The East Market. The North Market merged with The East Market ages ago, making it stand apart from the South and West markets as the largest and most diverse market in the city. It's a place where people from all walks of life come and go and where worlds collide. The city guard force is slim in this part of the city in spite of having the greatest need for heightened security, so the regulars are forced to enforce their own peace. They do a good job most of the time, but there have been plenty of... disagreements in the past. These scuffles are rare in spite of the wide variety of beliefs and mindsets jostling about the streets every day, and fortunately for all, mob mentality only spreads through the ranks of the like-minded.

Hundreds of shopkeepers and merchants line the streets for miles, all vying for the attention and the coins of the passers by, all doing their best to put food on the table. Many shops are open all hours of the day and night to keep watch over their wares and those of nearby friends, but most are forced to trust their unguarded livelihood to fate. For these merchants, life in the market is everything. It's where they work, play, socialize, learn, and grow.

So we welcome you to join us in this place frozen in time and space yet linked to all time and space—this hub of unlimited potential. We hope you enjoy your stay!

Hey there! I've been gone from the guild for a while, but I've been itching to return for a while. While I'd like to try to run a GUTS+ campaign, I'd like to get back into the flow of this site first. That's when I remembered a super successful Free RP I had going about 3 years ago: The East Market. Well I've learned a thing or two over the past few years, and I'd love to revive the East Market concept, this time as a Casual RP.

If we start a new East Market, I'll be using Campaign Wiki to keep track of where shops and other points of interest are on the map. The beauty of Campaign Wiki is that anyone can create or edit posts freely, and as long as people follow some simple rules, it should be a pretty cool supplement for the RP!

Here is the aforementioned map:

If anyone would like this slice of fantasy/steampunk world to develop characters within, let me know, and I'll whip up a new East Market thread in a jiffy!
