It was like a shining bastion. The pure white walls reflected the sunlight, filling me with a sense of hope that I may just find an entrance. Before its hallowed walls I felt as though all my problems melted away as snow amidst a fire. But it was a false hope. I prepared myself for this day for years. Ever since I was told the tales.

Funny, I passed all these tests, only to fail at the last hurdle. A riddle I cannot answer. I wonder, what good is the pursuit of knowledge if it leads one to a most ignoble death?

At the furthest point, past a mountain of stone, and beyond a expanse of white, sitting upon the edge of understanding rests the enigmatic Library of Cy'Lathak. The residence of Iva'Krorh, God of Knowledge. Little is known about this gods realm by mortals, or even the rest of his brethren. He keeps it a closely guarded secret, loathe to let just anyone waltz in aside from a few the god has deemed worthy, or perhaps trustworthy. The only other god aside from himself known to have set foot in its halls, is Lady Dirka and Lord Gammaton.

Floating idly above the ground, making sure none may enter, the Library itself is as majestic as one would expect of a Divine Construct. Easily containing as many floors as it needs to store all of its books, its shape and internal structure is never constant, growing as does the knowledge contained within its walls. Outside, its walls are pure white, made of a gleaming shiny unknown material that seem to occasionally pulse and flow with intricate designs. The domed shaped roofs are always covered with ice and snow, clouds somehow seeming to cover their peaks.





The interior of the Library is vast, expansive, and ever changing. It grows with knowledge generated and stored within its halls. This can be anything from history, medical knowledge, biographies - anything. Suffice to say it in time will become the place where all the knowledge in the world has been stored. The rooms are many, and the only ones open to visitors are those on the first floor. Access to higher levels requires Iva's direct supervision.

The first floor is where much mundane and indexes are stored so one can easily locate information elsewhere. Its often used as a guest quarters, where Iva potentially entertains guests. It has a number of rooms dedicated to various arts, such as music, sculpting, and arts. Iva often spends his free time here fashioning works of art for his own amusement. You'll not find much in the way of knowledge or information here, but its where you'll likely start. As time goes on, surely even it itself shall become a daunting task to find things in.

The second floor, is where history is currently recorded. Third floor is where much of the academic tomes are stored regarding physics and knowledge of how the physical world works. Fourth floor is knowledge of the magical, the special, where he records Dirkas' tricks. The top floor is a large, flat expanse where one can access the second and Third towers from and is where Iva wishes to make a garden. The second tower, at the opposite end of the field, is an observatory. What good does observing the skies in a starless realm do? Not even Iva could tell you, but it's there.



The Third tower, is where Iva's experiments are conducted and is normally completely off limits. The only way to access it, is by Iva opening the path himself. This is where all of the obscene experiments are conducted in the pursuit of knowledge, and is the only tower that connects with the ground below, anchoring it into the earth. It does not go up, but rather it only goes down.

The first floor is where experiments into the physical world are conducted. Physics, sciences, testing to make sure gravity still works. The second is where mechanical knowledge is tested and put to extremes. Primitive, as it is, but will surely make such terrible things in the future. Third floor is where Iva carries out experiments on plants. Fourth, is animals.

And here is where public access is completely denied. No matter how hard a god tries, they will never be given permission.

From the Fifth floor down, obscene experiments involving abominations are all you will find for now.



The Library is a large structure. And as such, it will need defenses, even if only some. The books stored within are semi-sentient. While not meant for fighting or defending normally - if an intruder approaches they will flee to the nearest safe room. Makes for organizing easily, since all are naturally inclined to find their proper place within the massive Library.

The only real defense the Library has of now, is its ability to completely alter and change its layout. At a moments notice, it can change walls, close off rooms entirely, hide them so people can't find them.

"For all its splendor...it was lonely. I can't help but to feel its intentional. Aside from the Illuminator, there is nothing else here. Just me and Lord Iva. Perhaps I shan't leave, and return to White Dawn. I can't seem to find the exit anymore..."

The only inhabitants of Cy'Lathak, are Lord Iva, and the subservient B'thkor who serve as Librarians and guards for the Library. The B'thkor are tireless, requiring no sleep or sustenance for long periods of time. One could count the test subjects, but really, they're just cattle to be herded and killed once their usefulness has run out.

When one exits a portal in the wall, they will likely end up here. Atop a huge mountain, with the vast empty plains that surround the Library. In essence, it's a storage space. A place for Iva to put things. A place that is ravenous for knowledge, a lonely vista where the Library looms in the distance. It is the first stepping stone upon the path to the Library. In the future this place will likely be filled with all sorts of Iva's abominations and whatever else he decides to keep here. For reference, and to deter potential threats to the Library.

Currently, nothing exists here. Just a cold, still expanse where nothing moves or breaths. A completely sterile realm where nothing lives or dies. No indication of how to travel to the library, just its pristine visage looming in the distance.

One does not simply walk down the mountain. There is no path, no indication of the way to go and the route is far too steep to traverse without the aid of clever thinking. However, if one were to look - they would find an ancient, old stone structure made of the same white stone as the Library. The second test one must pass, unless they have a more clever way of traversing the mountain.

The structure is a simple structure, that moves one to a similar location at the base of the mountain after solving a riddle.

The Expanse proper is far more easily traversed, if not more deadly. A human can not cover its distance before succumbing to the cold or starving to death. How would one cover this endless expanse?

"...No Don't leave...you'll come back...right? Stay...here..."

"Tee-hee! Look at them! So black, slimy, and intelligent! I say they're my finest creation yet! Nigh impossible to kill, hyper intelligent and can handle any physical task. Lacks any ability to cast magic, unfortunately, but with the mature ones size, it doesn't mater! Oh, if only they weren't so slow..."

Physical description:
A race of many-eyed creatures created by Iva'Krorh to be the librarians at his library. While the young ones appear rather lackluster - able to fit in ones arms, once grown to full size these monstrous beings are a force that would make most humans and beasts tremble in their boots. Their skin is slimy, malleable, and sticky, able to hold onto almost any surface they so desire. A shimmering light, their 'brain' is seen from within and is the center of their intelligence.

Abilities:
While at first appearing slow and clumsy, one should not underestimate these viscous balls of slime. They can manipulate their tar-like body with ease, and use it to cling to and forcibly digest and devour anything they come into contact with with their potent digestive abilities, able to dissolve and corrode even metal. They have limited shape shifting abilities, though they must first eat something to try and take its form - so if you see one mimicking a human, you can be fairly certain it has eaten one.

They are nearly impossible to kill through mundane means, even when blown apart, as long as their brain is intact the rest of the creatures body will eventually reform upon it. Swords will go right through it, assuming they don't get stuck and eaten in its viscous body. Their growth is nearly unlimited. As long as one has food, it will keep growing.

They reproduce fairly easily, dividing their bodies when they grow large enough into smaller immature variations.

"Ah, such shiny black skin! Hee! I can see my reflection in it! Ah, I love these little messengers of mine! Fast as night, silent as the void and strong as the strongest men! They are excellent at gathering subjects, hee! Not as durable or enduring as the funny little B'thkor, but they are far better suited towards magical abilities."

Physical description:
The Aho'Nohg. Created by Iva by forcefully mutating a human. Mildly bat like in appearance, these silent nocturnal creatures are a fright to deal with. Made somewhat in his own image, they are faceless and extremely intelligent and lacking a full gender. They reproduce by dragging humans and forcefully mutating them. Violent and often disregarding of humans and others once given a task, it is extremely focused and will carry out its mission to the letter.

Abilities:
Strong as the strongest man and hyper intelligent. Flexible and swift, they are a force to be reckoned with and prefer hit and run guerrilla warfare tactics when alone, and overwhelming speed and force when in a pack. They are well suited for magical abilities.

An enigmatic being that is as fickle as the weather. Often choosing to appear as one or two forms, he is the embodiment of 'Knowledge' in its purest form. Unhinged and difficult to get along with save for all those as unhinged as the god is. His forms are as malleable as his knowledge, and often chooses to appear quite as people do not expect him too. He does this simply by using his divine powers to alter and change his physical form.


A form he takes usually often when angered or otherwise feeling particularly violent or displeased, the 'Scholar' could be described as his more serious side. Not used often, as he considers this form mildly unpleasant, but incredibly relaxing.


A form denoted by an unwavering, joyful and psychotic smile and unblinking gaze. A form that is human, yet disturbingly not. The form he uses for 'joyful' 'manic' and 'pleasurable' things. Often used to meddle with humans and give them access to the library. For the most part,

Name: La-Zha, formerly Lazhria of White Dawn.
Race: Abomination

Physical Attributes
Extensive modification has been done to this vessel by the library. The current epitome of its research into animals and how the human mind and body works. It looks human, upon first inspection but the longer one stares the longer one will realize that this is no simple human. Cold skin, no heart beat. No breathing. If it bleeds, it comes out a thick silvery color before coagulating into a black mass.

Aside from being given impressive physical abilities relating to Stamina and strength above that of normal humans, she sports a potent regenerative ability. It seems some sort of sea life has been melded and entwined with her very being.

Abilities:
On the more magical and supernatural scale, La-Zha possesses a direct link to the Library. As such, she is a living gate that can both contact and communicate directly with it. All of the library is hers to command. Every tome, item and object that exists in Cy'Lathak she can use without hindrance. Of course, such an action is very mentally and physically draining.

She can both cast magic and is extremely sensitive to changes in a human beings mental state. Her most notable ability however, is the ability to influence a mind with relative ease.

Description:
The first of Iva's people. Hardy northern folk who have a penchant for using their head during hunts, rather than brute strength. Traps, finding their quarries weakness, etc. Most of the populace are not hunters, but rather craftsmen or some type of scholar.

The people are led by the Kadisht, a Chieftain of sorts, and the Lloi - aides or scholars that teach the young basic principles of various subjects relating to the natural order of the world. Medicine, science, basic use of tools, and perhaps more esoteric subjects, should they show interest. They spend their days often in quiet, attempting to glean new information and practices from both fervent worship and study.

The cloistered society is ignorant of the outside world, though not by choice. Many would eagerly explore, travel, and map the world - but current technology prevents such treks. Despite their best efforts, they have been unable to build a ship that could past the Gleaming Sea. Many a brave men and women have been lost attempting such a thing, and it has been put on hold until further research into construction has been made.

Notable Places:


A forest on the Isle of White Dawn. A small thing, compared to other forests but it often feels as though at the same time its vast and endless. It's easy to get lost here, the beasts that roam the place are dangerous, and the plants equally so should the uneducated find themselves in it. Iva likes to dump mostly experiments here as 'Trials'.

A massive wall of ice, no one knows the origin of but legend states it acts as a boundary to prevent the endless knowledge of Cy'Lathak bleeding and spilling into the world, causing untold chaos. It spans the entire island, and covers most of its northern half. The inside of it is a veritable maze that only one of logic and understanding can traverse through unharmed. Many gates and portals to Cy'Lathak exist here, each spitting out the person at a random location in the gods realm.

Cold.

You felt yourself drifting, floating, an endless twilight lit void. Moments of your life playing endlessly on repeat like a broken record before you. Accomplishments, defeat, despair, sadness, happiness...were you married to the love of your life? Watching your children grow? Perhaps you forwent those things in favor of a career, or money. Maybe you were ended far too soon before your time. Confusion momentarily besets you. Where did you get here? Were you not at home? Perhaps spending time out? A sudden, sharp pain hits you. The memories move faster, culminating into a single, painful, cracked image.

Ah.

You died.

Perhaps it was a horrid accident. Maybe you died peacefully in your sleep. So was this death? What they called seeing your life flashing before your eyes? It was oddly peaceful. You tried moving, but did you even have a body? You tried breathing, yet you could not. You had no need of it. At least your eyes worked. Probably.

Suddenly, gravity worked again.

The memories vanished into the ether. You slammed into the ground. Was it ground? There was definitely a solid of some sort beneath you, yet there was nothing but the blackness of night beneath you and the light of day above. A gentle, warm breeze follows and for a moment you almost feel like your being cradled by a warm embrace in this cold, vast, nothing.

"Another one, hm? Lets see..." A voice reaches you. The ground beneath you ripples like water as footsteps echo in the silence. Something touches either side of your face, as though someone was holding you gently. Your vision is blessed by the sight of another. Long, dark colored hair, luminescent blue eyes upon pale flesh. Yet you could still not speak. Somehow, you felt vulnerable. As though every secret, every lie, every facet of your life had been laid bare.

"Ah...You'll do. Yes, quite nicely, I think." You were released, but the comforting presence hadn't left yet, and movement still escaped you. "I do not have much time before the other finds my meddling, so I shall keep things brief. My name, affiliation, and status are all unimportant. In short, I am a Goddess, and I am here with an offer to save you from oblivion."

The twilit void rippled, a moon slowly edging into your vision, filling the twilight with the gentle light of the moon.

"Well...less of an offer, really. You don't really get a say in it, fufu. I'm plucking you from your world, and throwing you into another. Ah-ah, don't think your being a hero or some great, powerful summoned hero. No no, nothing like that. You'll have to work for your power, at least a little." A pause, as the moon rose, so too did the warmth fade from both this goddess words.

A gentle rain started to fall.

"That said, I'd be rather distressed if you died before you did anything, so I will be helping a little. I've already given you a new body! My finest work yet, if I do say so. I've also taken the liberty of drawing out your previous' life accomplishments and giving you a very unique ability!" The sides of your face were grabbed once again, but far were they from warm and gentle as before. Stern. Commanding. "What do I want? Simple. This world is dead. I want you to rebuild it. The people, humans, demons, are scattered. Living in sheltered communities on this dead, frozen world. They have no future, really. Either hunted by the Elder Beasts that roam the wastes, forced to worship them for protection, killing each other for limited resources-"

The sound of cracking class. The moon turned red. Cracks formed across its surface like a mirror.

"Hmph...less time than I would like. I will be putting you in a relatively safe place with others. You can find weapons, knowledge, and other things there that could help you - but do not linger. The guardian of that place will find you, and it will kill you, and I will not help once you are there."

The sound of rushing waters filled your ears, and you could feel the goddess presence fading. The world began turning, swirling and rushing around you as you found yourself being pulled downwards. Your senses started to return. Water filled your lungs. You tried swimming, but the tide was too much, the water too heavy and you sank, deeper, deeper, into the void below...

Hello there! As expected, here's your monthly dose of a new Isekai RP for you to either laugh at, love, or just go meh over. That said, hopefully the way this one will work is a bit different, and serves to catch peoples interest! Loosely inspired by various Iskeai, and a somewhat less Isekai-ish thing, LoZ: Breath of the wild. Your characters died on earth, and have been given a new lease on life by something claiming to be a Goddess.

The way I'd like this to work is roughly in three stages, should we ever even get that far. In the beginning, it'll likely be somewhat of a survival/adventure scenario where the heroes go around and well, exploring this vast, new, empty and frozen world they find themselves in and helping ailing people along the way. Later on, I'm hoping to enter like some sort of Civ-building stage in which those who chose to do so, could command and lead a settlement or city. Effectively becoming this worlds Progenitors - Take Romulus from Rome, for example. Or Narmer from Egypt, and Gilgamesh. Your characters will eventually become the myths and legends that this world will later associate with heroism, conquerors, and kings. Really, its not something you should worry about too much yet.

Don't worry about stats too much. I'm not going to particularly keep track of things like that, as I feel it needlessly complicates things. That said, everyone will have abilities which denotes how skillful they are at a certain task. I'm going to try and avoid piling on a lot of many individual ones, and try to keep things under a broad bush for simplicities sake, judge things on case-by case basis. That said, keep in mind I will be the final judge of whether or not you can do something with your current abilities.
