2. General info and rules

This is, as the name implies, my place to dump various character ideas I have down in whatever form I have them in at the time. The most common content to go into this thread will be completed character sheets for Role-plays I either join, have joined or intend/wish to join.

The above table of contents will be divided into roleplay. If I accumilate enough character sheets, I will subdivide these various role-plays into sub categories, or I might implement a psuedo-tag system. That probably won't happen for a while though, i expect this to remain fairly small scale.

RWBY character- Beacon's light.
Name/Nickname: Orion Armstrong

Race: Faunus

Gender: Male

Age: 19

Weapons/Equipment/Armour:
Epsilon Delta- Orion’s weapon of choice is a Polearm. The blade is designed first and foremost to compliment the wielder’s considerable strength: giving thrusting and slicing outlets for the tremendous force that Orion can call to muster with his natural might and his soul-augmented semblance.

Epsilon Delta is primarily a Melee weapon. It's versatility allows for slashing and thrusting attacks to be combed together, as well as providing good reach. The weapon acts as the ideal outlet for Orion’s considerable strength, as Orion can abuse the reach of the weapon in order to crush his foes under a rain of steel and pain from a relatively safe distance.

Epsilon Delta has a ranged function: as he can transform the weapon into a repeater rifle. The weapon lacks any rapid fire functionality, and it’s power is sub-par in comparison to the power Orion can get from his Polearm.

Zeta Bracers –A pair of bracers designed to inhibit his otherwise uncontrolled Semblance.

Armour – Most of the time, Orion wears light metal armour over his normal clothing. He is more focused on staying light and being ready to strike in melee combat.

Semblance: Hunter’s Might – Orion’s Semblance is rather simplistic in that it is a raw boost of physical might. Orion’s aura allows him to give an explosive boost to his muscle’s power output tenfold.

Orion’s Semblance is rather fitting because it allows him to augment his already superb physical strength into something truly incredible. The catch is that Orion cannot control his Semblance without the use of his Zeta Bracers, a gift from his adopted mother. With them, Orion can limit his strength: without them, Orion could accidently cause a great deal of harm.

Hobbies: Orion’s main love is drawing. He is a generally solitary individual, but he loves to draw things in his down time. Orion spends a lot of time sleeping or relaxing, and although not a hobby, Orion has a noted sweet-tooth, and has developed some considerable skills in cooking and baking. He takes great pride in his cookies.

Bio: An Ursine Faunus, Orion never knew his parents and it is assumed they are dead due to the circumstances of how Orion met his adoptive mother and gained his name.

Orion was found alongside an abandoned caravan inside a Grimm infested forest. The caravan was devoid of bodies and the babe that would become Orion was left to fend for itself in the forest. He would have died that day, were it not for the intervention of a Huntress. The Huntress slew the Grimm and found Orion alone, cold and not even a month of age. Even from his tiny age, the second pair of ears atop his head gave him away as a Faunus: yet the Huntress took him in anyway.

Without a family of his own, the Faunus cub was adopted by the Huntress and given the name ‘Orion.’ The woman cared for Orion and taught him a great deal of things: yet the boy was not oblivious to his heritage and thus, knew that the woman who cared for him and who he cared for deeply was not his mother. It left sadness in his heart that he never got to know his parents; one that remains unfilled to this day.

Soon enough, Orion’s incredible Semblance came to the fore, and it became rapidly clear that Orion would likely live up to his namesake. At first, his Semblance was useful and reasonably controllable: yet one incident at a Signal academy led many to discriminate against him as a ‘monster’ due to his Semblance enhanced strength and his obvious Faunus appearance.

Despite the prejudice, Orion shrugged it off and graduated highly in the Signal academy. His grades were good, his weapon crafting was fantastic and his actual combat scores were top of the class. He was quickly offered a place in Beacon, yet he asked for a year’s leave of absence. When questioned by his adoptive mother: he said he wanted to go travelling. She agreed reluctantly, and Orion fell off the radar for a year.

Many crazy happenstances occurred in his year out of education. Most of them were personal developments, but none topped the attack on Beacon. Orion reapplied for a place at the shaken Beacon, and was accepted into it: fully aware that he was in for a hell of an education. Oddly enough, Orion rarely speaks of his actions in the year off: even his adoptive mother remaining in the dark about it.

Personality: Orion is a generally introverted man, in that he would rather spend time with his pencils and paper than striking up conversations with strangers. He can appear to be fierce and difficult to approach, due to his impressive physicality and near-constant scowl, yet the truth is that Orion is nothing more than a friendly individual with a bit of a smart-ass attitude and no patience for people that he thinks are rude.

Orion rarely attempts to make friends, but those he does make are deeply precious to him. When he is in a social mood, Orion will often offer whatever sweet food he has on his person: be they sweets, chocolate or cookies. The quickest way into Orion’s good books is through his stomach, as his sweet-tooth is easy to manipulate.

Orion has very little patience for people he thinks are rude, cruel or unjust. He was known in Signal for being an unflinching defender of the bullied: and has gone into fights five against one to protect people.

Appearance: Orion is an extraordinarily large man. Standing at just under Seven feet tall: Orion has groaned more than once at the joke of being ‘a bear of a man.’ Orion has a well-defined physical form: with a strong jawline, brown stubble that matches the colour of his rough mane of hair, and powerful muscles. Orion’s eyes are a deep emerald green colour and are one of his most defining facial features. His nose is normal size with a slightly pronounced bridge, and his human ears are small.

Orion has a number of Faunus features, all of them Ursine in origin. The most prominent is a pair of rounded bear ears that sit at the top his head. These ears are generally hidden by a hat of some sort, generally his favourite orange beanie hat. Other Ursine features include his abnormal size and strength, a small bear tail that he keeps hidden in clothing, and sharp ursine fangs that only really become obvious when he smiles. Orion doesn’t hide his features religiously, but nor does he make a show of them; they are simply there.

Orion generally wears a loose top and a pair of comfortable jeans, covered by the plates of armour that many a male Hunter would wear. He focuses less on style and more on comfort and ease of movement.

RWBY-Beacon's Light
Name/Nickname: Isaac Frances Markeel

Race: Human

Gender: Male

Age: 17

Weapons/Equipment/Armour:

The Markeel type 4 Projectile manipulation unit: WALTER

WALTER references a unique part of Isaac’s kit, and is the main part for his dominating successes in the registration exams: as well as the two most recent Under 18 Regional Tournaments for duels and combat. WALTER is best described as a set of metal strings that is unique to Issac and useful only due to his Semblance. These metal strings are left dull most of the time, and are used to manipulate and control whatever it is that they attach to, generally Isaac’s secondary weapon: a set of ten electronic bayonets. The WALTER unit is worn as a pair of gloves, with each of the metal strings being connected to a digit.

The Markeel Type 8 Electrified stun-knives: The Jupiter Bayonets
These stun-knives are razor edged daggers infused with blue dust in order to electrify the edges of the weapons in order to create deadly combinations of slicing action and stunning shocks. A single slice of the Jupiter Bayonets is known to leave a Beowulf’s limb numbed for up to a dozen minutes. Aura shields generally diminish the results of a slice to nothing more than a dull electric pain. Isaac carries ten of these daggers

Semblance:

Kinetic Manipulation- Isaac is known for his ungodly control of the WALTER unit in order to skilfully outmanoeuvre and trap his opponents in a web of unavoidable Jupiter slashes. The source of his control comes from the his Semblance, which allows Isaac to manipulate the movement of any inanimate object he is in physical contact with. The ability is theorised to be able to manipulate the trajectory and speed of anything from bullets to buildings. The ability cannot be used on organic beings of any sort, and whilst the theory is strongly suggestive of manipulating objects other than the WALTER unit, Isaac remains a relative novice in the intricacies of the ability: only able to manipulate already moving objects connected to his hands.

Hobbies: Isaac has, since the age of 7, been trained to an almost religious fervor under his father’s total control. He rarely has times for anything outside of his elite training regimen and his studies. During the limited downtime he has, he can be found listening to music and possibly reading.

Bio: Little is known about either Isaac or the Markeel family. Facts are surrounded by hearsay and rumour, and people often dismiss the truth entirely as rumours designed to besmirch the honour of an otherwise elite family. Isaac himself seemed to pop into the public’s view at the age of ten: when he first was entered into an elite academy for gifted pupils. He excelled in the system of rigorous training, combat readiness and Hunter theory, and was hailed as a prodigy.

The Patriarch of the Markeel family is even more mysterious than the son: The man is a recluse who runs the Markeel military conglomerate: a group of renowned weapons manufacturers and military contractors. It is unknown who sired Isaac with the Markeel’s family head.

Isaac entered his first Regional Hunter tournament at the age of fourteen. No one knew what the boy could really do, except that he was supposedly a hotshot from the Private Hunter academy. As such, many people underestimate the boy and expected him out by the third round. He won the entire event: thrashing students four years his senior.

This domination at school and in Regional tournaments continued for another 2 years running until he reached the age to apply to Beacon. He could very easily have circumvented the entrance combat exam: but his father wrote a letter to Beacon’s former headmaster- asking for his son to be given a chance to test himself against other recruits. He met against a Faunus in the exam, and obliterated the poor individual in a single, devastating and well-orchestrated blow that left the Faunus hospitalised

Personality: Isaac is a charismatic individual at times, and a calculating and manipulative character at others. He is blunt as a tack and sharp as a knife: with little patience for people unproven or unworthy. He takes a long time to warm to strangers, and seems only to make friends when it benefits both him and whatever machinations he has brewing at the time. Despite this cold appearance, Isaac is more than capable of acting friendly, should the ruse benefit him in some way. He attempts to surround himself with people, and uses his charm to make friends with those he thinks are more than useless.

Isaac is a known racist: and has been shown unafraid to let his views of the Faunus be publically known. The young Hunter-to-be would rather see Faunus subjugated and accuses them of being soulless: the difference between Isaac and most other racists is his ability to stand up for his claims. There is zero chance he would befriend a Faunus willingly. He doesn’t take kindly to Faunus sympathisers, naming them ‘tainted.’

Isaac has been shown to be particularly interested in people who he deems ‘socially useful.’ This could be anything from the strong to the wealthy: and he is far more inclined to make his interests in friendship known to these people.

Appearance: Short and lean, Isaac could easily be mistaken as a push over at first glance. He doesn't appear as physically intimidating as many, standing at a mere 5 foot 10 inches. He normally wears loose clothing which hides his otherwise muscular form. Isaac has cropped black hair and blue eyes, and does really have any distinguishing scars, spots or blemishes. All in all, he looks remarkably average in normal clothing. When he is prepared for combat, Isaac favors a more offensive attire: donning a more form fitting shirt and movable trousers: as well as his trusty WALTER unit gloves. He is never seen without at least two of the Jupiter Bayonets designed by his father.

The main unique feature about Isaac's appearance is a near-religious dedication to wearing his headphones: specifically a pair of over-ear headphones. These headphones are faded from use, and are either over his ears or around his neck: even whilst sleeping.

Pieces of 8
-Name: Jay-Jay
-Gender: Female.
-Type: A human demonhost-turned-mage.

-Appearance: Jay-Jay is an attractive caucasian woman with long red hair and bright hazel eyes. She stands at just over six foot in height and weighs in at a little under one-hundred and fifty pounds. Jay-Jay is decidedly average, when compared to the more fantastic members of the Bane and Hoyle group. She is not particularly toned or fit, with nothing more than a jogger’s physique but she maintains at least a consciousness of her appearance. She dresses in every day clothing and doesn’t really belong to any prominent sub-culture that might decide her attire. Her once prominent tan has lost some of its lustre due to a year of nearly constantly studying with Oro-Mai, leaving her skin a delightful olive colour.

-Age: 22

-Powers/Traits: Since her last adventure with the Bain and Hoyle Company, Jay-Jay has undergone a great deal of training under the watchful eye of the Munin, Oro-Mai. The focus of her training has been on training her as a mage and under the tutelage of the ancient bird she has excelled. Her already prominent Pyromancy skills have been risen from the skills of a journeyman to the talents of a master; the powers once exclusive to the demon are now shared by Jay-Jay. Atop her pyromantic talents, Jay-Jay has started to learn a number of new magical schools: She can access bound items, summon a small familiar and has learned to communicate via telepathic link.

Jay-Jay has lost some of her stranger tendencies under the Munnin’s tutelage, and has instead begun to depend upon her magic more and more. Despite this though, it is impossible to discount the reason Jay-Jay originally joined the Bain and Hoyle company, and the powers that reason has. The demon inside Jay-Jay, who eventually started to refer to itself as ‘Kata’ (a shortening of katago̱gí̱) is still an unpredictable force whose powers have grown in direct correlation with her host. Should Jay-Jay transform, Kata can access and amplify Jay-Jay’s magics multiple times over.

Outside of her magical training, Jay-Jay pursues a number of hobbies: She takes an almost oxymoronic delight in cooking, considering her pyromania; she enjoys listening to music and has a very American love of coffee.

-Background: The quirky demon host has changed a lot in the time since her involvement in the Max debacle. Unlike most of the group Jay-Jay developed positively as a result the ordeal surrounding the first-born, and thanks to Kata’s manoeuvrings managed to acquire a magical teacher in the form of Oro-Mai. It cost the demon a few more secrets than she would like to have given, but Ori-Mai’s tendencies to horde knowledge have allowed the secret to remain exclusive amongst three individuals.

Prior to the events involving the first-born vampire, Jay-Jay was hired into the company more for her own sake than her natural talents. She was daughter to a former employee and a magus of considerable talents who went by the name Maven and after a failed attempt to pluck knowledge from her mother’s archives, Jay-Jay was subjected to a near life-ending mental assault by a number of demons who wished for a host. Among the black torrent of competing demons, a single flicker of white light shone through: a strange demon that asked not for subjugation, but for cohabitation. That demon was Katago̱gí̱.

Kata was and remains an anomaly among demon kind. She didn’t seem to be malevolent in any way and even went so far as to actively protect her host. It seeks something from Jay-Jay that, to this day, is unknown to all except host and demon. The demon has however, let a few things slip: namely that she is some form of Ifrit and that she is at least heavily associates herself with ancient Greece.

Pieces of 8
-Name: Butler
-Gender: Male
-Type: A demon (?)
-Appearance: A tall, handsome man who appears in his mid-to-late thirties: Butler holds a great deal of pride over his physical appearance: due to his well toned body, finely trimmed beard, curly brown hair and a number of strange-yet-delightful tattoos that mark his upper-body and left arm. He is nearly constantly seen living up to his chosen name; wearing a waistcoat and formal dress trousers whenever possible, and always in impeccable condition.

-Powers/Traits: Butler seems fairly modest in his abilities, compared to some of the more flash members of the company: He cannot move at super speeds, as a vampire might; nor can he transform into a behemoth of flesh and fur like a werewolf can; nor even can he change his appearance into that of a terrifying-if-not-enticing demonic visage, as a certain incubus may. Instead, Butler has the ability to open rifts through space: portals, if you will, which he can move non-living things from and through.

Apart from his portal-based powers, Butler is limited in his skillset. He has a certain skill with weapons, but nothing that couldn’t be achieved with enough diligence and training. Indeed, Butler seems just a little bit too weak, considering the importance Bain puts on his contract.

Butler more often than not spends his time acting out his self-assigned role as a butler for any group he is in. This can take the form of anything from brewing tea from across the planet to offering fresh attire to his comrades. He take an odd delight in offering these little services: although he takes just as much delight as trying to tease or tantalize people into entering contracts with him, where the stakes become much higher. Butler is also a stickler for reading, and takes great pleasure in reading human literature. Given his unknown-yet-prestigious age, Butler has had the time to read a hell of a lot of books, and has flitted between favorite in both singular examples and in genre.

-Background: When Bain first met Butler is a tale rarely spoken about. The two met at some point in Bain’s long life, and upon meeting the enigmatic vampire, Butler agreed to join the Bain and Hoyle Company. Ever since joining the company, Butler has been rarely deployed on actual missions and instead seems to serve in various missions of importance inside the European continent.

After the events involving the first-blood, and with the companies’ weakened state becoming an issue, Butler’s services were once again called into action by the vampire-founder of the company. What was offered to the demon is unknown, but the contract’s terms were simple. Butler was to devote himself completely to whatever mission Atticus and his group chooses to pursue, and avoid any and all contact with humans not on the company’s payroll.
