture without dying or giving up the intel for five years running amongst his Dwarvish regiment, and he plans to beat it if he's ever stupid enough to get captured a second time.

Fatherly//Caring//Protective
Contrary to the above personality traits, Thrask is in fact a very affectionate and loving individual with much to give in terms of compassion and feeling. He is extremely protective of those he holds dear and will fight you on the street at even the slightest mention of an insult directed at a friend or his Wife. As a Father and Husband, he can be soft-spoken, gentle, affectionate and tactile, a total contradiction to his normal attitude. His smile is warm and so are his hugs and, though a gruff person, he also has some capacity for humour and intelligent conversation. Of course these characteristics are known by very few but his wife and family and his comrades. He has a particular soft spot for children and when encountering a child, no matter the race, he can turn from bloodthirsty warrior to loving father in a matter of seconds.

Chivalrous//Protective//Masculine
Thrask is very easily the picture of knightly chivalry and conduct. His view is that although women might be capable of fighting, it is the duty of men to ensure they do not have to, this is a view most Dwarves seem to share considering the scarcity of females in their race. He has quite stereotypically masculine qualities such as dominance and confidence and a quick and aggressive temper, however he is comfortable in himself and doesn't have quite the need to prove himself as other men seem to possess. He is quite content to appear weak or back down from a fight if the situation calls for it, it does not damage his opinion of himself, although he will fight for his honour and the honour of his friends at a moments notice.

Backstory

Born 2977 in Erebor, son of a father loosely related to Nain III and so to his son, Dain Ironfoot, Thrask was always a rambunctious child with a stoic attitude. He was raised in a very traditional and strict Dwarvish family but he never lacked for love in his youth, both his parents adoring him and his two brothers equally and guiding them well on their paths of life. Thrask's father, Throrn, was a well known and well trusted warrior for his King and he was High in the chain of command, trusted by the King himself and part of the contingent of warriors whom had journeyed back to the Lonely Mountain in answer to Thorin's plea. As a result, Thrask always had a lot to live up to as his father's son, his elder brother Thrank also becoming well accomplished at a young age although he was a full thirty years Thrask's elder. This drove Thrask into a somewhat reckless attitude as a youngster and he cause his mother much worry and concern by hurrying off with scouting parties at only the age of twenty five.

He had a whole seventeen years experience of skirmish-like battles and minor sieges before eventually Erebor itself was attacked with such a force that most thought they would be overwhelmed at the first. The news of the outlying Dwarvish kingdoms being attacked had reached Erebor. However the Easterlings came upon them like a plague of locusts and Dale would have been taken completely unawares if Thrask and a small Dwarvish Scouting party had not spied their advance. As it was, Thrask managed to hurry down to the Town and warn its people, allowing them to prepare but a little in defence. But in the end that only helped to give them a little more time for their retreat, as the enormous numbers of the Easterling ranks obliterated any attempt at repulsion from the first. Thrask found himself retreating alongside Brand and his people, hurrying them up the steps of the mountain to Erebor's door with enemies at their heels all the way. Those that made it into the mountain were safe for now but all knew it would not be for long.

To the consternation of his Mother, even as he returned to her unharmed, he made ready to strike out once more and fight alongside his Father and Brother. Dain and Brand rallied their combined forces quickly and immediately struck out once again to meet the raging tide of battle, endeavouring to push the Easterlings back and let the Dwarves strengthen the doors against breach. The wailing of mothers and children that day would not leave Thrask's thoughts for many years after that. At the time, he was terrified, waiting for the doors to open as he stood in rank and looked to his King for guidance, his hand shook on his Axe and his breath came quickly and fitfully. His brother and father showed no such signs of distress. Dain and Brand seemed to have a cold sense of determination about them, both now battle-hardened old men, their faces held strange expressions. Thrask would later come to recognise this look as one of men ready and eager to face their deaths together.

However, once out beyond the gate, Thrask had no time to feel fear. He hewed his way through countless ranks of men and battled so fiercely that he eventually found himself in the Vanguard. Thorin Stonehelm stood to his left, Dain and Brand to his right and his father and brother somewhere in the melee between. They all fought valiantly and every dwarf warrior that fell seemed to take a hundred enemy soldiers with him. And yet it was not enough. Thrask and the rest saw their slow defeat, watched as their line was pushed steadily back. Turning, Thrask could see the preparations nearly completed, but his hope at them holding the line long enough began to dwindle. It seemed that Brand had noticed as well for with a hearkening battle cry, he rallied what little of his men still stood and drew back briefly before charging into the fray, Dain at his side. Such a terrifying visage was he that the front line of the enemy faultered and he broke through, doing great damage to them and effectively pushing them back a moment long enough for the defences to be complete. A retreat was sounded some way behind but most knew they would not make it back to the gates. Thrask found himself

Fought at only the age of 42 in the battles upon the slopes of Dale. Found himself fighting with Dain and Brand, watched the two great men perish.

Later on laid siege to Gundabad and after a long and protracted war, routed the orcs from that land. Also part of the war for Moria's halls.

Spent most of his Youth taking back the great houses of the Dwarves of old alongside Elder Dwarves whom he owed great alliegance too.

Eventually married well and stopped crusading, returned to Gundabad to raise his family.

Succubus
Carmen has always been a woman of grace, seduction and flirtation. She has always used her body and her diplomatic personality to overcome many obstacles and whether she has done it willingly or no it has always been a part of her life. Therefore upon becoming one of the Elite Vampires, Carmen has gained a certain enhanced latent ability to seduce and persuade. It is unlike to the normal Vampiric miasma that tricks the mind and takes unwitting individuals into a Vampire's thrall. Carmen just simply makes everyone around her fall in love with her, hopelessly infatuate them with her and through this she gains energy and power. Whether it be dancing with someone, kissing someone, making love or simply making conversation, the love of others for her enhances her own strengths and powers. This power also gives her insights into others, sensing their emotions and perceiving their state of mind at that time.

History
Carmen lived as a dancer and a Courtesan of the City Valencia, dancing in the day and then entertaining gentlemen who came to her quarters at night.
